THIS PROGRAM IS A REALLY BAD IDEA Bad. They tell you they do an appraisal on the property so you feel comfortable with the numbers but it’s really an “IN HOUSE APPRAISAL” which is rather biased and not the true value of the property. The house appraised for $30k LESS than a neutral 3rd party appraiser, but they won’t reconsider the numbers to close the deal. So they should be called this program RENT Partners instead of @homepartners . The contract changes when they think it’s a good idea or in their favor but not when it’s NECESSARY. This program is designed to lock you in as a renter not a homeowner. At the end all they say is they are sorry and if it was up to them, they would make the adjustments but they can’t. But then they won’t give you the office contact info nor any contact info for any of the decision makers. It’s really a bad program. Try Trio, my friend had success with them. She didn’t get treated like a long term renter, they made sure she closed on the property. I paid almost $50k into this program, always on time with my rent (NEVER LATE) and they are not willing to renegotiate the contract to support the actual appraisal figures. This program is designed to manipulate and destroy a future homeowners hopes and dreams. Their program is a joke and not honest. PLEASE DON'T GET TRAPPED WITH THIS HOMEOWNER'S SCAM.

Home Partners was the perfect way for us to get settled in a great house and give us a year to focus on getting finance ready. Even if you're only interested in renting it's really a cool program, honestly.
