I appreciate the emails. It let me keep the debt in the front of my mind for when I could pay the bill, but didn't interrupt my day with excessive phone calls or mail that I would have just sat aside. You have a good business model. I wish all debt collectors operated in such a friendly way.

Today in my online banking, I saw a charge for $1. I have no idea who this company is, and I am about to report it fraudulent.

TrueAccord does not have a *** in our system and cannot locate the account where the $1 charge was applied. We take identity theft very seriously and would like the opportunity to reach out to *** so he can aid us in our investigation of this matter.
We encourage him to email us at *** or in response to this message, provide us a time and phone number where the legal department can reach him directly.

I received an email saying I owed this company money for a credit card I never applied for or ever owned from April 2004. The address that is on the account I didn't live at until 2-3yrs later. I didn't even live in the state I do now back in 2004.
I didn't own any credit cards in 2004
When I asked how I owe on a credit card I never had all I was told by trueaccord was that information wasn't available. In the email it state's it was turned over to some collection agency that no intention of coming after me or pursuing legal action against since the statute of collection being up
Now all of a sudden and out of the blue after 15yrs this company wants money out me that I do not owe or ever dealt with this company for a credit card

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

THIS COLLECTION AGENCY KNOWS THIS INVOICE IS FAKE FROM YELP. THAT IS WHY HE DOSE NOT WANT TO SPEND 50 CENTS ON the STAMP ,and he will send it by email

to harass the Business owner and he knows that other employers can open the emails , so he want to say pay me now ,because I will let other people work for you know that

you are not paying your bills.

this collection agency is violating our rights and Terrorising the bussiness OWNER by sending this emails

If everyone did collections this way, I would imagine a lot more debts would be settled. Nobody wants to talk to a collector with an attitude who relies on pressure and depends upon an immediate response for their commission to be paid. This method gives us time to breathe and have it all “in writing” to refer back to.

They make it extremely easy to set up payment plans online and either have your account auto drafted or pay online by yourself. Either way, it is extremely easy and convenient.

I appreciate this new way of handling back balances. Our other credit card simply sold us to some random bank without making any attempt to work it out. I appreciate that there were many options, and that you were low key and yet persistent. It wasn't the right time when you first emailed me, but eventually I got around to it. I also appreciate that there was no insulting or badgering messaging. It is difficult and humiliating enough just to not be able to pay. Many debt collectors assume that everyone who falls behind is a deadbeat. We are conscientious people who had a surprise baby and fell behind on everything.

They send you an email that automatically gets flagged as spam by gmail , then they want you to enter your credit card number into their website.. no way. Then if u click on their website and dont make a payment, they send you multiple emails over and over.

Customer service representative was very understanding and patience. I was a train wreck. I was so happy and grateful for the opportunity to settle my account so I can move forward. I have been in a financial hole I couldn't get out of and thanks to you we were able to settle my account! So grateful!!

I am the Director of Finance for ***. TrueAccord contacted us about a bill for services from Yelp. This service supposedly happened before I started this job. No one remembers doing advertising with Yelp and there is no documentation or indication that we ever did this business.

When I requested a bill, I was just given screen shots of a spreadsheet. There was no other documentation, no statement from Yelp, nothing. I went through their dispute process, and I told them that without a proper bill and/or statement from Yelp proving that the service was agreed upon, I was not going to pay it as there is no record in the company that this is a legitimate bill.

I have disputed this bill and they have said they will email back with verification, but they just came back with a request for payment. I have received no statement from this company on the bill, no proof from Yelp that they actually did this service. Nothing.

We appreciate the opportunity to address ***’s concerns on behalf of ***. TrueAccord does not own the account in question. On December 25, 2017, our client, Yelp placed the account in our office for collection. On December 29, 2017, we sent an initial communication explaining how to dispute the account. On March 14, 2019, we received a dispute from *** about the account and requested validation documentation from Yelp. On March 2, 2019, TrueAccord provided the account documentation. The documentation consisted of the following documents:
The Advertiser Purchase Information
This document contains the business name, business owner email, IP address used to sign up for the account, the time the program was purchased, the type of credit card used and last four digits, the billing address and the name of the cardholder who purchased the Yelp program (in this case ***). It also includes the details of the program purchased, the monthly cost and the start date of June 2, 2017.
Master Advertising Terms for Business Owners
This document is the terms of service that governs the program signed up for on June 2, 2017.
The Program Transaction Details
This document shows the monthly fee for the program signed up for, the fee period, and the balance owed which matches the amount of the past due balance placed with TrueAccord for collection services. These billing details are provided in a spreadsheet with a separate row for each month.
Click Rate Reports for July and August 2017
This document is a report showing the click rates for the two months of July and August reflecting that Yelp provided the services for the program purchased during these two months.
We understand that *** is concerned with the fact that some of the above documentation is in a spreadsheet format. However, it is a normal business practice to keep billing records in a spreadsheet. Having validated the account, TrueAccord resumed collection activity. If *** has additional questions about this matter, please contact us at ***.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

The format the bill was presented in is unacceptable. The utilities company sends me a bill as ONE DOCUMENT that includes all my charges. The phone company sends me a bill that includes all my charges AND the details of every phone call I made and received, in ONE DOCUMENT.

I have no record of this bill ever being received by my company. There is no record of Yelp ever requesting payment from my company. The format the bill is presented in is unprofessional. I understand that this might be the format the data is stored in, but to present it in four separate pieces is unacceptable. Per the policies of my company, I cannot accept this as a legitimate bill. Again, I have no record of the bill ever being incurred and no request from Yelp for a payment.

Present the bill in a format that allows me to verify the bill exists with Yelp and once verified, we will pay the bill. Even a Mom and Pop shop can give me a bill in a standard format, not in four pieces of screenshot.

Oh, and by the way, the name is spelled ***, not ***. I understand there can be errors in typing, Lord knows I've done enough of them, but not giving the proper attention to the spelling of my name in your response indicates you didn't even review your response. Not a way to earn your company any points for professionalism.

Sincerely

I have received several emails from this company {or a scam} stating I owe $1100 dollars and I have no idea what for. I owe no one anything. I asked what the bill was for but never got a reply. I assumed it was a scam until I got a second request. Whether they have me confused with another person or are running a scam I have no idea as they don't respond to my emails.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, ***

THANK you. That is more information than they gave me. I tried my best to find where the bill was from because

I think it is a scam of somd sort.

This company treats you with respect and are very easy to work with. Flexible payment options I could afford, allowed to pay off one of my debts and bring my credit score up over 100 pts in a year! I am very grateful and will be using them for future payments as well!
Sincerely,
***.

I received an e-mail claiming to be from a debt collection agency. When I called the number on the True Accord website, I was not able to get anyone on the other end of the phone to identify themselves. They would insist that I give them my first and last name and when I asked to speak with a supervisor they instantly would hang up. I was very suspicious about this being a scam and continued to call in the hopes of reaching someone with some degree of competence. Finally a man calling himself *** told me that my account had been returned to the borrower despite never having identified myself. I explained why this was suspicious and asked for that information in writing. They immediately hung up and have blocked my number. I don't know what True Accord is, but it certainly seems like some kind of financial scam.

Great job in helping to handle our own account on line made easy. Thanks

Great service, fast and secure!!

Agreed to 6 payment terms. First payment down and the customer service has been outstanding. They allowed me 4 weeks to being my payment plan and confirmed via phone again today that they can adjust the set monthly due date around my actual pay date if necessary. I feel very comfortable saying, they will work with you, if you work with them.

I received an email from this company dated 1/11/19 stating they are collecting on behalf of LVNV Funding LLC. I have never received or heard of LVNV. What are they collecting?

We are sorry to hear that *** filed a Revdex.com Complaint against TrueAccord. We treat all complaints seriously and conducted a full investigation. We appreciate the opportunity to address *** concerns.

LVNV Funding LLC, is now the owner of ***’s Walmart Credit Card account and has contracted TrueAccord to collect on this account on behalf of LVNV. As of 1/14/2019, we have paused collections on this account and have requested debt validation documents from the account owner.
If *** has additional questions about the account, he should feel free to reach out to *** or call ***.

Efficient, informative and no harassment. I definitely recommend this service.

I utilized this service to pay off my debt in monthly payments that used an electronic check. After paying my debt in full (with accompanying electronic confirmation), my banking information was compromised and a payment for the EXACT amount of my monthly payment was taken from my account via electronic check two weeks later (today 12/18/2018).

We were sorry to learn that *** filed a Revdex.com Complaint against TrueAccord. We treat all complaints seriously and conducted a full investigation. We appreciate the opportunity to address ***’s concerns. We apologize for the delay in response, with the holiday and New Year the investigation took longer than anticipated.

*** stated that her bank account had been breached and an unauthorized payment of $39.00 had been made on December 18, 2018. First, TrueAccord did not receive any payment from *** on December 18, 2018. The last payment we received from *** was on November 9, 2018 in the amount of thirty one dollars and fifty nine cents ($31.59).

Second, TrueAccord does not have ***’s bank information. TrueAccord does not know ***’s bank account number or routing number. We have never been provided this information.

TrueAccord implements best practices to keep the customer data that we receive confidential and secure. When *** entered into a recurring payment arrangement with TrueAccord she provided a credit card or debit card number. TrueAccord passed this number to our payment processing company to process the payment. The credit card number gets tokenized for security purposes. This way TrueAccord only sees the actual card number one time. The number is not stored on our system, instead a token is created. A token is a representation for the card that does not use the card information but is a different set of numbers. A token is used so that no one can see the actual card information. Only the token is stored on our system. The payment processing company knows that when it receives this token that it is to process a payment from ***’s card, but if some other entity got the token it would not be able to process a payment from ***’s card as the token masks the card number. The token is only meaningful to TrueAccord and our payment processing company.

The payment processing company implements best-practice standards of data security protocols as defined by the Payment Card Industry. We audit our payment processing company to make sure that they are implementing the best standards. The payment processing company does not store the credit card/debit information either. Similar to TrueAccord, the payment processing company only stores the token. As part of our investigation, we contacted the payment processing company. They confirmed that they do not have the bank account or routing number for ***. They have no other evidence of any security breach.

We hope that *** is working with her bank to investigate the unauthorized payment. The payment was not taken by TrueAccord or our payment processor. If the bank believes otherwise, please provide us with a bank statement showing that the December 18, 2018 payment was paid to TrueAccord.
If *** has further questions, or other information that she would like us to consider, she can contact us at ***. At this point, the information that we have reviewed did not indicate that any data breach occurred.
