Insured: *** *** ***
***:
This is in response to your July 7, correspondence
Effective February 1, 2006, we issued the above policy in the names of *** * *** and *** * *** for his *** and daughter *** for *** ***, Iowa ***. Effective February 6, 2011, the *** was replaced by a *** and the policy was rewritten from *** ***, Iowa to *** * *** *** *** IL ***. The policy remained in **& ***’s names with *** listed as an additional driver. While we can appreciate ***’s concerns with this matter, we issued the policy as per requested when his daughter contacted us. We were not aware of ***’s instructions to his daughter. We issued policy documents subsequent to the February 6, change showing *** as the named insured.
On May 25, 2011, *** was involved in an intersectional accident. As a member of the Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange, GEICO is required by contract to report claim data as reflected in the claim file. We reported that *** was the driver in this accident. On May 26, 2011, *** called our claims department with questions about the policy, and was advised that he was the named insured. He declined a transfer to our service department to discuss the policy further. We can provide written correspondence that *** *** was the driver in the May 25, accident; however, we cannot remove *** as the named insured for the policy.
We appreciate ***’s patronage. If additional information is needed to close your file, please contact *** *** at ###-###-#### or ***
Sincerely,

May 6, Dear *** ***,Thank you for forwarding the complaint which you received from *** ***If I understand correctly, *** inadvertently changed his policy from Hawaii to Florida in anticipation of his relocation to FloridaAccording to his letter, he went on line to
obtain a quote but not a changeWhen he realized that his policy had changed to Florida, he spoke with various representatives in our Florida Office and they advised him that he would have to provide proof of Hawaii residencyGiven that he has clearly stated he will be cancelling the policy upon arrival in Florida (which sounds like it will be any day now), his request makes sense to me and we have processed the change to keep the rating in HawaiiOne of the Hawaii Supervisors spoke to him yesterday and advised himHe has her contact number (and now mine) if he has further questions or concernsI anticipate that he will contact GEICO in the near future to confirm that he has now relocated as the Hawaii policy will not satisfy insurance requirements in the State of FloridaPlease let me know if you need anything further.Sincerely,

September 10, Dear *** ***:This will acknowledge receipt of your September 8, follow up inquiry regarding the above referenced private passenger automobile insurance policy
Please be advised that GEICO’s position on the matter remains unchangedAs stated previously, the earned premium payment of $that *** *** submitted on August 19, was for coverage our company provided on her prior policy up to the indicated cancellation dateThere is no indication that *** *** was ever informed that her prior policy was paid in full at the time of its cancellation, or that the earned premium payment of $would be included in her refundSince there appears to be no valid complaint against GEICO, we ask that this be removed from our record. If you require further assistance with this matter, please contact the undersigned at ***.Very truly yours,Brian O

I am rejecting this response because: I did ask for an SR-when I signed up for insurance with Geico It is not my problem that an employee of Geico Insurance Coforgot to make record of my request for a SR-Geico has caused sever problems for me due to their negligence Due to this error my license was suspendedI paid my insurance every month and I expect Geico to do their duty by providing a SR-per my request when I obtained my insuranceI expect for Geico to fix this issue and compensate me for this error by not providing me with an SR-as I requestedI paid hundreds of dollars for this policy and I expected Geico to follow through with my SR-as I requested when I started my policyI have refereed several of my friends and family to Geico because I thought they provided a good serviceI'm very disappointed about this lack of concern to assist me with fixing this issueI asked one of your representatives to send me an SR-dated when I first obtained the policy and they refusedIf i'm not compensated for this mistake I will be telling any one I know that Geico is not honest and they do not follow through with what is asked of them! I know of of my family members that I will be telling them about this disregard of my needs as a customerSo do you feel $is worth losing additional insurance policies? I have friends and family on *** and I will be posting my experience if it is not resolvedI will do everything in my power to let everyone know that Geico cares more about money than the customers!Sincerely,

I was told I had additional days on my policyI found another company for half the price, when I went to purchase the policy they informed me my policy at Geico had in fact closed days prior thus causing my rate to doubleGeico simply said there was nothing they could do and that no one had documented my calls The manager was rude and condescendingThe end result, I've been driving for days with no insurance and my costs have now doubled due to their incompetence and they do not offer any assist to fix their costly mistake

I am rejecting this response because:I do NOT want to use after-market parts in my *** ***It is my right to have the car restored to the exact original condition before the accidentMy car didn't have aftermarket parts before the accident (and it only has less than 6k miles on it), so it is not acceptable to have aftermarket parts to replace the few-month-old parts of my car.
Again, they issued the check to a certain body shop which doesn't give me much flexibility to choose another bodyshop if I want toI want the check payable to myself and the lien holder so I can have more flexibility in dealing with any bodyshop I decide to

Dear ***:

Thank you for your recent inquiry. I’m sorry to hear of ***’ dissatisfaction. We did complete an investigation into the accident and kept *** informed throughout the claim.
Our insured reported this loss to us on April 2, 2014. The same day, we contacted *** and filed a claim. The following day, April 3, 2014, we were notified of a liability dispute and we obtained ***’ recorded statement wherein she clai** the other driver entered her lane and struck her vehicle. The other driver has not responded to our attempts to obtain his statement; however, we understand the driver clai** he was completing a right turn when *** hit his trailer from the rear. Unfortunately, there is no police report and there are no witnesses to aide in our investigation. Based on our insured’s facts of the accident, we found her not at fault.
Because our insured does not carry Collision coverage on her *** ***, we are unable to pay for her damage. We have been trying to reach *** to assist our insured with her claim; however, to date we have not had a response. I understand ***’ frustration, but we are unable to force *** to pay for her damage. If we hear from *** in the future, we will inform our insured.
We strive to offer outstanding customer service and I regret we did not meet ***' expectations. If you or *** have any questions, please contact *** ***, Clai** Manager, at ###-###-####

Re: *** ***
Dear *** ***:
This is in response to your email of July 30, 2014, addressed to Tony N*** of GEICO. Your letter has been referred to me for response as the Emergency Road Service Department is my responsibility.
This is our third and final response to this complaint. *** ***’s policy was written for “liability” only. She received declarations pages several times which clearly show the coverage she carried on this vehicle. We would not have attempted to “upsell” physical damage coverage on a vehicle that was almost twenty years old, as it would not be in the customer’s best interest to do so. Again, the *** ***’s policy was issued with the exact same coverage that was on the vehicle for years under her ex-husband’s policy
*** ***’s rates increased due to a prior non-payment of premium cancellation, and a subsequent reissue. The upgrade in vehicles from a *** with liability only, to a *** with liability and physical damage coverage, also increased her rates.
We trust that we have supplied you with sufficient information to close out this complaint. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this issue, please feel free to give me a call at ###-###-####, ext***

Re: *** ***
Case No***
Dear ***:
This is in response to your correspondence received in our Washington, D.CExecutive Offices. It was referred to the Dallas, TX Regional Office for a reply
Our response letter dated July 16, stated GEICO understood ***’s intention was for quote only purposes for adding his sonHowever, since *** is a licensed youthful driver, resides in the household, and does not have his own insurance, GEICO added *** in order to provide adequate insurance
*** was advised his policy automatically extended coverage to household relatives and regular operators of his vehicles, unless otherwise excluded. Since ***’s submitted quote indicated his son, ***, was a household resident, a regular vehicle operator, and did not have his own insurance, *** was rated as an active driver. *** was advised in order to remove his son ***, we would need proof that *** has other insurance. GEICO offered a Named Driver Exclusion to remove *** from the policy
We regret *** does not accept our contract or decision.
We trust this information will allow you to close your file. If you need additional information please contact Jerry M*** by telephone at ###-###-#### from 8:am to 4:pm CST or by email at ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: as previously requested what documentation/justification do you have to validate "the opinion" or to question that these damages were not caused by the hailAt this point my vehicle is being refused to be repaired based opinions onlyThe only way to validate such is to place a vehicle in a hail storm as severe as the storm on this day in question then to compare damagesIn as much the damages that I am disputing are the dents that the inspector noted as caused by the hail, dents on the passenger back side of the vehicle I am disturbing scratches or curb damage

Dear *** ***,
This is in response to your July 30, correspondence.
We regret *** *** rejected our response. However, our position has not changed. *** *** *** is listed as a non-driver on the policy and we are not charging a rate for her. Whether or not *** has a learner’s permit has no effect on our decision keep her listed on the policy

Dear ***:
class="**oNormal">
Thank you for your recent inquiry
This claim was filed on June 24, by ***’s insurance companyOur customer was immediately contacted to confirm the facts as reportedAt that time, our insured denied an impact took place and stated there was no damage to the vehiclesThe claim was immediately transferred to ***, who took a detailed recorded statement from our insuredOur insured stated she was traveling behind ***’s vehicle when it came to a quick stopOur insured stated she stopped behind ***’s vehicle without making contactShe went on to say that *** told our insured that she was in a prior accident where she was rear ended and there may be pre-existing internal damage
After obtaining our insured’s statement, we contacted ***’s insurance companyThey then explained ***’s version of the accident and that there was minor bumper damage to ***’s vehicleWe requested they send photos and estimates of the damage
We next contacted *** and obtained a recorded statement from her in which she stated she was struck by our insuredWe told *** that we were waiting for photos of the vehicles to determine liabilityA few minutes later, *** called us back to provide additional details regarding the conversation that took place after the accident and advised she had photos from the accident scene, which we requested she send in
On June 25, 2014, we then received photographs of the vehicles including photographs from our insured which seemed to indicate no damage to ***’s vehicle in the area in question*** contacted all parties to notify them of our decision to deny based on our insured’s claims that the vehicles did not make contact and the photographs which appeared to support that versionThese calls did occur after hours and *** let *** know her adjuster was gone for the day but she would be able to speak to them in the morning
On June 26, 2014, we received additional photographs as well as copies of the prior repair work done on ***’s vehicle and contacted our insured to discussOn June 27, we notified all parties we would accept responsibility for the accident
***’s insurance company called back on June 27, and we offered to send ***’s deductible to her and we were told there was no need to do so
While both parties had different versions of the accident, *** at no time accused either party of lyingRather, *** was relaying our insured’s version of the accident and explaining the inconsistency between the two versions
I do not believe the contact attempts above and the actions taken by *** constitute deception, harassment, or fraudWe have since accepted responsibility and will reimburse *** her deductible once a demand is received from her insurance company
In regards to any medical expenses, to our knowledge no injuries were sustained in this accidentIf *** wishes to pursue an injury claim, she will need to contact us, or have a representative contact us, as soon as possible

April 16, Dear *** ***:Thank you for your letter of April 5,2014, regarding *** ***’s claim. On March 14, *** *** requested us to tow her vehicle to *** *** *** Paint and Body for repairs to her *** ** from a hit and run accidentThe only
discussion we have documented in regards to *** *** was that she was going to take it there for a second opinion for the power steering and the supervisor told her that she could have the shop call him if they felt it was accident relatedThe GEICO adjuster wrote an estimate on the vehicles rear damages in the amount of $This included repairs to the rear bumper, trunk lid and license plate pocket. She had mentioned to the adjuster that her power steering pump was making a noise since the accidentThe adjuster stated we would have the shop inspect itUpon the shop’s inspection of the power steering pump it was determined that there was a whining noise and seepage that was due to wear and tear and no physical damage was found. When *** *** picked up her vehicle she was told that the license plate trim on the trunk was no longer available for her vehicleThe shop told her they would fix it as best as possible in which they were successful and refunded the $plus $sales tax to her by subtracting it from her $deductibleThis brought her charges at the time of pickup at $615.62.The scratches in the front were discussed with the adjuster and supervisor and neither could relate this to the rear collisionThere was no supporting evidence to show even a possibility that those types of scratches could have been caused by this lossAt no time did our adjuster or supervisor show an irate attitude or rudenessAs a courtesy to the *** *** we have extended her rental up to the policy limits.?If you have any questions, please feel free to contact *** ***, Auto Damage Manager, at ###-###-####.Very truly yours,?
