I am responding on behalf of our dealer located on [redacted] Drive in Bakersfield who is the owner and operator of the siteI have responded to Shell with this same information regarding this claimWe had received notification of this incident on 10/28/from ShellI responded after research, & communication with the owner's son AndrewHe had mentioned that Weights and Measures had been out to check the tankI have attached a copy for your reviewIt indicates the visual inspection as clear and two weeks had passed by with no notification from Weights and Measures regarding resultsIf there had been an issue, the tank would have been shut down immediatelyAndrew contacted Weights and Measures and they said everything was fine I have attached copies of the TLS readings and manifests of deliveries per your requestThere is no indication of water in the tank Our driver also stuck the tank with water detecting paste and came up with no reading of water There has been no recent repairs done on the tanks, permits and testing are all up to dateOur delivery tanks are drained of fuel multiple times a day so there is no potential for sediment to settle in the tanks and be transferredFor this to be solely the responsibility of the site in question, the guest would have to prove that they only get fuel at this siteAs you may or may not know, the reason for fuel filters is to filter out any sediment that could get into the vehicle's tank and fuel injectors which appears to have happened to this vehicleHas this guest been getting a lesser grade fuel over time and then going to a Shell and getting premium & cleaner fuel only to clean the gunk that has been accumulating over time? I also have to say that I think it is a disservice for dealerships to say bad gas is the culprit when they don't know how a customer may be caring for their vehicleIt's difficult to admit that this is the responsibility of the site when the tank's fuel has been tested, both with lab testing and visually with no adverse findingsThe octane was noted as good as wellThe owners use the premium fuel for their vehicles and is not experiencing issues I hope the information provided is sufficient and helps with this investigation

Gas GaugingI went to pump gas yesterday evening because I was running out of gas and it was the closest thing to where I work so it was an emergency I got to pump gas at the pump with my credit card and notice that it was already at $dollars and thought hey that seems like a lot of money since lately I had been filling up my Durango with about $at the most so I thought maybe something was wrong with the pump so I get out and manually stop it I look around to the sign that tells you how much it is for gas but there is no sign indicating the pricing of the gas so I look at receipt and noticed that it was price/gal so I just drove off and thought that seems high so as I'm driving home I'm noticing everywhere else it's in the price range from $on average for unleaded gas which is what I use Product_Or_Service: Gas
