I hired Jupiter Tequesta Plumbing to do some work on my water heater. During the work the plumber damaged my property leaving a hole in my ceiling
On Friday August 2nd the Jupiter Tequesta Plumber Ezra came to my property to do some work on my water heater in my attic. During that work Ezra stepped through the plaster and put a hole in my attic leading into the ceiling of that bathroom of the master bedroom. Ezra admitted to the damage and notified me that Jupiter Tequesta would pay to repair the damage. He phoned it in that day while still on my property and told me someone would contact me on Monday August 5th. I received no contact on Monday the 5th and on Tuesday the 6th I contacted their offices. I was told they were aware of the damage and that a incident ticket was entered and someone from the operations team would be in contact in 48 hours. I received no further contact so on Friday August 9th I contact them again. I asked to speak to the operations manager but was told he was not available and he would contact me back by no later than Tuesday August 13th. By Wednesday August 14th I still had received no calls from Jupiter Tequesta regarding repair of the property damage. I contacted their offices again on Wednesday the 13th and was told I would receive a call back in 10 minutes from the supervisor Devin. When the call did not arrive I contacted them back about 30 minutes later. I was told she was out of the office with no expected return time but she would call me. I proceeded to call 3 more times over a six hour timespan in which all managers and supervisors were in meetings and unavailable to speak. I am now filing a formal complaint on this company as in 2 weeks I have not received any contact regarding repair to the admitted property damage of their employee.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking repair to my property in which both the plumber who caused the damage and the company have admitted they were at fault.

Drywall issue was fixed and job is complete. The Customer Service Manager has been communicating with customer and she is satisfied.

After placing the complaint the company took notice and resolved the issue. I am now satisfied with the resolution.

My air conditioning unit was stopped cooling properly shortly being purchased and t installed. Also, bad workmanship was demonstrated by one of tech.
I purchased and had installed a 16 seer, 5 ton Carrier, air conditioner from Jupiter Tequesta Plumbing and Electric on 12/27/2019 for $6,300.00. The outdoor model number is CA16AXXXXXX and the indoor unit model number is FV4CNB006. A surge protector was included as a part of the comfort system options at the time of the purchase. I first noticed that the air conditioner unit was not cooling properly as early as mid 2017. Two technicians addressed this problem by adding Freon. In mid 2019 another technician came to address the problem of lack of cooling. The technical stated that I need a new evaporation coil. The evaporation coil was replaced at a cost of $630.00 The air conditioner was still not cooling properly even after the evaporation coil replacement.

Desired Outcome

The resolution you are seeking from the business is an assurance that the air conditioning unit's evaporation coil will no longer malfunction, and an extended labor warranty.

FPL Home Services Response • Aug 06, 2019

Hello,

We reviewed your concern and looked into your account. The manufacture warranty you have only covers your for 1 year. That warranty is not through our company. It is with Carrier so we are not able to adjust the labor warranty as requested. The coil has been replaced and unit has been working properly since the install. Due to the customer not being covered under the manufacturer labor warranty we did provide a discount.

Customer Response • Aug 20, 2019

The techician, Joseph, who installed the evaporator demonstrated bad workmanship, and I was not satisfied with the quality of work that was done. The technician, Joseph, on an earlier stated the evaporator coil needed to be replaced. The evaporator coil was then replaced by the same technician, Joseph, on 7/15/2019. The air conditioner still failed to cool the properly after the coil was replaced. I contacted Jupiter Tequesta to address this issue. The same technician was sent back to my home to correct this issue. The technician demonstrated bad workmanship by failing to reattach the panel to air handler properly. A part from the air handler cover was missing, and the panel itself was damaged. Additionally a large amount of water accumulated on the Air Handler platform which is made of particle wood. The technician called back to my home to address these issue. He told me that nothing can be done about the damage panel or the missing part (plug). He used electrical tape to cover areas were air might leak out of the system, and used a wet vac to remove some of the water. This job was not done well. I had finish removing the water and drying the air handler platform on my own, and call Jupiter Tequesta to send a different technician to do the job right. Additionally, the UV light was not installed properly by the first technician, Joseph. I found the bulb of the UV was resting on the evaporator coil as the second technician who came removed the air handler panel. The second technician connected the UV light properly. I have not yet received the new part for the air handler panel, and air is still coming out from the part of the air handler panel that is damaged.

FPL Home Services Response • Aug 23, 2019

I have spoken to this customer and he was upset because we gave him a price for the evaporator coil to be replaced and he never approved it I lower the price to help him out and Joseph installed the coil we had to send Kiriat after him to redo the drain line and to adjust the panel and close a hole that was left open from the horizontal pan that come with all coil and it must be remove on the vertical application like his, Kiriat took care all the concern and we do not have any thin in order for Mr., we have even done a tune up after that in 8-3-19 and everything is working like it supposed to customer write that he want the unit not to break down again and no one can predict if it does or not but at this time is working 100 % like it suppose to

Customer Response • Sep 10, 2019

I am honestly not satisfied with the service nor experience that I received from Jupiter Tequesta Air conditioning and plumbing. In addition to being upset about money for replacing the evaporator coil, I was upset about the fact that the evaporator coil had to be replaced only two years after the purchase of unit. As as matter of fact the technician who serviced my air condition prior to Joseph's first visit stated and wrote on the invoice in that no leaks were detected in in the entire air conditioner unit.

FPL Home Services Response • Sep 17, 2019

as the Services provider, we did not Manufacture the system, there is no way to Guarantee that the a/c will never break down again, The Senior tech that was there found no issue with the ac the only thing was to plugged the opening of the panel where the horizontal pan that the manufacture suggest to be removed any time is installed on vertical application, the panel opening was seal and unit is not leaking, all operation of the ac are normal, no additional part are needed

Customer Response • Sep 29, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The air conditioner still has difficulty cooling the house after both the replacement of the coil and the tune up. For example the outside temperature would be lower than than temperature set on the thermostat inside the house, and my air-conditioner would still turn on struggle to cool my house to the temperature set by the thermostat. In addition, one of the four plugs for the panel openings are missing and the panel itself was bent twisted after the replacement of the evaporator coil. I have a 10 parts warranty. The plug and panel should have been replaced without any hassle. I have been faithfully keeping up with the maintenance of my air conditioning unit since I purchased it. I should not have had to replace a major part like the evaporator coil so early in the life air conditioner in the first place. I would like the missing plug and the panel to be replaced. I need some assurance that would have to make any more major and costly repairs on this air conditioning system any time in the near future. Thank you.

Poor installation of new duct work and installation of new A/C system. Unprofessional installation crew. Bait and switch involving Air handler.
Jupiter Tequesta A/C company installed a new Lennox A/C system and all new ducting at my residence. The installation crew were cursing and using profanity the whole time they were doing the installation. I have a three year old who picked up on this language. The install crew left a bottle of urine in my driveway upon completion of their install. They had to come back multiple times to fix several ducting issues. The ducting was not routed properly, I have rooms that are not blowing any cold air at all, some rooms were blowing too cold, Several of my ducts are sweating condensation because they were never sealed properly. After they had completed the install of the Lennox system they attempted to collect payment and I paid them partially until later that evening when the system stoped
working. I canceled the check and my A/C did not work for the entire weekend. The came and replaced a part that got it running that Monday. They failed multiple inspections before the system finally passed months later. Their customer service is terrible and every time I called them no one was in a rush to correct any of the problems I was having with my system and ducting. They also sold me an air handler with a 6 inch MERV filter but when they came to install my system they had an inferior air handler with a one inch filter that they say Lennox switched to. I have had nothing but problems with this company for well over a year. I still have improperly sealed can ducts that are sweating condensation due to improper installation. I contacted them to resolve the situation and they refused to service my system or have anything to do with taking care of me as a customer.

Desired Outcome

I would like my ducting rechecked and resealed properly.

FPL Home Services Response • Jul 12, 2019

Hello, I do apologize for any inconvenience. Due to the challenges during the install once everything was completed the customer and Jupiter-Tequesta decide they would no longer be doing business with one another. This is a short description to what happened during the install process. We did make repairs and passed *** sold the job as a relocate. When the installers got there, we realized that the spot Don told the customer we would move it to wasn't going to work. I gave him a few options on how we could get it done another way but he was adamant about putting it where Don told him it would go. He was not cooperative. Long story short, we got a structural engineer involved and got it to work in that spot. The job had a few issues along the way that were all addressed, but it did take a while to get everything complete. He took advantage of that and started with the demands. Greg Angell dealt with him a lot more than I did so I don't know how all of the conversations went. I do know that we ended up giving him thousands of dollars back, along with uv's and a micro power guard filter I believe, and told him that we would cut ties with him and he agreed.

I PURCHAED A NEW AIR CONDITIONER ON 4/05/2019 A U/V SCRUBBER WAS RETURNED WITH A PROMISE OF $800. TO BE RETURNED. NO RETURN HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

Good morning,

I want to apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced and I hope we have satisfied your complaint. We had on field supervisor go out on 6/21 and reinstall the thermostat so it is secured on the wall. I also reached out to accounting about compensation for drywall repair. The money went back onto your visa card. I emailed Mr. the invoice from that transaction as well. If you have any further questions please let me know. Thank you.

The Response has been acceptable. Thankyou!

Dispute: $100.00 Overcharge for Falsified Products.

I had an electric short and the company send 2 electricians to fix that.
That wall plate has 2 switches. We removed the dimmer that might have caused the short.

After they fixed the short, I gave one of the electricians 1 new toggle switch, belonging to me.
He asked me if he should put an additional toggle switch, to replace the dimmer that we removed.
I told him no, since I was planning to get a new dimmer.
He specifically told me that I don't have to worry since this will be free. I wasn't worried.

I didn't see the bill I signed, since they were not able to print it out off the tablet.
Since I have used this company before I trusted the bill, although it did seem a little high.
When I paid, I only saw the signature portion and had no idea what I signed for until I received an 'email invoice'.
When I saw the detailed bill I found out that they charged me, in addition to the actual required work, for 2 toggles ? 1 that was mine and, the 2nd one that I specifically asked them not to install.

I called and messaged the company numerous times, they said they will get back to me, but they did not. 3 weeks have already passed, and I haven't heard from them.
A. They basically sold me back, for $50.00, my own product !!!!
B. They sold me (THE FREE ONE) for an ADDITIONAL $50.00 a product that costs $5.00
in the Home Depot, that I have many of them at home anyhow, although I told them I don't
need it since I'm installing my own dimmer and not a regular toggle.

Note:
I told them that I will return the one toggle to them. they can come and pick it up.
It is still waiting for them.
Product_Or_Service: Fix An electric short
Account_Number: XXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I did contact the Credit company about this dispute since Jupiter Tequseta gave me no other choice.

Didn't finish the repair and left holes on the wall
It has been more than 2 months since I filed a claim through my HomeServe home repair coverage. This plumbing company has came to my house at least 5 times, last time they began to make holes on the wall to identify the leak but when they knew how much they will get paid from the insurance company, decided not to continue the repair and just left everything unfinished.

I have reached to the company several times the "manager"Ed is hiding behind his employees and he has never taken or returned any of my calls.

HomeServe tells me that they already paid the plumbing company and that is why they can't send another company to finish the job.

Terrible service from Jupiter Tequesta and the manager is useless.

Desired Outcome

I just want the leak fixed and whatever restoration needs to be done as a result of their job to be restored. I don't want to pay other contractor to patch the holes on the wall they have done trying to identify the leak.

FPL Home Services Response • May 17, 2019

Thank you so much for reaching out to us and giving us the opportunity to return to your home to correct the concerns. Jupiter-Tequesta sent one of our senior plumbers back out to the home yesterday. He was able to get to the leak and make the repair. There is no longer a leak and the meter is no longer spinning.

On 01/2/2019 I had some plumbing work done to my home by Jupiter Tequesta which resulted in a leak. The manager never returned my call re: repairs.
On 01/2/19 I had two upstairs toilets repaired by *** from Jupiter Tequesta. He replaced some parts on both toilets which resulted in me paying $503. On 03/03/19, I noticed water leaking from my kitchen ceiling. I went upstairs and discovered that the same toilet that *** repaired was now leaking all over the bathroom. I took corrective action to turn the toilet off and place a bucket under the valve that *** replaced. The water was still leaking so I had to continuously dump the bucket until I could get the leak repaired. I contacted Jupiter Tequesta the next day and informed them of the issue. On 03/04/19, Jupiter Tequest sent a different technician out, at my request, and replaced the parts that *** had put on with new parts. The manager, ***, assured me that he would call me to have the drywall guy come out and look at my kitchen ceiling once he his technician reported back to him after the repair. I did not hear from *** all week. I called *** twice after this incident and both times was told to leave a message because he was in a meeting. To this day, I still have not heard back from ***. My ceiling is damaged and I still don't know if there is mold growing in the ceiling due to the leaking toilet that was not properly repaired the first time. The initial invoice number is XXXXXXXX. I was told by the 2nd technician that I would receive a 2nd invoice for the 03/04/19 repair but I never did. I was new customer and thought I was dealing with a reputable company but now regret my decision of using them for my repair.

Desired Outcome

Due to damage and lack of customer service by Jupiter Tequesta, I have lost complete confidence in this company. At this time, I am requesting a full refund of $503 and to cancel the plumbing subscription that I signed up for.

FPL Home Services Response • Mar 18, 2019

Jupiter-Tequesta is issuing her a full refund of $503.00 for the work that was not done correctly. We are also sending the drywall company out to fix anything that is damaged.

Customer Response • Mar 25, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the response from this business. I received a full refund, as stated, and the drywall company repaired the damage to my ceiling to my satisfaction. Thanks.

We bought an HAVAC system with new duct work in the attic. The system has been leaking and has ruined flooring and mold is growing in the attic.
We purchased a new HVAC system and duct work system from Jupiter Tequesta Air in September 2017, The installation was a nightmare for many reasons but primarily because Jupiter Tequesta Air failed to file for the permit..... We then had to deal with an incorrect layout for the duct work in the attic, the team made and left a complete disaster of my home including leaving cigarette butts all over my drive way along with a handful of screws. They did not use drop cloth over my furniture and dropped insulation and drywall debris on my furniture and rugs, they did not use contractor paper on my floors, they completely disrespected my home and property. Some of my vents were replaced and there were large holes left in my ceilings in five rooms, which I had to hire and pay to be fixed by a professional drywall repair company. Once we got past the install the permit remained open for months and months, we called repeatedly to Jupiter Tequesta to have them schedule the final inspection. The code inspector reluctantly passed *** inspection and closed out the permit. In January 2019 (barely a year later) we noticed condensation leaking from one of the copper lines due to improper wrapping with the black flex foam, this leak ruined the wood floors which run continuous from inside the closet throughout the bedroom. Additionally our pest control service brought to our attention that the moisture level in our attic was extremely elevated, this warning prompted us to hire an inspector to come and inspect the attic. We have discovered through this inspection that the duct work is leaking in multiple places, the support straps have broke and the proper supports for the junction boxes are not installed and MOLD is growing in multiple locations where the ducts are leaking. I called Jupiter Tequesta in January 2019 to advise Jupiter Tequesta air of these issues and they offered to charge us for a service call. After many calls to request a warranty call they eventually agreed to send out a Tech. The Tech came out on Jan 26, 2019 and spent some time in the attic, took notes drafted an outline of the duct work and left. We assumed we would hear back from someone but of course in common with their typical lack of concern, they have not called us back. This is our final notice to Jupiter Tequesta to correct their negligent installation and fix the damages caused by their negligence. They hold themselves out as professional air conditioning installers and have a duty to perform in a professional workmanship type manner and not to cause harm or damage to my home. They failed to properly install the HVAC and duct work systems, subsequently causing the leak and the moisture elevation in my attic which has led to damages to my floor and MOLD in the attic which has ruined my insulation system, not to mention the lost efficiencies I was expecting from a new system such as this one. The entire purchase from this company has been an EPIC FAIL!

Desired Outcome

We want the damage which was caused to the bedroom floor paid for and we need the duct work in the attic to be sealed, the now molded insulation to be removed, mold remediation in the attic, and replacement insulation installed in the attic. If these damages are not paid for and the system is not repaired, My next step is to hire a private adjuster to determine the amount of damages so that we may take the next step towards resolution.

We have made contact with the customer. We will be sending out Quality Senior technician out to the home to evaluate the issues caused. Once it is evaluated the install department will be going out to make the repairs. The customer spoke with our install manager today.

FPL Home Services Response • Apr 26, 2019

Jupiter-Tequesta AC sent out an install crew on April 19th. We fixed all duct work and A/C related issues such as securing the straps in the attic. Also, we have provided the customer with our contractors phone number that will repair floor damage at no charge to the customer.

Unsatisfactory product and job not Finnish
We called Jupiter-Tequesta air conditioning, plumbing and electric Inc. to maintenance my AC at the beginning last year-2018; the company representative ***, recommended us to upgrade our AC system to a newer version that will provide us with a cooler house and help us to save some money on electricity. On October our heater broke and we decided to called Jupiter-Tequesta company for an estimate on October 15, 2018 (see attachment). PB-XXXXXX- PB-XXXXXX. We bought a new AC, new water heater and did electrical upgrade on November 18, 2018. Job # XXXXXXXX-Invoice 7912. We paid $9,500.00 with a credit card they recommended (Synchrony Bank) since day one, we started having issues with the equipment. We called the company, they sent someone to find out that there was a pizza box left inside the unit and some duck work not done. They fixed the issue, the next day I called again because the AC unit was not cooling; they sent another technician Brian Kirchberger, that explained to us that we have a less powerful unit and for that reason it was not going to cool the house any more than the old one. The technician said that he needs to discuss the issue with the manager and let us know what will be the next step. After a couple weeks of waiting, I called them again and they sent a different technician. He checked the AC unit and left some screws on the floor without fixing anything. I called again and they told me that they will change the unit or refund us the money. It has been almost three months and I still have not heard from Jupiter-Tequesta, neither got an inspection for the job done.
I contacted Jupiter-Tequesta air conditioning, plumbing and electric Inc. several times and explained that product was unsatisfactory, failure to receive an appropriated response to this problem has prompted to me to write directly to you.

Desired Outcome

I would like for Jupiter-Tequesta air conditioning, plumbing and electric Inc. to send me a replacement product, if the product cannot be replaced, I would like for Jupiter-Tequesta air conditioning, plumbing and electric Inc. to refund the full purchase price $ 9500.00.

FPL Home Services Response • Mar 07, 2019

We have attempted to contact customer to go over the next steps. The install manager will continue to reach out to the customer. We would like to have a sit down meeting with her to see if we can find a solution for the current system we installed in her home or if she would like to have the system removed and the amount in full refunded. We are seeing which option the customer would like to move forward with.

Customer Response • Mar 20, 2019

Greg from Jupiter Tequesta called me on Thursday, March 7th, I returned his phone call Friday, March 8th and the 11th. We finally meet on Tuesday, March 12th to go over the AC unit issue, he inspected the system and told me that they were going to replace the AC unit they had just installed and place new ducts in the house to fix the problem. He called on Friday, march 15th and told me "the new AC was bigger than the one they installed" and they will need to move the new water heater, they installed on November, 2018 (same time they installed the AC unit). He said the company will send a plumber on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 10-12pm; to find a new place for the water heater. Sev showed up at 11:00 and did not have a clue why he was there. I explained him that the water heater needs to be moved to another place, because the company needed to installed a new AC and both units won't fit in the closet anymore; (I want to make a note: the water heater I was supposed to get the first time it was bigger than the one I got; and I ended up with a small unit because the company did not make the right calculations) I showed him the second option and he got upset and told me that it was too much work, and the logical place was the closet were it was before; I explained to him that I paid the company to move the water heater, I paid them to change the electricity in the new place and it was not right. He stormed out my house and under his breath used profanity (that I am not going to used in this form). I immediately called the office ask for a manager but no manager was available as always. I told the receptionist that this is not the way to handle business, he (Sev) was very disrespectful, and I need a manager to call me and solve this issue as soon as possible.

Final Consumer Response /(2000, 80, 2019/09/09) */

They were great Joe was right on time. He was very helpful and efficient Robin in the office was wonderful in scheduling around work..

Still waiting for parts

I have been a customer for many years and until now very happy with their service. I had my air conditioning serviced by them this week. Normally the routine service takes 45 minutes. This time the tech did it in 20 minutes. He then tried to sell me a surge protection service even though my house has one. He kept asking if I was sure that I didn't want what he was selling and that my house was at risk. It made me uncomfortable and I think he rushed through the service call then sat outside in his truck for another 20 minutes before driving off. This company usually provides great service, though not this time.

Don was prompt, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable when he came to provide a quote on a new system.

We use Jupiter Tequesta for all our plumbing and air conditioning services and repairs. They are
always pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. We had some plumbing work done last week by Bradley P. and were very satisfied. We highly recommend him and all the A/C and plumbing
professionals we have dealt with from Jupiter Tequesta.

Our AC failed us and we called company we were using for service. They did NOT respond.
We called Jupiter Tequesta AC, and Jimmy was here in about one hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem, told us the cost to repair, we asked him to fix it and he did, most professionally. We now have Jupiter Tequesta AC as our AC company. Thank you, Jimmy!

Best service ever...Always on time, helpful, knowledgeable, and curtious

J-T A/C arrived on time, very knowledgeable, understood my problem and assembled information to come up with a plan that would suite me.
Wendell s represents your company well. After leaving my home he proceded to his shop where he discussed the plan. Called me and kept me in the loop. We came to an agreement all in short time. Very efficient people, Highly recommended!
