I have been with B of A for almost years, but will be closing my account this weekNot only has my card been somehow swiped and used fraudulently times in the past year (my husband uses his Chase card at ALL of the same sites, never had this happen a single time in years), but now the fraud department is only open for limited hours Monday through FridaySo if your card is hacked on the weekend, you're ***And when they are "open"...good luckmins on hold and still no one on the phone, minutes waiting for a chat window to be told by "Nichole" that she was an account supervisor, so she refused to connect me with someone else when I was tired of her lack of assistance and attitude...and at the end, she did NOTHING for meNow it takes hours to reverse fraudulent charges...once they are open...so that's hours to wait for them to open, then more days to get the money put back...one of their BIG selling points used to be 24/service and in all of my prior incidents with fraud the charges were reversed immediately, WHILE they were on the phone taking the initial callNot anymoreThey just don't care one iotaSo after almost years, I am closing my account thereI had to ask someone THREE times in the course of one chat what my options were to do thatI have no idea what happened here, likely greed and stupidity, but this isn't the bank it used to be
I stopped in Bank of America in casa Grande Arizona and I was very impressed with the customer care, the time spent explaining everything was handled in the up most professional manner, by far this is the best banking experience I have come across! Thank you Bank of America in Casa Grande, Az
Charge me Two time for over daft fee for one transaction want to bank wait for a hour they couldn't do anything call twice just give me they loop around transfer hell this the worst bank ever closing my account this week just let you know boa I was going buy a other house guess who lose the Business going to chase
this bank is the most disorganized, fraudulent institution in the world they placed a hold on my funds for no reasons other than to gain interest, hold time is always over minutes, HORRIBLE
If you are considering working with BoA on mortgage refinancing, please consider the following
I recently contacted BoA in the hopes of refinancing a rental condominium The mortgage representative was initially friendly and appeared to understand the refinance process The process began with a few simple questions and quickly turned into a complicated mess of providing required documents (understandably) through a horribly convoluted process working with many different people I provided all the requested documentation, then BoA requested an appraisal The appraisal was a $cost, which I understood believing the loan was in the clear All seemed to be manageable until BoA requested a condo information sheet My association has flavors, which is free of charge and another that is $ BoA informed me the 'custom' version ($180) was required I questioned this and got no real reason other than 'it's requested by underwriting' So being that I was already vested by way of the $appraisal, I went ahead and ordered the document weeks later I was informed by BoA that the loan would be denied due to a 'too low occupancy rate'
Now I agree this is a valid reason to deny a refinance I take objection to the fact that I was required to purchase an appraisal as well as a custom condo information sheet when this information was available up front and at NO cost I received a letter from BoA with literally one line 'COLLATERAL : CONDOMINIUM / COOPERATIVE PROJECT DOES NOT MEET BANK GUIDELINE' And that was it!
It's clear that BoA is very mechanical and has interest for the person on the other end of the loan Also, the refinance staff is far from competent Be sure if you decide to use BoA for refinance, you know what you're getting into Be sure you understand refinancing, and don't assume that BoA has your interest in mind
I recently opened a Visa account with Bank of AmericaAwful customer service experience so farYesterday I spent over an hour trying to get someone to help me PAY MY BALANCE online Several times I was DISCONNECTED by the Customer Service personAsked for a Supervisor several timesagain DISCONNECTEDTried calling a Customer Relations Specialist at 714-792-( telephone # on their website), number is DISCONNECTEDAlso no luck calling corporate at 704-386-No way to communicate that I found Perhaps you folks have an email address to file a complaint
Thank you
Terrible buisness do not use themI had charges on ** debit card that were not from myself, called the number at approximately pm to be on hold for an hour with no one picking upGo into a branch the following morning seeking help only to get a post it note with the number written on it and told they can not help ** at that branch at the timeI go to another branch tell them what's going on with ** account and what happened at the previous branch they get a personal banker to helpShe cancels ** debit card prints up ** transactions for the last month and calls their fraud departmentI'm on hold at the bank calling from the bank's phone for minutes finally speak to someone and she tells ** there's nothing she can do because one charge is processing and not complete and the other was an adjustment from the bankI tell her to cancel the transaction that's processing because it's not ** (the charge is in Indiana while I live in nevada) and the other charge I want to dispute because it's at a place I have not been into in over a yearI'm told the buisness that the charge is from filed a claim to the bank that they didn't get money from a debit transaction 1/weeks ago and the bank approved it with out contacting ** I'm then told maybe I should go into a branch and have them investigateI'm on speaker phone the entire time in a personal bankers office and when I tell the lady with the fraud department this she just says "oh, well I'm sorry there is nothing I can do at this timeI can not file a claim because the bank approved the transaction and the other charge is still processing" I ask again for her to cancel the transaction, she says she cannot do it and asks if there's anything else she can help with and our conversation concludes Absolutely terrible customer service will be closing out accounts with them and would not recommend them to anyone
Today I closed both of my low interest Bank of America credit cards I have been a loyal B of A credit account holder for over years with an excellent payment record My wife lost her job, and although we acquired a high balance on each card, we maintained an excellent payment record We recently sold a rental property we had, and from those proceeds we paid off all of our credit card debt, which included both the B of A cards leaving a $balance on each card In the next month's statement, Bank of America charged interest on the entire PRIOR outstanding balance even though both cards had been paid in full When I telephoned, they refused to reverse ANY of the fee, and told me that what they did was within their legal right to do so So much for customer service! So even though it will ding my overall credit score, I cancelled both cards and have no intention of ever doing business with Bank of America again
This review is for anyone thinking of opening a credit card from Bank of America
I had a very large amount of debt with different credit cards open and several of them maxedI began using a credit counseling program designed to pay off all of my debt while working with the credit agencies to lower interest rates and closing all accountsEvery card company I had (even the lowest at 10%), lowered my interest rate except for my BOA cardsWe all know how dangerous credit cards can be, but it was nice to know that several of them would help out their customers in this wayUnfortunately my home loan is with BOA as wellI can only hope I never default, as I don't think they'd be understandingI'll never again open any line of credit with BOA, and would not recommend them to you
Although I do millions of dollars of personal and business account transactions with Bank of America, it had better be kept in relatively small amounts because whenever I have a larger than usual deposit, it's held up for a week for no reason other than it's an arbitrary policy of the bank to do this Why should it take so many days for a check drawn on a local bank to clear? This arbitrary policy is in effect my loaning BOA several hundred thousand dollars interest fee This policy is arbitrary, unfair and unappreciated by a loyal customer over many yearsThe only explanation I can get for this is that the deposit was unusually large, which is ridiculous in this age of rapid transactions
So being a customer of Bank of America for almost years really doesn't parks anymoreI'm a preferred rewards member and now I have been taking away my small safe deposit box because they feel it is no longer a benefit to customersIt sounds to me that Bank of America doesn't ever talk to their customers about what constitutes a benefitSeems to me that it's just something that they can change and decide to charge for that the bank can make even more money off of the people it doesn't care aboutSo I advise anybody if they're starting a new relationship with the bank do not make it Bank of America EVERBecause they do not care
On numerous occasions I have to call Bank of America customer service number X-XXX-XXX-XXXX to speak to a Representative I am on hold for 30mins to close to an hour depending on the time of dayI finally get the opportunity to talk to a Rep and before the conversation gets past the complaint, all of sudden the call is disconnectedDo you think one of the Reps from BOA calls ** back when this happens?? Nope! I've tried to resolve banking issues with them and have not been able to do soChecks are being processed on the same day I write another facility the check and electronically BOA claims to have received the check same day within a couple of hours in order to charge ** account a $NSF fee I've had this type of incident to take place at least 3x's or more Very upsetting because I don't have free money to give away I am sure that I am not the only consumer who has experienced this or complained I've signed up for alerts to ** phone and email and when I get a overdrawn notice which mysteriously goes to ** email address, its dated the following day in the afternoon to let ** know that a return item and fee has hit ** account even if I have a Direct Deposit that posts on the same day? The notice is sent to ** not by phone alerts so if I am notified in time, I could at least make a deposit before having occurred fees - from BOA and the other from the InstitutionI have been a customer since LaSalle Bank and now I feel like I've wasted money staying Loyal to a Bank who isn't worthy of ** being a long time customer
recently a bank of america atm ***stole*** my hard-earned cash money, and the money hasn't been returned in several weeks, despite several hours of followupthey're pretending it's a technical glitch with the machine, but come on guys, a bank is supposed to keep your money safe, not steal it!
sure, it was only $60, but banks shouldn't steal from their customersi've already put way too much time into this issue trying to resolve itit's not even worth the cash value of my time at this point to pursue the matter further
to make matters worse, the only reason why I couldn't file an official complaint is that bank of america has covered their tracks with the Revdex.com, with a headquarters in north carolina and no way to pinpoint the offending location
nice job, big banksteal working class money and find a loophole to avoid responsibilityi suppose that's squarely within your wheel house
please, give me my money backand stop stealing people's money!

I am a college student, and I started with Bank of AmericaThey charged lots of hidden fees, then changed my free checking to $12/month without letting me knowWhen I pointed out their mistake, months later when I finally found out, they said, "Oh, yeah, that was our mistake," but then flat out refused to refund my moneyFor THEIR mistakeSo I excused myself, went home, and came back three hours laterNo smile on my face this timeI immediately demanded to speak to the manager, and he came in, the same man I had dealt with earlierI pointed out their mistake, to which YET AGAIN agreed that it was, indeed, theirs, and then pointed out exactly why I thought it was unfair that they were stealing my moneyWhich is exactly what they were doingThey were STEALING my money, trying to make me pay for their mistakeThe man finally sighed and shook his head, then logged on to his computed and, grumbling all the while, refunded my moneyAfter telling me that it was impossible earlier! The thieving branch just wanted to keep my money, so they LIED to me about something that was very, very possible for them to do! I thanked him, still unsmiling, and sweetly told him that I was closing my accounts with the bankThen he had the audacity to ask me WHY I had decided not to bank with them anymoreI laughed in his face, took my money, including the $they had tried to take from me, and left with my head held highI took my business to USAA and have been completely satisfied sinceI hope Bank of America runs themselves into the groundThey are a bunch of thieves, cheats, and liars who have no regard for their customers, only for their dirty moneyI have warned my family, neighbors, friends, and anyone else who will listen to not bank with these peopleI suggest anyone who is currently with them take their business elsewhere!
I would like to file a complaint against Bank of America Headquarters We were preapproved for a loan, rushed by BOA to make a closing date so paid $to BOA for our credit report and appraisal fee, $due diligence fee and $for an inspection on the house After all of this, we were informed that we were not approved We complained enough so received $back from Bank of America So after it all we are out of close to a grand and still don't have a home
I am somewhat okay with the money we lost on the inspector since he was an honest man doing an honest days work I am somewhat okay with the due diligence money lost I am, however, not in the least okay with the money lost to Bank of America being that they were the ones at fault for giving us the preapproval They had ALL of our financial records, so the credit report would have done nothing but confirm what they already knew If it the underwriters that are ultimately the decision makers, why would you put the preapproval job duties in the hands of the mortgage loan officer?
Is this how BOA makes extra cash? We are very disappointed with BOA We have been loyal customers to Bank of America since and have a rental property in SC that we mortgage through you We are seriously weighing our options to refinance with another company
Horrible bank would NOT recommend this bank to anyonesecond time I've been with them and they've screwed me againdeposited check with availability the next day they put a hold on the account so they are going to hit me with overdraft fees now
I have had a business account with this bank for years GO ANY WHERE ELSE if you need a Bank Bad customer service and fees for everything
