FEBRUARY 11, 2015Dear *** ***:Thank you for your letter of inquiry dated February 3, The accident was originally reported by *** on January 8, 2015, with a loss time of 9:AM*** *** was attempting to exit the driveway of her apartment building when she collided
with the other vehicle that was parked near the exit.Liability was not in question; however, before we could accept responsibility we had to complete a coverage investigation because *** ***'s policy was bound the same day as the lossWe confirmed with our underwriting department the policy was purchased at 9:AM with an effective date of January 9, At 10:13AM, *** *** then called into our service department requesting the policy start effective January 8, She then called back into our service department again at 10:AM to add collision coverage for that same dayIn order to verify the loss date and time, we contacted the owner of the other vehicle, *** ***, at 4:PMHe confirmed we had the correct date and time of the accidentThe next day we verified with *** their insured reported the date/time of loss to be January 8, 2015, at 9:AMOn January 12, 2015, we again spoke with *** *** who changed his account of the incident stating the accident happened at 2:PM insteadThat same day, *** *** also changed her account of the loss stating it occurred between 1:PM and 2:PMDue to the conflicting times of loss and policy inception date, we requested that *** *** present to an Examination Under Oath as a term under her policyAfter reviewing the Examination Under Oath, we agreed to close our coverage investigation and handle the third party liability portion of the claim file.Today, we contacted *** *** and explained we would be handling the damage to *** ***'s vehicleWe then set up an inspection for *** ***'s vehicle at his residence. If any additional information is needed, please contact Norman Arminan, Liability Director at ***, extension: ***.Very Truly Yours,

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This was not handled correctlyI was made the changes to my policy and the agent that handled the call read back to me that I was having a deductible of $on both my comp and collusion coverage, as well as getting rental coverage and making sure that it was effective that day because I needed to be changed that day because of the situation that I was having with my ex boyfriend and him wanting to damage my car and meI didn't notice that the coverage wasn't correct until I got the email stating what my deductible was when I filed my claimIf it wasn't for this claim I wouldn't have never knew that my coverage wasn't correct until something came up for me to have to file a claimUnfortunately I ended up having to file a claim therefore bring my deductibles to my attention. I called that morning letting the agent know that my deductibles were not what they were suppose to beAnd I told her what took place on the call and that both of my deductibles should have been and that agent read it back to me that wayShe said that it was nothing that she could do since I had already filed my claim and could change it for this date forward and I told her that is not going to help with the situation that I am having currentlyThe agent that made the changes to my policy made them incorrectI asked her if the call was recorded because that will definitely prove my caseShe went to tell me there was no recording and that it was my fault for not checking my documents, not an error on there part and that is incorrectAnd this now the second time that Geico has not had my policy correct, to make my life as there customer run smoothly and have the coverage that I am paying forOnce she transferred me over to claims the agent was first to say something about my deductible and ask why it was so high on a car such as mine.(I had *** *** with over 175k on it) no reason for my deductible to b that high and it was only a $difference for my to have my deductible at on both comp and collusion LIKE I HAD REQUESTED!!
If the Geico agent would have did her job right the first, at the policy change, I wouldn't be having this problem and then at the same timeAnd I said that I never opened the email....I gets tones of emails a day for all kind of things so I don't check all of my emailsI didn't even recerive anything in the mailWhen my payment is needed that letter comes to my address with no problem but when I make a policy change I don't receive n e thing n the mail and the policy change convo isn't even recorded like why would something as important as a policy change not be recorded for such reasons as this!!!
Now as fair as my accident on last yearThe answer that was given is so NOT RIGHT AT ALL!!!! When I filed my claim, for my car getting damaged, I thought my policy was full coverageMade my claim it was covered, I was driver at the time so I couldn't be without a car and Geico set up a rent for me to go pick up at EnterpriseI went to get the *** ***, the *** agent showed me the car and asked me if I wanted to get their insurance and I declined because that is what I pay Geico forIn March I slide on some ice and ended totaling the carI was in shock of all that was happening that I made my boyfriend at the time handle the phone callshe called *** and let them know about the car and since I didn't have their insurance they said I my insurance would have to take care of it and that it would go under my collision insuranceWe then called Geico and that is when everything went down hillThe agent said that my policy didn't have collusion coverage on itI got on the phone and asked the agent "i had full coverage correct?" NO....seriously this is not correct I told himI said why would Geico reserve me a rental knowing that I would need to have both collusion and comp coverage in order to even get a rentalHe said that he would look into this and give me a call backI then called *** back and told them that Geico was looking into this and was going to give me a call back and that's when the *** rep told me that its in there policy that in order to get a rental, the driver has to have both comp and collusion or have to purchase their insurance to have the car covered during the use of the rental
Later that week I received a call from one of the Geico agents saying that they were going to back date my policy so that I have the coverage for the time of the accident and making with collusion coverage and that my deductible would be $And that I would receive a statement/ invoice in regards to resolving the claimAfter it all I never got anything from Geico or *** stating that this matter hasn't been handled or if any other actions needed to take part on my endI didn't find out about this not being handled til I was denied an apartment n didn't understand why and when I went into *** for my rental for them to tell me I owed then 11kSo NO this has been handled correctly or remotely close and it has done nothing but affect me n the most negative manner possible Regards,
*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not have time to deal with Geico's gamesWhether or not the damage was new or not was already verified through a police report and an employee of Geico that physically came to my residence to examine my vehicle as well as take photosThey simply do not want to payI have since the terminated my business with Geico due to my terrible experienceI will also not be attending their appt on the 20th because I have been completely honest and cooperative with Geico and in return been treated unfairlyI also submitted an recording over the phone about my carAfter I comply they keep coming up with more and more as if I have anything to lie aboutI will not be missing school to do anything else for GeicoEvery step of they way I have complied with GeicoThey simply do not want to take care of their responsibility as an insurance company.

I owned a Geico policy insurance for over years Every months the rate went up even though I never had a single accident or speeding ticket My record is absolutely spotless Regardless, my biggest complaint is their sham regarding taking the funds I went with P*** (which by the way was $cheaper for a month period) and the money that was supposed to come out on the 23rd of February is already showing up in my bank account today I DID NOT agree to the funds coming out on the 22nd Everything is electronic nowadays so there is absolutely no reason why this company cannot cancel this transaction but of course, they cannot Funny, if they need your money, they can take it out right away but they cannot cancel it I am glad I have gone with another company For the amount of years and amount of money I have put into this company, it is pitiful how they have treated me

Dear *** ***,
We received your correspondence dated February 27, 2014, regarding the above-noted complaintWe have not included any personal identifying information in our response as you requested
Our insured’s most recent policy
renewal premium increased from $to $every six monthsWe recently redefined the territories and coverage premiums used to determine our insurance rates, so our rates better reflect our claims payments based on geographical area and coverage selectedOur rates are developed based on large groups of customers, and are filed with the Florida Department of Financial ServicesWe regret that these changes yielded a slightly-higher premium for our insured’s policy
We apologize that we failed to provide the level of service our insured is accustomed when she contacted us regarding her policyPlease note that our insured’s rate includes consideration for her excellent driving record, and low annual mileageOn March 10, 2014, we spoke to our insured regarding her concern, and we provided her with information about our Defensive Driver discount, as well as coverage options available to reduce her premium
Enclosed, please find a summary of our insured’s six-month premium during the past two years, as she requestedWe trust this information is sufficient to allow you to close your filePlease call *** ***, Customer Service Director, at ###-###-####, if you have any further questions

Dear ***:
This is in response to your email of April 14, 2014, addressed to *** *** of GEICO. Your letter has been referred to me for response as the Salvage Department is my responsibility
Our records show that *** has no insurable interest in the ***. This vehicle was owned by *** ***, her sister. Neither one of the individuals are insured by GEICO. *** was involved in a rear end collision with our insured, *** ***-***. The driver of ***-***’s vehicle was responsible for the accident. As a result, ***’s vehicle was deemed a total loss*** wanted to retain salvage on her sister’s vehicle. Of course, we could not speak to *** without ***’s permission. Once we received permission, we explained to *** that since her sister was under a current bankruptcy filing the total loss settlement would have to be paid to ***’s trustee. We agreed to sell the vehicle to *** as retained salvage for $1,000.00. We advised her that the payment must be received before we released the vehicle
Upon receipt of $1,payment we made arrangements to release the vehicle from the salvage yard to ***. She then called back to let us know that she was not able to get a tag, or have the registration changed into her name since ***, her lienholder, and her bankruptcy trustee were the owners of the vehicle. She requested that we return her $1,payment. This conversation took place on April 14, 2014. The reimbursement is being issued today, April 16, 2014. The check is being issued made payable to *** ***, since he purchased the cashier’s check. We understand that he is ***’ boyfriend and resides in her household. Therefore, the check is being mailed to her address
We trust that this information is sufficient in order to allow you to close out this complaint.

FYI I have attached few pics for your information
This
is in response to your December 15, 2016, correspondence. We
have not included any personal identifying information on our
response, as you
requested. We spoke with the complainant and
our insured on December 19, 2016, and resolved their concerns
Our
insured purchased a policy on October 31, 2016, and selected to
enroll in automatic paymentsAt the time of sale, we confirmed with
the complainant that they only wanted to make the first payment and
advised that the insured would need to change the payment
information after the policy was set up if they did not want to
continue to withdraw payments from the complainant's account. We
do not have record of our insured contacting us again with new
payment information. Therefore, on November 21, 2016, we
issued a bill reflecting the December 1, 2016, scheduled payment
extraction for $93.73. On December 1, 2016, the monthly
installment was withdrawn from the account on file. The
complainant contacted us on December 5, 2016, advising he did not
authorize the payment of $93.73. He also requested his
account information to be removed from our insured’s policy and
requested a refund for the $
We
regret there was a misunderstanding and we have agreed to refund the
$and we have requested a bank statement to confirm whether any
overdraft fees were incurred. Our insured has also agreed
to make a replacement payment on December 23, 2016. We
removed the complainant's account information from our insured’s
policy and no future payments will be withdrawn from their
account. If additional information is needed to close your
file, please contact Joy K*** at ###-###-#### or

Dear ***,
This is in response to your March 30, correspondence
On March 17, 2014, *** obtained several quotes on GEICO.com and entered his payment information to purchase a policy at a six month premium of $with a down payment of $147.59. Before processing the payment, we confirmed the driving records he reported by ordering a motor vehicle report and a claim loss underwriting report. The reports revealed additional driving activity which resulted in a higher 6-month premium.
We presented *** with a page displaying the new 6-month premium of $1,481.60, payment plan options, potential reasons for the price change, and the option to continue to purchase the policy. He elected to continue with the policy purchase and we processed the down payment of $at 2:58:PM. The policy was issued to be effective March 19, 2014. *** called us at 3:PM on March 17, 2014 to cancel the policy. The cancellation was processed as he requested. The payment of $was returned to his account ending in on March 22, 2014.
We strive to make every quote as accurate and competitive as possible. However, a customer’s initial rate quote is based on the accuracy of the information they provide when completing our online questionnaire. We appreciate ***’s interest in obtaining coverage with GEICO; however, we are not responsible for the overdraft fees he incurred. If additional information is needed to close your file, please contact *** *** at ###-###-#### or ***
