I have had a horrible experience with Rough Country Rustic FurnitureMy husband and I ordered a pcBedroom set back in SeptemberWe were told weeksI tried to check in at weeks only to have a terrible time getting ahold of themI tried to be understanding because the voicemail said she was on maternity leaveFinally I tried Facebook messaging them and got thruI was told it was not ready and would be ready early FebruaryAgain I tried and tried to reach them with no responseI finally got an email telling me it would be ready February 20thWe set aside the weekend to go get it and was disappointed when again it was not readyThey offered a refund but I just wanted my furnitureI asked for a number I could reach them at and tried that number until today to reach them every day only to leave messagesNever got a phone call backI finally threatened to contact local authorities and got a message back that was slightly rude for my choice of words to get their attentionThey immediately refunded my money for which I was thankful, however now we have gone weeks with no furnitureI was really in love with that set and feel like it was just no big deal at all to themThey never once gave a reason for delay, offered a discount or even acted like my money and business was important to them
I was really nervous about ordering from this company after researching and reading all the negative reviewsBut I REALLY wanted a concealment flag and I was in love with the one for sale on their siteAnd I couldn't find a similar item anywhere else
The shipping time was insane...but I received my flag within the time line the site promised (months-ish)

I purchased the live laugh love lamp on May 25thThe gift is for my best friend who is getting married and it was for her bridal showerI had to give her a piece of paper with the picture of the lamp and told her I hoped it would come soonI patiently waited and contacted them July 16th about my order statusThey replied on July 18th saying that my order would ship in 5-business daysI had still not received my package and emailed them again on August 15th wondering what was happeningThey then told me my order would ship that weekIt is now the end of August and I still have not received tracking information or any information saying my item has even been shippedI never complain and I am an extremely patient person but I am frustrated that this gift was supposed to be for my best friends wedding and I haven't received it after monthsI don't feel the company is communicating with me well at all and I feel taken advantage of as a customerI sincerely hope I receive my package soon I was really hoping for better customer service from this companyExtremely disappointed

"Handmade by Americans for Americans" is a great line they use to sucker people in and give their hard earned money to pay for what looks like quality furniture, on what they tell you will be up to a day wait on non-custom orders
I am now days in to this waiting period, it has costed me two months of mortgage payments, and all I have gotten as far as communication has been vague answers to my inquiries of how much longer I still have to waitI have been told different completion dates, been given the runaround about when it is supposed to ship, and am still sleeping with my mattress on the floor because I assumed the company was honest with their wait times posted on their site
I wish I could be the one to stick up for them and say that they did a wonderful job and it was done on time, but I cannot, so instead I'm saying buyer beware, save your money and order from Nebraska Furniture Mart or somewhere that can fulfill the promises they make

The most important part of this review is the coffee table we cared so much aboutWe were excited to receive it after waiting almost months for itImmediately after we removed it from packaging we noticed craftsmanship defects in the woodOne entire side is cracked along the inside, and the other side is cracked in the middle causing it to not align properlyIt seems as though the product was rushed to be sent out, thus not caring about the quality of the productWe again emailed the business with numerous pictures of what we found on Dec 30, and have yet to receive a response backWe do not want a replacement because of how long it took to receive the original but we would like to discuss a full/partial refund due to having to repair it ourselves

However, my experience with this company is differentI found the website off social media and immediately thought the ideas this veteran owned company had were ingeniousI started looking through and decided to start smallI ordered a concealed flag for my brother in law and he enjoyed itThey were backed up for the holiday season and he got it and said it was well made and looked great
After a good experience I decided I would see if they had something I would likeI came across the blackout bookshelfWhich on the website looks incredible and had a very detailed description of what it came with and how it was builtI only wish that I could post photos because what I received after waiting and a half months looked like a year olds art projectTo start it was packaged extremely poorly for being shipped by traditional shipping companies who toss things aroundlayer of bubble wrap and a cardboard boxfor a lb bookshelf that really doesn't do anythingThe shipping company had knocked something into it and put a dent in the wood on the left side of it exposing wood through the paint When it was packaged and sealed with staples, the person who boxed it had actually driven some staples into the wood, a carless oversight by this company and the last of many other issues
To add to this a top board had cracked down the length of the board (width of the bookshelf) this may have been shipping or RoughCountry, hard to tell seeing how whomever installed the shelving had driven the screws into the edges of the boards and had cracked some of the shelves, who knows if they even pre-drilled the holes firstTo add to that the whole shelf was painted after it was built, thats not too bad, except if you blatantly miss spots and do not tack down the cheap backboard for the shelving and you can see the unpainted portion where the shelves areTo finish it off the bottom base board was literally ripped off and nails were flattened
I had intended to make this review neutral as I was given a refund and they did not ask for the shelf back, however I went to look at it and check something else the description stated and the foam inserts that came with it are not even adhesive and the shelf is solid black unlike photo on their website which shows a weathered looI think I am just going to throw the thing out anyway as I would be humiliated to actually put this in a useful place where someone could see it
Hopefully they can solve their many lacking issues so that they may keep operating before they lose all their business
