I had a checking and savings account with Bank of AmericaIn order to have no fees charged on my savings account, I had a recurring $transfer from my checking to my savings account per their termsAbout every 2-months I would be charged the $monthly maintenance fee even though I had met the requirement to not get charged this feeI would have to call in to the customer service line each time to get the fees reversed, which has happened over timesI then went on vacation and get an overdraft on my checking account and found out I was not enrolled in the overdraft protectionI called in to customer service to get the $overdraft fee reversed since I had more than enough to cover the amount in my savings account, and they said that they could not get the fee waivedIt seems like when Bank of America makes over mistakes it's ok, but when a customer makes a mistake, it's not okI have since closed my accounts with Bank of America and will be moving my money to a bank that appreciates my businessI would have stayed with them had they just waived the fee
I would like to start by saying that the service Bank of America provides is terrible and very incompetentToday I tried to buy from Walmart $and my debit card was blockedI called the customer service and terrible service again I had to wait a lot on hold after another min with a lame recorder, trying to figure out how to get a person to talk to me After a while my phone call was transferred to someone, her name is Leslie, and she unblocked my cardSo I tried to purchase again, and the card was blocked againI dont understand how can they block a card for a small amount of $the card has plenty of money, and yet I cannot access my own money because they block the cardHow can this bank provide such a terrible low service I tried calling back, I never got an answerthey had some recorder saying to call next dayYou can imagine how angry I am I couldn't buy my stuff and take advantage of the 4th of July Sales because this Bank of America has the worst and most lame servicethe worst debit card services, and the worst Customer ServicesI cannot recommend this bank Probably I'm gonna close my account and move to CHASE, a lot of friends say its way better than BoA so I will be looking into that It is not fair the low quality service Bank of America provides to the "preferred customer" They should be ashamed!!!I have no debit card right nowno access to my money so I cannot buy anything on 4th of JulyThis Bank has to be the worst!AVOID this bankAVOID!!!!

I have been a long time customer of Bank of America Over years We recently noticed a fraudulent charge in our checking account Called the bank The immediately opened a new checking account, gave us our back and said they would leave the old account open for because we had PENDING credit card payments I worked extremely hard at getting our credit to the point where we have great credit cards with fantastic limits A total of 235K And I can assure anyone I would fight to keep it that way! We have charged some new furniture for our home and make 7k/8k payments a month on these cards We have a great relationship with them and are always getting credit limit increases Well, would you know that Bank of America decides to close our old checking account down after DAYS!!! So you know what happened credit card payments were returned and we're not talking small potatoes We called them and they said that Bank of America would have to write the letter with their letter head and their envelope I went into the bank and ask them to do this I received plain old letters addressed to no one with just the last digits of [redacted] cc number on these Junk letters and was told to mail these myself! I did of course And not a single credit card company has left a message and said that they would refund our return fee or that the letter was satisfactory! I also made sure I had delivery confirmation on these letters so I know they got them I don't even care about the fees or the darn fraudulent charge If I'd of know that Bank of America would have lied to us and closed our old account down, I would have opened a new one with CHASE and edited [redacted] autopay info on all of [redacted] cc's and kept [redacted] old checking account with bank of america open for a month just to be sure What kind of a bank would ruin your credit like this? I now have a horrible relationship wiith Comenity Capital, Comenity Bank, Capital One Bank and AMEX!!!!!! Overstock actually closed [redacted] account! I had a 17k credit limit with these people and now I am just garbage because of bank of america I don't think they have the right to ruin your credit and get away with it Going higher up and then to an attorney for help! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I've been a bank of america customer for at least 10years, I got charged $for being minutes late to deposit money because their fancy new A.T.** froze up while I was logged into it and had to drive to another one to deposit the moneyCalled and they will not refund the money, and they won't close ** account is that even legal? Hi,
I am a bank of america customerI have an account in Bank of America Financial Center, Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA I went to this same branch for getting forms to notarize at time am on 20th September These are Jvisa waiver forms issued from Indian Consulate, AtlantaI told the person at the desk that I hold an account in the same placeThe person standing at the front desk asked me to show the forms, and told that the place where the notary signature and seal are placed does not have a box around itSo he can not notarize these formsThere is nothing he can do about itI went to the wells fargo, close to midtown marta stationThey notarized all my forms (there were eight forms) for freeThis is extremely bad from bank of americaI have set lot of autopay accounts with this account That is the only reason for not closing my account todayAlso, my wife holds an account at the same placeWe both will be closing our accounts as soon as possible because of this incident
I'm not satisfied with this bank accountConstantly over draft peopleDo Not give you a chance to put the amount in before over draftingDo Not inform you about a change in your account
In calling Bank of America Fraud department, I got *** *** from Tennessee Fraud Dept on the lineShe was the WORSTAsked to speak to the manager, she puts ** on hold for over min then comes back to ask ** one more verification question then says ok Im going to go find a manager nowI asked her what she had ** on hold this whole time for and she was like oh I had one more verification question?!?!?!?!? then preceeds to put ** on hold AGAINShe was disrespectful and sassy
Been a B/A customer over yearsHorrible experience todayATM (Myrtle Beach SC) took the check, but did not accept the depositClerk in the lobby played with her terminal, then gave me a phone number to call (anything to get rid of a problem)The number was the main phone numberHad to navigate the auto system, then explain the problem - againClerk then had to check with another departmentShe returned and said to "wait until tomorrow - then call back if it doesn't fix itself)
No concept of calling a customer back
The phone clerk had the worst verbal skills imaginableNo concept of construction a thought or a simple sentence - just kept talking until she ran out of things to repeat
B/A has few competitive products anymore, and I will never increase my dealing with this company beyond the basic checking account
Current my hold time to talk to a customer service agent is about 45:and im tired of waitingthis is the worse and longest wait I ever hadThank you bank of America
Bank of America Home Loans, you sold my never-a-day-late-in-over-12-years mortgage (AND, I'm a "Platinum Privileges" customer with B of A) to SLS late December SLS is not accredited by the Revdex.com and with luck will be shut down by the CFPB, with whom I've lodged a complaintBank of America, WE, the people, are your customersYOU should ensure you treat us fairly by only doing business yourselves with Revdex.com-accredited companiesClearly at SLS, WE, the people are not "the customers" - YOU, the big bank that feeds them OUR loans, are the ones they courtIt's despicable that in the wake of the housing and total economy meltdown years ago that WE, the people, are still being preyed upon by fraudsters like SLS
Clean up your act and get some integrity
I would like to file a complinte against this company bank of America is saying I used my credit card I don't have anything to do with it they say last time I sign in decmber and usded the credit card on decmber
Three calls in to dispute a transaction, each representative told ** they had to submit claim as if the claim was never filed by previous repStill waiting on credit on account and not showing any claim filed as rep told ** I could check status online
Awful banking practices and the absolute worst, most agressive CSR reps I have ever come into contact with I've had an 'online only' bank account with them for years, but now that I've had to experience their customer service staff *** and *** I'll be closing my account ASAP
I'd offer the transcript of the inept CSR experience I had to BoA corporate or ** local branch, but it's pretty obvious they've gone the way of *** and simply don't give a hoot
Bank of America has terrible customer service In this particular instance, BOA changed their terms of agreement about having credit balances on credit cards at the first of the year, with no notification to meAs an upcoming student, my permanent address is different than my local address (students tend to move quite often for rotations, and historically BOA has done of terrible job of updating my address and sending my information to the out-dated address, so to avoid this confusion again, I keep my permanent address as my parent's address in GA) I'm only allowed to pay school fees with my credit card, in this instance it took a while for my school to process the payment, and I had already transferred the money to my credit card account to maintain a balance, so the balance was negative Because the balance was negative for days (a new term of agreement), bank of america cashed the money out (>$2K), and sent a check to my parents home (my permanent address), with NO warning or anything My parents are out of the country for the next days and now I have a positive balance on my credit card that I can't pay until I receive the check This all could have been avoided by 1) an USPS letter or email explaining that balances are no longer allowed on credit cards for more than XX days 2) an email or text alert letting me know that my balance would be sent to my permanent address vis USPS I am really upset by all of this nonsense and this isn't the first time BOA has done whatever they want only to have the customer suffer In addition, both the rep who answered the initial call, and Desire the supervising manager were rude, tried to talk over me, and were completely unapologetic and unprofessional I am not interested in moving my checkings, savings, and credit card accounts to a different bank that will not be so much of a headache as BOA has been for the past years
I am a brand new customer at BoA and have only ever heard good things from my peers about their experiencesIt seemed like a good choice for simple, no-hassle checking and savings accounts, so I opened their most basic offerings in both categoriesSince I switched banks so recently, my direct deposit from my employer had not yet processed fully and I was given a paper check insteadI used BoA's mobile banking option to make my first deposit on a Friday, and it ended up being a huge fiasco
Without any warning or asterisk or small print about new customers in mobile banking, they placed a week-long hold on my entire account balance, due to my new customer status and their lack of established relationship with meI thought, "Okay, that's irritating, but no big deal, I'll go into a branch and get it worked out." The manager present told me to call an online banking representative, which I did, and when I asked if there was a way either to cancel the transaction or lift the hold earlier than originally indicated, the operator responded "Good question! Maybe try depositing the physical check at an ATM or with a branch teller and see if it overrides the mobile deposit?" which I subsequently attempted and was denied because it was a duplicate deposit
At this point I was in tears, because like most year olds, I needed this paycheck to pay my bills in the next weekThe manager called me into her office and called customer service again, went through the same rigamarole, and then offered to try the same thing again and see if she could override the system's denial of my checkI said, "That sounds great! Thanks." She left the office, tried again, and was unable to work it out
At this point, she came back and said "My only option is to try and lift the hold next weekI have nothing to offer you right now, I'm very sorry." I asked her to provide me with either the contact information for her superior, or for someone higher up in tech support, because there's no way a company has the ability to put a hold on funds and a complete lack of ability to lift that hold when presented with the physical check, government-issued ID, account information and transaction information from the held fundsShe said "Sorry, here's my phone number, I'll try to resolve it on Monday."
I told her I would like to file a complaint with the powers that be, that I needed her call with access to my money first thing Monday morning, and I stood up and leftminutes later, she calls me back saying that she made a call to someone in a different department, they "verified my check," whatever that means, and that my full paycheck would be accessible to me the next morning
I understand banking snagsI understand that things do not always go smoothly when handling people's money, and sometimes inconveniences have to be dealt withHowever, to turn away a new customer after their first transaction when it is being expressed in clear terms that this will cause financial hardship, and to claim that there is not a single person within the company with the authority to help, and that you will get around to it when you get around to it, is unacceptableI am certain the only reason it got resolved after I left is because I threatened as I was leaving to go higher up with a complaintI am so disappointed with the service that I received and am considering looking for another institution to bank with, but I'm hoping my experience in the next few weeks is redemptive so I can avoid the hassle of closing accounts and finding another bank
Bank of America is the worst bank to ever useTheir fees are outrageousThey charge you pointless fees every single chance they getWithin hours I was charged twice for a $overdraftI paid BOA $for a simple mistake that I rectified almost immediatelyThey are not willing to work with or respect their customersIt is very apparent that BOA is only interested in making a quick dollar, NOT making sure their customers are satisfied with the service receivedTo everyone reading this: STAY AWAY FROM BANK OF AMERICA AT ALL COSTS
