I am being double billed for two ADT security systemsBoth apartments are in the same house, * *** *** Staten Island, NY XXXXXI only occupy apt
I am now going to explain situation that I emailed the company president:

I have been having monumental billing issues for the past months with your companyThe account number XXXXXXXXX at *** *** Staten Island has been completely disheveledThe residence is a two family houseMy son lives there and I am his father that takes care of the billing for your serviceThe security system was originally installed in the downstairs apartment in This apartment is now referred to as *** by your companyMy son moved to the upstairs apartment, now referred to as *** * in October of A new system was installed in *** at that timeThe original system in *** was deactivated in November of Unfortunately, billing did not pick this up and when the new tenant reactivated y

I was told that I would be billed for stopping my monitoringI was charged times out of my contract
I stopped my contract due to me moving and ADT could not cover my new addressI was told that I would get a $credit because it was their fault that I could not move and that I would stop being chargedSince my contract has been stopped on 8/31/I have been charged times once for monitoring of and one time again for Both times I did not authorize the payment to be taken outI was also told that I would not recieve the credit that I was told about even though every person that I spoke with said it was on my account

Transfer of service, was told by the sales rep, that this was for the remainder of my contract, for year Found out it was a year contract
Called ADT Customer service to have my service transferred because I moved I had year left on my contract They set up an appointment with a field rep to look at the new unit He gave me the new estimate, which was free because of the 399$ credit I specifically asked him that this was just for the remainder of my original contract, of year He said "Yes" He scheduled the installation for the afternoon That installer put the equipment in Then asked me for my first payment Which I was confused Since I have an account and it was transferring But I gave him the check information so he could process it During this I asked This is for the year correct? He replied, no, all installs are a new year contract He called the sales rep, Christopher *** who told him to tell me, since I am a USAA member, I can cancel

I have not had active service (my choice) to ADT'S cellular monitoring centers since the end of I have since then received several letters confi
confirming this because I still have the old 2G network system so it can not work and is inactive, the letter also states that my service is no longer active and will be cancelledADT however continued to bill me for jan, and feb, knowing that they aren't able to assist in anyway possible without a updated cellular systemI eventually called them at XXXXXXXXXXX and asked them why I was not cancelled by now and why am I being charged for a service that they are unable to provide, I immediately told the representative that I would like to cancel effective immediately and that I am no longer obligated to pay since my contract has been up for years now, I told her that feb would be tolerated but nothing else and she said "ok just let me transfer you to another department"the other female representative was told the same thing as the f

we received phone calls and every time we asked them not to call again and take us off their list

they told me no cancel fee
ADT Security services decided to charge me a total amount of $for no reason they never told me that would be a charge for cancellation they told me it would be a free cancellation and that I would never cancel because they are really good
They are pretty bad and zero customer service
I had a problem with the installation of the cameras on my computer and they didn't know how to fix it
Finally I have decided to cancel my account
Even after calling them, they left they're equipment in my place and I cannot change my security service if they don't come and disconnect theirs

Bad services from Dish in the beginThey never told us that we needed to get a permit from our local police department (so when my wife accidental set off the alarm one day the Police department informed us that were going to charge us for another $for no permit)And after we canceled our year membership they kept charging us for an addition month saying it was the balance doKeep in mind we canceled in December , & the billed us again on January 20, That's BS! And they still we still own them $after that (not a lot of money but it's the predicable of the thing
Very bad costumer services!!!

ADT came and uninstalled my currently working Guardian system, then threw the sales pitch which was supposed to be $per month and in reality was $per monthSo I abandoned the install and the installer couldn't reinstall the Guardian keypadWires left hanging everywhere and the equipment is very hotADT will not pay for the reinstall of the equipment and said they are not required to do soMany phone calls and many lies from the top downDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

Alarm was triggered in MarchADT cannot resolve issue and want me to pay for a service that I do not have, the equipment was taken down & not working

I was awaken to call from ADT in March regarding an alert/alarm that was triggered in the store At am, I got out of my bed to travel 25+ miles to the business location I was told by the ADT representative that I would need to go to the store to turn it offUpon my arrival, there was a screeching piercing soundI called ADT to get direction on how to turn off the alert/alarmTo my dismay this could not be resolved by their staff! They tried to troubleshoot this issue to no availAfter troubleshooting with ADT on the phone for about 30-minutes during the dawn of the morning, the incompetent employee on the phone seemed to get frustrated and had the gall to ask me to LISTEN to herShe could not, after multiple attempts resolve the situation As a result, myself and the other manager removed the e

Horrible customer service Every time you call central station, it's a different storyAnd be careful about your install - they do half the job and then threaten to cut you off and stop your services if you don't pay the full amount

Horrible experience with this company since system was installed weeks ago!
- Installer didn't properly connect carbon monoxide detectors as a signal wasn't being sent to monitoring station or ADT pulse
- Installer didn't provide ADT monitoring our phone number and phone password to call us if an alarm sounded
- Technician that was dispatched to trouble shoot carbon monoxide signal didn't put system in test modeADT couldn't call us as installer hadn't provided correct phone # to monitoring stationPolice showed up
- Spent hours on phone with ADT and Defender requesting to cancel monitoring contractCustomer service on both sides was useless and they kept point the finger of blame at each otherI was ultimately threatened with collection action if I didn't continue to pay monthly fee for this incompetence
Do yourself a favor and find a security firm that is competent, professional and customer serviced orientedADT and Defender are a joke

I am being charged for services I am not receiving
in my, now estranged partner and I bought a house in *** *** ** *** *** *** *** We purchased ADT services for home monitoring In June of we separated, sold the house and now live separately I called ADT to cancel our services but was told that the service could not be cancelled and the remaining payments on the contract would have ro be paid off So now the house is sold, I no longer live there but continue to pay for security services that I am not receiving I am on a fixed income I was not made aware of a policy that would require me to continue to pay for services not received If it was written in the contract (which I no longer have) it was not pointed out to me

My retired parents tried to cancel the contractThey were informed that my father approved the contractMy father has advanced Alzheimer's disease and hasn't spoken in over yearsWe sent them a notarized power of attorney and a letter cancelling serviceThey came back with a letter denying our requestThe best part of this is the monitor fell off the wallSo they are paying for nothingJust terrible

Customer service took advantage of my elderly father by having him sign a year contract instead of a year as discussed on the phone with me
I activated my ADT services while I was fixing up (and for a short period of time residing at) a rental property to sellI inquired with customer service regarding the short duration of my need for servicesSince I was a previous customer they agreed to give me a year contract instead of the year contractI was not able to be at the property the day services were to be activated because I was out of town on businessMy elderly father was able to meet the tech at the property to let them inThe customer service representative told me that my father would have to sign and provide payment; I would later be able to change it to charge my account upon my returnHe said my father would have to provide the first payment since he would be the one at the property that dayWhen I called to change the payment method, it was not explain

I used ADT security services from May until May t which time I cancelled them and signed another year contract with another company.they have billed me for not continuing with them, I do not have a contract with them and feel is harrasment.they are trying to ruin my credit and refuse to talk other than threaten me to pay this absurd amount, I am fully current on all monthly charges as they were came out of my checking account monthly

This is the second complaint I have file thru Revdex.com for this company ADT home security systemI had called on May 15, to give my day notice to cancel my services with ADTI been waiting for a year for my contract to end and it finally is coming to an endI called ADT at XXXX-XXX-XXXX the rep I spoke with I did not get her name, I had Advice her for the reason for my call is to give my day notice to cancel my servicemy last day would of have been 06/15/the sales rep ask why I wanted to end services? I had explain to her I had a bad experience with ADT in past and no longer want to do business with ADTthe rep kept on insisting to stay with ADT, rep offer me months free if I would stay and renew my contractand they would lower my monthly payment to I advise the rep that I have no desire to continue with ADT service, to please add days notice to terminate the policyI ask rep to notate our conversation on my accountrep stated she will cancel policyi
