Before agreeing to installation I asked them to make sure our gutters were in good shapeThere's no use putting gutter guards on bad guttersI was told by Buddy [redacted] they were perfectly fineAfter the first rainfall we found they leaked immediatelyThey did not leak before Leaf filter did their workI called or times to complain, they came out each time to seal the gutters and promised each time it would workIt hasn'tThey promised first thing this spring they would fix the problem - this after I got the buffalo News involvedthey cancelled times before finally coming outWhen they finally came they called Michael [redacted] ( Installation Director) and he told me my gutters were deterioratingThey are aluminum, they don't rustAgain they were asked before installing their product if the gutters were okayThe contract states they would seal gutter with yr silicone and that they would repair damaged gutters.
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Yes the work was completed they did offer a compensation But on Monday 8/29/a gentleman came out to inspect the work as my gutters needed to be repitched as they do not drain well and it was stated to me on Saturday Aug 27th that they were fine I am waiting for a response from Leaf Filter as to when the work will be corrected I am planning to call them to day to see if they have a plan of action to correct the gutters.Regards, [redacted]
Originally submitted this form to wrong company site
Am resubmitting because company is not out of business, I have a business card from this site
They stated upon payment that they would resolve an issue with one of the gutters they put on if our roofers felt it should be changed
I have sent several emails and have had no response.
We would like the gutter fixed/changed
They have received payment and we are not satisfied
They need to fix this issue
We are scheduled for service on 12/10/19.
October 11, 2019 we sent certified letters to the owner of LeafFilters Matthew *** and another employee. As of November 14, 2019 we have had no response. The videos and pictures we have of this failed product will now be post on social media for viewing.
We had the LeafFilters installed on June 12, 2019, and as of November 2019 we are still waiting to have major installation problems corrected. Purchasing this product has turned out to be a nightmare and we wish that we would have saved our money and simply paid a handyman to clean out our gutters.
When we signed our contract we believed that the installers would be LeafFilter employees not poorly trained sub-contractors. The first crew that came to our home was looking to pad their wallets by re-pitching our perfectly aligned gutters that never held water. Not only were the gutters re-pitched incorrectly, but they also damaged my roof and fascia boards. Despite my frequent and strong objections the installers just kept saying, "Don't worry this will not cost you more money. We get paid more when we have to re-pitch gutters." When we were sold this product we were told that they would clean the gutters out, and do a water check to see if the pitch was correct. The water check was never completed; the installer just changed the pitch against our wishes.
After many phone calls an inspector came and looked over the job. He said it needed to be redone and took many pictures. A second crew came on August 7th. This crew was comprised of LeafFilter employees who told us that all they have been doing is repairing work that was not done correctly. They had to redo the entire job and realign the gutters. This crew said that the product was not installed correctly and the gutters were re-pitched incorrectly.
After the second crew left we were hopeful the problems were corrected. We still have one gutter on the front of our house that is severely damaged and still not functioning correctly. This gutter is bent so badly and pulled away from the house so far that when it rains we have a waterfall between the fascia board and gutter. We can see that the flashing is behind the gutter. You can look up and see sky between the house and the gutter. We have taken pictures and videos of the waterfall we have when it rains. If not corrected, in the winter we are going to have major icing problems. We had our first heavy snow fall on October 31. 2019, when the snow started to melt we had water between the fascia boards and gutter dripping onto our driveway leaving ice on the cement. The rest of the gutters all have icicles hanging and dripping.
Additionally on the inward corner of the roof when it rains the water flies over the gutter a good two feet onto the patio and does not drain into the gutter at all. When we asked about that we were told that was normal, and there is nothing to do about it during heavy rain. This is not what we were told when we purchased the product and it is unacceptable.
We were scheduled for another crew to come and fix our gutters on October 8, 2019. The crew was a no call/no show to do the repair.
I am a very disappointed customer that will have to pay another company to come and replace my gutters. At this point LeafFilter product will be removed with the damaged gutters.
Having this product installed on my home wasted my time and money, caused damage to my home, and caused personal aggravation and stress.
Hi Richard - It's our goal to ensure every customer is completely satisfied. We will have someone follow up with your experience.
I signed a contract with *** representing LeafFilter North of Wisconsin on 3 August 2019 for installation of filter on house gutters. I must be present when filters are installed. If I cancel the contract, I must pay LeafFilter 25% of the $4,600.00 contract ($1,150.00). Installation was rescheduled a minimum of five times. 2 contractors for LeafFilter have arrived at my house and completed 3 small segments of filters on my gutters . LeafFilter has now cancelled the contract.
We sent the customer a message on 11/11 stating the contract has been canceled.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
LeafFilter signed a contract to install their product on my gutters. By signing the contract, I assumed they are a reputable company and would fulfill the terms of the contract. I had to remain on site six days waiting for LeafFilter to arrive and install their product. Installers either did not show up, or arrived and did not complete the job.
LeafFilter installed three small segment of filters on my gutters. Now LeafFilter says they can not honor their contract because of the pitch of my roof or the angle of my gutters. Either LeafFilter is untruthful concerning being able to complete the job, or have installed gutters that will not work.
Since the contract LeafFilter signed requires me to pay 25% of the contract price if I cancel the contract, I request LeafFilter pay me the $1,150 for their cancelling the contract.
Regards
We installed some easier runs before encountering what couldn't be done. We called and spoke to the customer about this. Please close this dispute

On 7/21/19 a wind storm dropped part of a tree on my gutters that Leaf Filter installed along with the Leaf Filter system. I filed a claim with mu insurance company and once I received the check contacted Leaf Filter Service Dept and a Rep came out on Aug 19th. Since that time it has been very difficult to get on the schedule for repair and to get the actual repair done.
I was quoted 2340.00 for the repairs.
The following is my communications:

I have been scheduled for 2 repair dates:
Sep 24 my father and I were home all day no one called or showed up. I tried calling to find out what happen No Answer, I left a VM.
Nov 1 My father was home all day, no one called or showed up. That leads me to this complaint.
I had these gutters and filter system installed spring 2018. They work great. I just do not understand how when they need to be repaired I cannot get them repaired.
I explained I could have had the gutters fixed a long time ago with a local contractor but he does not want me to do that because leaf filter needs to do the work. Due to the leaf Filter System. If that is the case why can they not fix the repair the quoted me on.
I paid 8k to have these gutters and filter system installed and that is more than half paid for.
I am not one to not pay to have service done but why am I expected to pay 2340 when I cannot even get anyone on site to do any work.
I work for a Local Utility and I know the IMPORTANCE of good quality Customer Service and Repair. There is NONE in my case at this time. I feel I have been very patience with this and my patience is now gone. I am not going to call the numbers back and scream at anyone because I have been on the receiving end and once you get screamed at you loose interest in wanting to help the customer. That's why I am here.
I am ready top remove all the Leaf Filter out of the gutters and they can have them back.
We believe resolution has been executed in full.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
After filing my complaint I received a call on Nov 5. I was not able to answer (at work), they called my father and explained they would be out on the 6th to do the repairs.
Just about all the work was complete. The gutters and leaf filter were replaced. The down spout which was apart of the quote (2340) was not replaced.
There was no adjusting the price of the quote even though it took 3 months to get on the schedule for the repairs to be done and a down spout not being repaired.
I believe 400 off my quote would be fair. NO ONE should have to work so hard to just try and get of hold of someone just to get on a schedule. NO ONE should have to file a complaint with the Revdex.com to get results.
At this time I have no reason to accept Leaf Filters resolution to the matter and at this time I highly would not recommend their services to anyone.

We have received the customers complaint and will be reaching out to the customer for resolution.
We were sold leaf filter product along with downspouts and installation. We were informed that a crew would come and install; and we were informed the crew would be confidant, know the product and know what was necessary to complete installation as discussed during the sales. The salesman created a detailed document to inform the crew which downspouts to replace and in which direction they should point as well as any other information the installers would need. The salesman also informed that there would be no reason for us, the property owners to be onsite, as it was outside work and he created detailed information/documentation. Also, we the property owners informed the salesman we would be happy to wait for the installation, however, he persisted that the crew currently needed some jobs; as the other jobs were scheduled out. It was the salesman that picked the date of install and insisted all would be well.
Our sales document states the approx.start and completion date to be 8.15.2019.
In reality, the company cancelled that date and rescheduled to 8.31.2019.
We were confused as that was Labor Day Weekend and why would they work that Saturday, but, again this was all on the company. On the day of service, one man arrived to do the work. This individual had several questions about how the downspouts were to be installed. This man also only worked a couple hours stating he did not have all the supplies and would need to come back next week to finish.
Complaint 1: The man who did the install, each day he was at the house, he kept waking myself, the owner, I was trying to sleep as I work 3rd shift, but he had constant questions as to which way the downspouts were supposed to go. He stated he had problems reading the diagram.
Urgent Complaint 2: The downspouts were ultimately put on incorrectly. We believed the installer would know what he was doing. We believed the original salesperson that a crew would come and the job would be done in a day.
Now the downspouts are leaking. The downspouts were connected incorrectly as they are not flowing into each other. Also, one of the downspouts is disconnecting on the top elbow after the last snowfall and as the snow is melting.
We have 4 downspouts that need to be fixed and replaced as these new downspouts are damaged due to installer. The water is leaking at the top and we are concerned for damage to our house including concern about water leaking into the basement. Several of the downspouts have at the area of connection, an opening, as the one part of the downspout was crunched into the other part. The product itself is damaged from the installer.
NOTE: after several calls a representative from Leaf Filter came out to our house and checked the work/ product and agreed the downspouts were not installed correctly.
Please Understand: We have called numerous times since he came and inspected the work to no avail. The company is no longer answering the phone when we call and the company is not contacting us as to when this situation will be fixed.
We have a payment plan and we are paying for the product and service even though it is not correctly completed.
We are scheduled for service today 11/8
We serviced the customer on 11/13/19. We believe resolution has been executed in full.

Revdex.com:
Leaf-filter finally did send someone to complete the incorrectly installed downspouts. This person only fixed 3 of the 4 downspouts which had been incorrectly installed.
However, I will fix the final downspout myself as this company is not dependable.
The final downspout did not have a proper sized area created from the gutter so the downspout so it could be appropriately attached. This is the downspout that actually had split when after a melting snow and then it turned to ice. So, at that time I already had needed to make some fixes to the area as Leaf filter was not coming out to our home in a timely manner.
Leaf filter product - is a good product or I would not have purchased it. However, the sales seems to be faulty in that promises of a full and knowledgeable crew for the installation did not happen. Corrections to the original installers mistakes did not happen after several attempts at contacting the business until finally going through the Revdex.com. And then still the corrections were not fully completed.
We are extremely displeased with this companies representation of themselves and the actual physical labor with the work. The product is fine.
Regards
They took advantage of my elderly mother-in-law opening a credit card with a $8800 limit without her knowledge and authorization. Claimed it was a "misunderstanding". Now have to lock down her credit, cancel the card, and monitor for other credit fraud. Wells Fargo and the police are investigating. Why would any sales person ask for ssn and bday for someone who was going to pay cash? Identity theft that's why. Stay far away from this ROTTEN company.
David, thank you for reaching out. I will get this to a manager and make them aware.
Had LeafFilter come out to give us a bid. $9,900. Then, "We have a coupon for 15% off", Now only $8,415.00 he says. Then, the sales pressure tactic came in, "If you sign today, we'll do it for $6,900". That's another 18% off the last price. I wont do business with any company that employs these gross up the price and then discount it back down to a still very inflated price tactics. Felt like was beig duped from the start.
I suspect that's still like $3,000 too high for a screen to keep leaves out of gutters. Home Depot has basically the same stainless steel screens for about $1000 plus my labor to install.

The problem is been the poor quality of the installation of the gutters and leaf covers. The first time it was done (Sept. 27/28, 2019) when it rained water was pouring out like a water fall. They attempted to fix it (Oct. 14) and once again water continues to pour out. The poor quality of the installation is evident. The fascia is exposed and the leaf covers are tilted instead of laying flat on top of the gutters. All this is in front of the house. I am already paying for a job that hasn’t resolved the previous problem that I was dealing with my home before filling a contract with LeafFilter and that’s protecting the foundation of my home. They schedule me again for an inspection (that was supposed to be done right away after trying to fix the problem) for November 5. I don’t feel this matter is been taking care of in a serious professional manner. I really don’t know what the outcome will be by filling this complaint but I for sure need help in making sure the monetary investment in this project is not worthless. In advance I thank you for all you do and look forward to hearing from you.
We are scheduled to go to the customers home today 11/5/19

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is unfortunate that I have to continue to seek advice from the Revdex.com of Wisconsin due to the complaint not being resolved. Yesterday, Nov. 05, 2019 the person assigned to come to my premises did not show up and this is even after I had called on Nov. 4, 2019 around 9:00 am to confirm visitation. I took a half day off from work because they gave me a window of 1pm to 5pm. I started to get worried about 2:30 pm and called the customer service department to check up on the status of the visit and they wouldn't pick up the phone. I called more than four times, left a message and they never responded or called me back.

On November 12, 2019 the compony sent some workers to service my home (gutters repair). The appearance of the gutters looks much better than the first two times. But, at this time its difficult to know if the resolution was executed in full due to the fact that its been snowing and not raining. Therefore, I don't know if I will not be facing the same problem with the water pouring over the gutters and creating a water fall in front of my home. I hope we get rain here before we begging winter at a full blast. In the event that it does rain before the year is over I will get back to you to let you know if the resolution has been executed in full. Until then thank you all for helping to solve the problem.

We had a sales manager visit our home to tell us about their product. his name was Arnie W***. After about 2 hrs of telling us about their product I said no. he was very pushy and asked us about our home and wanted to see our home inside. My husband took him around. I still said no! this morning I looked up the business on BBB. I cannot understand why they have a A+ rating. please do not do business with this company! Negative experience! They were here on Tuesday May 8 at 7PM.
After being install in 12/16 we had the same issues all last year with the gutters leaking and overflowing. They came out several times and the same issues kept occurring. I filed a complaint last year after getting fed up with the same thing continually occurring. After filing the complaint Mike [redacted] from the Corporate office called me and I agreed to one last attempt. I told him if this didn't work he would receive a call from me in the spring and we would want our money back. This last attempt took place in December (I believe). I called Mr. [redacted] on 5/7/17 @10:10 and told him nothing had changed. He said he would have to start the warranty process. Don't know what that is , but said okay and that I hoped he wasn't giving me the run-around. On 6/6/18 @ 9:17 I called to get an update. I left a message asking for him to call me with an update. No response. I did the same on 6/14 @ 12:28 and 6/21 @ 9:29. I have still heard nothing.
My wife and I contracted with Leaffliter to install their product on Jun 26,2019. and they started installation on July 2,2019. A couple weeks later it was determined that we needed a new roof as the new gutters/Leaffilters did not solve our rain leakage on our back porch. The roofer *** of West Salem, WI told us that that gutters had to come off first. We called Leaffliter to have the gutters removal and that was scheduled on Aug 22, 2019. The persons who were scheduled to remove the gutters/leaffliters did not show up. We finally got ahold of Leaffliter that the persons scheduled to remove the Leaffliter could not come because their wife was involved in a car accident. We informed Leaffliter the important of having this done soon and we were told they had no one available for at least a month or more. We contacted *** who was a subcontractor who installed Leaffilter, they informed us that they no longer worked for Leaffliter due to lack of payment for service rendered. We ended up hiring a local contractor to correctly remove the Leaffliter product and gutters. This was done Aug 23, 2019. We called Leaffliter to inform them that this was done. We than scheduled for Leaffliter to reinstall the gutters/Leaffilters on Sept 11,2019, to retain our LIFETIME Warranty. After the roof was installed on Aug 26, 2019. On the Sep 11, 2019 a person came with a work order to take the Leaffliter OFF and not too reinstall. He would not reinstall the gutters or Leaffliter product. We have tried time and time again to contact Leaffliter but have little no help solving this, they will not returned our calls. Today we did contact them and spoke to *** who transferred us to ***. She would send a Email the Leaffliter in Wisconsin as she was unable to contact them also
We are scheduled for 10/10/19.

My Dad didn't call me first, but he shouldn't have to...Why can't trust people not to rip off our Family....this stuff is junk, it's all over the internet the product is junk.. I want my Dads money back ....I am outraged and disgusted by the way these people do business and they must be exposed.

Individual (Dennis ***) comes by looks at my needs and then gives me a quote which I accept and sign on Jun 15, 2019.
Three different individuals come by to look at what is to be done. They all talk about special needs due to the copper gutters and it could be a few days until the necessary materials are received.
I finally receive a call and was told that they couldn't do it and recommended that I pay someone to clean my gutters.
I later gave a bad rating and was contacted by a representative of the company for more information so they could investigate. I gave them the same information including a contract # ***.
Don't know what was done but I've never received any information, etc.

from Leaf Filter came to my house and gave me an estimate to install the gutter guards. The price was very high and I turned the offer down. *** text me a few days later and said he could give me up to 50% discount. We agreed on $1500 to get the guards installed. He said they would most likely install the next week sometime. I have emailed *** and text *** with no answer. On Monday August 27, I missed a call from *** () and tried to call him back. The number he called me on does have voice mail but it is full. If I cancel the contract, I have to pay 25% of the total which is $375. I think at this time I would like to get my contract cancelled without payment. I think that they don't have any customer service and the install service is very poor. I also think that this is a scam because of the discounted price

the Installation of the gutters and roof skirt was bad. It is pushing up my shingles. The gutter corners are not tight against the gutters so there is leaking at the seams. The LeafFilter’s are at different levels. The leaffilters are screwed into the back of the gutter skirts at almost every panel.
The installer was rude and actually yelled at us during initial install .... indicating that we were bothering him. Due to us pointing out issues.
We are scheduled for service today 7/24/19.
