when I call in to make a payment and simple request of them just givign me my confirmation number is met with thats not our policy we are not goning to do it and when I make my payment and the change my mom minimum do and dont tell me and let me make it for a lesser amount and then charge me a late fee their so called fix for that was taking off the late fee thats their fix that makes it all better no

I had an auto loan with this bank. I ended up unemployed to a lengthy period of time and the offered me their unemployment benefit. In trying to get enrolled in that I was given the run around about how they needed a letter from my former employer. My former employer had gone out of business. I offered to send them a copy of my unemployment claim from the state and they would not take that stating they needed a letter from my former employer. When I offered that they the state would send them a official copy of my unemployment claim directly from the state they still said they needed a letter from my former employer already knowing that my former employer had gone under. Eventually I ended up employed again and asked if I could refinance the loan of my car being as though I was behind, so that I could try to pay extra on my loan to catch up. They asked for my most recent pay stubs. After they received them, I received a phone call later stating that they would not be able to assist me in refinancing because I "make too much money". This company went above and beyond in their effort not to help, or even allow me to get back on track. I would advise anyone to stay far away from this institution.

NEVER! USE CAPITAL ONE! The absolute worse bank next to [redacted] bank to deal with. Customer service that is no help. in fact never dealt with one that knew thier rear from a hole in the ground. And when u try to refinance because your absolutely fed up dealing with them they give u a 10 day payoff then take 20-30 days to process then hit u with late fees and daily interest to suck more money out of you. Its hard to be a blue collar worker which is the backbone of this country when everything is ran by crooked corporations that payoff senators to overlook the big issues like these.
Capital One was informed on Tuesday that an improper charge was filed, 100 times more than actual bill: $21,000 versus $210. Vendor confirmed it was $210 on phone with Capital One and my engineering business. Despite reported fraud, capital One paid the entire fraudulent amount on Friday, wiping out my remaining credit, resulting in rejection of valid charges. After 5 hours on phone attempting to resolve, I was informed it was MY problem to recover my $20,790. Of course vendor, a [redacted], is not returning anyone's calls. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and suggest you do as well.

Based on your reply - why then did CAPITOL ONE BANK give me permission to charge the card?
If there were any issues I should have been told not to charge the card. The directive came from capitol one and capitol one is ultimately responsible.

My research confirmed that your account was originally a Best Buy account that was opened with [redacted] Bank Nevada, N.A. on March 7, 2007, through online application. [redacted] Bank sold the majority of their North American credit card portfolio to Capital One on May 1, 2012, including this account. At the time of sale, Capital One became the legal owner of the account. In response to your complaint, our Fraud Department conducted an investigation into this matter. Based on this investigation, we’ve determined that the account ending in [redacted] is a valid account that belongs to you. The account was opened using the address [redacted], which links to you in public records. In addition, your account profile was updated for other addresses that also link to you in public records, specifically [redacted]

This is the reason why I accepted the offer. They should follow up on what they offer and not disclose partial information so that the customer accepts the offer. Change your name to CRAPital One, abusive, rude, unreasonable, collusive, bullying. Crapital One stands up for their corporate buddies and craps on their customers. Thanks for nothing, keep up the good work of crapping on the little man to support corporate greed and oppression.
After several notifications that a vendor was inappropriately charging my card and several card cancellations (by me) to try and prevent the charges Crapital One demanded payment on the third card they issued that I had not even activated (they activated and allowed the charges). I paid the first two extra charges, but once I refused to pay the third charge Crapital One finally closed the account and wants to collect from me. I refused and reminded them that I notified them several times and that several cards had been issued to try and prevent the charges however the left hand didnt talk to the right one in their organization so I did not believe that a form letter notification from the vendor saying the charges were authorized was sufficient to support me paying the fraud a third time. Crapital One stood behind their corporate buddy and demanded payment or they would report to the credit agencies. I refused to be blackmailed by Crapital One so they have reported non-payment. Several collection agencies and attornys have contacted me on behalf of Crapital One to try and collect the $400; however each time I explain the facts they return the account to Crapital One, everyone that touches this account knows what they did was wrong except the croonies at Crapital One, they are using their size to hide behind their corruption. If anyone with common sense actually took the time to research my situation I doubt they would continue to try and extort payment from me.
