We started service with skybeam in May with unlimited data usageWe agreed to a two year contract under those conditionsSkybeam was changed to Rise Broadband and I started to receive emails we were over our data usageI called Rise Broadband who informed me that I now have a gb limit and will have a monthly charge for anything over thatI stated that is not what I agreed to in my two year contract and wanted to terminate it to which they refuse to doWe were never notified of the data cap

I was sent an email stating that I had unlimited data but recently received an email stating that I was at 75% of my monthly usage which is a message I had never received in the pastWhen chatting with the company's online help center to see why I suddenly had a cap on my usage I was told they had switched my plan with no notice to meI would also like to mention my bill has increased by about two dollars since I joined in FebruaryThe internet is very fast but I am not impressed by the service or lack of communication

My service with Rise began in August of In the area I was living in (renting a house), I was getting about mbps and it was not great but is was ok for what I neededIn April 2017, we purchased a house and I had every intention of transferring my service to the new addressI called and set up the appointment for the tech to come move the satellite and everythingAt the time of that call, I was told that in the new area, the best they could offer was mbpsThe representative on the phone offered to lower my monthly rate due to the drop in serviceShe informed me that if I chose to take the lower rate, I would have to begin a new month contractI asked about keeping the current rate and she said if I chose to do that, I would just keep the same contract I was currently on and would have about months left on the contractI told her not to change anything at that timeI wanted to think about it and would get back with Rise on my decisionI called back later to discuss things further and of course got a different representativeAt that time I was information that the first representative I talked to had given me incorrect informationThey told me that in the area I was moving to, I could only get about mbps of internet and I had to begin a new month contract no matter whatI told them mgbs was not acceptable and I definitely would not pay more months for service that would do me no good at allThat is when they informed me that I would have to pay a $termination fee for terminating my contract earlyI feel this is very unfairIt is not my fault the service in my new area is so lowWhy should I be forced to take service or pay a penalty for something that is out of my control? If I had just decided to cancel for no reason or something within my control I could understand the penalty, but not in this situation

In September of 2016, I had to move and called to request a service move and was told they did not have service in my area and had to pay an early termination fee which I knew was not the case when they could not provide service for you as it states in their contract The customer service rep stated I could file an appeal but quickly retracted her statement so we never paid itI received a collection notice and contacted Rise on April 14, and they said I owed it because I broke my contract so I highlighted their paragraph where it says that if they cannot provide service that we are not responsible and they said after looking into that they do provide service here now and we do not owe itThey then said we would get the amount of $that we had paid into that month and it would be processed in 4-weeks I again contacted them on May 5, asking if it was on the way and she kept saying it was being printedI emailed them a few more times and always got the same answer

Rise Broadband started charging me data overages a couple months agoI contacted them to find out whyThey told me it was because of my *** settingsThey told me how to fix itI did add they asked and the next month, they still charged me for data overagesI asked them why again and they said they didn't know where the data was coming from and they had no way to track itI told them they could not bill me for something that they couldn't track or have no proof ofThey told me they could test my internet by shooting it off for hoursIf there was still data showing up during that time then they would issue me a creditIf there was no data showing, then the data would be valid and they would charge me the overagesI called today to find out what they sound and they told me the data is valid and they are charging me for itI told him I wanted a report showing their findingsHe said they had no way to track itI am just feed upI don't want to be charged for data I'm no

I have been a customer for years and called to get a different plan,I was told I would get one thing and got another,than I went over data plan.I called back and the guy quoted me another bigger data plan and misquoted the ammount on that as well,I said to just cancel my service and there trying to say I have to pay a early termination fee,I shouldnt have to pay for that because he qouted me wrong.Very disapointed and after reading more reviews im not surprised,Seems they do everything to try to lock you in a contract

On June 1, we lost internet service from Rise Broadband This was the first issue we had since becoming their customer in May of By the afternoon of June 2, we were still out, and made the call to the technical support line We learned service had been down for hours and they were working on it In fact, they had the majority back on, but customers remained without service, but thought we would have it back before the day was over At 9:that evening we were still without service, and we made another call to tech support We were put on hold for several minutes, and then told they weren't sure what was going on, but would get back to us (they never got back to us) On June 3, we are still without service, and we called again We were put on hold again while "they contacted the area of service for a report." After a minute hold, we were told no contact was made, but they would call or email us when they had a report....I reminded them without internet we d

I have had Rise Broadband service for years, There has always been some speed issues since starting however normally are resolved very quickly, however Starting in February I have had ongoing speed issues which has culminated in basically a loss of service since the beginning of June (only being able to physically get internet for 1-hours a day)I have spoken with many Supervisors and basically been told the same thing "Congestion" and that they are working on it with no ETAI had a supervisor call me back with a higher level of technical support a couple of days ago his name was Andrew and state that the reasons I am having even more issues is because I am over miles away from the tower I am currently connected on and congestion put together, we had a discussion about whether I have ever been put on any other towers and I said yes I haveyear ago I was moved to my current tower from the previous tower I had been on for years because of network updates and that t

Over the last several months we have had very inconsistent internet serviceThe quality has been poor to non-existent most daysRadio antenna, wiring and router have all been replaced and we have been informed it is a problem with your towerWe have tried to get resolution of this problem by going through tech support - Ticket # *** - and have been repeatedly told they do not know when the problem will be resolvedI asked if it would be a week? a month? a year? and no one can answer that questionThis is extremely frustrating not knowing when and/or if we will ever have internet

Rise Broadband advertised a $gift card would be given with the purchase of their services This involved the agreement of a two year service contract The service was purchased in March and installed in April, We have not received the card after numerous calls beginning in September, During each call, we were assured that the card was coming and had been added to the "fast track" to get expedited I called again to day and told them my next option was to notify the Revdex.com to which I was told that the matter had been sent to the corporate level to be handled
As this has been basically the response to this problem, I am seeking assistance from your organization

On January 12, I received an email advertisement from Rise Broadband offering higher internet connection speed, a lower price, and a $*** gift card if I would call in and agree to a 2-year contract to remain with their serviceThe email specifically states that they will provide the fastest internet speed available to my address for $/ month for yearsIt sounded like a great deal to me so I called them up and agreed to the contractIt has now been over four months since that time, my price has remained at $per month, my internet speed has not changed, and I have never received the promised gift card

Started in May of 2017, I called and cancelled my internet service and it was paid in full In fact I actually received a refund Two months later I received a bill for two month of internet service I called and they finally cancelled the service This May I called just to get my password for my email and the next thing I know they send me a bill for email serviceThey did not inform me that they were going to charge me for the ability to access an email that I have had for years On top of the bill there is a late charge for $20, that's really funny since I never received a bill for the first charge I have lived in the same place with the same address since 1997, so I don't know how you can justify a late charge on top of a bill that I did not ask for

I responded to an advertisement in January that promised: faster speeds, a year price of $39.95, and a $Visa Gift card I have emailed and chatted with a representative on several occasions and to date I have not gotten the speed, the price, or the gift card I've been billed for $during the whole period and even paid for a service at the beginning of the term that I didn't want and they would not reimburse me They have never delivered on the speeds that I was getting before the January contract and the service drops regularly

It's now been a week since we've experienced no internet service from Rise BroadbandIt will come up for a few seconds then go back down for about a half hour and repeatWe've received a multitude of "reasons" for their outage including radar, planes in the area, interference, illegal use of frequency and congestionThey've told us that all new access points are being installed and customers moved to these although we're not one of themThey've also said they're trying to determine the source of interferenceWe are unable to get an answer as to what they're doing to resolve the issue and when it will be resolvedMany of their customers depend on their service to perform their jobs meaning this impacts customers' ability to work

Horrible service! Salesman came by our home and told us NO contract for serviceCame and installed and did not workHad to call for them to come back out and they still could not get it to workWe called to cancel and they tell us we owe a $early cancellation fee for leaving "our contract" earlyWe never even signed a contractThe salesman are fraudulent as is the company itself

The company's receiver/mast on top of my house has fallen over The company will not make a service call to my house for a WEEK This equipment is a hazard to my children, home, and my vehicle

I was told by the installation tech to log onto the website to pay the $installation chargeWhen I did so the next day, there was nothing to payLater there was a $late charge added to the bill

Promised speed was 25mb; I never get more than about to 5mb

We have contacted technical issues for days in a row with no response or lack of expediency We have been without internet for days without any resolution and the only resolution that they have offered is a credit of dollars but yet for $we can get out of our contract with them It is unacceptable My husband runs a business and has to go somewhere with FREE to be able to conduct business
