I understand that I purchased the ticket through name your own price option,
but some type of...
compensation should be made to me because regardless of the
fact, I lost $250.00 because I only flew one way on a round trip ticket, and in
addition had to come out of pocket with an additional $621.00 for another

I am rejecting this response as it does not comply to the guarantees or features offered by the company.First priceline's customer service representative failed to honor their best purchase price guarantee when I noted avis was cheaper.http://www.priceline.com/landing/best-price-guarantee.htmSecondly Priceline failed to state that their 100% cancellation refund guarantee in a manner that was clear and correct. The following statement was placed next to the option for collission damage insurance."Cancellations with 100% refund will be permitted for Collision Damage Insurance up until your scheduled pick up time"This ambiguous phrasing listed next to the add on makes it easy to misunderstand this as a feature.Thirdly because of their general dismissal to not only myself but thousands of other unhappy Priceline customers (as evidenced on consumer reports) I prefer this issue remain unresolved if they refuse to refund.I appreciate Revdex.com not closing this issue.

We are writing to let you know that we received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices. As I understand, you wanted to cancel the reservation as you were unable to request seats for your flight and that there was no disclosure prior to purchase of the flight on having to pay...
fees other than baggage which was disclosed before purchasing. I have carefully reviewed your reservation and see that you have purchased one our highly restricted reservation where flight details are disclosed once reservation is confirmed. Once confirmed, reservation is non-changeable and non-refundable. While booking, we have disclosed in the checkout page under Booking Conditions that "Meal and seat preferences are not guaranteed", this is because not all airlines offer pre-reserved seating and some airlines offer pre-reserved seating only for a fee. Once flight is confirmed, we automatically send a message to the airline system to request for seats, however, if seats are not assigned, this means that you will be provided seats upon check in at the airline ticket counter. I have checked your reservation and see that seats are now assigned. You will be able to see the seat assigned by accessing [redacted] website or by clicking the link below. You will be asked to enter your first and last name and your confirmation number with [redacted] is [redacted]. The reservation you selected is a prepaid reservation. The rental car provider, [redacted] will only charge an additional fee for any optional items/upgrades that you choose to purchase upon pick-up. Optional items/upgrades are not mandatory and are at the discretion of the driver. Since the reservation was not used, we are unable to determine what optional items or upgrades were offered to you at the counter that may have resulted in an additional cost to your prepaid purchase.Please also note that the refundable deposit varies depending on the pick-up/drop-off location and type of vehicle rented. Consumers have the option to contact the rental car company prior to pick-up to determine specific policies.Although I appreciate you felt the review turn around to be lengthy; please know that we do our best to provide resolutions to all our customer concerns as soon as possible. We both made a rental car reservation in error for the same trip to [redacted], on the same day 12/1/14, when we should have made only one reservation; so we immediately contacted [redacted], Priceline, and [redacted], in an effort to cancel one of the reservations, as we both intended to use only one vehicle. When we go on vacation, we use one vehicle, so we are together; I do not drive in one vehicle and my wife drive in another. So from our perspective, it is a duplicate reservation. When we initially contacted Priceline on 12/1/14 to cancel this duplicate reservation, they did not say "it does not appear to be duplicate"; what the Rep told us, was that "we have to put our request in writing". So why are they "playing smart" now.The dates for both reservations was the same, but when were actually in [redacted], my wife extended the reservation that she made, as her vacation stay was for a longer duration, hence the reason why the reservation date was extended for the vehicle we both used.Priceline's record will show that I never picked up this rental vehicle, because we did at the Priceline Rep advised and requested the cancellation in writing, in good faith that, when I placed the cancellation request in wiring, they would honor it. We are petitioning Priceline to think of us the consumers, and issue a refund, as we immediately asked them to cancel this duplicate rental car reservation on 12/1/14.

When charging, the request was to identify if the dealer renting the car accepted the credit card. Our car rental was from September 23rd until September 30th. We contacted Priceline on September 17th and we were informed by Priceline in writing that our reservation was cancelled and therefore we booked with another service.The bank failed to dispute the charges and only informed us the week of November 3rd There was a timeframe when we did not get a response of charges being rendered after our need for the car rental. We had attempted to contact via email with Priceline and our messages were returned as spam. We also tried thru the [redacted] court services of [redacted] to give a letter of request to appear in conciliation court but the letter was returned as undeliverable The address was written as [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:My issue has not been resolved. It was an error on Priceline's part. Their website changed information unknowingly. All of my money needs to be refunded without me having to book another ticket with Priceline. Priceline is holding $1,200.00 of mine and that needs to be refunded back to my credit card.

I would like Priceline to issue my $50 discount and I would like acknowledgement of my request that they remove deceptive advertisements from their website.
