Ms. [redacted] has a simple interest loan contract with American Credit Acceptance as mentioned in the initial response to the Revdex.com. The principal balance and the payoff on the loan can differ because the payoff includes both the principal balance and any accrued interest. The principal balance is the amount on which interest is calculated on the loan. The accrued interest is added to the balance which would then be the total payoff amount due on the loan. In this case, with the $11,297.40 principal balance and an interest rate of $26.81%, interest will accrue at $8.29 per day. The current payoff as of 10/12/2016 is $11,446.77 and will increase each day by $8.29. When a payment is made on the account, the payment is applied to any accrued interest first. Any remaining funds will then be applied to the principal, thus reducing the principal balance. The interest per day is then recalculated, based on the new, lower principal balance. As the principal balance decreases, so will the daily interest amount. If Ms. [redacted] chooses to pay the loan off today, she would pay interest only for the time the loan was opened. ACA applies payments in the following order: interest, principal until current, fees (if any), and any remaining amount to the principal. If Ms. [redacted] were to pay off her balance in full today, she would need to pay a total of $11,446.77. This figure is comprised of her principal balance of $11,297.40, plus the $149.37 in interest which has accrued since her last payment was made on 9/24/2016. When customers request a payoff quote, we give them a 10-day payoff figure, to allow 10 days for the payment to be sent and applied to the account. If the payoff is received prior to the end of the 10-day period, any excess amount will be refunded to the customer. The 10-day payoff amount for this account is $11,529.75. This figure is comprised of her principal balance of $11,297.40, plus the $232.35 that will accrue on the account between 9/24/2016 and 10/22/2016 (10 days from now). good afternon,I have tried calling them back and have emailed them since contacting you to find out if I was allowed to. When I do call, the number they provided just rings and rings. There is no voicemail or answering machine. I do work and only have limited times I can contact as I do not truly get a lunch brake at work and have tried both before and after work. I have also emailed them asking what time they are available and told them about it just ringing and ringing.Thank you,[redacted]

payments have been applied correctly. Ms. [redacted] has a simple interest loan with ACA, and factors such as paying late, late fees, repossessions, and extensions can affect how much interest accrues on the account and how much of each payment is available to pay down principal. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
My contract does state that correct, but still accrue the same amount of fiancé charge if I pay on time or late. Example. When I make a regular payment of 459.00 about $289.03 goes to principal and 170.29 goes to interest. When I made a late payment of $505.25 about 295.99 went to principal and 136.58 when to interest. So once again it is not adding up. This contract is not fully explained to its customers. At time of sale is expressed that you pay by what's on the contract under the today nets payments and price. American credit is ripping off its clients with underlining charges and contract information.

complaint. In regard to not receiving statements, ACA mailed statements to the address listed on the contract and the application he completed when he applied for the loan. There was no indication that an alternate address existed and apparently, statements were not forwarded to that address. ACA does make courtesy phone calls when a customer becomes delinquent, but these calls are not required. ACA confirmed with Mr. [redacted] prior to ACA acquiring the loan that the first monthly payment was due on 8/3/2017 and the amount of the payment.
