We had ADT installed in our home for about months nowSince then they have had myself and my wife working on the system a few times a week when we have time to call themThe system either has no service or it says that doors are not shut but then at or in the morning it will chime saying that the door finally shutThe guy that installed it was only trying to get me to buy more stuff when he was putting it inHe couldn39t even get it contacted to my phone like they said it would said they would have to do that in a day or so and that has not happened yet eitherSo they done got me for about another dollars for the sensor that tells you what door opensBut they finally said after me and my wife could not get their product working that they could send a tech out to check it but if it was something that we should have done that they would charge us an hourly rate of like almost a dollars an hour and also a service feeSo we told them to go ahead and come out whateve

We are first time home owners building a new homeWhen we started the process for home owners insurance our insurance company recommended that we get home security system and that ADT offered discount to their membersSo I googled ADT to get information and a quoteI called the first 1-number I saw and they said there was a $deposit required to get someone to go out to my house but that if I didn't want the service I would get immediately refundedA few days go by and I never received a confirmation email for the appointmentAnother week goes by and nothing so I get worried and I search Google again for the number and when I call they say they can't find my name or information in the systemWhen I checked my bank account there was a charge for $So I called againThey said I must have gone through an authorized dealerAt that point they had no way of figuring out who I originally spoke toI immediately called my bank and cancelled my card for fraudThen at in

I got my alarm system installed about months ago, when the tech arrived he didn't install all the sensors that I agreed with protect your home on he had missed sensors that he said he will be back to install secondly since I had the system Ive had issues with it they came out and fixed it but I kept having the same issues and I couldn't arm my system until I called today and they said that they cant help me anymore because im over the days protection plan and I have to contact adt I contacted ADT they told me that I don't have a warranty on my system even though the system came with a life time warranty on equipment so protect your home advertises life time warranty and they didn't honor that , my missing sensors that their tech suppose to come back and install never happened and what they try to fix still having an issue with

I was told I had three days to return the item with out being charged and I got three charges on my account that were not all gone overI have a hole in my wall that I w3ill have to reapir because they do that before they go over any pricesI am highly dissatisfied and will not pay 75% of a contract I am not recieving because I never received and email they noted they sentI called in the next day to cancel that should be fact enough

On June 29, 2016, I thought I had call into ADT to purchase a security system for my home The representative who answered was a gentleman, I asked if this was ADT he said yes, so I proceeded to order the security system He stated, to complete my order he needed my bank information which I gave for the installation fee in the amount of $My account was debited for $At my request I ask if the security system can be installed after 4:pm, which the representative said yes At the end of the call the representative said thank you for calling into Defender Direct and hung up I immediately call the number which was on the website and got ADT, who informed me that Defender Direct is one of their sub-contractors

I have complained multiple times with this company and it seems to continueI informed Defenders/ADT on yesterday I am moving and would like to transfer my services to my new apartmentUpon being put on hold several timesI was told they would need to re-run my credit and I would have to pay a $transfer feeI told the rep I am not allowing them to run my credit again when I have paid on time since having the service last yearI don't want unnecessary inquires on my creditMy credit has nothing to do with my ability to pay especially since it is being drafted out of my account every first of the monthSo, they told me If I cancelled because I think it's unfair I would have to pay over $1,and there is no way I can fork over that kind of cashI'm a single mother and all I'm trying to do is keep me and my kids protected, but Defenders/ ADT has made this experience the worst I've ever had with a security company

The customer rep George on 2/16/told me they received the NOC by fax and proceed the appointment for uninstall of the device on March 5th, Which I am fine with itProtectyourHome will email me cancellation email
I was charge twice on my credit card $by protectyourhome on Feb 1st and than again 2/14/$For some reason protectyourhome decided to charge $+ tax /month for my contract but my contract clearly show I am supposed to get charge only $+ tax The $+ tax prorated for month of Feb and March totaling $ Total of $on my credit card already chargedNot to mention the frustration we faced when we had to argue with your sales rep and technician about their sales tactics during installation

advertising, took money without permission, threatening,refused to let me talk to managers,been hung of on countless times,wired up my own keypad to my alarm system when technician watched, refused to take sensors back when I was within the day return,felt I was takin advantage of,forceful,and many many more

we got a new ADT system, bad sensor and goes off when helicopters fly over setting it off,have to by pass or it goes off in the middle of the night,contacted them ,no show for the service call,,call again them they put me on hold for mins and had to end the callcall back another person puts me on hold ,then tries to get hold of techs ,nope rescedual,dont know if they will show up I told him,all this after they people that you call dont know about their own censors and how they even workSAD got a week to decide wether even to keep the system

7/or 19/I called 1-877-890-9002, I talked to a guy and I said I would like someone to put in the free Activation, he said that it would be on the 7/21/between 9am 11pm the installer came from lake Havasu city AZ, and spent more than half a day putting the system and call his boss I guss it was in Phoenix Officethey charge me 2,and I said no that was to much he would call and talked to and then I got side track he leftor days later my bank called told me about the two charges, the for 2,and another charge 2,Total off 4,My bank *** *** put back the 2,I'v called A D T or times thy keep denying the charges So now me and the Bank are screwed

On December 3rd, I had defenders come to my home to install a security systemFirstly, when I called to initiate an account setup and have a technician out to my home to install a security system, I specifically stated that I wanted camerasWhen the technician was at my home, on December 3rd, going over the packages that ADT offers and we were discussing camera optionsI was told that I was going to get three free cameras plus a couple of door sensorsNo one bothered to tell me that the cameras require a wifi signal in the homeOnce that was disclosed to me, I was offered three motion sensors in place of the camerasIt didn't dawn on me until after yhe tech had left that I was only given two motion sensors, not three, and two door sensorsSecondly, I was being charged almost the highest monthly rate, even though barely half of my home was technically "secured"I was told that it was because of the phone application access to control the security systemOn December 5th, 2018, I faxed my "notice of cancellation" to the fax number provided on the formI had a printed confirmation of the fax, but called on Monday the 7th of December to confirm from a live agent that the notice was received, it was receivedI was told that it would take hours to process the cancellation and I would receive a full refund as soon as a technician could come to my home and uninstall the equipmentLastly, during the hour period of cancellation, defenders charged my bank account for the first two months service, after they had received my cancellation noticeI waited for several days and they never called to schedule the appointment to uninstall the equipmentI was given multiple different excuses as to why the cancellation was being handled so poorlyI decided to contact my personal banking institution to file a claim and for the bank to settle the matterMy bank returned all of the funds charged to my account, plus any fees that were charged due to the overdraftI was not notified that defenders were still going to charge my account after they received my cancellationThe following week, a technician called and scheduled an appointment to come and uninstall the equipmentDefenders removed the equipment from my homeI don't agree with the company charging my bank account before they got around to processing my cancellationI believe that defenders should extend the period of time between installation and the first charge for monthly services to at least 12-daysThis would give a long enough grace period to alleviate this type of debacleTheir practice of doing this is not fair in the slightest to their customers

This company has misrepresented the amount that was to be charged to my credit account in the amount of dollars At no time during the installation process did the installer tell me he was "upgrading the security system and would cost being split into parts and billed in subsequent months I attempted to contact the merchant and was given very poor customer service by representative Dominique employee ID and was told " you signed a contract so..." when I proceeded to tell her I would pursue this with the *** *** and dispute the charges she said "do what you gotta do" I then called back as the resolve with this particular agent seemed fruitless I then spoke to agent Maria Employee ID and requested to cancel my contract and have the equipment removed from my home and was told " there is nothing I can do for you, you will have to call account services tomorrow I feel this company does not have ethical or moral business process when it com

I originally signed up with ADT service on a two-year contract through Protect Your Home (Defenders) at my original address After approximately one year, I had to move to a different area within the same state due to employment I had Defenders uninstall my alarm equipment from my original house and box it up, per their instructions After I moved and got settled in, I called Defenders to set up an installation for the system at the new house, after escrow closed I was told that installations were not normally done on weekends, which I required due to not having enough personal time from my moving I was originally told that this would not be an issue, but would require communications with the installation services manager I spoke with the acting manager, as I was told the regular manager was out of the country She set me up for Saturday, April 22nd, which was the earliest Saturday available after I moved into my new house (which was Monday, March 20th) I received a phone

The salesman/technician for DEFENDERS told me that the monthly service price would be $27.99, but when I received the first bill it was $ I didn't realize the bait and switch until I received my bill When I engaged DEFENDERS to have the solution resolved, they told me that it was too late to cancel and that I couldn't have the service I was sold for the rate it was sold forthey had no concerns or ownership for the fraudulent behavior of their salesperson

I signed up for ADT which was serviced by DefendersThe guy that went in to make the alarm system installation made huge holes on my wall I canceled ADT and submitted a complaint in regards to the holesI have been dealing with Vergie who according to her would get the issue resolved and get me a reimbursement for the massive holes left in the wallI have yet to receive a response from her nor full refund I have called her numerous times and emailed her without resolution

Told we had BUSINESS Days to cancel contract The customer service people were extremely rude, of them REFUSED to let me speak to Supervisor; one threatened me with lawyers According to ADT I was within my business days, but ADT refers the account to Defenders for the !st months, which is a fact that was never disclosedI thought the entire contract was with ADT
Friday 12/being first day; Monday 12/being second day and Wednesday, Jan ( the day I called Defenders) being the 3rd day January was a holiday and DEcember 29+was the weekend
When I contacted Defenders, they told me they consider Saturday a business day, (which is not stated anywhere in the contract)
I was within legal business days

I thought ADT was the company we hired, but that is not totally the caseDefender is a subcontractor that works with themADT / Defender came to my home separate times within the first days of install for the same faulty sensor issuesNow, since a 4th visit was needed within days, I want out of the contract, and to have a full refundPlease keep in mind that my wife and I are working parentsTaking time off of work every time an issue happened is not an easy thing to manageEspecially when you are dealing with very unorganized companies like themI have been trying to get this refund and cancellation issue resolved since March They have lied about who is management, been extremely uncooperative, rude to my wife and I, and have hung up on us after saying they are not releasing us from the contractThese companies, ADT and Defender, are just plain rude and dishonestBuyer Beware!! I believe we are protected by Florida law given the situation, and if things are not

The rep who installed the system was enthusiastic about the product and knowledgeableHe worked with me to customize the package within my budgetHe was also professional while also being compassionateHe took the time to explain all the benefits to me and to make me feel comfortable going forward with the processThe system installed is straight forward and easy to useIt took very little time to get used toI have only two minor complaints: There are some small issues with installation on a few oddly shaped windows, but nothing that can't be solved at a later dateThere were some significant inconsistencies between the info bbn I received from the rep on the telephone, who set up the in-person appointmentand the rep who showed up at my homeThe monthly price for the system increased $or $15, which for me was considerableThe benefits of the higher package was explained, but it still concerns me because that felt like a bait and switch tacticI've only kept the package because I did find the full rates published online and they may had up to what the reps said, even if there pitches seemed inconsistent at the time

This company is dishonest and unethical - I followed their instructions to process the cancellation and have waited weeks to have an appt scheduled to disconnect the equipment
