We understand you are requesting for a refund or a compensation due to the quality issues you encountered at the hotel during your stay. We reviewed your request and confirmed your reservation was used. The hotel informed us they were not aware of any quality issues you encountered during stay. The hotel advised they were not provided any opportunity to address your complaints and will not authorize any refunds/compensations. As a gesture of goodwill, a refund in the amount of 126.35 USD was issued on October 25, 2016. This amount is 20% of your total reservation cost as a compensation. matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support a more favorable
conclusion.
 Upon hotel
room check-in/out the hotel representative
provided the consumer with the lower negotiated room rate established between
priceline.com and the hotel, which is not available to the public. We apologize
that the property inadvertently provided this information to the guest and will
communicate this matter with the property.
 Priceline.com
is a travel agent and as such, makes hotel room rates available on behalf of
the hotels. Just like every other business, we receive reduced rates because we
sell in large volume, and if you compare our rates, you will find them to be
very competitive. We strive to offer customers the best alternatives for saving
money while at the same time maintaining profitability.
 I apologize
if the consumer is disappointed with the difference in rates; however,
Priceline will not be able to offer a refund for the difference in rates.

We are writing to let you know that we received your Better Business...

Bureau
concern in our Executive Offices. We understand that you needed a non-smoking
room for your stay; however, the hotel can only provide it on your 2nd night.
With Priceline, you can choose from a number of options depending on your
needs. You can select a specific hotel from a list of participating properties
with our Published Price hotel option or, if you'd rather save even more, you
can choose a restricted reservation where you select the area and star level,
but the hotel's name is not revealed until after the purchase.
When you choose a restricted reservation, you agree to stay in any
participating hotel that matches your requested star level and area selections.
However, for this type of bookings, you do not have an option to select a
specific room type. As stated on your contract, "Requests for bed types
(King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including preferences
for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed
hotel and cannot be guaranteed." When you submitted the request for
booking, you indicated that you read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions
of the reservation. We are sorry; however, your reservation, due to the
restrictions stated on your contract, cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded.
We sent a separate email that contains a copy of your contract page. This page
displays the terms and conditions that you reviewed prior to purchasing your
reservation.

in Canadian currency. Attached
hereto is a copy of the consumer’s contract page indicating:  Prices are in USD. Rooms purchased through Priceline cannot be
cancelled, changed or transferred and refunds are not allowed. As a goodwill
gesture Priceline made a one-time exception and issued a refund for the
difference in currency if the consumer had booked the reservation in Canadian
currency. Based on the exchange rates on the purchase date, we have come up to
a currency difference in the amount of $34.78, which has been refunded to the consumer. As noted on the contract page, the consumer’s selected reservation is non-refundable.

I am rejecting this response because I did not choose [redacted] as an area. I called to let know that I'm going to [redacted]. They swore I choose [redacted]. Computers and website have glitches and make mistakes just like people. Also, they are talking the terms and me accepting the terms. I was accepting a [redacted] room only. I would never take my kids to a Navel Base as a summer vacation. Their website didn't not clearly display their terms until AFTER they charged my debit card. I looked up that motel at the Navel Base and it has terrible reviews. I've also seen that motel years ago and it's disgusting. My son has [redacted] and that motel would be hazardous to his health. It's old and smells like mold and mildew in the rooms. Therefore, my family and I will NOT be staying their and I refuse to pay for serves I will not be using. I've already booked a [redacted] room through a website that doesn't use fraudulent tactics. Again, they are using their contract as the reason they will not cancel the room. However, my argument is that I didn't pick the Navel Base area. My search was for the [redacted] and they put me at the Navel Base and took $301.22 from me. I'm willing to get a lawyer and sue them because their website isn't flawless. That motel is horrible and too dangerous for my son to stay in with his [redacted] symptoms. We will not be staying there and I will never use that website in the future. I'm a government employee and I hold a Top Secert Clearence.I work hard to provide for my family and to pay for family vacations. It's not right for companies to just take your money even when you cannot use there services.

I am rejecting this response because:  I don't recall receiving an email regarding the complaint.   I apologize for not responding.   However, there was no resolution to my original complaint.   I believed Priceline was not honest.  I completed an entire form regarding the passenger and the information was deleted.  There is no way to make a reservation without filing out the passenger's information and I did.   How did my name appear as the passenger when I only used my payment information to pay for the ticket.  One of the required information is the passenger's date of birth.   I never gave mine.  I only provided the passenger's.  But the representative refused to look at the completed passenger information.  Had she done so she would see that I was clearly not the passenger.

She was asked to discuss your concern with her manager and the same information was provided. We apologize; however, we are truly unable to make any exceptions for you. When we find a travel partner willing to accept your request, we immediately book the reservation in order to secure your low rate. Our system calculates that you saved 21.80 USD or 10.00% off of the hotel's lowest published rate available at the time of booking. Our travel partner accepted the rate on the condition that your reservation would not be changed or cancelled. I know you expect a different answer; however, there are no other options that I can offer because of the restrictions. Sincerely,Executive Offices
