happy with Alaskan Home Services; a patient tech, William,
explained what I deemed to be a thermostat problem as a scheduling
computer problem and educated me about on/off versus maintaining a range
of temps.
[redacted]
Showed up on time and checked out the system. I had some questions which they took the time to answer and point out. Very professional in their work.
I have used Alaskan Home Services, Inc. for air conditioner service for about ten years. On Friday, I had my air conditioner serviced for the summer by [redacted], one of their employees. He called before coming to my house, arrived on time, was neat, clean and polite. After servicing the air conditioner, he suggested things I might do to decrease the cost of running the a/c. I was satisfied with the service call and will use them again without hesitation.
this is second response to this customers complaint. According to homeowner he says we opened a branch in Texas. this is not true, there was a new corporation opened in Texas and this was a separate corporation from us here in [redacted] so these are two different companies and the [redacted]...
in texas shows the owner of [redacted] which is true. The corporation was sold on nov. 2011 to a [redacted] so he is responsible for all warranties and customers of that business since he bought all shares of that corporation.all the legal documents this homeowner has including the proposal and invoice show texas license number and address and texas corporation phone number. He paid by credit card and was charged by alaskan corporation in texas. the customer contact info on the receipt is incorrect and credit card company made a mistake on that info probably due to we process with them here in arizona with this corporation.back when this customer purchased unit the website[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] went to a page that asked which corporation business you wanted and you had to click on either to take you to that business. this complaint needs to be transfered to [redacted] for the report on texas business corporation in texas and taken off as a complaint on this report here since this is a different corporation.
Tom W. was the team member who did the system check up. He was very informative & I found out that the there was a lot more to be done, than previous team members had done (like also checking the air handler in the attic, other tech's had told me that was extra). He also explained things to me that other techs had failed to do. I now understand my extended service contract I purchased another one, because he explained it.
Alaskan has changed as far as sending great guys out to do maintenance according to my contract. Alaskan has never resolved my hot room issue, which is why I went with them in the first place because they said new duct work and an up duct would fix the problem. It hasn't and the room is still 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I have low windows and the room is under patio cover, too. They just let the ball drop saying not their problem. Their past maintenance men, previous to 2015 were rude and very pushy. They sold me things I did not need. I continue with Alaskan because I am in contract for 10 years for parts.
Patrick arrived per his phone call and did the required annual maintenance quickly. He was very pleasant, friendly, and had a great smile. I had nothing wrong with the air conditioner today.
As far as the office help goes they are curt, unfriendly and don't listen. Finally when they get it right they never apologize for the problem. Customer's don't want to hear excuses, especially if you have been in their files for 5 years!
Got here at start of his window, very friendly and professional, did a wonderful job.
talked to [redacted] and he is waiting on other company to see what he is going to do with a txv valve
Alaskan Air's representative, Scot, was on time, friendly and courteous, went right to work. He seemed to do a very good job in checking out our heating system and spent adequate time answering our all questions before he left. We have used Alaskan Air before and they are always on time and make sure all is well before they leave. I would recommend them to family, friends, and anyone who might ask me.
SENT THIS TO [redacted], Because they are much friendly to email, I eventually found your on your site under contact us.
This was the first [redacted] or the modified one, the first one and some of this one is written poorly because I was so upset and using my phone. I will also fix the [redacted] too. I will also atempt to email alaskan. If not since they are your "partner", I would be more than happy if you would like to forward this to them. Some reason customers can't, I am also notifying Revdex.com. On both of you.
I strictly use [redacted] I am an avid do it yourself type, had a handyman service, I am a mechanic/ electrician at my work, you can say I do it all, but Writing in not my strong point so I apologize.

WARNING!!! Made the mistake of purchasing the extended warranty with the new unit, it's not worry free. About $1300 for 7yrs of tune ups about =6 what ever that suppose to mean. They tell me now it's twice a year. I tell you make sure you call them, Because they will not call you, to do the annual service. unless they want to sell you some more over priced not cover anything service agreement, they won't use the word warranty, very carful about that. Even though they try to sell you something, everytime they come with some over priced labor, you find out later, becarful.
If something breaks down You have to still pay for the Diagnostic fee $65 and parts are free sounds good right! Well they jack up the labor, so you pay for everything and more because you have to pay the over priced labor of install, mine was $850 for my blower motor. They also have the nerve to attempt selling even more useless warranty at the time of breakdown which I think could drive the price up somewhere in the $1700 range. For the blower motor. They have this laminated sheet starts out with what they call band aid just to intimate you, and it goes up from there, bronze, silver, gold, platinum and I think one more. VIP? My "Band-Aid" was about $850 Which is only labor. Takes Less than an hour to install! BY an unexperienced person.
I purchased the blower motor myself from parts house through [redacted], great place very helpful for $349 a savings of $500 dollars and installed it myself in less than a hour. Do the math I don't do this everyday but for me that's about $500 an hour I would get for the install, as a contractor I know they can get the motor a lot cheaper than I can. And install it twice as fast.
What a waste of money, never felt so bad about getting so ripped off!
I have a real bad back and I am getting older, thinking just get the "service agreement " no worries, The only agreement I made was to get ripped off.
I never want to use them again in my lifetime. Telling you Don't buy their Reem unit either, sitting out side sounds like a broken bass drum every time it shuts off, the service guy tells me, that's normal. Need to tell that to my company when they fall out of the lawn chair every time it shuts off.(By the way did I mention it's only 4yrs old). I purchased a 7 year $1234.80 ??? It's not a extended warranty like I thought they made it sound like.
I am so done with Alaskan they can do the tune ups, next 2 or 3 but I am watching them to see what I am getting for my money, if I need it serviced I am calling someone else, Their service technicians are very professional, friendly and nice, also clean, I did not have a problem with them, except they are programed to sell useless warranty, service agreements?? Just a warning, This is just My experience with Alaskan. I Guess Others don't mind overpaying and getting little to nothing for their hard earned money. By the way they are recommended by [redacted].
So someone at Alaskan read my [redacted] and said call me and told me I didn't pay $1300 sorry for the round up it was only $1234.80 I paid to the penny. for the VIP Service plan , I could send you a picture of the contract. So I guess your right not $1300 or a warranty, I apologize.
You also said you would be happy to talk to me about your inferior product you are selling, the Reem, that I purchased not to mention it's only 4yrs old, besides the fact of the blower motor expiring , the horrible noise when it shuts off, when I was in there the screws barely hold into the sheet metal, very cheap made, just telling you its not going to last very long. Not like the one it was replaced with from 1972 it died in the year of 2012 when I had "THE CHEAP REEM INSTALLED"
You also had the nerve to write on here to call you, so I did and of course you are on Vacation, I guess with my and other peoples service agreement MONEY, since we get nothing for it. less than perfect experience you say, that's a good one. Status quo for Alaskan Less than perfect.
Richard M.
Talked to [redacted] this morning and offered him $1000 to cover his labor charges if his unit breaks down in future. Rheem the manufacture has said they will credit me $1000 on my account with them since I told them what happened to Mr. [redacted] with the owner of alaskan in texas going out of business. his unit still has full factory warranty on all parts and compressor. he said he is on the road and will call me back in couple days. will keep you posted if he accepts it and will overnight a check to him if he does.
Thanks,

"He profits most who serves best."
Alaskan Home Services has given me the best presentation and explanation of buying a new central HVAC. I am going to go with them over the other estimates I got.
Have a maintenance agreement with Alaskan Home Services for past 2 years, and very pleased with their work. Usually Earl is sent to my house, and he is professional, arrives promptly, and courteous. Inside staff support (bookings or general questions) are great to work with as well.
Another terrific experience with Alaskan and my service Tech, Donn!! On Time, thorough neat and clean!! I will continue my maintenance and repair with Alaskan forever!! Thanks for another wonderful appointment!!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response...
made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. A[redacted] the General Manager contacted me directly and we had a very constructive conversation. My situation has been fully resolved to our mutual satisfaction.
I informed him that I will continue to conduct all of my HVAC services through the company going forward. They have treated me fairly and professionally and
for this I shall remain a loyal customer!
Regards,
[redacted]
Kyle F[redacted] came to my house to provide a quote on new HVAC units. Kyle was very prompt, well informed, and extremely professional. He answered my questions, provided the information I needed, and was extremely helpful. It will be at least several weeks before I make a decision as to whether I proceed forward with any work, but I will definitely keep him in mind should I decide to make a purchase. I felt very confident that the information he provided was truthful and accurate, and feel quite satisfied that he would do an exceptional job.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
I had excellent service and the gentleman that came here to check my Air Conditioner could not have been more polite. He told me what he was going to do and did not waste time doing nothing.I would highly recommend this company to all my friends with out a doubt.
Kyle was very professional. He called to ask if he could arrive earlier. We were very pleased with the work he performed. The entire Alaskan team are very confident. We are very glad we did business with them.
Tom was polite, efficient doing his job, checked out vents and was on his way after papers were signed. Although he may have been here before, there was no wasted time and we appreciate that greatly. However, he did arrive just as I was printing out the memo from Alaskan Home Services showing his photo. Probably would have helped to have at least 5 minutes before technician arrive.
I have been a customer of Alaskan for twelve years and highly recommend their service. [redacted] has serviced my AC units several times and they work perfectly. [redacted] always calls when he is on the way, goes right to work, and always acts in a professional manner.
