Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Online City Tickets essentially offered to compromise and meet me part way in order to resolve the matter in a way I find acceptable
Good and fast service with great communication
This ticket seller is a ripoff - it does not tell you outright you are buying resold tickets and you end up paying almost twice what they go for on *** even when they are available and not yet sold out

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/05/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
This company buys a domain name that sounds like the venue you hope to see a show atIn my case, it was *** ***, and the web address was *** It makes it seem like the venue is selling the tickets, but you get redirected to their pageI was sold tickets at over twice the value of the ticket, and they don't even have them yetWhen I called customer service the same day, asking for a refund, I was told all sales were finalI then asked what would happen if they couldn't get the tickets I requested, and they said they would try to get comparable ticketsThis is essentially a ticket scalping website that actively tries to deceive the consumer with the web address
Complaint: ***While the business and I came to a resolution (a partial refund of $200), their response to this complaint is and I saw our resolution as attempting to correct a wrong, rather than mere customer satisfaction.First, they do misrepresent themselves as affiliated with the venue The websites "td.gardenboxoffice.com" and "gardenboxoffice.com" return when you search the internet for TD Garden tickets These sites are actually Online City Tickets The banner at the top of the screen says "Boston Tickets," and the URL remains gardenboxoffice.com The process of selecting tickets and seeing prices occurs on this website When you click to purchase the tickets, it then reroutes to the Online City Tickets website. However, for customers searching for tickets, the website URL holds itself out as affiliated with the Garden via the URL text (td.garden and garden are contained in the URL; these are the name of the venue) As an aside, this likely contrary to Trademark laws depending upon whether the Garden has registered trademarks, and they should be notified that this company is using that website As a consumer, it's advertising Additionally, consumers won't necessarily notice when a URL changes if the look and feel of the webpage remains the same.As to the claim that there was a screen breaking down the price, I saw no such screen The tickets were referred to throughout the process by the location of the seats and -- $ I was not until after the payment had been entered that it was shown they were $each Meaning, any sort of breakdown of costs was not presented until after it was too late to cancel or select different seats. While I accepted the offered resolution, it was not with the understanding that the business was denying fault.Sincerely,*** ***
The ticket I bought was way overpriced

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/27) */
Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holdersWhile we do not own or generate tickets, we process thousands of successful orders each daySince
we function on a live market, and do not own the tickets sold, ticket options are constantly changing and on rare occasions, orders are affected and we do our best to provide an equivalent alternative in those instances
Ms*** contacted us for an update regarding her tickets shortly after the order was placedAt one point, connection was lost and the call was abandonedMs*** called back right away and spoke with one of our senior customer service agentsAt this time, we explain that her tickets were no longer availableMs*** was assured that if she still wishes to attend the event, we could secure replacement tickets for her at no extra costWe offered the best replacement option available being as the event was for the same day and ticket options were limitedThe offer was accepted and tickets were provided for the eventOur management team reached an amicable resolution with Ms*** and we encourage her to contact us with any further questions or concerns regarding her order

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionWe take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Ms*** concernsFirst, however, we should explain our side of the issue
OnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThe nature of our marketplace means that we must ensure our policies are fair to both parties, and so we maintain an "all sales are final" policy
This policy is clearly marked on every checkout page with the statement: "All sales are final," above a check box that customers must click to signify their understanding of our terms and complete their orderAdditionally, every checkout page presents a detailed order breakdown, which ends with the total charge displayed in bolded textThis total is restated at the bottom of the page; below the aforementioned sales terms, and above a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms*** clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order
Shortly after placing her order, Ms*** contacted one of our agents to cancelDue to an error on our end, this agent informed her that her order could be cancelled, and that the charges could be reversedWe apologize for the resulting confusion--and so, while such a reversal is normally against our sales terms, we have decided to honor our previous statement and issue a full refund of Ms*** orderWe pride ourselves on outstanding customer service, and trust that this will be a satisfactory resolutionWe consider this issue closed
Thank you,
OnlineCityTickets
The process to order *** *** tickets in Greenville,SC was so easy AJ helped me He was polite, patient and the process went smoothly
Complaint: ***
A zero tolerance return policy points to an unethical business. What honest business cannot cancel an order after minutes of placing an order, and if the business has the ability to withhold the product? After numerous requests to cancel an order, Online City Tickets will NOT cancel an order, they just throw the book at you like you should have read the fine print The average consumer is not on the lookout for opportunistic alternative ticket sellers. He/she is simply wanting to buy tickets, at the ticketed price. Small fine print on the sidelines of a website is not a good enough warning. The consumer needs to actually click a button of acceptance that clearly states that Online City Tickets is not affiliated with the venue, and that Online City Tickets charges fees over and above the ticketed price. Paypal did not rule in favor of Online City Tickets. Paypal did not rule that the charge was unauthorized, is allThere must be something not right about the way this business conducts business if there are numerous customer complaints on various websitesOnline City Tickets had the ability to cancel the tickets, because the link to download the tickets was disabled during the Paypal dispute. After I alerted them that the Paypal case was closed, then they enabled the link again. Why they cannot cancel the order if they have that ability does not make sense. The event is MONTHS away. It’s because they took your money unfairly and don’t want to give it backI felt ripped off when I realized that I could buy tickets for a maximum of $directly from the venue, yet I paid over $eachThis case is not closed. I feel that this business is conducting business unfairly to the consumer, and this business should be penalized for taking advantage of people.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I have contacted customer service twice, and I had been assured a call back from a superior which I still have not receivedI maintain my assertion that this business is engaging in fraud in their fulfillment of this order, and indirectly dealing with this issue.
Sincerely,
Jessica ***
Service charge is very high and I will only be receiving the tickets a day before the concert even though I paid three months in advanced
I will follow up after the event and update how the process was

Thank you for your response regarding Mr*** concernsOnline City Tickets maintains that our checkout process -- which did display ticket prices and quantity, all fees, and the total charge for Mr*** order prior to purchase -- was sufficient opportunity for Mr*** to review all relevant informationAfter being shown this information, Mr*** proceeded to enter his payment details and check the box to accept our Sales Terms and Conditions and agree that all sales are final; upon submitting his order, it was then immediately confirmed by the sellerAt this point, we are unable to refund Mr*** as we do not own or generate any tickets; we merely facilitate the transactions between buyers and sellersThe ticket seller has not violated any of our Terms, so we cannot void the transaction. Although Mr*** continues to press forward regarding his conversation with our customer service agent, we have addressed this matter thoroughly in our previous three responses and maintain that we did not advise selling on venue premises on the day of his event. Rather, we simply suggested that he could resell his tickets to friends or family or through an online ticket resale marketplace. Though he was not entitled to a refund per the Terms and Conditions to which he agreed at checkout, we were in contact with Mr*** in an attempt to reach some amicable resolution; however, our offer was declinedWe trust that we have sufficiently addressed Mr*** concerns raised here and in his previous complaint to the Revdex.com, number ***We have also addressed a dispute that Mr*** filed with his financial institution, which was ultimately ruled in our favor on 10/If Mr*** has any further questions or concerns regarding this order, we encourage him to contact our customer service team. Regards, Online City Tickets
