We have credited the customer’s account for the $the selling dealer received from the customer.? This was made as a principal adjustment on August 12,

We purchased a contract from [redacted] ("dealer") on June 22, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education ("DOE") to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance Corporation ("EAC") was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan bureaucracy.? The dealer has many programs available from the DOE to chose from depending on the customer's financial situation.? Part of the fee charged by the dealer also included month management of student loans and re-enrollment with the DOE.? EAC had no involvement in this process since we are the finance company that the dealer choose to sell the contract toIf there are questions regarding the student loans, or the program enrolled in with the DOE, they must be addressed by the dealer's customer service department at ###-###-####.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to EAC

The loan documents electronically signed by the customer show payments for this account at $per month.? The payments have not and will not change, they are the same until the loan is paid in full.? Again, the agreement for consolidation and re-certification is between the customer and MTCSL, Corp (dealer).? If there is a question about what services the dealer is to perform on behalf of the customer, they must be address with the dealer

We purchased a contract from [redacted] aka [redacted] LLC ("dealer") on December 1, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help the customer navigate the student loan debt bureaucracy.? The dealer also agreed to month management of the customer's student loans, which is to re-enroll the customer into the best program available to choose from based on the customer's financial situation.? The customer would have given the dealer permission to access the student loan information on the customer's behalf.? We also have an audio verification of the transaction done with the customer prior to funding which explained the transaction and Equitable Acceptance's role.? We have to record of any calls done to our office except one in April of to change the address on file.? If the customer is having questions about the student loans, or the service the dealer provided, she needs to contact them at ###-###-####.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us, and will not be returning money to the customer

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer)? on April 10, on behalf of the customer.? The loan is for a service the dealer did for the customer to refinance their outstanding student loans.? The payment repayment began on June 25, 2015.? The account was set up to have payments electronically paid from the customer's checking account.? The last payment, due April 25, 2016, was returned to us as a NSF payment.? When we attemped to collect the payment from the customer she told us she has spoken to the Federal Loan people and said the loans are not taken care of by the dealer as of yet.? She needs to take that part of the complaint up with the dealer.? As for the loan with us, we will expect her to fulfill her obligation to us by bringing the account current and continuing to make payments per the terms of the documents she signed

The customer needs to work with the dealer, [redacted] , to resolve this matter.? We do not cancel accounts which are past the three day cancellation period without the dealer authorization and proof of cancellation.? Please contact Chris [redacted] at ###-###-#### to resolve this issue

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Good afternoon,Thank you for contacting the companyYesterday July 7, I was supposed to receive a phone call from Heather [redacted] at 5:30; however, she never calledI called July at 8:24am and again I was directed to the help desk who could only take down my information and assure me someone would call todayAt 9:14am? July 8, I received an email from Tania [redacted] , assistant customer service care manager, stating that Heather was transferred to a different office which is the reason no one has returned my phone callsIt seems odd to me that no one knew she transferred and everyone I spoke to just referred me to her voicemailI called her back and settled the issueI was assured no other payments would be taken out of my account or further contact will be made

We purchased the contract from the dealer.? If the customer has an issue with what the dealer sold her, or is telling her about the account, this must be addressed with the dealer.? As previously stated, the dealer offered to re-enroll the customer for two additional years, but the customer still needs to work with the dealer to accomplish this.? We cannot close this account and remove from the customer's credit file as requesting.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

We do not find this customer in our system based on the information provided.? If we can see a copy of the credit bureau showing our inquiry we could do further investigation to see if the inquiry was authorized

The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt bureaucracy.? The dealer has many programs to work with from the DOE based on the customer's financial situation.? The dealer enrolled the customer in an Income Driven Repayment program which lowered the monthly payment on the student loans in half.? The dealer also offered two years of re-enrollment or re-certification annually as part of the feeAny questions regarding the student loans must be addressed to the dealer.? They can be reached at ###-###-####.? The fee being paid to EAC is a separate amount and does not get credited to the student loan debt.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

We purchased a contract from Mentor (dealer) on December 16, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? The dealer requested us to cancel this account on January 25, which we did the next day.? The account should not be reporting on the customer's file any longer

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on April 25, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy.? When the customer made it clear to us in August of that she was not going to make payments on our loan, we cancelled the account back to the dealer.? The customer has no further obligation to us.? We will make sure the account is removed from the customer's credit files

? I am rejecting this response because: This company " [redacted] " did not do a thing I regards to my student loansI never heard from them and was never contacted by anyone regarding my student loansI refuse to pay equitable acceptance because they did not do a thing eitherIt is all a scam and a way to make free money by NOT helping anyone, which is what they didI just want to cancel all interaction with these peopleInstead I handled my loans myself and found a company to help me.?

? I am rejecting this response because: this response did not address my complaintMy issue is not with the loan or the process of paying back the loanI have been paying on this loan for close to two years with never having an issue with a late payment or missed paymentMy issue was with the payment made February of where I received an email confirmation and receipt of payment from Equitable acceptance where they state that the February payment was madeI did not get notification or any kind of communication till the end of February that the the payment did not get processedI told then I would have to check with my bank because I had noticed that it was paidMy complaint is upon trying to resolve this matter with Equitable acceptance their service representatives were completely unprofessional I have recorded conversations that they recorded that clearly show the unprofessionalism of their representative to be able to answer my questionsI had a question because I had a receipt from them for the payment and they we're telling me that the payment owed was almost double what my payment was I simply did not understand why and wanted to know what the additional charges wereUpon speaking with my bank I found out that there were plenty of funds available when payment was sent in to be processedI was repeatedly hung up on by supervisors and had to call in over times to finally get somebody who could resolve the February payment once I was able to finally get the answers I was looking for I gladly paid the amount that they said was remainingHowever the process to doing this took over daysThis is the source of my complaint not what the business responded to

? I am rejecting this response because: Equitable Acceptance have proven to be untrustworthy and have continued to lie about the status of their business partner, [redacted] failed to help consolidate the loan and submitt the necessary paperwork so that I can continue to be in the student repayment programBoth parties have a fiduciary obligation to me the client in ensuring the services that are being provided, are executed in accordance to the contract which didn't happenEquitable Acceptance knew [redacted] was out of business and continued to with draw money out of my account even though I was complaining to them about the services that were promised and not being providedI approached Equitable Acceptance several times and they lied about the company was still in business and were trying to reestablish the companyEvery time,? I would ask for the contact number, they would disconnect call or leave me on hold until the call droppedThis company has taken months of payments without vetting the information they wrote in the letterThey have lied and misrepresented all the facts regarding the servicing of my student loan debt, because I'm still left trying to resolve the issue regarding my student debt that should have bee taken care by [redacted]

We contacted the dealer, [redacted] , on behalf of the customer, and they have agreed to have us cancel this account.? The account will be cancelled by us today, and the customer will not have any further obligation to Equitable Acceptance

? I am rejecting this response because: I don't feel that this company has provided me with legit businessTherefore you are aware that they are just taking students money and not performing to the best interest at handYou are just as illegal as themI just want my money returned and you get your money from them as your working with them anywayYou were contracted to help students as well an what have you done??? Nothing but collect money

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.? This issues is clearly a misunderstanding of the nature of this businessIn truth, it appears that the advance made to finance the documentation process is in line with what [redacted] originally informed meThe companies involved in these transaction should detail the effects of their actions to customers to avoid these confusions for even within the recorded call, there is a confirmation of the actions taken but no explanation of its after-effectsEach action and its consequences should be detailed for the customer in order to make a well informed decision.? ? I, however, recognize that Equitable Acc is not in the teaching business and is a company with its own goalsAs such, I find this resolution satisfactory to me to the extent that is possible?

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on January 13, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer offers a service of helping to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracyWe have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to funding the loan which stated her understanding of the transaction.? The documents the customer signed clearly state that she has three days to cancel the transaction, but she did not cancel this with the dealer.? The first payment was set up for automatic payments per the signed document we received, however the payment was returned to us.? The customer did not make any further payments and this account was charged off due to non payment on May 15, 2017.? The customer has not further obligation to Equitable Acceptance.? In the future, we would suggest the customer to read completely and understand loan documents prior to signing them

The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the customer agrees to pay for the service the dealer was going to do to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? The first payment was due February 25, 2017, and a second payment was due March 25, 2017.? Both payments are now past dueWe have a recorded verification call done with the customer stating they agreed to this transaction which included the loan with Equitable Acceptance.? The dealer has notified us of the completion of the consolidation or refinance they didWe have not received any correspondence from the dealer to cancel this account.? The dealer would have had to received written notice to cancel the account prior to midnight December 8, per the terms of the Notice of Cancellation.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling their obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively to the credit bureau
