Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I can tell by this form response that this complaint happens frequently, and the seller has done everything they can to make a sale without any accountability to the buyer.  I see much of what the response says is true, but still believe that using the venue name in the ticketoffice link is unethical, and I don't believe there was any note about 'obstructed view' until the sale was final, despite the sellers claim to the contrary.
Sincerely,
Bryan [redacted]

Thank you for providing this response. Ticket Offices works on the secondary market where we allow sellers to list their tickets through our website. On every page throughout the checkout process we state that we are a resale marketplace, prices may be above face value, and we are not owned by any venue.  The sales terms which were agreed upon, state once an order is submitted, it cannot be cancelled as we must ensure the policies are fair to both parties. As we previously stated, all prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Ticket Offices. As stated on every page of the site, the price is based off the seller's personal assessments regarding a range of market factors which include customer demand. Our customer was required to agree to the "all sales are final" policy and signify their understanding that they may be paying above face value in order to submit their purchase. We maintain that the nature of our customer's purchase were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If they have any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we welcome them to contact our customer service department. RegardsTicket Offices

Thank you for providing this response. Although our customer continues to press forward, we maintain that our unique and independent site thoroughly notifies customers of the nature of their purchase. As we previously clarified, the top of every event listing and ticket listing page clarifies this. This fact also reiterated at the top of the checkout page, below the itemized order breakdown, and agreed to by the customer that they acknowledge the site is a resale marketplace. As all this information was presented to, and agreed upon, by our customer and their valid tickets were delivered on 11/6/2017 prior to their event on 7/13/2018, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has additional questions, we encourage them to contact us directly to assist.Regards,Ticket Offices

I am rejecting this response because:  their advertising is directly linked to the venue's website in a way that is extremely misleading. Many other customers have had the same problems, so its not just me.  Their sales are dependent on mis leading people.  The idea that the ticket price may be higher implies the usual practice of adding a modest surcharge, not tripling the ticket price.  Why else would we pay way too much for tickets?  Because we have been misled, specifically by direct links from the venue site or what we think is the venue site.  If this was a legitimate fair business practice, you wouldn't have multiple Revdex.com complaints for the same nefarious practice.  It might technically be legal, but its not good business.
Sincerely,
Ray [redacted]

Thank you for providing this response. As we clarified in our initial response, tickets on the secondary market may become available to purchase prior to the primary market due to a number of possibilities. As stated throughout the site, and agreed to by our customer at checkout, prices may be above or below face value. These are common occurrences in the secondary marketplace. In relation to the tickets which were shipped to our customer on 1/24/2018, the tickets within the package were the exact tickets which were emailed to the address on file on 1/27/2018. Additionally, every order placed with us is protected by our 100% Guarantee which ensures customers their tickets will be delivered prior to their event and be valid for entry, more detailed information regarding this is available on the 100% Guarantee portion of the website. As our customer's valid tickets were delivered prior to their event on 6/30/2018, we consider this matter closed. Further questions our customer may have pertaining to their order may be directed to our customer service department for additional assistance. Regards,Ticket Offices

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The use of the primary seller's venue name in your ad sponsored URL is misleading and ultimately lead to me paying far more than I would have if I wasn't mislead by this type of advertising. Regardless to this fact I have two reasons while I reject your response and demand a refund.1. I have been told conflicting information from speaking with your representatives on the phone and your response. I was told on the phone, in paraphrasing, that TicketOffices.com does in fact have tickets on hand because they are checked to ensure validity. How exactly are they checked and who maintains control of the tickets? Please clarify this. However in your response you state, "Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Ticket Offices is not affiliated with any artist or venue and do not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers." According to the Ticket Sales Act of [redacted] the province I currently reside and where your own website allowed me to input, "No person, other than a primary seller, shall sell, advertise or list for sale, in any manner, any tickets to an event in [redacted] unless the tickets are in the person’s possession or control." You have clearly just indicated to me that the tickets are NOT in your possession and are under the control of the seller. This is in violation of 6(2) of the [redacted] Ticket Sales Act. Again I will state that I was tricked into purchasing tickets from your website and this law which is meant to protect [redacted] ticket purchasers is violated by your website. If you would like to review it a link is as follows: http:/[redacted]2. Secondly, a refund was issued recently in late 2016 for an individual that fell for the same trick as stated on this Revdex.com post linked here: http://[redacted]Lastly, please provide proof that these tickets are in fact resale tickets coming from sellers that are not affiliated with TicketOffices, as opposed to you purchasing tickets at retail value then forwarding them to me after the transaction.

Thank you for contacting us in regards to the concerns of our customer. We appreciate the chance to address this matter. Ticket Offices operates on the secondary market and does not own or generate tickets; rather, we facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. To this end, we...

are committed to providing the best possible customer service and maintaining a transparent checkout process. Our customer has expressed concerns regarding their tickets’ seat numbers. However, it should be noted that due to our business on the secondary market, we do not own or generate tickets and therefore do not own any inventory. Directly on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page of our website, we state, “All tickets in a single order will be together unless the seller notated otherwise. We do not list seat numbers on our site because we do not know which tickets the seller will send to which of his or her customers.”Our customer also indicated they were not made aware they may be paying above face value for their tickets, to which we would like to provide clarification. Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, Led Zeppelin Experience, they navigated to the ticket listing page. The top of this page clearly notifies customers, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may be above or below face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” After customers select the ticket listing they desire, they are directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticket. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method is selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total is calculated. A complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $125.63 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. This information was fully disclosed before our customers are asked to enter any payment information. Below this order summary, our customers are presented with the message stating, “Please note: We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms. Customers are then prompted to select the "Review Order" button below these terms. Once selected, customers are taken to a review page which displayed their payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of their order. Our customer then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order", at which time their order was processed.Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.Regards,Ticket Offices

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Ticket Offices, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Ticket Offices is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate...

transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not the box office or venue. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Ticket Offices, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. In reference to the name printed on the ticket, this is simply information from the original purchaser. These details are carried over when tickets are relisted on the secondary marketplace allowing for them to be completely transferable. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Although our customer has expressed concern regarding the validity of their tickets, every order placed with us is protected by a 100% Buyer Guarantee. This guarantee ensures customers they will receive their valid tickets prior to their event and that their tickets will be valid for entry. Our customer placed their order on 3/16/2017 and received their valid tickets on 3/20/2017. Our customer later contacted us on 4/9/2017 to discuss their order at which time this information was clarified. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.Regards,Ticket Offices
