I am rejecting this response because: they are lying. We did not receive the credit. We were told in May that we would be given a $150 credit. We have never received any paperwork or receipt o transaction verification. Our credit card kept getting charged so that we had to cancel the card to stop the erroneous billing.
Hello,According to your email, it sounds as if you cancelled your membership with FITNESS 19. Unfortunately, Fitness Evolution does not have a record of your cancellation with another company. If you can forward over proof of cancellation with Fitness 19, we are happy to clear the balance. If you...
are unable, we are willing to settle your Fitness Evolution account for $42. This would be 90 days of past dues and we will waive any additional fees.
Hi [redacted], your one and only payment was returned from the bank. We also waived your 30-day notice to cancel as a courtesy.
I am rejecting this response because: These people are not telling the truth. They are clearly covering up there mistake by making up outrageous allegations that are far from the truth. I have requested to speak to corporate on multiple occasions, asked to meet in person to make sure that who staff are saying my friend is a trainer is the right person, and I have yet to get a response. I get pushed in circles in hopes that I will give up. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get any phone numbers to Corporate from this business making it very hard to resolve anything! I asked that my wife gets her refund for her pre paid members for the year and I get my membership cancelled without having to go to the gym in person, or get a motorized letter, or any other obstacle this company makes you go through to leave. I have been though enough at this point and if they can make that happen I will refrain from further interaction with this company. My wife's membership is under her phone number in which I previously provided- [redacted] . Mine is under [redacted]. My wife's Check can be made out to her -[redacted]Thank you in advance,[redacted]
Hi,I apologize for the late response. I have been reviewing your accounts from March 15, 2015 to March 16, 2016. For [redacted] and [redacted], I show all the of the monthly charges and annual fees just as you mentioned in your email. Nothing additional was charged during that time period. I can...
forward you the transaction histories for both accounts. If you could please forward me the document showing the additional charges, it will be very helpful. On 4/20/16 I do show that both of your accounts have a declined payment. It was unclear in your email whether or not you cancelled both memberships in the spring, if so, we do not have any record of a cancellation notice being received for either [redacted] or [redacted]. If you have proof of cancellation, can you please forward it to me in your Revdex.com response. Also, while reviewing your account, I did find a third person attached to your billing, [redacted]. Could this add on to your membership be the additional charges you are speaking of? Thank you.
The Fort Washington location has been purchased by Planet Fitness. With the purchase: memberships continue at the same location under the same terms & conditions, as stated in the Membership Agreement. Those terms & conditions will be managed by Planet...
Fitness moving forward.
Hi, I apologize for any confusion. I have attached a copy of the personal training agreement. It looks like you signed up on a month to month contract, which was why there was a charge on 3/1. I do show you came in on 3/7 regarding charge. We will waive the 30 day notice, and offer a refund for...
April and May's charges. The current account is cancelled. A refund form is attached. Please return it to us via your Revdex.com response or email it directly to [redacted]Thank you.
Attached is the refund form, please return signed and a copy of your id. Once I receive the form signed I will process the refund.
I believe this complaint to be a contract issue. I looked up fitness evolution on the internet because one had just opened up in Carmichael, CA. The website was very promising, it showed it had all the amenities including a full court basketball court. I went to sign up on Dec 22nd 2014. The place was still under construction, they were updating an old gym into the new Evolution Fitness. I was showed around. The young sales woman convinced me they were taking over the lease of the building next door to add the full court basketball court by April 2015. I was sold on the idea. As the months passed no progress was made. I feel the sales associate lied to me so I would sign up with her right then and there. Looking back I should have figured they get a sales incentive because of how aggressive her sales tactics were. For the most part [redacted] agreed with me and refunded some of the monthly dues, however Fitness Evolution feels they are still entitled to a the "Rate Guarantee fee" of $63.99. I would like this amount refunded as they did not follow through with the sales associates verbal agreement.
Hi [redacted]. I see that your final payment was made the day you cancelled. We apologize that your cancellation wasn't processed properly and have attached a refund form for the charges. Please sign and return to me and I will expedite your check.
We will only be refunding the amount of $132, attached is the proof the amount has been refunded.
Correct. Fitness Evolution does not own, or operate, the membership or facility at Fort Washington. Planet Fitness owns the club in Fort Washington: you will need to contact them for membership inquiries, cancellations, etc; otherwise, you're membership with them may continue. Thank you.
I am rejecting this response because:I sent Fitness Evolution the form that is required to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, I did not get a tracking number from the post office because I wasn't told that I needed to include a tracking number. If I did, I would have done it. They just told me to send in the form and that's all I needed to do. I'm being penalized and I have a collection notice in my credit report because I didn't include a tracking number? How is that for? I have not used there services since it has been called fitness evolution. I was signed up with Bally and closed my membership when it was still Bally. I refuse to pay for services I have never used. I want this membership closed and the collection reporting removed from my credit report now. This cannot be valid and fair business practice.
I do apologize for the delayed response. The membership has been terminated effective the end of August and no further charges will be on the account.
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/16) */
I do not show this member in our database. I noticed the address is Monticello. there is a Fitness evolution in Monticello, that is NOT OWNED BY OUR COMPANY. Please REMOVE this complaint from our Revdex.com score and account and transfer members...
complaint to the Fitness Evolution company in Monticello, MN. Thank you
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2015/07/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I emailed fitness evolution via their website on multiple occasions about closing our account way before April 2015, and never heard a reponse back. I called in April about over a years worth of charges for mine and my partners account and was told we weren't even in their database. My response was, we should be refunded for all the charges then. From there I got an email to close our accounts but our accounts should have been closed over a year ago. It was my understanding, when I emailed Fitness Evolution to close our accounts, they would have been closed, seeing I never got an email response to make any further action vs being charged for services we never used and thought we had a close account with.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2015/07/13) */
We unfortunately have no email record from our website that member tried contacting us. we have cancelled members acct and removed the balance on her acct. If she has a record of the email she sent us that shows the date it was sent to our website we can review it for any refund necessary.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I truly hope things get better for this gym location.Thank you.
I understand the original agreement was with [redacted], however, the policy to terminate the membership remained the same. The request needs to be sent via certified mail. The membership has been terminated and no further charges have been assed to the account.
I just got an response to my complaint that they are looking into it. The message said I have to respond within 7 days or my complaint will be closed. I received the refund form from Fitness Evolution, signed and mailed it back to them certified mail, along with a request to cancel my gym membership. I received an email from them advising that the refund can take up to 30 days to be processed. So that will be around Thanksgiving. They also advised that my gym membership will be canceled as of 12/15/16. I would like this complaint to be open until I make sure that they don't take money from my account on 12/15/16. Thanks [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: As I previously stated, I had paid my last full payment in cash. There was no roll over balance owed. I had no other financial means at that time to keep the membership open. I had declared that at that time. I have nothing to do with what any of fitness evolution staff members enter into their notes. I didn't know this was part of the members responsibility. It was clear enough at that time for me that the account was closed. Why would this business wait a year later to contact its member and say by the way "you owe"? On an account that no longer existed...
This member’s issue has been resolved directly with her over email with [redacted] at the corporate office. The company will be issuing a refund.
