On 09/30/15 I verbally okayed a Prius extended warranty policy for $295.00.
The next morning I left a message with a representative [redacted] for [redacted] stating that I wanted to cancel the order. Later than afternoon I called to verify my cancellation. After giving my name, I was hung up on. Two subsequent calls after the hang up went unanswered for over 20 minutes each. The next day another 20 minute call went unanswered. I believe the last three calls afterwards that I made were blocked.
They have $295.00 of my money. Sorry I didn't check the Revdex.com while on the phone.
Review: I got a letter in the mail telling me my warranty for my car was running out so I called them , they took my information and took out 181.55 for Aug and Sept for a total of 363.10 then my bank had sent me a new debit card with a different number so I received a email from them telling me if I didn't call to give them a new payment I would be cancelled. I had Just went in to the Nissan dealer to have some recall work done and asked the service guy if my card for car treaty looked legit and he said it was a scam and told me other customers had been scammed from this company alsoDesired Settlement: I want my money back for a warrant contract that isn't even legit.
Name of the company skipped during sales presentation
No access to the blanket contract
After research of the company that actually issues the contract not at all
what I desired.
Two calls for a 495.00 down payment to be refund (the first call within 24 hours) and no resolution.
Review: I was harassed by phone by Car Treaty until I opened a policy for an extended warranty for my car. Looking at my credit card statements, I realize that I have been double billed for several months and these credit card charges do not match what the Omnisure website shows (Omnisure is a third party billing agency). I'd like a refund for the entire contract because I believe there is no actual coverage and that this is a scam. Failing that, I at least want to be refunded for the months I was double billed. Thank you for any assistance or guidance.
Review: November, Friday the 13th 2015 I was wrongfully charged by car treaty $395 who no longer served as a merchant to American auto shield. When I call and ask for a refund they tell me to go through the bank. The bank tells me to call car treaty and ask for a refund. So I'm going in a circle here and I'm still out of 395 around the the holidays.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my 395 back. Glad I cancelled that service because getting charged $395 twice was unprofessional
Review: I was contacted by CAR TREATY [redacted] on Post Date 05/21/2015 and Transaction Date 05/21/2015 about INSURANCE SALES/UNDERWRITING/PREMIUMS. I agreed to purchasing a contract after being pressured and told that if I don't buy the policy today the offer wouldn't be valid and that I would have a 30 day full refund option. I was at work and was unable to contact them after business hours so I had my wife call to cancel the next day 5/22/2015. She contacted them and they bounced her back and forth from customer service to sales agent back to customer service and then finally to credit personnel. They said they would credit the initial charge of $295 and cancel any recurring charges. My wife asked for a confirmation number and she was told they were unable to provide one because it was still in the processing status. The charge still processed. I tried calling back numerous times. Before hours I get that it is not during business hours. During Business Hours I get the number is temporary unavailable.Desired Settlement: As per their 30 day refund policy I expect the business to refund the $295 to my credit card and cancel the 18 month installments not billing my card ever again.
Business Response:
To whom it may concern,
Review: Car Treaty owes me a $295 refund and even though the email said 7-10 business days the customer service rep said that it was old and that it would be up to 30 days to get my refund. According to them they had until the 7th of November to issue my refund. Well it is the 10th of November and I still have not received my refund. I called them on the 9th of November and the lady refused to let me speak to a supervisor or someone that would be able to tell me why my refund has not been issued. She said she would send an email to finance and would call me back and let me know what they said. I have yet to hear from her or anyone from Car Treaty. I checked my account this morning and my money still have not been refunded.Desired Settlement: My money refunded back to my account ASAP.
Review: I purchased an extended warranty from Car Treaty but cancelled in the 30 day time frame for a full $495 deposit refund. I have emails that prove we cancelled within the time frame but still do not have our money back. We called back in November and were told the credit would be issued that month. With the holidays we did not realize we had not been credited until today. We called today and was told by Car Treaty that they no longer do business with the merchant and will not tell us what merchant they mean as we thought we were doing business with Car Treaty. They advised us to call our credit card company and dispute the charge and then they would release the funds. More than 120 days had passed since the original charge of $495 was made and Visa will not dispute charges after 120 days. The deadline for this was 1/10/2016. We called Car Treaty back and told them that Visa would not dispute and the lady said they had never heard of this but will not give us a phone number to call for refund and would not transfer us to a supervisor. She also would not reveal who the merchant was which is troubling because we thought they were the merchant. The long and the short of is we are out our money and can not get anyone to help. We feel like this is a scam of some sort and feel very foolish to have fallen in the trap. I see the other complaints are very similar to mine and this company needs to stop handling the business this way.Desired Settlement: Full refund as promised ASAP!

To whom it may concern,
This company will give you the runaround every time you call them.
I was told 2-3 business days for a full refund of my deposit.
Then 2 weeks.
Then 4 weeks.
Then UP TO 30 days.
Now it's been 39 days and what's the waiting time? 4-6 weeks.
I predict next time I call it will be "Up to 52 weeks on average".
If I do not receive my full refund by the supposed 4-6 weeks since filing my cancellation, that will be last straw and they will have a permanent, formal complaint to the Revdex.com and any other organizations interested in leads of SCAMS and CONS.
This is unacceptable.
Review: I signed up for service on 9/18/15. I was told that if I cancelled the account within 30 days of signing up, I would receive a refund for the initial signup fee of $295.00. I cancelled this account on 10/13/15. I faxed a request for cancellation on 10/13/15. I never received a refund and when I called the 800 number I was told that they no longer handle finances for Car Treaty.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $295.00 as I was promised.

It is now 40 days. I called last week she said she would look into it and email me back by the end of business that day. Review: 28 Sep 2015 - submitted $395.00 credit card payment to Car Treaty for Royal Ultimate New Car Coverage Warranty. Informed by Steve Ruddy, Car Treaty salesman that I would be refunded entire amount if I cancelled within 30 days. 29 Sep 2015 (1 day later) - informed Mr Ruddy of need to cancel policy. Received “Request for Cancellation” form from [email protected] with written statement “you will receive your refund in approximately 7-10 business days.” Emailed completed form to Car Treaty. Received e-mail response stating “one of our representatives will contact you within 24-48 hours.” 5 October 2015 – called Customer Service as no one had contacted me. Car Treaty rep stated “your cancellation request is being processed; it can take from 14-30 days to receive refund via check” (verbal statement contradictory to previous written statement). 28 Oct 2015 (roughly 30 days since cancellation) - contacted Customer Service again as $395 refund had not been received. [redacted], Car Treaty rep stated “record shows it is due for refund/pending”, but doesn’t show transaction number which is usually assigned.” [redacted] also stated “Car Treaty is just the vendor & refund requests are sent for processing to Royal Admin in Hanover, Massachusetts via email only.” [redacted] then suggested I file a dispute through my credit card company. This issue has NOT been resolved to date.Desired Settlement: I desire an immediate refund of the $395 that Car Treaty deducted from my credit card account and has yet to return to me.
Review: I purchased a Platinum Plus warranty with Car Treaty almost a month ago now. After receiving the information they sent me and talking it over with my family and a few others I decided to cancel my policy. I began calling them yesterday (10/19/2015) around 3p.m. est I believe and tried for well over an hour before I was forced to go to work and give up for the night. However, while I was on hold I emailed them my request to cancel my warranty as they instruct you on their phone message in order to receive less of a hold time. That was around 3:30 p.m. est. I have yet to receive an email back from their customer server staff and as of this moment today I have been on hold with Car Treaty for over an hour again waiting to get a representative on the phone before the call was simply disconnected either on its own or by them and now I have had to restart the call. I also have emailed them for a second time today as well and am currently waiting for a response. I realize that the deadline for me to cancel my policy and receive a refund is tomorrow and the only reason I waited so long to cancel is I wanted to make absolutely sure with my family that we did not want it. Regardless of this I do not think it is right to make a customer wait this long to simply cancel a transaction, especially when the customer has money hanging in the balance. I also think that this customer service is unacceptable. How is anyone supposed to cancel a warranty on time to receive a refund if we can't even get through and talk to someone from your company?Desired Settlement: All I want to do is cancel my warranty on time so that I receive my $395.00 down payment returned to me. I would also like to see something done about your customer service issues. All over the internet I found other complaints from customers about the way your company deals with customer service and it's ridiculous. Please just cancel my policy, return my money and do not contact me again.
Review: We have sent a certified letter cancelling our contract back in October. We have not heard from them and have tried to contact them with no luck. We tried phone and email. We purchased the contract for $3146.00 on June 2015. We have not used the contract because our vehicle was still under warranty. The contract was for 60 months/100,000 miles. We have not used this. We would like for them to contact us to let us know when we will be receiving our unused contract money back.
Review: I was contacted via telephone on may 8th and told I was being sold an [redacted] extended warranty on my [redacted] for 100,000 additional miles or 5 years, whichever came first. I was suspicious of the telephone process and after one week, the first charge of $595 was already posted to my credit card (which is now in dispute) and I received no formal documentation detailing the terms and services offered via the extended warranty on my vehicle. Further, when I call the phone # provided [redacted] , no one answers the phone. There is only a message, I am placed on hold, then the line disconnects. This is suspicious activity at best. I have canceled my credit card to assure the 9 additional monthly payments of $255.55 are not charged to my credit card. However, I will now need to file a dispute w / the credit card company to assure payment of the $595 is not made. I have also emailed car treaty at their customer service email address [redacted] and requested a refund of my monies and cancellation of the warranty due to suspicious behavior by the company. I have yet to receive a reply from car treaty customer service. Desired settlement: I wish to assure that the $595 that was immediately charged to my credit card be removed and a full refund. I wish to assure cancellation of any type of agreement for services. For such a large charge to be made to my card, I should have received all warranty service detail by overnight or priority mail, as well as an outline of services to be provided via email. I was only sent a "receipt of payment" email by car treaty. Furthermore, being unable to reach car treaty via the phone # provided after numerous attempts is disconcerting. I question the validity of car treaty and whether they are in fact, truly representing [redacted] by providing extended vehicle warranties.
Business response:
to whom it may concern,
Review: on 04/03/2015 I received a phone call from car treaty early that morning informing me my dealership warranty for my 2013 [redacted] was coming to an end and that I needed to extend my warranty before I hit the 50,000 mile mark on my vehicle which I was close to.
I spoke with several people and ended up speaking with a [redacted] I believe and I began asking several questions. I asked him was he with the [redacted] dealership and he responded no, but that they handle all warranties for [redacted] (that was a lie per my dealership) I asked him could I cancel the service any time and get my money back if I end up finding a better deal, he stated yes. So I gave him my debit card information and $395.00 was taken out of my account.
I asked him could they just send me the bill and correspondence and I could pay online he stated no, I had to do the initial payment over the phone and that he could email me everything as soon as we were done on the phone. I told him ok.
So we went over everything and he verified my information (including email) and he stated I should get something in the mail also. He stated my policy was active that day since I paid the initial payment
I was called by a 713 number and when I attempted to call back it would ring and say the mailbox was full. I googled car treaty and call their number and was told they never heard of that person and did not have any of my information.
I immediately cancelled my card because I think I got scammed but the payment had already went through. I did not hear from car treaty for a month and I just received a letter in the mail about my policy on 05/07/2015. I called them the same and requested I cancel the service and get my money back. I have emailed them a cancel letter and they verified they received but they are stating since it's past 30 days I cant get my money back.
I was told that a financial person would call me the end of the day 05/07/2015 or the next day and no one has called and they're not answering [redacted]
desired settlement: I would like my $395.00 refunded to me via check (i cancelled my debit card, they did not provide me with any type of service and did to contact me in any way for almost a month. I already had a pre existing warranty with my dealership but did not find out until after I already paid car treaty. I find it ironic they stopped contacting me after they got paid and now that I want to cancel and I want a refund they're not answering me or wanting to give my money back. I feel like they're stealing from me.
Business response:
to whom it may concern,
These people are just a bunch of scammers. They did the hard sale on my Mom for a extended warranty on her car in less than a month after she bought it. We have been trying to get a refund for her now canceled policy with nothing but false promises. First call they said we would get a check in 5 business days, second call after that said we would get it in 7 - 10 business days, third call said we would get it in 4 - 6 weeks. My poor elderly Mom needs the money they scammed her out of and I suspect she will never get it.
Review: This business called me saying that they were MOPAR, and if I paid them 350.00 they would extend my vehicles warranty by 3 years. They stated that they would send me a packet in the mail that goes over the warranty, however they havent sent anything in the mail and upon further investigation I found out that they are not actually mopar, they will not answer their phone, and keep charging me 93.79 a month through omnisure. Omnisure will not cancel the payments, and neither will the business. I am in the military and on active duty. I paid the original amount they asked for of 350.00, and they keep charging me, and obviously are not MOPAR.Desired Settlement: My money returned and them to stop billing me.
Review: I bought a extended warranty through car treaty and I have now traded the car off so I called to terminate the policy which I did on 11-25-2015 but they told me their finance dept no longer works with this company that sold me the policy. so they dont know when I will get a refund. thats just wrong its not my fault they no longer work with them I want my refund now I did all the steps they told me to do now they tell me no refund. I have tried talking to them no good they said a supervisor would call me they didnt do that either.what can I do to get my refund back ?Desired Settlement: I just want the money I deserve to come back to me!

To Whom it may concern,
Promised money back with 7-10 business days when service was cancelled within thirty days. When I called customer service on the 10 business day, they informed me that despite the information given it now takes 30 or more days to receive the refund. Unprofessional and more than anything inconvenient. Glad I didn't stay with their policy.
