I’m a little concerned about the first 10 reviews I read after activating my account today. I would appreciate if a supervisor would call me and assure me that what happened to those 10 people will not happen to me. If I do not hear from someone I will seriously think about looking elsewhere. Thank you
Endurance has been a phenomenal company to work with. They have been consistent and extremely helpful.
I think it is odd that there is one customer service rep that is lauded over and over. I actually believe that this rep added her own review. Either that or they only have 10 employees.
Deceptive advertising at its best. Received a letter today RE: 2020 Price Increase.
The letter states:
" Let Endurance put your vehicle back under coverage at current Employee Pricing. By contacting us now you can avoid the price increase and still cover your investment from the high cost of these unexpected repairs".
Received a letter inferring our current warranty extension on our newly purchased auto would increase in price. The words "back under" infer a loss of current coverage, which is not true. This letter is deceptive and misleading. The very tiny print at the bottom of the letter is the only place where the word "advertisement" is used. The public auto buyer should be made aware of this slick attempt to acquire business through some misleading wording.
As the consumer has no "Desired Settlement" other than the generation of the complaint, Endurance believes that this complaint is beyond the purview of the Revdex.com.We are sorry for the frustration that Endurance's mail piece caused the consumer, and as a result of the consumer's complaint, our company placed the consumer on our internal "Do Not Mail" database to ensure that they do not receive any future direct mail advertisements from our company. Please allow up to 10 business days to process this request. The consumer may still receive additional mail pieces sent during the processing time.
I received a letter stating that there will be a rate increase on my EVSP effective February 13, 2020. I do not own an Endurance Warranty so I called and gave the lady the Customer Code provided in my letter. When I heard the call may be recorded, I started to record it myself. She tried to get the name of my Warranty company from me and what type of coverage I have, I did not give it. I told her to remove me from the mailing list and she told me to "simply disregard the letter." I told her to just remove my info from list and she tried to talk over me and I stated that I am recording this and will file a complaint and to just remove me from mailing list. I hung up. I do not want nor do I have an Endurance Warranty Policy. I simply want my information removed from their database. How do they have my information? Do I have to worry that a policy will mysteriously just show up in my name now that the lady I spoke with didn't get the last word? I do not trust this kind of company behavior. Remove my information from the database.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I received a misleading letter in the mail this week. The letter arrived in an envelope that had 2020 stamped on the outside like it might be a tax document. The letter stated "There will be a Price Increase to our Extended Vehicle Service Plans (EVSP) effective February 6, 2020. After that date we will not be able to honor the service contract pricing designed specifically for your 20-- F F." This language is deceptive. In addition, there is a "Customer Code" listed a few times on the letter which makes you believe you're a customer. This can be especially deceptive if you do have a service plan with another company (that I didn't specifically remember the name of, but that I had paperwork on from when I bought the car), which I did. My service plan is called Vehicle Protection Plan. So you can see how this may be confusing,
My initial reaction was assuming that this was the company I have an extended plan with. "If you're not able to honor the plan I paid for when I purchased my car, then I want my money back." After speaking on the phone with a customer service representative, it became clear that this was misleading that the document was meant as an advertisement. In addition, the support representative told me that there were recalls on my car that there are not.
As far as I'm concerned, Endurance Warranty Services uses deceptive practices in order to pray on people who may not be as keenly aware. The document, in small print, at the bottom, says "This is an advertisement to obtain coverage."
In addition, I used a phone number on their website to opt out of mail/calls in the future. That phone number, which is different from the one on the letter, led me to customer service. Because I was not a customer, they "couldn't find" my information. I had to give them the "customer code" from the letter for them to find my information so that I could be removed.
I'm 36 and grew up with all kinds of Internet scamming. I worry about these letters praying on those who cannot distinguish the difference.
I have never received the letter that was received from ENDURANCE (2020 Vehicle Notification Department), 400 Skokie Blvd, Suite 105, Northbrook, IL 60062 like this before. This is the first time I received the notification. I want to know why anyone who does this sent it to me as this is a scam letter??? And, how does anyone who is involved know who am I or force to notify me about EVSP contract???
Absolute garbage. Just like some of the other reviews say this company is very deceptive. You go into a shop expecting to get something covered and absolute nothing is covered whatsoever. If any repair whatsoever has anything to do with a seal or a leak or a valve or anything like that it, which they could argue about every repair needed, the entire repair will not be covered. Do not purchase from this company.
We put our vehicle in the shop for a repair. We were informed that the vehicle required replacement of piston rings and spark plugs. We gave the repair facility the contact info for our warranty coverage. We were informed by the repair facility that Endurance asked how much was their hourly fee. Then Endurance told the repair shop "*** of Joliet" 3225 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435 (815) 439-2222 to have me drive the vehicle for another thousand miles and then bring it back. I placed a call to Endurance and informed them the vehicle is use to transport my family and with the current temperature at or slightly above freezing, we do not feel safe using this vehicle with the possibility of a breakdown at any given moment. Also it states in the contract book that if you continue driving the vehicle while impaired, Endurance will not be responsibly for any damage to the said vehicle. The is the second time Endurance refused to repair my vehicle. The first time "2017" the alternator failed and Endurance claimed that a oil leak caused the alternator to fail. We paid $3450.00 for this warranty and was assured that anything listed as "covered" in the book would be covered. But this company does everything they can to get out of paying for the covered repairs.
Hello,
At this time Endurance has reached out to the consumer and reached a resolution. The consumer is satisfied with the offer of a full refund less claims paid and said they will be closing out the complaint. We appreciate the consumer for choosing Endurance and ope we can still be considered in the future.
Thank you
This company continues to solicit my home when I have opted out of any solicitation by mail or phone https://www.optoutprescreen.com/contact. Their tactics are deplorable. I got two letters from them, they use many different names and numbers to scam innocent people out of money by claiming you have insurance with them and you MUST call and pay the outstanding amount or that the amount has increased on their already existing insurance. THE TRUTH IS, YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE WITH THEM, nor could you.
They are a phishing company, they use the phone and the mail to see if they can get a check from the elderly or the unsuspecting. Many innocent people are hurt by this scam. They pay monthly payments to a fake business. They need to be stopped.
I have complained before and they get off by saying I'm sorry and continuing to break the law. I have saved all the information and intend to file a lawsuit against their company under Illinois law. I have contacted the AG of Illinois to Kwame *** to proceed with prosecuting this company, because I am on every list that prohibits them from soliciting me PERIOD, not by phone, email, or mail and yet they continue.
Please be advised Endurance vehicle service contracts are offered in over 3,000 automobile dealerships as well as direct-to-consumers via the internet, television commercials and direct mail promotions. Endurance is a certified member of the Vehicle Protection Association (VPA) and has been in business since 2006. As a certified member of the VPA, Endurance follows the VPA’s Standards of Conduct. The Standards state that any vehicle service contract selling company must identify itself in the mail piece and Endurance abides by this standard.
Further, Endurance pays millions of dollars in claims each month for thousands of customers. Endurance's Claims Department has won awards for claim adjudication and customer service and all claims requests are administered using state of the art claims administrative software.
Please note, Endurance does not make "cold calls" or any outbound sales call unless specifically requested by a consumer via our online portal. There are many companies in the industry that do not abide by the VPA's Standards of Conduct and may be making unsolicited calls. Endurance understands the frustration that this can cause to the consumer and the confusion that may result when the consumer receives a mail piece from Endurance at the same time as these solicitation calls. Endurance can confirm that any solicitation calls that the consumer received did not originate from Endurance. Endurance recommends that the consumer determine from what company the calls originate and contact that company to ask that they cease. We are sorry for the frustration that Endurance's mail piece caused the consumer, and as a result of the consumer's complaint, our company placed the consumer on our internal "Do Not Mail" database to ensure that they do not receive any future direct mail advertisements from our company. Please allow up to 10 business days to process this request. The consumer may still receive additional mail pieces sent during the processing time.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I never said they called me. They used to call me relentlessly in the past but now they have switch to solicitation by mail. They now send me mail claiming I owe them money for insurance that I have through them.
This is a bold face lie. This is an attempt to get me to pay them for a service I NEVER signed up for, never would. I have insurance with legitimate insurance companies. The response you sent me, is their same blanket response, to every complaint, can I
show you the wording in the solicitation. Read all the other complaints to the Revdex.com about their mode of operation. They are deceitful and corrupt. In the past I have called them and told them to look me up by my name not by the assigned number in the
letter. They can not because I am not one of their customers. They use the numbers assigned in the letter to make up a bogus contract. They are a scam company. I don't care that they say they have done business with 1 billion car garages. This
business is a scam and so are the car businesses involved with them. There are a lot of innocent victims of this company. I WANT THEM TO LEAVE ME ALONE. I do not want any of their mailings, or any mailings from their other pseudo companies. They
use a lot of names, not just Endurance. They use intimidation and lies to imply that you owe their company money. They need to be reported and held accountable.

PLEASE STAY AWAY ! At this point I feel like I was scammed out of my money with this contract. They always find a way to not pay for repair. My current claim has been denied because the claims adjuster states that I do not have coverage for my repairs due to the diagnostic code of failure. THIS IS ***! My mechanic has reported to them clearly that I have a oil leak due to the oil pump leaking which in return causes my gaskets and seals to be affected as well as my timing belt and water pump needs to be replaced. Long story short they keep telling my mechanic that this is not covered!! when I HAVE THE SELECT PREMIER PLAN and it says it is covered unless it is stand alone which is it not. They try to scheme their way out of a claim and it seems like you literally have to say the exact right words in order for them to even come out and look. they just flat out denied my claim did not send in an inspector just DENIED it and kept stating that they do not cover gaskets and seals stand alone but the issue is not stand alone people. In addition I called and spoke with a claims representative fro customers because they are telling my mechanic one thing and myself another , so I called them all on three way and the agent got rude and refused to speak to my mechanic which is odd...and he refused to transfer me to a upper management personnel , he claimed he was a manager and there was no one else to speak with!! ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THESE PEOPLE SCAMMERS!!!Since I have had this warranty they have barely covered anything for my car,I continued to pay because I thought it would be worth it if I had a major breakdown on my car. I have come out of pocket more than they have , they sell false promises. I will be canceling my contract and taking legal and media action soon. This is unfair to customers,, they need to be investigated and shut down. I am a loyal honest paying customer that has been treated with no respect or dignity , they do not have compassion what so ever.
One positive is the towing service and rental car for 5 days but that is if they even pay your claim afterwards.. .This company is not worth a dime investing in... I am so upset at myself that I even spent money on this contract. They will not continue to get away with treating people like this!
I was forced to give a Star Rating. This should be a Zero Stars instead of the One Star you See!
I just Received a letter in the mail from Endurance regarding a price increase on my Extended Vehicle Service Plan (EVSP). I did have to get out my Extended Warranty I purchased this past summer to see if it was the same company, It Wasn't. I couldn't imagine how I could be subject to a Price Increase? The Warranty I purchased was at the Dealership and was a One Time Fee! But I still had to check!
As I can see here many others have received this same letter from Endurance. I'm 100% sure this letter is a Scam, trying to make people panic and do something stupid. I wonder how many people have panicked and paid money to these people? Like many others, I'd too would like to know how they got my Name and Address? I do believe people running these scams should face jail time for the money they are stealing! IMO this is not any different from Breaking into someones house and robbing them!
My name is Tim Pettit and I want to share my story of my first experience with getting service for my vehicle that has a warranty through Endurance. I've had the policy since June and I don't have a high mileage vehicle. It only has 56000 miles. I have all my routine mainteance done on time and through the dealership. I use my vehicle to drive back and forth to work and take my wife who is dieing of cancer to her chemo appointments every 2 weeks. On my last oil change the found that the CV boots were torn and the control arms and front axle shaft were damaged and needed to be replace. I told them that is fine and I have a warranty program through Endurance. Provided them the information so they could contact Endurance for the repairs. When the Service technician called Endurance they insisted I needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership so they could have their "own" inspector come out and inspect the parts. I've had warranties through other companies and never heard of this. It's like they don't trust Factory trained technicians. I explained that I can't afford to be without my vehicle for 2 days while this "inspector" comes out. The dealership was nice enough to let me have a courtesy vehicle while the inspection was done. The 2 days turned out to be more than a week from the time the "inspector" came out and the time he submitted his report back to Endurance and Endurance told the service department they would not pay for the repairs because "as the parts are cracked" they are not completely broken. The Service department called them and explained that if you let them wait longer the damage will be more extensive and you are leaving a customer without transportation. Endurance could have cared less. So if you want a company who is going to leave you stranded by the road with a broken down vehicle by all means chose Endurance. I'm now stuck with driving my vehicle with it making sounds when I make turns, waiting for them to give out while I am driving or paying for the repairs myself. I can only hope this breakdown doesn't occur while I am taking my wife to her chemo appointment.
Deceptive practices with false promises, and worthless customer service. I don't recommend this company to anyone.
Should run from this company. I pay about $90 a month. Had a major engine problem and they denied the claim. It's all in the sneaky wording in the contract. Don't waste your money
Endurance Warranty Service is a “TOTAL” ripoff! They are not honest and have a lot of loop holes as to not be responsible for paying for services. After you have spent many dollars a month to have car protection with them! “FRAUD! Do not do business with these people!
I want Endurance to remove my name from their mailing list. Yesterday I got another letter from “Rebecca ***” about upcoming price increase and I better call 833-201-1651. I have not done business with Endurance and am not interested in any warranty yet I continue to get these unwanted letters.
We are sorry for the frustration that Endurance's mail piece caused the consumer, and as a result of the consumer's complaint, our company placed the consumer on our internal "Do Not Mail" database to ensure that they do not receive any future direct mail advertisements from our company. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

My claim was denied due to issues that I was not at fault for. I had a flat tire in November I took it to a tire repair shop they replaced it and on 1/22/2020 my truck was making a noise on my way to drop off my Children to school I stopped at a mechanic shop near the school thinking it was my brakes come to find out it was my transfer case so I called made a claim got called back 2 days later and was denied because my tire that was replaced was bigger then the regular size tires so one out of 4 was to big which was not my fault the tire repair shop placed that tire and it was also denied because I drove my vehicle but it didn’t start messing up up until I drove which I took it to a shop
Endurance believes that this complaint was filed with the wrong company. The consumer has not had the contract for a year as stated and the consumer listed the salesperson as "***".On 11/15/19, the consumer contacted Endurance and purchased a SmartAuto Premier Plus contract. As of the date of this response, no claim has been filed for this vehicle with the administrator, SmartAuto. In addition, Endurance's last contact with the consumer was in November 2019, to update the correct mileage. Again, no claim has been filed under this contract.
Based on the fact that the consumer stated he has had the contract for "over a year" despite only having it since November 2019, stated that he had a denied claim when no claim has been filed, and listed "***" as the salesperson despite Endurance having no knowledge or connection to that organization, Endurance believes that the consumer has filed this complaint in error against the wrong company.
If the consumer would like to contact Endurance for more information, he may do so at 866-432-4443.
I keep getting letters in the US mail every few months telling me the prices will be raised. They have a customer ID# for me. This is a SCAM. I haven’t owned a car in 5 years!! When I did have a car I never applied to this company for car insurance & never heard Endurance Company name before!! Some kind of SCAM!!
