heater, Select HomeWarranty is unable to move forward, due to the fire damage. Our policy does not cover leaks of any kind or any firedamage, our policy clearly state we do offer coverage for mechanical failuresto appliances and systems. We have reached out to the customer to discuss this matterfurther and would be more than willing to offer a courtesy payment as well.Select Home Warranty would be more than happy to work withthe customer to find a resolve in this matter. Please acknowledge the copy of the invoice from [redacted]& [redacted].
I am rejecting this response because: I am not asking for repairs of new problems they have not repaired original problem. When speaking with [redacted] at Select he informed me they paid out for replacement of refrigerator fan when I told him the last Tech indicated the fan is not working and need to be replaced he said they will not call the first tech back to replace that I could do that. They are now saying they paid out for other repairs and not fan. Why was the fan replaced in previous conversations and now they are not including in itemize list now. When the first Tech came back out the second time they informed me they replaced the fan.
The customer unfortunately is not eligible for a refund as refunds are issued within the first 30 days of purchase and the customer purchased their agreement in 2016. Mr. Gold has been trying to reach out to the customer to discuss their claim but they have not yet returned his call. Please contact Mr. Gold in the office as we would like to assist the customer with their claim concerns.
we did approved the customer for $400 towards a new dishwasher. The customer elected to cancel the policy. We have waived the cancellation fee for the customer.

reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me at this time. The issues were not solved and they did not take responsibility for the fact that the contract terms are misleading, but due to lack of time and money I will not pursue them in court at this time and I agreed upon minimal reimbursement.

Complaint: [redacted]I first want to thank the Revdex.com, because of you getting engaged Select Home finally reached out to me. I truly appreciate your support with this matter, sad that a customer has to ask the Revdex.com to get involved just...
get a response from a company that is paid a fee for services.Select Home Warranty (Mr. [redacted]) did in fact email me as well as call me on the 21st after you all contacted them. Mr. [redacted] informed me that Home Select would pay for the parts but not the labor, I have never heard of a home warranty covering major appliances not covering repairs. Not like I can do the repairs.
I am rejecting this response because: The original estimate was provided to Select Home prior to having the technicians fix the A/C. After the technicians replaced the old blower motor they still could get the furnace/A/C working as they were still getting an error code that they couldn't clear. They believe the computer board shorted out when the blower motor went bad. So now the computer board (not sure of actual part name) needs to be replaced to get the A/C working. As soon as I get the new estimate of repair I will provide it to Select Home (Mr. [redacted]).Bottom line is I believe the home warranty coverage I purchased should cover all required parts and labor minus my deductible.

Our policy is to send customers their welcome packet once payment is received and Select Home Warranty did mail a copy of the policy on 11/19/2015 as the customer requested on the same day.If the customer did not receive information via mail that they requested, we should have been informed by the customer that it was not received after 7 days.
The customer has already accepted the approval amount by signing their reimbursement form. No additional funds due at this time.
Select Home Warranty received notice from the customer to cancel their policy and that request is being processed, a check will be mailed on Wednesday 8/26/2015.
The customer received their refund through the credit card company in the amount of 525.00 with dispute case [redacted], we are not going to double pay the customer 525.00, if they received the money from the credit card company that came out of our account, so we did not send the check because it was debited from our account to pay the customer. The customer received a check from Select Home Warranty in the amount of 818.34 and cashed it on 09/30/2015 .The credit card company stated the customer was not entitled to any additional money from Select Home Warranty, that is why they only debited 525.00 from Select Home Warranty.Chargebacks are disputed between the credit card company and the customer, we came to an agreement where we would refund the customer 818.34 and they(credit card company) settled for 525.00(meaning the customer is not entitled to any additional money because we did prove we provided service)
Please refer to Section 6.3.7 of your warranty: 6.3.7. Garage Door Opener. This Agreement covers the following garage door opener components: (i) control board; (ii) motors; (iii) chains; (iv) belts; (v) gears; (vi) pulley; (vii) sheave fork; (viii) axle bolts; and (ix) switches. Excluded: (i)...
garage doors; (ii) springs; (iii) brackets; (iv) tracks; (v) rails;Per the diagnosis received the customer needs their garage door replaced. It clearly states in the warranty contract that garage doors are NOT covered under their contract. As a courtesy however, the customer was approved $100 towards the repair/replacement of the door which is the maximum allowance that will be paid on this claim. In addition, should the customer wish to cancel their contract we can proceed as requested per section 13.2 of their warranty. The customer unfortunately, is not eligible for a full refund as full refunds are issued within the first 30 days of coverage. Since this customer paid for their warranty in 2016 they are no longer eligible for a full refund. Please confirm if you wish to proceed with cancelling your contract so that we may process your request accordingly.

I am rejecting this response because:
I would like a full refund from the first...
day I purchased select home warranty in June. They were of no service to me on the small claim I had with their company. I got one month refund but to resolve this issue I believe I should get my full 4 months of payments back plus a $45 deductible they had me pay to the contractor for no service. This company has bad business practices and is of no service to their customers.

Select Home Warranty will issue a refund to the customer per the Terms of Agreement
In an attempt to resolve my previous complaint, I received a call from the owner of the company apologizing for the...
horrible service. However after paying a total of $850.00 for the policy he was standing by his calculations to only return a fee of $50.00. The owner wanted to return my cancellation fee of $75.00 if I remove the negative comment from this website, which is a insult to me. I paid $850.00 for the policy, used the warranty once because the customer services was horrible. Also, the one vendor that came out to repair my refrigerator (that's broken again) says he was dropping select home warranty because they don't pay their vendors on time. There you have it people. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.I want a least $400.00 returned before I can say this company resolved ALL of my concerns. I referred 3 people to this company. Select Home Warranty made money from my referrals.
Select Home Warranty did advise the customer we did have to review their claim, and they could pay the technician and send int he invoice for review. If the customer chooses not to pay a technician whether the issue is covered or not and they know they do not have hot water the customer is taking...
responsibility for that action.Select Home Warranty advised the customer that this would be under review and that they should take action, we can not be held responsible for that, furthermore we are unable to give full refund for the time the customer has had coverage with us.Warranty coverage worked just like medical and car coverage, if you didn't have an issue all that time we cannot issue a refund, coverage was available if there had been an issue. The customer has an issue with a valve and we did ask for the model and serial number during that time the customer requested to cancel, we could not assist the customer further due to their request. If the customer wanted us to handle the claim they could have allowed us the time and provided the information we requested, but, they decided to cancel.
The customer purchased the policy on 06/30/2015, the first 30 days is a trial period, the customer is allowed to look over the contract and address any issues in the home before the actual warranty starts. The customers first day active on the policy is 07/30/2015, 30 days would be 8/30/2015, 60 days...
09/30/2015, and finally the end of the 90 day terms would be 10/30/2015.The customer was still in their first 90 active days of the policy when the claim was filed, the customer is entitled to the maximum allowed at the time of 150.00.
We did speak to the customer and have waived the cancellation fee for them.
w are sending a check for the balance of $127.50. The check will go out on 3 days.
The customer purchased their warranty on 6/15/17. The customer filed a claim for their air conditioner on 7/3/17. Per section 4 of their signed contract their claim was denied as they filed their claim within the first 35 days. With respects to the customers microwave claim please refer to section...
8.3 of the customer signed contract. The customer has already been offered a reimbursement for their microwave claim which is the maximum allowance. [redacted], I am unable to attach a copy of the customers signed warranty here. I will email it to you directly.
