that aims to provide a positivecardholder experience, we endeavor to resolve all cardholder issues in athorough and satisfactory manner. Afterresearching [redacted]’s complaint, it was confirmed that this prepaid card wasissued in September 2013 with an expiration date of March **, 2014.  In accordance with applicable law andregulations, this expiration date was embossed on the front of the promotionalcard. It also was displayed on the cardholder materials (i.e., “valid thru 03/14”),and the terms and conditions that accompanied the card disclosed that the cardexpires on the date embossed on the card.  Inthe letter [redacted] indicates that she was becoming a first time mother duringthe period that the card was valid.  Basedon this fact, it was determined that, as a client accommodation, the fundswould be credited back to the account and a new card would be issued to [redacted]for the full amount of $20.00.  The newcard was issued to the address of record on August [redacted].  [redacted] may contact a dedicated service agentat ###-###-#### between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM EDT, Monday throughFriday to discuss additional questions or concerns. Weregret [redacted]’s dissatisfaction with this situation.  If the Revdex.comshould have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at thenumber and information found below. Sincerely,   [redacted]Customer Service Manager, CSOperations[redacted]

The response provided to me by Citibank is nothing more than a glorified form response from the company. As I stated in my previous complaint, I have been a loyal customer of Citibank for almost a year. They have treated me nothing short of being rude, smart mouthed, and over judgmental during the entire business relationship with them. I had enough trouble getting the card and "proving my financial situation" with them and they closed all of my accounts for no reason. I reject their "form letter" and their excuse for closing my accounts. Everyone will be notified of my experience with Citibank. I am very happy I owe them nothing, because the bank IS nothing other than exorbitant interest rates and rude, nasty operators. No sweat off my back!

 They sent the same response again. Further proving that they refuse to discuss anything with me,  the customer. Their response encourages me to contact myself. I will never do business with them again. I may have to contact a lawyer about this matter. Continuing to accrue fees while refusing to discuss my account with me or accept payment is preposterous.

the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Citi is a joke, I received a letter in the mail, that the Sears card application was made in February, which is clearly a lie, and it has not been over 60 days since I made the application. I made the application back in May 2016, and Citi does not to want to be bothered, and they are worthless, and the worst bank I have ever had to deal with in my life.

 I have not heard from anyone in regards to my complaint. I don't know why they stated they have contacted me because they have not.

Citi® Prepaid Services received the complaint submitted on January *, 2015 from [redacted] regarding an expired promotional prepaid card issued by Citi Prepaid Services on behalf...

of [redacted].  As a business that aims to provide a positive cardholder experience, we strive to resolve all cardholder issues in a thorough and satisfactory manner.
 
Upon review, Citi Prepaid Services determined that the promotional prepaid card that [redacted] inquired about was issued in November 2013 with an expiration date of November 2014 with an available spend of $35.  A transaction posted on February *, 2014 in the amount of $3.94 leaving the balance of $31.06 which expired.  In accordance with applicable law and regulation, the expiration date was embossed on the front of the card; displayed on her cardholder materials (i.e., “valid thru 11/**”); disclosed in the terms and conditions that accompanied the card with an explanation that the funds would no longer be available after the expiration date.  [redacted] also mentions that gift cards do not expire; this card is a promotional prepaid card, not a gift card.  We have called [redacted]’s home phone number on file on January *, January ** and January ** leaving messages for a return call; to date, we have no record of a returned call.  However, as a one-time courtesy we have reissued the card with an available balance of $31.06.

Citi has sent me a letter. But not refunded the $95 annual fee. The letter says I was given the option to pick a card with no annual fee. But that is completely not true. They do point out that I did accept the terms and conditions, which is true. I'm sure it was somewhere in a huge long seperate page with the full terms and conditions. I don't deny that they wrote it somewhere. My complaint is that it should of been upfront in the advertisement. There are a couple important things people want to know when getting a credit card, and if the card has a annual fee it should be clear. They write in big lettering that you get $100 for signing up, but the fact that they charge you $95 to get the card is buried in the terms and conditions. This was very sneaky. I know they aren't going to refund it, but they lost a customer. Hopefully this complaint helps others to be cautious and read the fine print with Citi bank
