A total waste of money
Paid over $9,000 for the "top of the line" gutter filters from Leaf Filter. Within 2 months, leaves were collecting all over the tops of the filters AND sticking between the filters and gutters. I called Leaf Filter to ask what they were going to do about it. They sent out a guy with a little bitty blower who got up and blew off what he could get to. When asked how that was going to resolve a potential long term problem, his response was "well, that's where (Leaf Filter sales) they get you". In other words, it doesn't. So I called to speak with a manager of the office where we purchased the Leaf Filters and was told he would call back. HE NEVER DID. I then proceeded to continue calling to no avail, I sent emails to no avail and eventually contacted BBB, Consumer Protection AND my state Attorney General's office. I wanted Leaf Filter to come remove their "filters" and reimburse me. Nothing ever came of anything until yesterday when I took photos of my 74 year old husband up on a ladder removing leaves from the leaf filter and began posting those photos on every website that I could think of. I also found out that there has been a class action lawsuit filed against Leaf Filter. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options for previous purchasers. $200 is the best you can get and that is only for reimbursement if you've hired someone to remove leaves or for three future incidences if you hire someone to do so. I don't know of anyone who will come out three times for $200, climb a ladder and clean gutters. So basically, if you purchased Leaf Filters, you are pretty much screwed on EVER seeing any resolution for money back or anything else but hopefully enough bad reviews and this suit will shut them down.

Management is Non-Existent
I had Leaf Filter installed and had a number of complaints. Found out they DO NOT have a service Department -- only installers. Their advertisements are not complied with.
1. PUT YOUR LADDERS AWAY. What a joke! In order to reach one section that WAS Clogging with leaves you had to walk on the roof. How do you get there?
2. WE WILL LEVEL AND ADJUST YOUR PRESENT GUTTERS. Another example of FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. In order to have gutters flow to the downspout they installed a second downspout that was NOT code compliant. I had to pay for another contractor to correct the situation. WHY? Because they would not admit to the problem.
3. NEVER HAVE TO CLEAN LEAVES FROM YOUR GUTTERS. Another false advertisement. The low area on my gutter collected water and leaves on the leaf filter which "rotted out" a section of my roof. Cost $1300 to repair. You cannot talk to anyone from Corporate or Local. All they will do send out a Serviceman who admitted the installation was bad.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM LEAF FILTER!

The whole job was installed incorrectly. Now that I've said that let me add that LeafFiler sent their inspector to check out my complaint. When he was leaving he said he agreed saying "I couldn't find much done correctly either, the whole job needs to be redone". That was 3 months ago and over 7 missed appointments to get the job done. Some of those without even a phone call to notify me. Here is a list of some of the issues and I will attach some pics so you can see for yourself:
Pitch is wrong
Drop is wrong
Gutters are bent
Screens are twisted and bent
Screens installed at an angle outside of the gutters
Downspout installed without elbows
White zip hinges installed on brown gutters
(installer told be where I COULD BUY PAINT to make them match)
Downspout pieced together with two short pieces
There is more but you get the idea my nightmare started in 06/22; its now the end of 09/22. RUN AWAY... Save yourself!

Total rip off
Fast talking salesman, cheezie installers, and WAY OVERPRICED. I'm disabled on a small income, and they knew it but stuck it to me good. RUN away from them.

Now its rained and the water rolls over these micro filters like a ball. I feel sick about this. They are done guessing how to fix .

Complaint - Excuses vs Service
Inquired about getting product installed - met with salesman and obtained a quote and set install date. I took day off from work for which I do not get paid to accommodate their time window. Got a call day of install advising they had a mechanical issue with their cutter and had to reschedule. We rescheduled, I took another day off only to get a call the day of the install to advise the installer had mechanical trouble with his truck and could not make it. Being moved to afternoon as there was another installer in my area. Frustrating but ok. Got a call a few hours later saying sorry, installer is stuck on the project and will not be able to make it to me today that I would need to reschedule. So unprofessional and unacceptable. I cancelled the order.

Very Poor Customer Service
I've had my LeafFilter about three years. Last winter I started having water from my rain gutter, drip on my deck, then freeze and create a slick spot in front of the door. This summer, during a rain storm I notice water running over the edge of the gutter on the end with the down spout.
I called customer service an asked them to come and check it out. They set up a time for a service tech to come and he never showed for the appointment. I call once a week for several weeks and finally one Saturday a tech showed up out of the clear blue. He did a great job taking pictures and checking thing out and said the system was installed improperly and needed to be redone at no cost to me.
Another tech texted me a week later and we setup an appointment for him to come. He never came. I sent him a text asking when he would reschedule. He was very apologetic and said LeafFilter sent him a different direction. He had made the appointment not LeafFilter. I believe because mine was a warranty job there was no money in it for LeafFilter and so they sent him elsewhere. I haven't heard from LeafFilter or a tech since and don't know if the warranty work will ever be done. I am very disappointed with the Very Poor Customer Service from LeafFilter.

I have to modify my above review. Since it wrote it, the techs from LeafFilter showed up and recleaned the gutters, reinstalled the filter properly and calked the areas that hadn't been done before. They did a great job! I would change my above rating to at least a 3.5 or 4 star if this site would let me.

Hustle type Sale Tactics BEWARE
Quoted $7,437 and we said we
would think about it. She went to her car. Well then to doorbell rang, she spoke with her manager and could discount it by $2,000, since in the area or something like this. Well "Ok" - that was our error:-( Spoke with friends who used them in Storm Lake, IA and they laughed said same hustle; when they said they would wait, rep made call to manager and there was extra product in area from a job and the could do it for significantly less! What a joke. Then mentioned to my son that we were going to pay $5,687 for leaf filter on some existing gutters and one new gutter across front and new downspout on northside and he laughed "are you kidding, you guys aren't that old".
We are getting a local quote - more to come. But the kicker is, Leaf Filter states if we cancel we will be charged 25% of cancelled job, since we are cancelling too late. Oh ya! DO NOT BE AS NIEVE AS US! BEWARE OF LEAF FILTER! Make them wait and get your own quote.

Run From Leaf Filter - Pushy Saleman / Poor Service Work
** A must Read Complaint** We requested Leaf Filter come out a quote the leaf filter gutter protection system. My existing gutters were not in poor condition, however, they were dirty, uneven, detaching and required much needed service.

After a lengthy presentation of how great the company was and how This Old House has ranked them one of the best gutter companies in the US the presentation just kept going and going like some of these new shows on Netflix. They claim to use Leaf Filter vetted or qualified service installers. Finally I had to tell the salesman just tell me the cost. He provided a price of $6875.

dollars which is ridicules. I immediately told him that price is not going to happen here. Not for the liner foot I have, its way over priced and I have no trees around. The high pressure sales was to get me to buy something for immediate flex convenience fee lowering it to $4747.

This is just for their Leaf Filter patented system. No new gutters and down spouts, not new fascia etc. After declining everything and telling the salesman I am done, the pressure to sale something ended up a second offer to clean, realign, level and attachment my falling guttering system. Change 1 downspout end to a 45 degree kick out and install these leveling clips every 3-5 feet that supposed to place your gutter at the correct angle, remove the old spike nails from one gutter section installing new supports and the clips and chalk all ends and joints.

This quote went from $1433. to $1,183. Mind you I can get new seamless gutters under a thousand to twelve hundred dollars roughly. Why in the heck would I agree to anything they are offering.

His final act to get some sort of sale before he left was to offer all the companies service except installing the filter system for $916.00. I still was leery, however, $916.00 was somewhat reasonable for the services I thought they were going to provide so I would not have to do it myself. After not signing anything he said they would be in contact with me in a few days and send me the work order, but the service team would want to contact me also in a few days to perform the services. Before receiving the quote the salesman text me and said the service team would be on site the next day.

I have not even received the work order documentation yet. Finally I did but, I did not reply to the salesman about the appointment time because it was to short notice and we had to work and could not be there. That did not stop the service team from showing up and wanting to get started. Contrary to my instinct, I allowed them to perform their services unsupervised.
Here is what you need to know.

First they do not use they own service techs, They are all sub contractors. Not just one company, several. There take on cleaning my gutters as was to blow the gutters out, flinging roof aggrate all over the drive, my vehicle in the drive and patio and porch. They did a poor job cleaning the gutters leaving dirt and grime in several gutters, when confronted why they did not use water they claimed the calking would not stick.

So they may applied calk to 2-3 areas and globbed it on. They applied in over aggregate and dirt in those areas and it was not cleaned. It would have been better to wash it out and it was hot enough to dry fairly quickly or dry it up and apply calking correctly. They did not install the 45 degree end piece per the request.

They did not install the leveling clips every 3-5 feet throughout the gutter system. they installed some, maybe 6-10 throughout the whole system, not what they told me. If they flushed the gutters they could tell they that the downspout was clogged completely. When realigning the gutters they placed screws in some areas at angles that split the wood by blowing through the edge.

One area they pushed up on my roofing where it met the fascia and it detached the roof, leaving a 2 inch gap for rain to get in to cause damage. Some gutter areas had gaps where light could be seen where again water could leach back and cause water damage. None of this was brought to my attention. When complaining to the salesman the same day as the service work, all he said was ya , sounds like we need to get someone back out for sure.

A followup text after sending pictures was that he was trying to get service set up so I would not have to call friends at the call center.
They did send another service company out in which he determined they failed to clean the gutters correctly and the one downspout he checked was fully clogged. He could not perform the corrections due to timing but was willing to take a look and come back. I did not want him to bother and that I wanted to file a complaint. Needless to say, I refuse to pay the full payment and am going to require the company to adjust their rate to what they did do correctly.

I refuse to have them send another contractor to my home to fix what they should have done right the first time. Photo available and court is next.

DO NOT BUY LEAF FILTER GUTTER GUARDS THEY DO NOT WORK!
I spent over $5,000 installing leaf filter on my house and garage. They continue to clog, not the gutter, but the leaf filter itself fills with pine needles and of course they do not work.
I have called and they came out to clean them once, now they say I have to pay for the service. I have asked for a refund since the way it was sold to me was I would never have a clog again, and never have to clean them again, which is not true.

Had to call since the person was a no show for an estimate
I had to call the customer service line to inquire about my estimate as my appt was scheduled for 9am. I waited about 15-20 mins prior to calling their cusotmer service. The girl on the line was very nice. She had to contact their person . She noted he was running behind. He did give me a call but noted he was 30 mins out as he had overselpt.

I told him not to bother coming or rescheduling me as the first impression is everything

Looks like a good product, needed new gutters anyway. Price for a 2-story house seemed high (apx. $9,000) but slick salesman. Problems are service!
1) contract says price to be paid when work completed. I gave c.c. #when contract signed, however c.c. charged when work team arrived, NOT when completed.
2) They needed to use my electricity, this was NOT in contract either. So I'm charging company for my electric bill.
3) One of men needed to use my restroom. I shouldn't have let him in my house! What a mess.
4) One of the spout extensions was in wrong location, I had to put it on in correct place myself.
5) Most of debris cleaned up, BUT huge mess of pine needles from roof were left in big pile on ground next to house. I'll have to clean that up myself.
6) During job inspection I found several pieces of trash left around house!

Very Poor Customer Service and shouty maintenance/ install
It's been two weeks since I had new gutters and filter system installed. When the installers started putting up the new gutters they didn't have all the parts and didn't clean up their mess. The installers came back the next day installed everything and now I have heights on my down spouts and when they sealed the end caps the did a piss poor job sealant hanging down from the cap. Called to have the issues corrected and the manager stated he would have someone come out to inspect and repair the issues. The inspector came out looked the issue and said the manager would call about getting the issues fixed. I had to call the manager in which we agreed on a date and time to get the issues fixed. When they didn't show up I called the number no answer but the manager gave me his cell number during the first call. I called the manager to find out why they were a no show and he said I never talked with but he would find out why they didn't show up. When the manager called back I was told they were loading the truck with parts and should be on their way. 20 minutes later I get call from the scheduling manager telling me that I needed to reschedule because he didn't show my appointment in the computer. I told the scheduling manager I don't like to be lied to and explained what I was told, he just laughed. This company needs to learn and training on customer service and not making a profit. I can't even get a Regional Manager to call me back or any body in management!

Great job
Getting leaf filter was easy. They came out, we were given a rundown on the company. We were shown the product and how it all worked. The sales agent worked with us on getting pricing we could afford. He was very friendly and knowledgable. No pressure. When we said yes, we were scheduled for the following week. The installer was polite. He did the job like a professional. He did a great job with cleanup. As far as it stands today, I will recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank you Leaf Filter.

Bad product and poor workmanship, no warranty.
This is no doubt the worst so called quality Company I have ever dealt with. They sent one man to do my whole house in one day. He left that night after my using my tractor for lights.Needless to say the install was lousy. Then when we get a pretty heavy rain the water flowed down the valleys on the roof and can't get thou the fine screen fast enough so it dumps on the floor and is starting to rot a new door. One of their service people told me they had sections of the leaf filter that has the larger holes to handle larger volume of water at the valleys. They set up an appt. but never called or showed up. Now they have instructed the ladies that answered the phones that there is no problem with their product, It is in my roof design but after my request to speak with a manager he is aways on the phone and has never returned a call. I am a senior, retired, and a Vet. I paid these people over $6000 cash and they just laugh and flip you off. This is the kind of company that needs to be put out of businessI.
I just want to see if any Mgr. in this company has the guts to call me and resolve this simple problem or offer to refund my hard earned money.

takes advantage of senior citizens!
We had someone come out to the house for pricing on leaf guard . They walked around the house and we do not have any trees near the house. Now I kinda figured we did not need this but my beloved Old Navy disabled Vietnam vet wanted to make sure all bases were covered in our old age. Now we live on a very fixed income not a lot of money but will do what we have to to be safe. Well the gentlemen confirmed my thoughts but by the time he was thru telling us well, you dont need the guards but the gutters need to be adjusted for 2,850.00 other wise your house will rot and basically fall down around us. it was such a forceful hard sale my husband agreed and we got roped into taking a 2850. loan for this disgusting thing. someone came out put a few brackets up and 2850.00 later not happy at all and we really don't need this loan at out age.

Leaffilter is a scam!
I've had Leaf filter gutters since 2016 and they have had to do a service call every year after the Maple Tree helicopters stop falling. Last year we battled over a $95 service call to CLEAN MY GUTTERS of which I paid over $3,500.00 for so I wouldn't have to ever worry about cleaning them again! Well this year their standing pat on the $95 bucks for a service call. So now they leave no other option than to warn my neighbors and friends about Leaf Filter not standing up to their end of the contract! Why would anyone pay over $3,500.00 for gutter protection and then pay to have them cleaned every year!

I want My Deposit Back
If there was a company I could recommend the least, LeafFilter would be that company. The sales pitch is a very high pressure scam. I have more respect for a used car salesman. If you do not jump on their ridiculous offer at first they go straight to a 50% discount because it is the end of the month, it is Tuesday, or it's your lucky day. That's right 50% off from just 2 minutes ago. Kind of makes you wonder what is the real value of their product. After you sit through their long drawn out high pressure sales pitch they tell you not to worry because you have 3 days to cancel. After you give them a check they deposit your check as fast as humanly possible. Then when you wake the next day and realize you made a mistake, they will drag out for as long as possible in refunding your money. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made in a very long time.

On 6/15/22 your installation contractor, John from Rochester NY, arrived about 10:00 A.M. at our in our Wellsboro PA home. We had a huge set of gutters to clean, align and cover with your product. John is one of the best service individuals I have the pleasure to deal with in my 46 years of business. He was very diligent, respectful of the property and simply did an outstanding job. If your other subcontractors are as proficient and client oriented as John, my opinion of your company has been enhanced. Please pass along my gratitude to John for his professionalism and customer relations.

Yes I give my review they are bad people they came in your home to steal from you that’s they do now I need found someone to help with this people I paid almost 5 thousand and the problem still there I live in the townhouse I call they sent the technician then the manager call the name Lincoln they try to fix but I got to pay over 700 hundred more I refused they never call back I need found someone to take them out business

HELP
The men did the work and before the last one left we discovered the front storm door hit the gutter guard and could not open the worker said he would report this and someone would call or come here with in a day or 2. This is the 3rd day and no contact I called and left a message for a call back well no call back so I called a spoke to someone and was told someone would call me back soon well needless to say no call back. This is not what I expected to spend over 14,000 dollars and left with a unsafe entry to my home and not even getting a response come on people this is your responsibility to make it right,

They are slick scammers
They are above (they think) and Definitely do not respond or call back to any unlucky one that installs their system! Everyone needs to know how they are defrauding the public this should be illegal to do this to someone
I hope someone takes him to court and they have to pay back millions to people that they defrauded
