Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have faxed over the required documents to the Revdex.com since the number that Monroe's Auto Shop did not work It cost me an additional $to fax those documents This brings the total to $rounded out I will expect to see no less than $credited to my account by September 16, or Attorney [redacted] will be taking over this matter.Regards, [redacted]
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me In addition, Id like to add that the local market manager Armondo, did not react in a polite or respectful manner when speaking to my daughter He simply stated "We dont do business like that" when asked if there was surveillence as to whether my car was driven into the bay, Armondo stated "No, there are no cameras"My daughter then stated that he basically "asked" the shop what happened and took their word on what happened and totally disregarded my daughter Armondo failed to offer any kind of resolution, but instead kept asking "What do you want me to do?" This whole experience has been the most unprofessional and unjust I hope that no one else will have to go through what I went throughWord of advice, get rid of Armondo, and the lying crew at this location and install camerasAt this point, there is nothing anyone can do, because it just a case of "He said, she said"Im done Regards, [redacted]

This letter is in response to the complaint from [redacted] , # [redacted] According to our Store Manager, when the technician found the tie rods were loose, Mr [redacted] was invited into the garage to be shown why the tie rods were in need of replacementMr [redacted] declined our offer to be shown the condition of the tie rods, stating that he trusted the diagnosis at which point he gave his approval for the work to be performedTie rods need to be on the vehicle in order to properly test whether they are in need of replacement or not and you cannot tell just by looking at the part while it’s outside of the vehicleOur shop was more than happy to show Mr [redacted] why the tie rods needed to be replaced, but he was not interested at the timeAt this point we are not able to show him how the tie rods were loose and I will not be authorizing a refund based upon the opinion of Mr [redacted] ’s friendI will not be moving forward with the refund that Mr [redacted] has requestedThank you for your time, Kyle P [redacted] Customer Service Manager

Point blankHis response states that he did in fact at some point offer a higher value on my trade, while raising the price of the advertised priceWhich in my opinion is not fairHe also does not mention a return call was ever granted to my escalationHe states my vehicle isn't worth the value I think it is, yet he has the exact same model and year with more mileage selling on the lot for $39k, while he's offering me $30k for mine with 6k less in milesI understand clearly that my business is not even a simple return call and that you either make a killing on the trade or on the car priceThe sales rep did tell me that $39k "was the price before negotiations would take place", so BMW SA does nego with people but me? Maybe if I looked more the part of a BMW customer and I was NOT minority I would receive the type of smooth transaction my Caucasian coworkers received hereWell, go ahead and close out the ticketI have spoken to the sales manager over at bmw austin and I will be making the drive there to purchase this vehicleNumber dealership in the country is more like San Antonian loyalty to the brand and lack of options to buy BMW's in San Antonio than "great service". Typically on the sale of used cars we price them in accordance to the equipment available with the car I.Ekey, no floor mats, ETCObviously the increase in the sale of electric cars has created a new dilemma in the charging cables that most dealerships have not dealt with including usWhile I
don't believe in any way *** mislead you in getting the cable from the previous owner she was not able to do soThe car was not priced with us purchasing the cable as it was a trade assist vehicle for BMW we do not price those cars with profit typically they are sold as a loss as we are just trying to help a current customer out of a car for whatever reasonRetail on the cable is $and our cost is around $as a token of good will would you be willing to pay $and I will pick up the rest and wash your car when you come to pick it up?If this is agreeable please reach out to *** *** *** as we will have to order the cable we currently do not have any in stock. Thanks*** ***
Car is currently in our shop with the situation being rectified!

There is no maintenance coverage on tires written or impliedTires are not covered by BMW even with warranty defects however they are covered by the tire manufacturer if a defect is foundTires are a wear item and are the responsibility of the lessee for every manufacturer I have ever worked
with. I really don't even know how to respond to this complaint as I would always try and offer help on any reasonable request.

I am rejecting this response because:I am quite appalled by this response because, this is a vehicle purchased from BMW of San Antonio and made by BMWMy car has only been serviced at BMW, and according the the records shown to me I have been the only owner besides BMWMoreover, the issues that I have experienced do not at all appear to been minor to me because they were potential threats to my lifeFirst, oil is combustible, it will catch on fireImagine if it would've caught on fire while I was drivingYou state that someone may have overtightened the oil cap gasket, however, that directly contradicts the statement made by your service advisor that someone forgot to replace it and the invoice that I received from you all stating that it had separatedAdditionally, you acknowledge that you all should have done more to my tires besides putting air in it on the very first day that I purchased itStatistically, it is highly plausible that the I was sold a car with a tire that was already faultyTherefore, I feel it is on BMW of San Antonio to replace the tire. Also, as far as simply replacing the battery as a goodwill courtesy, you also acknowledge that this occurred less than 1,miles after purchasing this vehicle and according to my invoice from BMW of San Antonio it was covered under a bad battery warranty code which indicates that it was not simply good will, but in fact covered by the car's warranty. Moreover, you should also know that AC is quintessential in San Antonio and again it faulting in model is quite alarmingNow, on top of waiting 2-days for an appointment I received a text message from the service advisor *** *** stating that there are no loaner cars for me, even though I requested oneTherefore, I can drop the car off and take a shuttle, wait, or rescheduleLuckily I am a teacher, so I do not have work in the summer-however, I requested a loaner because I need a loanerI also do not anticipate this being a quick fix.In your statement you also mention that I can have the car appraised and traded on your lot, well how is this any different from me going to Mercedes of Chevrolet and simply trading the car in? Essentially, going this route will give your lot more revenueI am in the process of buying a home, so I have been very purposeful in how I have been handling inquiries of my credit reportTherefore, opening a new line of credit is not on my agendaOverall, I am quite disappointed and unsatisfied with your responseIt appears to be an underlying non-concern for customer safety and carBoth of my parents were military and they have had BMWs since before I was bornI know how a BMW should operate, especially new onesNever have I ever seen or heard of them experiencing such issuesI will also be expressing my concerns to BMW of North America so that they can determine whether or not the issues with a car that they manufactured is relevant.

After reviewing with my shop foreman and service manager everything on the attached documents shows that we followed every single protocol for the repairs as designed by BMWWhile I empathize with Mr*** for the number of repairs in a short amount of time all of the repairs were
necessary and were diagnosed correctlyMany times especially in severe climate states (Texas is one) time not miles is more damaging to a carEspecially when you are talking about things that are affected by heat (Catalytic system) and cold starts if a car is driven in town but has many starts and stops.Diagnostic charges are part of the repair and are always itemized separately on the Repair OrderMr. *** authorized these charges on each visit. The car came in not starting and the technician ran all the proper test plans to show that the starter was badOnce the starter was replaced the car did start but intermittently which required the replacement of the CAS system (ignition) and that removed the intermittent no startBoth repairs were needed to fix the car.The next repair was the dash light fault code showing an issue with the catalytic converter which required significant disassembly and running of the test plan (hours worth of time) all in accordance with BMW repair guidelinesAttached documents has the entire test plan that was run on the carAgain we had two necessary repairs that needed to be completed that although related to one another the mass air flow sensor only showed and issue past miles of test drive due to needing to get up to temperature.Again I understand and am empathetic to Mr*** situation but we did everything above board in the best interest of performing a roper repair on the car.Sincerely*** ***General Manager BMW of San Antonio
