We had ADT at our business (alarm and cameras)We closed our business in Augustits now November and we are still getting charged monthlyWhen we last called (total of times with employee numbers and confirmation #s) they still have no notesAnd the latest charge we got days ago, said it wasn't in their system and the charge wasnt from them! UnbelievableCan't wait to call again next month

This is what I sent to ADTSir/Ma'am, I'm a little annoyed at you asking for a review of your services for the installation of my "new" ADT wireless security system Work began Nov 30, and is not completed! The young lady who sold me the "wireless" system stated that two more keypads would be installed at my front door and my bedroom The temporary keypad on my back door is awkward in that it does not sit next to the door, it's on the microwave When I open the front door, I have to race through the house to access the garage keypad or the backdoor keypad on the microwave to turn the system off I did pay for the extra keypads which sit in boxes in my utility room When the keypad on the microwave was sitting next to my bed it would not operate because it was too far from the main keypad in the utility room next to the garage door So the technician couldn't figure out what was wrong and I suggested it was too far from the main keypad and you may need a repeater to boost the signal strength to reach the main keypad Another thought I had (after she left) was to move the main keypad next to the front door which would be at the center of the house and thus the signal strength may be able to reach all positions in the house I'd planned to suggest this idea to the other techs that were supposed to pull power to the other keypads, but I have not heard from anyone I've already received the bill for next month of $and set it up on my bank account If this is the level of service you are providing I think you should come get your equipment and I'll look for another company to provide my home security needs I compared several companies and was impressed by your "A+" rating by the Revdex.com and selected ADT over the othersI'm also worried that in order to put power into the keypads the techs are going to cut new holes in my walls, I hope this is not the case I was also informed that my original system installed by ADT was too old and not compatible to the "new" wireless system so new door and window sensors were put in all over my house Compatibility with the old system was another reason I picked ADT, guess that was a bust
Just tried to contact ADT customer support and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE THE automated system said it was putting me through to an agent but all I got were "beeps" Lord knows if something was WRONG!!! COME GET THIS EQUIPMENT!!! YOU FAILED THE CONTRACT!!!

Poor sales practices, customer service, and faulty equipment
My issues began with the first sales person I worked with and I should have known then to not trust Protection OneThe sales manager and his trainee were unprofessional and out of line, starting discussions about how much money I'd lose if I tried to sell my houseThey even complained to me after my purchase because they didn't make enough commission on my sale, admitting their commission check was only $after taxesThe installer was at my home for hours and left with it not completed because he couldn't figure out why the testing was failingHe left with it not working and I had to wait on another installer to finish the jobImmediately I had issues with alarms and the system and sensors not workingAnother technician was sent out who switched my sensor from the nicer camera sensor to their standard motion sensor (so a downgrade in equipment) claiming that would solve the problemThis was one year ago

I bought my home "As-Is" in with a pre-installed ADT system from previous ownerThe alarm went off one day, I searched ADT number and called to see how I could shut it down, which I was guided through and had it shut downI later requested their service, and they sent a technician who didn't bring in any equipment but only used the already available onesWhen he was done, he simply said "sign here to show installations completed" NOTHING was said to me about a "month contract " absolutely NOTHING! Fast forward over a year and because I was not using the services at all, I called to cancel services, only to be threatened with over $Early Termination Fee!!! I disagreed, few days later a Representative of ADT called and said my monthly bill could be reducedI got a lower bill and continued paying for services I wasn't and never gonna useNow years down the line I called to stop/remove services, I am once again being threatened with early termination fee!!! It is simply horrible this Customer Service agents are nothing but a bunch of BULLIES!!; that are disrespectfulI ask to speak to a Supervisor and right out refused to let me speak to one an less a gave them a verbal passwordI handle all the business in my home and up until now they have never requested such a thing.In a previous call; I was toll I will be given a month refund do to my service not working for sometime and because I could not cancel my contract yetThis person who had NO!! skill or obviously education or manners simply just hang up the phone I was very upset and this person had no problem solving skills what so everI will NEVER recommend this company to anyone I'm looking forward to concluding my business relationship with them as soon as possible

I would not recommend ADT to anyone, as a company is only as good as their customer service and integrity
I had ADT Pulse for two years and everything was fine until I sold my house and tried to cancelI phoned customer service 06/14/and was told I had two months remaining on my agreement but that they would simply charge me $and that would be the end of it, which I agreed toHowever, they continued charging me the $per month for three more months, at which point I called again 08/31/to ask what's going onI was told that the original customer service rep failed to put accurate notes in the system, so my first call was basically worthlessShe then explained that I could give a new day notice to cancel, which would trigger a fourth $charge, at which point I asked for a supervisorShe was offended that I asked for a supervisor and refused to put someone on the phone, opting instead to file some sort of report and forward it to a problem resolution person insteadA few days later, I was contacted by a local manager who attempted to assist but in the end was powerless because I "signed up through a 3rd party agent for ADT", and therefore all he can do is take a day notice to quit like the last person I had spoken withI have text messages from the local manager, ***, who suggests I take up a claim with my credit card company because apparently no one in his organization has the clout to do the right thing for their customers (my words, not his, but whatever)WOW
In summary, this is a business that is happy to take your money but makes it difficult to get out of their service by using incompetent, poorly trained customer service people and managers who don't have enough authority to do what's right when things go wrong

SAVE yourself from the left hand not talking to the right handone person tells you one thing then the next person comes and tells you thats not right you have to do it a different way ADT has been a pain in my butt since day one I regret letting them talk me into keeping it by promise me things and then they never happen or others say its not possiblei have wasted so much time on the phone with them to get nothing resolvedextremely frustrating!! I would give them no stars if possible

On July 27, 2016, an ADT technician (RThomas) came to my house to fix a signal problem that stemmed from changing my phone service The alarm still sounded, but I received no call back from the monitoring center MrThomas was here for approxmin and installed a line seizure device I was given a customer copy of the service ticket (job #XXXXXXXX) with a Total Service Call Price of $ That was broken down by $(cost to come out), $(billable increment) and a $trip fee charge Also in the Service Request/Special Instructions box, MrThomas wrote "Cust to be billed min labor & trip fee (one)." Their equipment battery went out and I was supposed to pay for someone to come fix? NO! Also, when my alarm is going off, they take forever to call the police and notify them hence my house getting broken intoI cant stand ADT, I think they are a dishonorable company with shady sales tacticsI am in SALES and there is zero tolerance for dishonesty DO GO WITH ADT!!!!!!!!!!!!
