Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We did reach out to the customer numerous times but we have not heard back. The customer mat reach out to mr [redacted] at ###-###-####
I am rejecting this response because:The half was only told you because we didn't want to bother you with further details that would muddy the waters of getting our money. Last July when it was over 90 degrees every day, our air conditioner went out and we called them to fix it. They sent a repair man who said it needed a new electronic box and another part. They found out that it was under warranty so they said they didn't have to take care of it. The labor to get it fixed was over 800 dollars and they said that they were not responsible for the labor. We have had two other home warranty companies in the past who have covered everything after you pay the initial fee for the repair person to come and analyze the problem. That was strike ONE. Strike TWO was the fact they said we would be reimbursed in 30 days and the check wasn't even sent until the 16th! That's a week after we should have had it in our possession! It still hasn't arrived either at our home or my daughters home. We lived there until we purchased our home here in [redacted] The invoice that they sent us to sign and send back to them for the refund check had the current address and all the other correspondence had our new address as well. When we bought the policy we didn't even have possession of our home yet so that's why we used her address to buy the policy. Strike THREE is the fact now that we have to wait until the 5th of Feb. until we can request a new check. Now they are saying we have to wait 20 days total which would be Feb. 10th even though the postal system works six days a week, they say it is their business days that count. By the way, I can send something to the west coast and it arrives in three days! So instead of the 30 days which they promised it could be 90 days! This is unacceptable in any business culture. There isn't a business anywhere that would tolerate being paid for service rendered in 90 days! They would be out of business! At the same time they have been calling daily and emailing wanting us to renew their services.
Regards,
Steven Powlison

We did receive a full diagnosis of the ac unit. The unit had a Freon leak which is the cause the of the breakdown. Freon issues are not covered under the terms of the policy. Please see section 6.3.6 "This Agreement does NOT cover window, wall or zone systems or portable air conditioning units....

I am requesting to have the complaint listed below re-opened. The company still has not held up their end of the contract in resolving the issue below. We had to replace the disposal ourselves and requested a cancellation of the contract. The contract clearly states if there has been no sevice proviced Select Home Warranty will refund a prorated amount upon cancellation. Our contract was for 36 months with 3mos free, we paid 949.99 and was in effect for 9 months. If you take 949.99/36 times 27, I would have anticipated our refund to be $712.49. The company sent us a check for $178.00 dated 11/14/14. I have called and have recorded every call five times disputing the amount, each time the employee confirms the amount appears to be wrong and say they will review and get back to us. Never has Select Home Warrenty contacted us and we have never received any additional funds. We have not cashed the check received on 11/14/14. Today I called again and the representative was very rude and said they want a receipt showing our disposal was fixed. I don't know why they want this information but I can send it to them. My dispute is for the amount of the refund - my calculations shows the company still owes us $534.00.
THe cusotmer has already requested to cancel and they were not forced to purchase the pool coverage.
We spoke with the customer. We have approved $185 reimbursement for her claim.
The customer has already been informed that their plumbing claim has been denied as it is a non covered issue since it is outside the living area per section 3 of their signed agreement. No additional funds due at this time.
The customers claim was denied as they had a plumbing issue outside of the home which is not covered under their agreement. If the customer wishes to cancel their policy it will be per section 13.2 as full refunds are issued within the first 30 days of purchase. The customer purchased their warranty...

The customer has already been approved for the policy cap of $150. Please sees section 9.1.2 "Select reserves the right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures, without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on any system/appliance is up to $150.00"We...
already spoke tot he customer and we have upped the reimbursement to $250. This is $100 over the policy limit. We have above the policy terms for the customer.
This information is not correct , as part of the terms without 3 years prior maintenance there is a $150 policy limit on ac claims. Select cannot be responsible for issues that arise from lack of maintenance.
