Patti P @ Academy Mortgage was excellent to work with. She and my agent, Beth A, were both very thorough and timely; making my first home purchase a breeze! I would highly recommend Academy Mortgage for your needs.
Thank you ***!
We just finished a refi with Academy Mortgage for a rental property and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Sara B was our broker and was amazing during this entire process. She kept us updated, educated us where needed, and got us an amazing rate. I also appreciated that there was web portal for paperwork and digital signatures. It made the process easier to track and quickly sign. I would absolutely use Academy Mortgage again! Thank you for making the entire process easy breezy!
Thank you ***!
I worked with Chris R and he was very helpful throughout the entire loan process. He guided me from step one which helped ensure that I closed on time. Thanks to Chris for his hard work and professionalism!
Thank you ***!
This was my first mortgage and I doubt anyone else besides Academy mortgage could’ve made it happen. Brandon Chrissy Abby and Brenda were available 24 hours a day to answer any question that came up . They were 10 steps ahead of the underwriters and made the process very easy . This was not an easy file but Brandon Levy was able to deliver on a tight schedule. If you were looking for a mortgage company who cares, is attentative to all needs and That will get you to the closing table then Branden Leavy and Academy mortgage is the place to be.
Thank you very much for all you’ve done
Thank you ***!
This is the second time in 2 years that we have used Academy Mortgage to do our home loan. They are so helpful and they answer all your questions no matter how dumb they might be. :) We appreciate all of their help and expertise during the homebuying process.
Chris R was amazing. He went above and beyond every step of the way. We can't thank him enough.
Teena at Academy made us feel confident moving forward with them for the loan. The whole team was on top of it and we are grateful for them and their care.
I got multiple mortgage pre-approvals from different lenders and Academy quoted me the lowest interest rate right away.
Thank you ***!
Rick and Tyler we're very helpful. They answered any questions I had and they were always available.
Our experience with them during the entire process was perfect. They were quick to answer any questions we had and to help with anything we needed. Definitely recommend them!
Thank you ***!
Academy mortgage is definitely ahead of other lenders. JOSH, TREVOR and ASHLEY are all amazing!!! They got it done for me in no time! I got pre-approvals from other lenders before, only to find that they did not process everything fully and it delayed everything and made things more complicated. Soo glad I found Academy Mortgage! I looked them up online and saw that they're highly rated and recommended by thousands of people. And I agree! Pre-approval with them was very easy and when I found the right property, they processed my loan so fast that I could close before the scheduled closing day! Their underwriting team rules! With this hot market, you need someone that is fast, reliable and will be available to answer all your questions every step of the way. Thanks Academy!

Johnny A and his office went above and beyond our expectations and helped get the home we have dreamed of having. I would HIGHLY recommend Academy Mortgage for any veteran buying with a VA loan.
Thanks so much ***!
Damon and Amy are phenomenal at what they do. I was kept informed each step. The videos are helpful to help me understand each process my application was going through. Having someone come to me for the closing made it more personal. Thank you. The care and sincerity I was shown put me totally at ease. I never felt like I was asking too many questions.
Thank you ***!

Thanks so much ***!
We had such a positive experience working with Academy Mortgage and Christine T. that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants to work with one of the best in the business. The whole team truly exceeded our expectations and it still hasn't sunk in that we just bought our dream home thanks to all of these great folks.
Thank you ***!
My husband and I have purchased a couple of homes in the past and I will say that my experience with Academy Mortgage has been the best so far. Our loan officer, Kim M was knowledgeable, available when we needed her and just great to work with. Thank you for a great experience. We can’t wait to enjoy our new home.
Thank you ***!
We are very happy with the entire process because from filling out the application forms and the submission of all documentation onlne, it was very easy. Whenever follow-up documents were needed, we just sent it electronically from home. Mark S was also available at all times to answer questions or explain things. He returned all phone calls, texts and emails immediately so it was stress-free. There was no pressure to us even up to closing because Mark even went to our closing to make sure everthing was alright
I am filing a formal complaint against the Atlanta branch I was working with and the loan officer Keith P. I started working with Keith at the end of April. I went under contract on a home April 28th and ensured that all documents needed of me were submitted immediately. This loan was set to be an FHA loan with GA Dream Hardest Hit Fund down payment program. The entire process was an absolute headache and the entire team was unprofessional. Everything needed of me I ensured the team received within moments of it being requested but it became one thing after another leading up to unnecessary documents that have nothing to do with a home loan. The Loan Officer informed me that the underwriter wanted a letter from my employer stating why I QUALIFIED for my job. This is beyond ridiculous, I should not have to have my job justify why I have a position that I have. If my income qualifies me that is good enough. Days before my financing contingency was due to expire the team still had not submitted my documents to GA Dream and gave excuse after excuse even saying the way they would calculate my income would disqualify me. I contacted GA dream myself and was told they did not have a file for me but the calculation excuse the lender gave was not true and gave me the 3 methods that they actually use. Going deeper into the issue, the loan officer Keith contacted the sellers agent multiple times lying about the status of the loan and had not even contacted myself or my agent. Keith was informing the sellers agent that everything was sent to GA dream and he didnt think it was getting approved. When the sellers agent contacted my agent we knew this was the last straw and time to pull the plug with Academy Mortgage. My loan still had not even moved from the underwriters desk to be submitted to GA dream. With my earnest money and the entire contract at risk, I decided to transfer my loan to another lender that was willing to complete the file and ensure I close of the home. Upon transferring the file we discovered that Keith contacted the sellers agent yet again the night I submitted the transfer request and informed her that my file was sent to GA Dream and got denied so I decided to switch lenders. Not only was this a complete lie but completely unprofessional and proper actions are being taken against this. I will never recommend this company to anyone interested in purchasing a home and will make sure that potential home buyers are aware of the companies bad practices.
Academy regrets that the borrower experienced disappointment through the loan process. The following is a response to the borrower’s itemized complaint:
First, we address the issue regarding the borrower’s employment. The borrower’s previous 2 years of employment were as a self-employed individual. Underwriting required more in depth information regarding the borrower’s current employment, more specifically the prospect of future employment, in order to approve or deny the loan request. Although the borrower felt this request was unnecessary, the prospect of future employment is a common and reasonable variable to consider.
Regarding the GA Dream product, Academy confirmed twice with GA Dream that, per the borrower’s paystub information, the income exceeded the GA Dream income limits for the property. Although the borrower and the other institution claimed the borrower’s income fell within the GA Dream program guidelines, Academy’s direct correspondence with GA Dream indicated to the contrary. Academy attempted to offer the loan to the borrower under an alternate program, which the borrower declined.
Regarding the communications with the seller’s agent, the seller’s agent contacted the loan officer to request a status update after the borrower had withdrawn the loan application. When the loan officer discovered that neither the borrower nor the borrower’s agent had informed the seller or seller’s agent regarding the withdrawal of the loan application, he did inform the seller’s agent that the borrower had withdrawn his loan from Academy Mortgage and gone elsewhere.

Academy is the reason we could get our Home! Ted M at Academy was able to work with us and structure our loan that worked for us. We have always chosen to work with people who took the time to get to know us and our plans for our home. Ted took the time to connect with us and our experiences and we felt he was just as happy for us getting our home as we were. We believe in doing business with people who help people, and Ted is one of those professionals.
We could not get anywhere close to the reception and education provided by Ted and the rest of the team at Academy with the larger lenders. This was our first home buying experience and even though it may not have been conventional, we feel like we have a better understanding of the normal and not so normal process, all thanks to Ted.
They also went out of their way to be available, day and night. That sounds cliche, but on some of the days after our work hours and trying to stay on track with purchasing a home, it was necessary to sometimes have a 10 p.m conference call and without fail, Ted delivered.
Thank you.
We appreciate this review! Thank you, ***!
This was one of the best experiences, and I know it was because of James and his team. Everything seemed so relaxed and stress free! I couldn't believe it.
Thank you ***!
