On January 23, I contacted Home Defender by calling phone number 1-800-203-9104, asking about their $promotion that I had received in the mailI talked to a customer service representative who explained the different ADT packages, and then scheduled an ADT installer to come and go over with me on the different options available An appointment was made for the same day, with instructions that the installer should not arrive before 5:PM, because that was the time I expected to get home from workI representative then asked for my debit card number, with an assurance that it would only be charged after I signed a contract with themI reluctantly agreed, not knowing that I would shortly regret my decision
Within minutes I got a notification from my bank that my ADT had charged $to my accountI got home at 5:PM and found out that the ADT installer had talked my wife into giving him the access code to my existing alarm panel, after which he disabled it, demoli
We signed up for home security for ADT through Protect Your Home, "Defenders" on 8/The needs were worked through a rep out of the Indianapolis office, Derrick L***, ID# We had worked through all the items we wanted and the monthly servicing cost, $48.99/moand there would be $out of pocket due at installFire monitoring was going to be included but waived and we would have ability to use the alarm with the Pulse appGreat, just like they system at our old house
Upon completion of install out of pocket was $2600, completed on 8/Day into the new system the glass break in the Garage goes off (nothing happened, nothing hit the window, nothing was broken into or attempted), cops are calledDay same thing happens again, and upon review via the app happens at least times, cops are calledSo in one weekend we have police calls to our house because the equipment is going off for no reasonPerfect way to start a new life with the whole town knowing cops com
We recently had an alarm installed and was led to believe that it was going to cost nothing out of pocket besides the $activation fee in which we would receive a gift card for in the near futureMy wife and I were told that they were giving us a $credit to cover our perimeterWhen the technician got here and installed the equipment we were informed that the credit was not enough to cover the equipment and that we had to pay $1,I was shocked but wanted my family to be protected so I payed the feeA week later we called to change it from cellular service($52.99) to a landline to get the $monthly cost we were originally sold on and were informed by ADT that there was in fact enough credit to cover the perimeter and that your Home Defender technicians were commission based employees and their job was to upset and make moneyAfter learning his we of course called your company to come our and take all of the uphold equipment back and install the equipment to cover th

You will think you are working with the national company ADT YOU ARE NOT This is a local company that does not seem to have any sense of what local business should be

I had a contract with adt and defenders where the installer which did a contract with mei had the services for a while I moved to this location I asked them to move my services when I spoke to them they made it very clear to me that I will continue with my old contract at the new locationbefore signing they presented me with forms on the tablet which were like three of themnow we they sent me the email that date of install it also stated the three formsit didnt have any contract which I signedafter this was done and said months later they came back and said that I have a new contract and I will be liable to pay the the full new price and old account and discussion are not notedwhich is a lie when I called them about other matters they have voice recordings and notes on the accountwhen its related to this matter they have no recordi feel there business is foundation of ripping people offi see so many complaints with customers about this company and adt I dont know
ATD came out and installed my system, when I told them it was too much money and I could not pay, they said they would work with me and I had days to try it for free but when I when on line that was hours not days, so I had them come out to remove their itemswhen they came back they lost my locksI ask for them to replace them and they giving the runaround and will not address, I just want them replaced, so I brought new locks and ask them to reimburse methe other problem I have with them is they told me it would take 3-days to refund my money for the install but then they never process my refund, and now they said I would take days, after telling it would only be 3-days
