Someone from our office will be contacting the customer to discuss the claim.
Select Home Warranty has processed the refund as per the Terms of Agreement per the contract we sent tot the customer. See Below13.2. Cancellation by You. You may cancel this Agreement within thirty (30) days from the Order Date of this Agreement, as set forth on the schedule page accompanyingthis Agreement. In the event you cancel within the thirty (30) day period, the You shall be entitled to a full refund if and only if, no service has been provided under thecontract. After the thirtieth day, you may receive a refund pro-rated at the non-discounted annual plan cost. A $75 cancellation fee will be charged and any service costsincurred by Select Home service contract.It does state if you cancel before the term ends and after your initial 30 days, you are subject to a 75.00 cancellation fee as well as charged any service costs.
The customer has already been informed that AC zone systems are not covered. The customers claim has been denied.
Select Home Warranty will be issuing a full refund to the customer via check.
The technician did provide us with a diagnosis. They went out to their home and charged for their time out there. There is nothing more we can do as it is in their contract to pay the service fee when a technician is sent to the customers home. The customers account has been cancelled as previously requested.

I am rejecting this response because: this is an absolute lie. I have copies of the forms showing where I requested the money should be mailed to. Secondly, they do not have a credit card of mine in record.

can explain in detail... I was owed a claim reimbursement of $125 around June 2015. I never received that payment even after calling multiple times. The reps in billing, customer service kept telling me the same thing over and over again. I should have never been charged a cancellation fee as well because I canceled because of them not giving me my claim refund and that by the way is a breach of contract. Finally when I canceled service in November 2015 after waiting patiently for my claim refund (money they owed me per the contract) the service got terminated and I never received my pro rated refund as well. Totally disgusting customer service!

Is select home warranty offering us the $200.00 for the oven? We have not talked to them about the money for the service call because we were told to wait because if we signed anything from them then they didn't have to pay any other money. We will accept the $200.00 for the oven and $50.00 for the difference of the service call for a total of $250.00. Please let me know if they are in agreement with this.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: they are a fraud. In all my conversations with them before buying the service warranty they never said they didn't pay for installation and if that is the case why would I need their service warranty. The part, the drain pump, that they claim was bad was only $35 as checked on-line yet they wanted to charge $90 to install. We have now found out after purchasing the drain pump ourselves that the original drain pump wasn't bad after all as we tested it and it took less than 30 minutes to install. This means they were ripping up off for the labor or their labor fee is $180 an hour. After replacing the drain pump the dishwasher still doesn't drain so their diagnosis was wrong and they would have wanted more money to fix it. You can close this complaint as I'm just going to turn them over to the [redacted] for fraud.

The customer purchased the policy 07/23/2014 , they had coverage for an entire year and as per the signed agreement the customer is charged the full non-discounted rate for cancellation.

We have sent the reimbursement for twice and have not received it back. We will send the check without the form.
The technician already went out and the repairs have been approved.
The customer disputed for the amount of 300.00, and we have issued a refund back to the customers' card for the 125.00 on 06/07/2015.
The customer will receive a full refund on the renewal amount.

I am rejecting this response because: Buyer Beware; especially Sr Citizens:Sr Citizens Are their main target and easiest to con.When you purchase a home or even a car warranty from a honest company; you expect them to follow through and repair what is broken. After your basic fee, nothing else is owed. All except Select Warranty. Their sells people sell you a bill of goods and claim they do handle repairs. Pay the fee and everything else is covered. They even say that when they sell you the policy. Lot of small print and hidden language in their contracts; but still felt like why would the salesman lie. Shame on me!! Twice I called on repairs and twice I had to pay, because Select Warranty would only pay a certain percent of the bill. Their service advisors after checking around charge more than other repair shops and do not have the experience or knowledge to see the real issue. Example the ice maker. The ice maker was replaced, but I had to pay more than half the bill because Select warranty would only pay certain amount for an ice maker. Come to find out, ice maker was not the issue. Select warranty refused to pay any more and it was going to cost me almost $400.00 to repair the problem,. SO when Select warranty said they sent a repair company out to correct the issue, it is just another of their con games they pull. People need to be aware that Select Warranty is not a good company to work with and they target the Sr Citizens of the world with their deception and phony repair game.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, this is the same response I have been receiving for months.
We do apologize for any miscommunication. Select home warranty definitely dropped the ball. Normally claims are paid by check. We have credited $108 back to the customer card to speed up the process. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The customer policy was not active at the time of the claim. However we will send the customer a $177 check as a food will. Please allow 7-10 days to arrive.
