Bank Of America decided to replace all the real tellers with ATM machines in the Atascocita, TX drive-thru, there are no longer a physical body manning the entire drive-thru. She was able to go online an deactivate the machine, this took every bit of two seconds. This is the second time I have had problems with these new machines. I noticed that the manager nor bank employees have a clue what's going on outside in the Automatic Teller Machine lines. I was also told that the branch doesn't service the ATMs!! Is this not their responsibility? I was told if I have future problems to call the number on the machine. I left upset at ** bank!!
Difficulty establishing online bill pay. The website will not allow verification of my pay-from account, possibly because I am setting it up from an overseas location. I therefore submitted the form and voided check as requested by mail. The bill is now due, and still I cannot set up bill pay.
The website referred me to a customer service phone number. The automated phone system demands an account number to let you continue, but the system cannot understand the number, whether entered through a keyboard or spoken clearly many times. It consistently reads back an incorrect number.
The website's interactive features are not working. May be a time zone problem? Either way, the obstacles to communication have cost me many hours of my time: And I am only trying to pay my bill!
The website has no email or written form to contact them.
I plan to cancel the account because I don't have time to deal with a company like this.

I have been dissatisfied with Bank of America for years but never mad enough to go to the trouble of firing them until now. I had property damage to a home I own of over $50,000. My insurance company paid promptly to me and BOA since they hold the mortgage. BOA deposited the check and has done everything the can to not pay me. Each call I make gets a different person, different rules, different forms and more delays. I was yelled at for going to a local branch for help. The Simi Valley incompentent tole me they knew nothing about the claims process and told me to stop payment on the check sent by the branch. They can only accept information by an unsecure fax process. Their inspector said the work was 85% done on the house but one of the Simis told me it had to be 100% I escalated that call and was told that was not correct and the reason for the delay was they did not have the contractor's w9. It has been sent multiple times. I was told the form was not readsble then the Simi read
Never recommend Bank of America for an auto loan. If you ever think you want to request a payment deferral, choose Wells Fargo or other.... All you need to do to discover the shady business practices of Bank of America is ask how their deferment or payment extension option is handle, they will explain that the option just randomly appears on accounts, with being able to explain when or how the option becomes available, and you cannot request what does not appear. It was really fun asking them to explain and listening to several of the call center employees repeat scripted responses that led nowhere with explaining how the option may become available for customer use. First 21 payments processed on time as expected and a 750 credit score means nothing to bofa.
I am a new Treasurer for our local organization and very disappointed with the quality of service provided for the business customers line at BA located between San Pablo Avenue and Mcdonald in Richmond CA. Firat there never was anyone available on the business window. I will be lucky to be assisted by someone on the serving the regular cistomers. There always a long line in this branch and one time there was only one teller. I stood on the business section forever and another lady counting money dont seem to care. Yesterday I was told that the business line closes at 4pm and cannot make a simple deposit before 5pm. I wish my union would change bank service.
I was a Bank of America customer for 23 years with Checking and Savings Accounts and a Visa Credit Card. I had a job change last year and, due to decreased income, I missed 3 payments on my card - making up all past due payments and paying all late charges at the end of the 3rd month. In response, Bank of America canceled my credit card which was devastating to my FICO because of the length of time I've had this card. They won't reinstate the credit account because they say, 'it's been closed too long'. BofA never informed me of the cancellation (I had to find out via a declined transaction) so I didn't have an opportunity to request a reinstatement within their timeframe.
Prior to this time, I never missed a single payment and was never late. This is no way to treat a 23 year customer. Any other credit card grantor or bank will treat you better.
Seen my tmobile payment processing a little early so I had money transfered into that account. Apparently it was a few hours too late because they took an over draft fee which is still making me overdraft. Even though it's still processing and my money is in there it started to process before the money was transfered. I then got told "you better find a way to fix the issue in 4 days now because after 5 days you'll get another fee". Rude much? I told her it was being recorded and she tried to be nice but obviously she couldn't help because her "living paycheck to paycheck " was more important. I also was informed I could bever transfered to claim but they won't help till the parent actually processes in my account. Either way I lose. Sorry for not being perfect or psychic to know it would come out but in the morning as soon as I seen processing it was put in there. Definitely looking to the papers for this one, with my recording! Thaks bank of America.
My BOA Visa card was declined at my local supermarket. The store was my usual, and the $154 was also not unusual. I was very embarrassed, and I had no idea why BOA did this. When I got home, there were two emails from BOA (for the two failed attempts at the store). I was told to go online and checjk trk the last twn or so transactions to see if they were legitimate. This, it was explained to me, was "for my protection." I found no problems, then indicated such, causing my card to be unblocked.
Besides trhe embarrassment, here was my problem: when my wife and I go on vacation tomorrow, we do not want to carry a lot of cash. Therefore, it was imperative I know WHY BOA blocked the card, sio I can have confidence it doesn't happen again, while we are far from home.
I called, emailed and went on their so-called chat line and no one could answer me. So, until I get a different card, I cannot be expected to use BOA's. It has gone from very embarrassing to very inconvenient.
I was promised a "no fees" account if I used ** debit card at least once a month for transactions. This was great while it lasted. Now, I'm told that Bank of America has decided to end this agreement, and I am being charged $12 a month in fees. This may not seem like a big deal to most people, but I believe in the importance of integrity. I was promised one thing, and Bank of America breached the agreement it made with **. When I called to complain about the agreement, I was told that Bank of America reserves the right to change its policies. So, apparently, only the customer is bound by the agreements entered into regarding Bank of America.
Tried calling our local branch for days and never get a live person or a call back. Call the National number and after holding for over 20 minutes,I get a rude person who only wants their questions answered. Out of frustration I refused to answer their questions and told them that, I am the one calling with a question, and needing an address and fax number so a vendor can get a credit reference on our account. They continue speaking over you and all the time not answering your question. The worst banking experience! Why do people continue to use them when they do not provide quality customer care?
I have banked with BOA for several years now and have been unhappy since, especially with the mobile app which I use on a DAILY basis, and yee I still don't understand it. Why do I stay with them? Good question, that is why I am writing a review and closing ** account. You see, BOA has mastered the art of overdraft fees. The way they do it is legal and here is how; As you have charges being processed from your account, which on the mobile app states it is available and included in your balance, they process the largest payment first, that way when you have these small transactions they can process them at a later time in order to charge you multiple Overdraft fees versuses only charging you one overdraft fee for one large transaction. I know there are many out there who overdraft, it happens. I spoke with a representative over the phone -because I do not have the time to walk into a brach and complain, I am in school on top of working a full-time job and being a mother of 2 kids- she explained to ** that its based on when the other institution processes the money. But when ** account is over drafted by -$7.95 and that same day I do a cash deposit of + $150 to cover the funds so that I am not charged, and come to find out it took 2 days for the BANK to process a cash deposit?! Therefore allowing ** account to stay over drafted and acquire a $35 Overdraft fee. Both ** husband and I will be closing our accounts. It amazes ** how a corporation can find so many loop holes in which to manipulate the consumer. Honesty is not how this bank works. And the part that amazes ** the most is that they know it too, and continue to deceive the consumer. Sad to say I wasted many years and A LOT of money with BANK OF AMERICA. More like BANK OF THEIVES.
I have been a long time customer of Bank of America. Over 15 years. We recently noticed a fraudulent charge in our checking account. Called the bank. The immediately opened a new checking account, gave us our 80.00 back and said they would leave the old account open for 30 because we had PENDING credit card payments.
I worked extremely hard at getting our credit to the point where we have great credit cards with fantastic limits. A total of 235K. And I can assure anyone I would fight to keep it that way! We have charged some new furniture for our home and make 7k/8k payments a month on these cards. We have a great relationship with them and are always getting credit limit increases.
Well, would you know that Bank of America decides to close our old checking account down after 2 DAYS!!! So you know what happened. 7 credit card payments were returned and we're not talking small potatoes. We called them and they said that Bank of America would have to write the letter with their letter head and their envelope. I went into the bank and ask them to do this. I received plain old letters addressed to no one with just the last 4 digits of ** cc number on these. Junk letters and was told to mail these myself!
I did of course. And not a single credit card company has left a message and said that they would refund our 25.00 return fee or that the letter was satisfactory! I also made sure I had delivery confirmation on these letters so I know they got them.
I don't even care about the 25.00 fees or the darn 80.00 fraudulent charge.
If I'd of know that Bank of America would have lied to us and closed our old account down, I would have opened a new one with CHASE and edited ** autopay info on all of ** cc's and kept ** old checking account with bank of america open for a month just to be sure.
What kind of a bank would ruin your credit like this? I now have a horrible relationship wiith Comenity Capital, Comenity Bank, Capital One Bank and AMEX!!!!!! Overstock actually closed ** account! I had a 17k credit limit with these people and now I am just garbage because of bank of america.
I don't think they have the right to ruin your credit and get away with it. Going higher up and then to an attorney for help!
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
The worst bank ever I've been saying it for years but decided to give them a try to change my view of them!! I will never in life recommend them to anyone and will be telling ppl I know to close their account before they get screwed like I did.
I would like to start by saying that the service Bank of America provides is terrible and very incompetent. Today I tried to buy from Walmart $79 and my debit card was blocked. I called the customer service and terrible service again. I had to wait a lot on hold after another 10 min with a lame recorder, trying to figure out how to get a person to talk to me. After a while my phone call was transferred to someone, her name is Leslie, and she unblocked my card. So I tried to purchase again, and the card was blocked again. I dont understand how can they block a card for a small amount of $79. the card has plenty of money, and yet I cannot access my own money because they block the card. How can this bank provide such a terrible low service. I tried calling back, I never got an answer. they had some recorder saying to call next day. You can imagine how angry I am. I couldn't buy my stuff and take advantage of the 4th of July Sales because this Bank of America has the worst and most lame service. the worst debit card services, and the worst Customer Services. I cannot recommend this bank. Probably I'm gonna close my account and move to CHASE, a lot of friends say its way better than BoA. so I will be looking into that. It is not fair the low quality service Bank of America provides to the "preferred customer". They should be ashamed!!!. I have no debit card right now. no access to my money so I cannot buy anything on 4th of July. This Bank has to be the worst!. AVOID this bank. AVOID!!!!
Bank of America is only worried about there fees and not their customers. They lie to their customers and charge fees for no reason. They also don't keep up to date notes on your account.
I had a cashiers check give to me that was unfortunately a fake and bank of America closed my account until I paid the check back which was fine. They kept my savings open and promised I could open a new checking once it was paid. So I recently paid everything off and opened a new account only to find out a couple days late Bank of American closed my savings, the new account and is holding all my funds and its been a week.
