Today I printed out a day pass that LA fitness offer on their websitesWhen I arrived there I told the front office why I am there and showed my pass that I printed, I also noted that I do not want to sign up today I just want to use the gymShe told me my pass has to be activated and I have to sign before I can use the gym with my three-day passI said Ok and then the front office worker directed me to one of the sales person named ***I also told him that I do not want to spend time there talking since I have limited time and I don’t like to make same day decisions, I also told [redacted] that I used to be a member so I know how everything isI requested that my pass to be activatedHearing that, ***, told me I can't use the pass since I used to be a memberI told him it was about or years agoIt was in 2008, if I am not remembering wrongHe, then told me I cannot use the pass and he insisted that I should sign up insteadI told him I am not here to sign up today I am here to try outI also told him that the pass I printed out does not say anything about not being able to use the pass for the previous membersAt the end, he told me he cannot let me use itI asked him to call the manager and he told me his manager is busy and I need to waitAfter I waited a while, I decided that it does not worth waiting and wanted to leaveBefore I leave, I wanted to manager know what is going on and at the time he [redacted] - was with another customerBecause I did not want to wait anymore I told him the issue very quickly since he was busy with another person and all he did to say "OK"Then, I asked him and the other sales person, [redacted] to give me their cards because I want to show him that I should be able to use the passHe told me he does not have card and the I asked him to write down his name for me please and [redacted] told me I have the name on the day pass paper I printed outWhile I was checking out the paper he got up, walked towards me, grabbed the paper angrily while I read it and told me "get the fout of here"I was shocked to hear that and I told him I do not have to leaveAnother person approached to us and [redacted] continue to curse and asked that person to “kick me out of the building”That person approached me and asked me to leave this time without cursingI left the building feeling sadAfter leaving the gym I had to sit in my car for a while because it was hard for me to accept what just had happenedI am feeling extremely sadI am hoping justiceMy plan for that morning was not definitely what had happened and I was sadI called the member services and asked if the 3-day guess pass can be used by a former member of the gym"He told me I can certainly use it if it is more than six monthsWell mine was about seven years ago and yet they had not let me use the passI cannot remember the name of the person I talked on the phone but he tried to solve the issue, he contacted to the LA fitness San Marcos and called me back telling me their story is different than mineI told him I would expect that to happenWhile I was talking we disconnectedI tried calling him but was not able to reachHe called me back about two hours later, apologizing that we disconnected, and accepted that I should be able to use the passI told him I no longer want to make a business with such disrespectful personnel’sI return home and did a little research and found out I am not the only one [redacted] R MistreatedFor the same reasonOnce they figure out a person who want to use the gym and do not consider signing up on that same day they simply jeject the customer and not let them use the pass thy advertise Here is a copy of another person complain for the same reason…….”First day of the year and I go o the la fitness with my guest pass that I plan to use for maybe a couple days before signing up for the monthly membershipBasically didn't have time to set up a monthly membership on the spot (gym was going to close within an hour) so I said I would in the next day or two and just wanted to work out that day only on a guest passThis is my first time using a la fitness guest p/ [redacted] in my life by the way INSTEAD, I GET TURNED AWAY ONCE I GET INSIDE TO THE FRONT DESKAND, BY THE GENERAL MANAGER(I believe his name is " [redacted] ")” (http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-fitness-san-marcos, 02/09/16)

I have been a member with LA Fitness since 2012, payed my membership on time regardless of of my gym attendanceunfortunately fell into some hard times in the last months, called LA fitness to pay for lost time (Balance was only) after years of non late paymentspayed out of the to ensure the reinstatement of my monthly dues considering I have been loyal to the company and fulfilled my contract, I would think that they would extend a first time courtesy and allow me a to continue with the membership or start a new membership with the same monthly payments, But they declined, the agent stated may it seem that loosing my business was no big deal, that the system is what it is? That makes no sense, why would a business prefer to loose more years of business for a balance, in which I was willing to pay for to continue with the membership? I even expressed that this negative review would take place, this did not even matter to herShe didn't even offer an opportunity to speak with her leaders to see if something to be resolvedShe just kept saying the system doesn't allow meWhere is the customer service and the loyalty to the loyal customers? When I went into the Tempe location today with the intention of giving them new long-term members, Mr Ethan, the apparent sales GM, turned a simple business transaction into an aggressive sales strategy seemingly designed at signing me up quickly and without consideration to my needs as a customer He took my promotional inquiries personally, letting his emotions get the better of himTo my surprise, he condescendingly voiced his personal opinions of me and proceeded to give me the option to "sign up or get out." Verbatim Though I attempted to skirt his unprofessional behavior by working with the more pleasant sales rep Nate and Operations director Aaron, we were unceremoniously kicked out of the gym in power-tripping response to a poorly worded remark my friend made about Ethan's unacceptable insolence As I've learned during my time in the customer service industry, customers may not always be right, but you make damn sure to treat us with respectToday, LA Fitness has lost my future business to GM Ethan's sense of entitlement and serious professional immaturity

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator back in Samsung Protection Plus sells their warranties to Assurant Solutions, though Samsung coordinates all repairs The last extended warranty I purchased was 2/28/and is good for one year and cost $ This is my third (3rd) extended warranty; in total I have paid Samsung Protection Plus $1,for three (3) extended warranties Since I have had NUMEROUS repair tickets opened to repair the unit; I have had over twenty (20) different repair appointments over the years from many repair companies here in the bay area - Precision TV, Major Home Appliance Service, Jem Appliance (visits) and lastly Service Quick (over repair tickets) My Samsung Protection Plus contract clearly states "if the same component fails three (3) times or the product requires a 4th repair we will issue a replacement product" Because of all the different repair companies and technicians that were dispatched to my home over the yea

In my first week of joining this gym, I was falsely accused of being a personal trainer and advertising to their patrons.This was after I'd declined to use their personal trainersTheir sales guy, [redacted] and [redacted] - the personal trainer that did my free session ( you get one when you sign up) decided to interrupt my workout to harass me with accusations of being a personal trainer.I am NOT a personal trainer and followed up with their operations manager [redacted] He was not helpful at all.I followed up with their customer relations department and they said [redacted] would apologize.That hasn't happened and most likely, it never will.This is not the gym for you if you're in shape and don't need their trainers.Shame on you La fitness at and Preston rd!

I canceled my account with this gym and they preceeded to take money out of my bank account would not refund it to me When I called I spoke with the manager, I also spoke with customer service and the home office they all stood strong on their word, they would not refund the money That is stealing, this place is ridiculous and I spoke with five other people now that the same thing happened to them, they are robbing people

I am very disappointed in LA Fitness overall!!! Not only at this location, but Ed one of the members services managers....I went to LA Fitness near my house, and had a evaluationThe rep that worked with me tried to get me to sign up for a plan but I couldn't afford it at the time...She told me that she would call me within a month to see how I was doing and see about signing me upThe month went by but I never heard from her, and then I had an accident where I fell off a ladder....I called the representative and sent her a email about the accident, but I never heard back from them...I couldn't go to the gym so I put my account on hold...When I signed up they told me that if I had to put my account on hold they would charge me $10...They were still charging me $40......After three months or so I went in and talked to one of the managers and explained how I was disappointed in the way the rep handled the situation...The manager apologized and gave me another evaluation for free...I did the evaluation, and again the rep said that I should get a trainer...She quoted me a price and I said that I couldn't afford it...She said that she would drop it down to $100+, but what she didn't tell me was they are going to charge me $100+ twice each month so I am paying almost $for a trainer......I lost my job and I sent her a message and she said that I couldn't get out of the contract...I am struggling paying this stupid thing...I haven't seen or heard from my trainer in three weeks, so I went in today didn't see the trainer or the person that signed me up...I went and talked to another representative and he said that they both left and went to another location...Neither one bothered to call me! I called management services and spoke to Ed and explained how upset I was with the location....He acted like he didn't care, and he said that I can't get out of the contract that I would have to pay $to get out of the contract!

I am a powerlifter, I've been going to la fitness in Oviedo for a very long timeRecently the GM there does not like meFor no reason, I have done nothing to himWhen I do a deadlift with really heavy weights I go down with the bar as slow as I can, I don't slamDoing so with 500lbs is not easy and still makes noiseI do my dead lifts and squats without shoes so I have good balance and not mess up my lower back or knees in any wayAs a gym and as a gym GM you must understand thisHow can you run a gym and know nothing about fitness? And do they not understand safety? That's fraudSo he told me if I do it again with no shoes and make noise I will get kicked out for goodAnd I tried explaining its hard not to make noise with that much weight or I'll snap my backHe replies "I don't care about your back"By the way his name is MITCHI respect and follow the rules at that gym but I will not snap my back for someone that's ignorant when it comes to fitness and doesn't understand the process and care about my safety thereEspecially that I compete I cannot get injuredI don't slam weights and never haveThere are other people that slam weights there and he never said anything to them because they are his friends and let's them do whatever they wantHe even videos them slamming weights When I do light weight on deadlift I never make noise because I can control putting down the weight without hurting my backI can't do that with 500lbsHe needs to be talked to and he needs to show respect and not tell members like me he doesn't care about their safetyI pay a monthI should at least get respect from the GM, the face of the companyThis is very disappointing

We have been going to LA Fitness for over a year and a half and to yesterday was the lastThe sales representative Samual was very rude and very unprofessional!! He was very disrespectful to my wife and very sarcastic to herSamual needs to be educated on discrimination as wellI had taken my son one night who is but very small for his ageWe were approached by Samual one night not in a professional manner at all in regards to getting him a pass because he did not see we had one and also made a comment about his age not knowing he was I did not let my son come back with me until yesterday at that time I had a guest pass for himAnother staff approached us in a very professional manner being sent over by Samual who approached us right afterI let him know we had a guest pass and he then said the age was when we were told it was and proceeded to let us know very sarcastically how annoyed he wasNot only was it Sam but a few other staff had approached us about my son's age assuming he was and who already has a low self esteem due to being bullied about his sizeAnother family who has a year old son attending LA Fitness is not bothered by staff due to him being taller and looks older They say they have a policy but only seem to enforce it with my familyI will not return to a gym where my wife and I were completely disrespected by Samual! It sucks because that is our home gym but this was uncalled for and my wife should not have left in tears because of his jabs and sarcastic attitudeI will take my family and friends to mountain side! Our District Vice President contacted [redacted] to discuss his concerns As a customer service accommodation, he agreed with [redacted] to essentially change his contract to a 6-month term, instead of months, while honoring the lower per session rate that is available based on a member’s 12-month commitment Accordingly, after member’s billing on 2/19/2017, should he elect to cancel, he will need to request such a cancellation and we will honor it at no additional costOur District Vice President provided him with both his email and phone number for direct contact Additionally, if member no longer wishes to continue with his valid Agreement prior to that date, LA Fitness will honor the voluntary cancellation provision of the Agreement should he elect to take advantage of it We believe this to be a fair and reasonable resolution to this issue

My husband and I joined this gym when we moved to the area in June or July I began noticing several negative customer service situationsOne was witnessing associates gossiping about customers in the front desk in front of me and other customersI thought that to be very unprofessionalAbout a year later my husband started to get busier at work and on his MBA program and we "froze" his membership( stopped momentarily paying)So for most of I was paying for myself and child care without my husbandStarting a friend of mind tried to join a Gym and I told her to come check LA fitnessThat was a horrible experiencesThe sales person was very unprofessionalMy friend wanted to tour the facility and check the machines This sales associate took us to a cubicle and began explaining to her the different plansHe kept trying to get her to commit on a planMy friend told him she had to check with her husband first before picking a planHe keep trying to get her to sign for something after my friend repeatedly said she had to talk it over with her husbandThis salesman asked her at this point if she had ever been to an LA Fitbess before and she said yesShe had been to a difference location a long time agoThen the salesman told my friend, that he was going to allow her to have a pass to try the gym, but that he should not do it since she had been to another location beforeMy friend and I just looked at each other in awe because we could bot believe this personHe treated my friend like a thief trying to get a free passAt that moment we just walked out and told him not to bother even showing her the placeThat was on January 25th, So my friend and I joined another gym and I had to personally cancel LA fitness the next dayThey would not do it over the phone and it has to be during business hoursWhen I was canceling on January 26th, I asked to close all the accounts including my husband'sThis associate explained to me that my husband had been canceled a long time agoI asked reportedly if all the accounts including day care were closed and he said yesWe only had one credit card on file that was deducted monthly the of every monthThe issue I currently have with this business is that yesterday 4/15/around 4:PM, I noticed a charge on my credit card from LA Fitness and I called them to ask about itI was told that my husband's account was still active and that it was my fault for not cancelingThe tone of the person did not seemed to be willing to refund the months I had been paying since JanuaryI was told this after I explained to the associate that the day I cancel my membership I was told me my husband was canceled alreadyNeither my husband or I have stepped into that place since 01/26/and our card has been charched months for services not used, because of a their mistake of not closing my husband's account along with mineOf course I was told I could not cancel over the phone and that the manager was not in the facility in that momentAgain, I have to personally go there during business hoursI call this stealing and I just can believe they want me to take responsibility for their mistakeToday I am planning to go there with my husband to get this resolvedIf they do not refund us February, March and April of this year, I will place a formal complaint with this organization

We I signed up, I was given a free day with a personal trainer After completing the first day, the personal trainer try to convince me into signing up for the weekly personal trainer session I told them I I didn't know if I was going to have the moneyHe had me sign the paperwork to hold me in at a select a great and told me he would hold the paperwork till the following day when I knew if I was going to have the money or not When he called me, I told him I was not going to have the money to be able to do it He went through and process the paperwork and now I'm getting a phone call telling me that I owed them thousands of dollars for a personal trainers that I could not do that to begin with and they are trying to collect Extremely corrupt business

This place has no customer service They have no appreciation for there customers I have called there corp office and cant get any help there Keep getting told they will have someone call me and never do!! I wondered why they were never busy but now I can see why!!

Unprofessional CROOKS, General Manager Dan O is an incompetent, sg bully who humiliated my sister and resorted to calling the security guard to escort her out after refusing her service (VIP pass) I am NEVER going to have a LA Fitness Membership ever again nor recommend them to anyoneAsk anyone, their sales team is pushy and rudeTheir managers are dimwitted and unhelpful DON'T BOTHER signing up with these guysThey'll try to con you and make things like guess passes and VIP passes a living hell for youThey will annoyingly, relentlessly call and harass everyone you add to your VIP list or "referral list." I added my sister to my VIP list in July and she never got around to using itWhen I re-added her in October and she tried to use either VIP pass, they denied her and rudely yelled at herThey told her "if you're not interested in getting a membership, YOU ARE WASTING OUR TIME." We have email proof stating the policy on VIP passes"A day VIP Guest Pass is attached to this emailPlease bring the attachment to the club and allow us to show you the club and activate your complimentary consecutive day pass." The website ALSO explicitly states that "Each of your VIP guests will receive consecutive days of club usage from the date of their first visit to use the club and work out as many time as they want during that periodLimit one guest pass per person every six months." My sister never got around to visiting the club nor activating the pass in July at allShe has never activated any guest pass before When she tried to finally activate her VIP pass, the [redacted] General Manager, Dan O gave multiple excuses as to why she couldn't use itFirst he said that she had already activated it but she never didThere's no proof that she ever came in, registered, nor signed the liability formThen he said that my account didn't allow for VIP passesBut it did, and it's still a feature from my mobile app tooThen (third time) he said it was because she can only be issued one every six monthsLA Fitness Corporate Member Services confirmed that VIP guess passes should NEVER expire if not activated So they lied all three times, claiming she activated it, that my account didn't have VIP passes, and that she couldn't use the unactivated VIP pass from JulyWHAT A SCAMDeceitful and incompetent, they CONTRADICT their own policies This is a quote literally from Xander at LA Fitness Corporate Member Services: "We can do whatever we wantWe are a private company and we have the right to refuse service to anyone we want." Don't believe me? The conversations are recorded when you call corporate I DO NOT RECOMMEND LA FITNESS TO ANYONE Unless you want lousy service, empty guest pass promises, stanky locker rooms, outdated equipment, unprofessional managers and pushy sales people I am furiousMy sister was humiliated twiceI was denied a service that I pay forThe VIP pass never expires and my sister was on my VIP list, brought photo ID and is over years oldLA Fitness management gave us different excuses each time saying it was because she had already activated it, that my account did not have VIP pass privileges, that she needed to be a potential member, otherwise she was wasting their time I am deeply saddened that my youngest sister was humiliated and yelled at by the General ManagerI heard his voice to her over the phoneShe was crying hysterically over the phone as he brought a security guard to escort her awayShe ran to the gym (miles) both timesI have been paying for my membership for months and they are denying me a VIP pass that explicitly states that it is only activated AFTER their first visitI am furious that Member Services at LA Corporate were incredibly unhelpful and equally rudeI spoke to of them, of them hung up on meEven though the conversations are recorded, they make claims like "we are a private company and we can refuse service to anyone." Instead of following up on the issue, they simply snicker behind my back and leave me hanging and my sister humiliatedFor what I've been paying LA Fitness all these months, I don't deserve this kind of treatmentI would appreciate more than just a refund but I want LA Fitness to terminate my account now and refund me months

LA fitness has been without a doubt one of the worst organizations I've ever done business withUpon learning that LA fitness has everything to do with sales and nothing to do with health I got out of there ASAPI then found out that the cancellation process is absolutely ridiculousI was told that I could not cancel unless I spoke with a lead manager and it had to be in person, M-F 8am to 5pmI complied and showed up around 1PM on my lunch break and then was told no manager could help me because apparently one was thereThey then insisted that I get charged for the next month and claimed that I could get it charged back after canceling which did not happenIt's no wonder LA fitness gyms are dropping like flies around my areaNot to mention, I gave them a second chance even after the first time I signed up, the associate was visibley laughing at me for being a transgender personAll in all, LA fitness is a non-sustainable money hungry piece of [redacted] company that will eventually failDon't get a gym membership hereYou're much better off at a more private local gym

Cancelled my membership due to us moving and there is no la fitness where we moved They continue to charge our card and keep saying we never canceled propery even tho I was given a cancellation receipt Rip off company

In early August I joined La Fitness on Slaughter Lane in Austin, TX, and told the representative that I was joining only because they have a pool and I wanted to take aqua aerobics classes I was told then that they were aware that a number of ladies had come to their facility from another and that all of us wanted these classes and that they would begin offering these classes in the daytime within a very short time They said that they were just waiting to hire some instructors and would begin offering the classes It has now been almost months and no aqua aerobics are being offered in the daytime although there are several instructors who are available and who have completed the hiring process We have contacted their corporate office and all we get is a response, "We are working on it" I feel that I and the other ladies were enrolled under pretenses and advertising

I have no idea how these pack of thieves could possibly have a A+ rating with the Revdex.com! I guess you can buy your grade because these folks at la fitness are the most skilled con men that you ever saw with your credit card! My wife wan I signed up at per month flat rateThen she signed up for weeks of a personal trainerShe went twiceOn the second visit she detached her rotator cuff for which she had surgeryAccording to her contract she was dismissed due to her injuryPeriod! They kept billing her credit card for every two weeksThey kept this up and we kept protesting with the bankWe went to sue but they have shell corporations set up all over the place so you can never find a principalAfter a couple of years I got a notice in the mail that I was included in a class action suit for exactly what had had happened to usIt happened to a lot of peopleBad company...stay away! P.sMy wife went in the pool and caught a bad nail fungus that took two years to get rid of

This is my second complaint about the unsanitary conditions at the Commack, New York LA Fitness gymAfter my first complaint, I did receive phone calls from corporate, reassuring me that this would be rectifiedHowever, instead of fixing the problem, it has become worseThere are no visible staff cleaning this gymAt 5:a.m., this gym is filthyLittered paper towels and water bottles all over the floor, power spilled around the equipment, weights on the floor all around the place, and the bathrooms are unclean, hair clogging the drains in each showerThe uncleanliness in the bathrooms remains untouched for daysIn addition, the machines have clearly not been wiped down for monthsThere is a build up of hair, dirt, powder, lotion, etcthat remains there day in and day outFingerprints from lotion have been on one machine since February! I discussed this with management and with corporate at length, to no avail I have many pictures of this that I have sent to corporateI believe this gym poses a health hazard for those that attendThe other local LA Fitness gyms are not very clean either, but this one surpasses them all
