1. PUT YOUR LADDERS AWAY. What a joke! In order to reach one section that WAS Clogging with leaves you had to walk on the roof. How do you get there?
2. WE WILL LEVEL AND ADJUST YOUR PRESENT GUTTERS. Another example of FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. In order to have gutters flow to the downspout they installed a second downspout that was NOT code compliant. I had to pay for another contractor to correct the situation. WHY? Because they would not admit to the problem.
3. NEVER HAVE TO CLEAN LEAVES FROM YOUR GUTTERS. Another false advertisement. The low area on my gutter collected water and leaves on the leaf filter which "rotted out" a section of my roof. Cost $1300 to repair. You cannot talk to anyone from Corporate or Local. All they will do send out a Serviceman who admitted the installation was bad.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM LEAF FILTER!

There is more but you get the idea my nightmare started in 06/22; its now the end of 09/22. RUN AWAY... Save yourself!
Now its rained and the water rolls over these micro filters like a ball. I feel sick about this. They are done guessing how to fix .
I called customer service an asked them to come and check it out. They set up a time for a service tech to come and he never showed for the appointment. I call once a week for several weeks and finally one Saturday a tech showed up out of the clear blue. He did a great job taking pictures and checking thing out and said the system was installed improperly and needed to be redone at no cost to me.
Another tech texted me a week later and we setup an appointment for him to come. He never came. I sent him a text asking when he would reschedule. He was very apologetic and said LeafFilter sent him a different direction. He had made the appointment not LeafFilter. I believe because mine was a warranty job there was no money in it for LeafFilter and so they sent him elsewhere. I haven't heard from LeafFilter or a tech since and don't know if the warranty work will ever be done. I am very disappointed with the Very Poor Customer Service from LeafFilter.
I have to modify my above review. Since it wrote it, the techs from LeafFilter showed up and recleaned the gutters, reinstalled the filter properly and calked the areas that hadn't been done before. They did a great job! I would change my above rating to at least a 3.5 or 4 star if this site would let me.
would think about it. She went to her car. Well then to doorbell rang, she spoke with her manager and could discount it by $2,000, since in the area or something like this. Well "Ok" - that was our error:-( Spoke with friends who used them in Storm Lake, IA and they laughed said same hustle; when they said they would wait, rep made call to manager and there was extra product in area from a job and the could do it for significantly less! What a joke. Then mentioned to my son that we were going to pay $5,687 for leaf filter on some existing gutters and one new gutter across front and new downspout on northside and he laughed "are you kidding, you guys aren't that old".
We are getting a local quote - more to come. But the kicker is, Leaf Filter states if we cancel we will be charged 25% of cancelled job, since we are cancelling too late. Oh ya! DO NOT BE AS NIEVE AS US! BEWARE OF LEAF FILTER! Make them wait and get your own quote.
After a lengthy presentation of how great the company was and how This Old House has ranked them one of the best gutter companies in the US the presentation just kept going and going like some of these new shows on Netflix. They claim to use Leaf Filter vetted or qualified service installers. Finally I had to tell the salesman just tell me the cost. He provided a price of $6875.
dollars which is ridicules. I immediately told him that price is not going to happen here. Not for the liner foot I have, its way over priced and I have no trees around. The high pressure sales was to get me to buy something for immediate flex convenience fee lowering it to $4747.
This is just for their Leaf Filter patented system. No new gutters and down spouts, not new fascia etc. After declining everything and telling the salesman I am done, the pressure to sale something ended up a second offer to clean, realign, level and attachment my falling guttering system. Change 1 downspout end to a 45 degree kick out and install these leveling clips every 3-5 feet that supposed to place your gutter at the correct angle, remove the old spike nails from one gutter section installing new supports and the clips and chalk all ends and joints.
This quote went from $1433. to $1,183. Mind you I can get new seamless gutters under a thousand to twelve hundred dollars roughly. Why in the heck would I agree to anything they are offering.
His final act to get some sort of sale before he left was to offer all the companies service except installing the filter system for $916.00. I still was leery, however, $916.00 was somewhat reasonable for the services I thought they were going to provide so I would not have to do it myself. After not signing anything he said they would be in contact with me in a few days and send me the work order, but the service team would want to contact me also in a few days to perform the services. Before receiving the quote the salesman text me and said the service team would be on site the next day.
I have not even received the work order documentation yet. Finally I did but, I did not reply to the salesman about the appointment time because it was to short notice and we had to work and could not be there. That did not stop the service team from showing up and wanting to get started. Contrary to my instinct, I allowed them to perform their services unsupervised.
Here is what you need to know.
First they do not use they own service techs, They are all sub contractors. Not just one company, several. There take on cleaning my gutters as was to blow the gutters out, flinging roof aggrate all over the drive, my vehicle in the drive and patio and porch. They did a poor job cleaning the gutters leaving dirt and grime in several gutters, when confronted why they did not use water they claimed the calking would not stick.
So they may applied calk to 2-3 areas and globbed it on. They applied in over aggregate and dirt in those areas and it was not cleaned. It would have been better to wash it out and it was hot enough to dry fairly quickly or dry it up and apply calking correctly. They did not install the 45 degree end piece per the request.
They did not install the leveling clips every 3-5 feet throughout the gutter system. they installed some, maybe 6-10 throughout the whole system, not what they told me. If they flushed the gutters they could tell they that the downspout was clogged completely. When realigning the gutters they placed screws in some areas at angles that split the wood by blowing through the edge.
One area they pushed up on my roofing where it met the fascia and it detached the roof, leaving a 2 inch gap for rain to get in to cause damage. Some gutter areas had gaps where light could be seen where again water could leach back and cause water damage. None of this was brought to my attention. When complaining to the salesman the same day as the service work, all he said was ya , sounds like we need to get someone back out for sure.
A followup text after sending pictures was that he was trying to get service set up so I would not have to call friends at the call center.
They did send another service company out in which he determined they failed to clean the gutters correctly and the one downspout he checked was fully clogged. He could not perform the corrections due to timing but was willing to take a look and come back. I did not want him to bother and that I wanted to file a complaint. Needless to say, I refuse to pay the full payment and am going to require the company to adjust their rate to what they did do correctly.
I refuse to have them send another contractor to my home to fix what they should have done right the first time. Photo available and court is next.
I have called and they came out to clean them once, now they say I have to pay for the service. I have asked for a refund since the way it was sold to me was I would never have a clog again, and never have to clean them again, which is not true.
I told him not to bother coming or rescheduling me as the first impression is everything
1) contract says price to be paid when work completed. I gave c.c. #when contract signed, however c.c. charged when work team arrived, NOT when completed.
2) They needed to use my electricity, this was NOT in contract either. So I'm charging company for my electric bill.
3) One of men needed to use my restroom. I shouldn't have let him in my house! What a mess.
4) One of the spout extensions was in wrong location, I had to put it on in correct place myself.
5) Most of debris cleaned up, BUT huge mess of pine needles from roof were left in big pile on ground next to house. I'll have to clean that up myself.
6) During job inspection I found several pieces of trash left around house!
I would not suggest this install crew or service,
I just want to see if any Mgr. in this company has the guts to call me and resolve this simple problem or offer to refund my hard earned money.

Yes I give my review they are bad people they came in your home to steal from you that’s they do now I need found someone to help with this people I paid almost 5 thousand and the problem still there I live in the townhouse I call they sent the technician then the manager call the name Lincoln they try to fix but I got to pay over 700 hundred more I refused they never call back I need found someone to take them out business
They are slick scammers
They are above (they think) and Definitely do not respond or call back to any unlucky one that installs their system! Everyone needs to know how they are defrauding the public this should be illegal to do this to someone
I hope someone takes him to court and they have to pay back millions to people that they defrauded
