I've shopped at Walmart ever since I can remember and the same goes for my parentsWeve never had a problem with Walmart since around 4-years back (we shop at a Walmart in a small town which will be important later)At first we noticed the registers were no longer full of employees and checkout lines were longer which caused some of our frozen/cold foods to thaw and spoil long before the expiration dateNext we noticed general employee service start to drop in qualityThe outdoor and automotive desks were outright abandoned and we had to either wait 30-minutes for the right employee to show up or we had to walk over to another desk to ask for an employeeAfter a year or so of having to deal with poor employee service EVERY TIME we shop at Walmart, we had an incident where a gallon of great value milk was spoiled despite the lid being sealeda month later, the same thing happened but the lid was loose and milk pored out before we even opened itafter a third case of spoiled milk, we stopped buying milk unless we flip the gallon up-side-down to ensure the seal is intactNext we noticed certain shelves like dog food, paper towels, toilet paper, canned beans, and laundry soap are sometimes not stocked like they used to be only months agoNow every other time we go to walmart, we expect such items to not be stocked forcing us to drive miles into the next town just to buy what we needAnd while I'm on the topic of other stores, because we're in a small town, other grocery stores have been forced to go out of business due to Walmart's low pricesThe only stores we have now is Dollar General and a ReasorsDollar general usually doesn't carry much while Reasors is way too expensiveAfter conversing with friends both across and outside the state, it simply isn't a local Walmart problem, its happening everywhereWhat happened in the past week has compelled me to write this reviewFor whatever reason, the executives at Walmart have made one of the stupidest decisions I've ever seenThey've decided to completely rearrange the food isles/freezers for almost absolutely no reasonthe only reason I've heard justifying this is so all the food is arranged by meals/time of dayWhat is the point of this? I went to the location on Bowman to purchase some juice for my daughter I walked out of the store without them and realized two hours after I got home It was late so I decided to call Wal-Mart to let them know what happened I told them I left the juice and the receipt was in the bag with the juice I was told to come back the next day in order to speak with a manager
When I got there I spoke with Phyllis who was standing outside I told her what happened and she went and got a manager I explained what happened to her I can't remember her name They were able to assist me and I was able to get the juice I was very impressed by their awesome customer service and willingness to help me for something that was clearly my fault Not all Wal-Mart experiences are bad and I want to be able to share this story with others If you are nice and kind with your request trust me they will be willing to work with you in getting any issues you may have resolved
When terms stated that the stores would accept price matching with Amazon themselves, not third party sellers on Amazon, the cashiers at Walmart would NEVER follow through with thisAfter contacting a manager he stated that I was correct in the fact that they do accept this site as a price matching candidateBut still, several time and have never succeeded
ON 8/16/I WAS IN WALMART And SAW a candle on the shelf that had one price ,which had several candle on same product when I got to the check out the cashier said it was a another price ,I asked a store worked to help me she said she was the manger the head person and she was not going to give me the candle for the price on the tag ,she started to get rude ,like I had changed the item's or something and gather the candles in her hand and walked a way she had a bad attitude or something I have reached out to Wal-Mart calling them with no return calls to address what happen with manger's attitude and how she treats a customer, so for the past days I have reached out to them each time telling me they were sending my problem higher up with no return call

I visited the Walmart at N Wickham Rd R, Melbourne, FL XXXXX to purchase a furniture itemI located a display of a piece that I wanted to purchase and noticed there was only one box of the piece on the shelf so I asked an associate to get another box from the back as I needed to purchase When she returned she advised me that the box that I obtained on the floor was priced $I was confused since the display was marked $and the label from where I obtained the boxed item was also marked $I advised her there must be a mistake and she began to explain that the items were different even though in fact they looked identicalApparently, one of the items was a Mainstays item and the other was manufactured by Sauter if I'm not mistaken...either way, the pieces were identicalI asked for a manager and I was greeted by a manger and although she was very pleasant she advised me that she could only honor the mis-marked price for box and not the that I neededThe associate (not the manager) even remarked that she would get in trouble if she honored the price...strangeI then stated that I would be perfectly happy to purchase the Mainstays item that I saw the display for but I was told that those items (even though they were identical) were out of stockI then asked to see where the display OR label for the $identical item was and they couldn't locate itI was a retail manager for a number of years and this was handled very poorlyI understand Wal-Mart is a huge corporation and doesn't care about losing customer but why would you do that when the customer is right in this instance and the company (Wal-Mart) would still be making money?? I then called the customer service hotline and things got even worse...I am currently a manager with a 3rd party customer service call center (we handle customer service for other companies) and I am sure that Wal-Mart has their own in-house customer serviceHow do I know this? The supervisor I spoke with hung up on me after a brief second conversationWhen she answered the phone she had a horrible tone and it was clear she wasn't in the mood to help anyoneI commented on this and she hung up on me...My company would fire any associate who brazenly hangs up on a customer so it's clear she must be a Wal-Mart employee because only Wal-Mart employees could get away with that since they don't need customers anyways
A couple years ago I had a horrible experience with a rude employee at my Neighborhood Wal-Mart (grocery store) on Babcock street in Melbourne, FL and I vowed never to return and I haven'tMy recent experience at the Wal-Mart on Wickham road has caused me to vow never to shop at any Wal-Mart again...and I won'tI am not writing this review because I want to buy the furniture at the $price...I don't want it anymore!
