(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)There were 3 additional refunds. 840, 2120 and 200. Square is now holding these funds ever thought I insured a refund for these ammounts to the customer . If I've authorized the refund, why is square making the customer wait until the dispute process to receive their money. Illegal

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/26) */
Hello,
Upon further investigation, a member of Square's Account Services team reviewed your account and elected to terminate the account in accordance with Article 42 of the Square Seller Agreement: "We may terminate this Agreement and close...

your Square Account for any reason or no reason at any time upon notice to you. We may also suspend the Services and access to your Square Account (including the funds in your Square Account) if you (a) have violated the terms of this Agreement, any other agreement you have with Square, or Square's policies, (b) pose an unacceptable credit or fraud risk to us, or (c) provide any false, incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information or otherwise engage in fraudulent or illegal conduct."
Article 43 further states that: "We will not be liable to you for compensation, reimbursement, or damages in connection with your use of the Services, or in connection with any termination or suspension of the Services. Any termination of this Agreement does not relieve you of any obligations to pay any Fees or costs accrued prior to the termination and any other amounts owed by you to us as provided in this Agreement."
The decision to deactivate your account is final. Any funds currently in your account will be held for 90 days from the date of the deactivation. If you do not wish to wait the 90 days, you may issue a refund at any time within 60 days of the date of the transaction. To learn more about issuing refunds, please reference this article found on the online Help Center: https://help.squareup.com/customer/portal/articles/XXXXXX-how-do-i-process-a-ref... /> For security purposes, Square cannot disclose further details regarding the reason for account deactivation.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/10/22) */
Still holding funds in violation of contract. No contact number. Possiable Fraud
As with all other complaints. Square has kept monies collected from my customers as the 90 day window approaches I attempted to call Square to inquire about the release date of my funds. I was asked for my cr. I supplied the number given to me as a cr per square XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. I was informed that that is no longer a valid account number. Square has over 3,000 of my money. If you can not help me I will contact the state attorney for CA. as well as the FCC.
Like everyone whom has been victimized by this company I would like the monies they have unlawfully taken!
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2015/11/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The only way I will accept this resolution is if in fact Square deposits the funds in the account on NOVEMBER 9, 2015! Due to the fact there is no way for "deactivated" customers to contact square to confirm I still feel obligated to keep the complaint open until we have received our funds.
Thank you for your help.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2015/11/16) */
Square has deposited the funds as of 11/9/15 for $1947.87, $1476.30 and $14.59. Please refer to the latest email from Square with any additional questions or concerns.

How can I send this to two different people this was my FIRST time using this app I do not know anyone else who uses this app. Why can't you all as the app and supposed professionals assist individuals in locating and recouping money??? Terrible terrible terrible. Sincerely,[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/10/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
My business is two second hand retail store fronts. We are a mostly cash business. We found that the square fit the business well because occasionally we had to accept debit and credit cards.
Square Inc waited until I had a balance of more than $1,100.00 and then informed me by email that my account was frozen and that I would not have access to my capitol for 6 months. They have no appeal process and no account manager assigned to my case. There is no one you can call.
I will make absolutely sure that no business person I talk to will ever make the mistake of using the square as their point of sale provider.
Come to my store and I will sell you a rocking chair for $40.00 cash.
The Square is the high risk business.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. As of today, my account was credit for the missing funds and this is has been resolved. Sincerely, [redacted]

It sounds likely you may have received someone else’s receipt by mistake. When a payment is completed using Square, customers can receive an email or text message receipt. If an email address or phone number is entered incorrectly, the receipt may be sent to the wrong recipient. This receipt doesn’t...

indicate that your card was charged. It only means this email address or phone number was entered for receipt delivery. To unlink your email address, click the “Not your receipt?” link on the bottom of the receipt you received. If this is the first receipt you receive from Square, you’ll also see a Don’t Recognize This Charge link at the top of the receipt. Both will unlink your email address from the payment card so that you won’t mistakenly receive receipts meant for someone else. For any additional assistance in unlinking your email from a receipt, you will have to reach out to Square directly. https://squareup.com/help/us/en

Hello, you can contact Square directly through Square's official website to resolve your issue. A customer code can be generated for you through here: https://squareup.com/help/us/en

he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What kind of response is this?? It's a non-response. This is unacceptable! I haven't received what is owed to me and they're not doing anything to rectify it.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/04/04) */
Please refer to the email correspondence between you and Square on 3/29/16. The message states: "I can confirm that this user signed up using another email address or phone number. After looking at your account again I noticed that you will be ineligible for any manual referrals in the future so the only way for you and your referee's to receive the $5 bonus would be to follow the procedure correctly."
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/04/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They have absolutely not resolved this. Everyone I've referred has signed up using my custom referral link and they refuse to pay the referral fee. Their email correspondence do not resolve anything. I've given them all the info they've asked for. This is a terrible company with terrible customer service that does not deliver what is promised.

Square wanted to let you know that the hold on your Square account has expired, and your funds have been deposited to your linked bank account. Please note that your account status remains unchanged. Square appreciates your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thanks for getting back in touch. Unfortunately, our decision to deactivate your account is final. Due to the obligations of our agreements with card networks and other financial institutions, we cannot reverse this decision and are unable to provide additional details. If you’d prefer to receive...

funds more quickly, you can consider refunding the payments back to the original cards and seeking alternate forms of payment. You can process a full or partial refund directly from Square Register on your iPad, smartphone, or the "Transactions tab":https://squareup.com/dashboard/sales/transactions from your online Square Dashboard. The full amount of a refund is held in your Square balance until the refund is complete. Refunds typically take 2 business days to process but can take up to 7 business days. The fees are covered by Square, and the full purchase amount is always returned to your customer. All refunds must be issued within 60 days of the payment date. If the 60 day time limit has passed, you'll need to refund your customer outside of Square. For further information about our policies, you can review the Square Seller Agreement on our website (https://squareup.com/legal/seller-agreement).Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this...

response because:
This is the order of what’s happening: 7/31/ 17, I sold a vehicle to a customer named [redacted], who used 2 [redacted] credit card to pay and we used Square to process the transaction. 8/14/17, the customer [redacted] called [redacted] and said he had no knowledge of the purchased transaction. In between this time, I spent a lot of money to track down the customer and collecting as much evidence as I can. 11/4/17, we gotten the letters from [redacted] sending to [redacted] that the sale transaction was valid. 11/7/17, Square said it’s only preliminary decision, they need a cancellation letter . 11/9/17, Square said that, via [redacted] payment tech, [redacted] decided in the customer’s favor and even suggested us to go sue [redacted]. 11/10/17 we emailed square cancellation letter that said [redacted] cancelled the disputes. 11/21/17 square emailed me and said,"I reviewed both cases, as of today I do not show a reversal being processed for either of the corresponding sequence numbers provided. Unfortunately because they are past time frame I am not able to attach the documents & attempt. If the letters were recently received, it may still be that the reversals have yet to be finalized & I may request additional time for us to receive those funds. Unfortunately, this process at times can be weeks for it to be finalized."Prior to the cancellation letter that I sent, I also emailed you a letter that said [redacted] decided in our favor. You guys should have seen it. So we should have basically won, so I don’t understand why is there even a reversal necessary? Don’t you see the letter that said [redacted]’s transaction is valid. From the beginning, we already have letter that said we won, so why [redacted] has to finalize the reversal when there shouldn’t be one? I already contacted [redacted] and we 3 way conference call to [redacted] and was told that we won the case. So I don’t understand how you guys said via [redacted] payment tech that we lost. Now you’re waiting to see a reversal. Why the reversal is even necessary when I have a letter that said I won. I already requested to 4 way conference call before with Square disputes  when I call square disputes but [redacted] (the square dispute team member) refused to do it as he said he’s not allowed to. [redacted] just want to hang up on me all the time. So how am I going to solve this problem? If this situation continues like this, how am I going to ever get my money back? Also,  I don’t know how you guys communicate so easily to withdraw money from my bank account and when I won the case, I am still not getting my money back. Shouldn’t you already see that this is a legit transaction and shouldn’t you just credit us first then you go after [redacted] to get the money back? Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I reached out to them on Jan 9th alerting them to suspicious activity on my account and they still didnt catch that someone changed my bank account number and the name on the account while I was booted out of the system. I finally after trying for days to get someone on the phone got ahold of them to let them know that someone was stealing from me and it still took pressure from me to get it corrected. They tout a 24/7 fraud watch but I didnt even get allerted about a bank change or the name on my account being changed to a clearly very different person. They dropped the ball big time and now are trying to pretend it all my fault?  No way they need accountability if they are dealing with thousands of peoples accounts, money and credit cards, their behavior is unexceptableSincerely,Natalie [redacted]
