Select Home Warranty has been in contact with the customer and they have requested to cancel their policies as of 2/16/2015, we are currently processing that request.
We spoke to the customer and processed a full refund back to the credit card. The customer was satisfied with this result

The day after I submitted the complaint I was assigned a technician which came out the same day I was contacted. The technician looked at the dryer for approximately five minutes, collected the service fee, and then stated that a part needed to ordered for the dryer and permission was needed from Select Home Warranty company. The technician said that I would be contacted in a few days, which was not. I spent a lot of money on that home warranty which is coming up on expiration and that was the first time it was being used. I also lost my money to the technician. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. G[redacted] called me for the first time yesterday. I have left Mr. G[redacted] a couple of...
messages responding to his calls. He has called during my work day and I have responded as soon as I have been able to. The messages that he has left me, say that he is in the office till 7:00 p.m. I called multiple times today, only get a voicemail that states that I can not leave a message because his mailbox is full. I will continue to try and call him again tomorrow.

I am rejecting this response because: After sitting 10 days on the issue, they are telling me that they cannot fix the issue because repair cost is high and I have to get the issue fixed on my own and once I get the issue fixed then they can reimburse me only 125/- remaining I have to bear. I have bough home warranty 7 months back and they charged all the amount in advance, in addition to that they charged me $120/- for technician visit for two complaints. We buy home warranty in case if there is issue they can fix it on priority and we don't have to look for local technicians. If I have to get it repaired on my own then why should I buy home warranty, for what they are charging monthly amount + visit charges from customer. This is malpractice and cheating with customer. I reserve my right to follow legal course against the Select Home Warranty because it really caused me stress.

Select Hoem Warranty has not heard from the customer since we replied to their lawyer letter in 07/2015, our last correspondence was that we are approving the customer for the maximum amount allowed for their claim of 250.00. The customer or their lawyer has not replied to the last letter we...

Select Home Warranty has issued a refund in the form of a check on 09/02/2015 tot he customer.
I finally received the check today, however, they said they mailed it on the 14Sep the post mark from their location was dated 16Sep. So again, this company are full of lies.

paid 439.00 dollars and they are refunding 19.00 plus the 50 cancellation fee. Until this day I didn't receive either, policy was cancelled 3/30 how long can a check or refund to a cc can take?. When they charge my credit card they process the payment the same day. Shame on you, this company it's a scam.

This Agreement doesnot cover any systems or appliances that have had previous repair or thatrequire repair or replacement as a result of improper installation, previousrepair, damage caused by any construction activity, improper wiring, inadequateor lack of capacity, power failures, power surges, overloads, missing parts,failure to properly maintain, failure to properly clean, neglect, misuse,corrosion, rust, sediment and any modification to the system or appliance. Youare responsible for providing maintenance and cleaning by a licensed technicianon covered items to ensure continued coverage on such items. Select reservesthe right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures,without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on anysystem/appliance is up to $150.00. For example: heating and a/c systems requireperiodic cleaning and/or replacement of filters and cleaning of evaporator andcondenser coils. The customer was unable to provide maintenance for the unit,we did advise that we are unable to move forward with the claim. The customer has read and signed the Terms ofAgreement, which clearly state that our warranty does not provide Freon relatedcoverage. See Below:6.3.6. Air Conditioning (Central). I am rejecting this response because: I had a premium policy that was full coverage for repair or replacement for everything in the house except the washer and dryer. They did neither repair nor replace the air conditioner but instead offered me $150 and then uped it to $200 to get me to stop calling. They are a warranty company as such they repair or replace the insured items. This is not my first warranty and other companies have replaced or repaired items that have stopped working in previous homes I have owned. This company is not reliable nor honest. Their sales person assured me that my policy covered everything in the house and it would be replaced or repaired. We talked a long time regarding just what was covered. After extensive conversation I agreed in good faith to purchase this warranty. But once I had a claim, they no longer seemed to want to repair or replace anything.

The customer spoke with [redacted] and their approval was increased to $200 on their claim. The customer was informed to provide us with an invoice so that we may submit the necessary reimbursement forms. This is the maximum allowance that the customer will be receiving in this claim.

We did speak with the customer and helped them with a reimbursement for the claim.

I am rejecting this response because: Once again, I have not received the refund as promised. At first I heard 2-7 days to credit my account. Select's response to you was 7-10 days for a check by mail. Now today SHW has again "promised" the refund to my card in 1-3 days. I will not report this as a satisfactory resolution unless and until I receive a FULL refund of my contract purchase price with said refund showing clearly in my bank account.
