Car Treaty Reviews (135)

To Whom it may Concern,We have already resolved this matter a few weeks ago. We talked to the customer and also refunded the money. The customer needs to just simply check with their bank. Attached is proof.Regards.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have NEVER spoken to the vendor again after the first contact made when the initial order was placed (there are multiple references to "speaking with the customer" made in their letter response to the Revdex.com). References made to supplemental phone conversations are untrue. I emailed the Car Treaty customer support email address included on the vendor's Web site and NEVER received a written response back from the vendor via email. I have never been told what the process for refund would be and what the timeframe for expected refund of the full deposit amount of $595 would entail. In my email communication to the vendor, I explained I was disputing the charge via my credit card company; however, that in no way results in refund of the deposit monies. The dispute process only prevents the cardholder from being responsible for paying the amount charged to the card until the vendor and customer resolve the issue. In this case, the issue is I have yet to receive a phone call to my home number that was used to contact me regarding the extended car warranty package to let me know and confirm that I will indeed receive a refund of the $595 deposit. Nor, have I received any written confirmation of a refund via email or to my mailing address which was captured during the extended warranty order process with Car Treaty. Please assist with assuring that the vendor holds to their commitments with regard to communicating with their customers. The reason I reached out to the Revdex.com in the first place was because of the overwhelming concern with the fact that no one ever answers the Car Treaty phone number I was provided, it disconnects in lieu of letting you leave a message; therefore, there is no way to reach the vendor by phone. In addition, after reaching out via email, I had never received an email response which was disconcerting as well. Please advise and direct on how best to proceed.
Regards,

This company is ridiculous I have been trying to get my refund check since 1/4/2016 unbelievable, excuses after excuses and now as of today 5/4/2016 yet another excuse "now they are changing merchants" which I was told this 2 1/2 weeks ago the same thing. Really? Supposedly the CSR-[redacted] is going to have his manager [redacted] call me, I will be waiting, not holding my breath.

To whom it may concern,We spoke to this customer on 05/26/2015 and refunded his money that day. This complaint is completely baseless. We advised the customer that because this was a credit transaction, funds would not show up into the account for a few days. Also he was given a transaction number....

Attached is OUR proof that this was done. We have talked to our merchant and there was no error in the processing of the refund. The customer will have funds in their account any day now.  Regards,

On 09/30/15 I verbally okayed a Prius extended warranty policy for $295.00.
The next morning I left a message with a representative ([redacted]) for [redacted] stating that I wanted to cancel the order. Later than afternoon I called to verify my cancellation. After giving my name, I was hung up on. Two subsequent calls after the hang up went unanswered for over 20 minutes each. The next day another 20 minute call went unanswered. I believe the last three calls afterwards that I made were blocked.
They have $295.00 of my money. Sorry I didn't check the Revdex.com while on the phone.

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belohave that w.they evidently are servicing clients who signed contracts with them.  I signed a contract and followed proceedures to stop the relationship as set out by their contract so they should honor my contract as they are honoring the others.

I still do not know how they got my information to send me a million letters telling me my coverage will end. But I do believe it was because I got my title switched over after buying car from a friend. [redacted] didn't care that I told her no thank you she said she can waive deposits since I'm college student. Told her I just was laid off from work so they lowered monthly amount ( mind you it took her .07 seconds to get a supervisor on the line to approve it. The following business [redacted] I called to cancel it because I just didn't need it and [redacted] harassed the hell out of me with her hard sales demeanor and she even went as far as telling me ," oh so u signed up while u were unemployed so you must can afford it." Then when I told her I just don't want it she said," oh so you want to cancel something but you haven't even received the information in the mail. Lol I said look I just don't want it and before I could continue she yelled at me to hold then she left me on hold n I cussed at her and called back. When I called back the other lady would not tell me her name do I told her she could not have mine and when I asked for supervisor [redacted] jumps on the phone and yelled I hung up on her. Lol they never transferred me they only keeped me on hold. Lol they are a scam and when I called back to ask for information they are Bill me for, they said no because they cancel or shall I say " I backed out of my policy" [redacted] right I did n I'm glad. I also called my bank and canceled my card. Good riddens.

Name of the company skipped during sales presentation
No access to the blanket contract
After research of the company that actually issues the contract not at all
what I desired.
Two calls for a 495.00 down payment to be refund (the first call within 24 hours) and no resolution.

To Whom it may concern,Our call records show a one time call to our company on 07/07/15. We advised the customer we would gladly cancel the service however, the customer would need to fill out a cancellation form and send it back to us for a full refund. We have not received that yet. As a courtesy...

we have refunded the customer back to the card that he used with us despite not receiving the REQUIRED paperwork, and he should see it any day now just to satisfy the complaint. Our company advises all customers of the 7-10 business day refund period once the required paperwork is received. We have not been given enough time by this customer to even do our job. We have done this customer no wrong. Please remove this complaint as it is not warranted. Attached is proof that this customer has been refunded. Regards,

Revdex.com:
Funds do not need to be exchanged for the buyer to look over detailed paperwork. They collect funds immediately while the buyer waits for the paperwork in the mail. Then they want paperwork filled out and sent in to close the account when the policy was never activated for use. The documentation should be sent in PDF to the buyer for immediate viewing like I did with the cancellation paperwork. Waiting 90 minutes and 47 seconds on hold to talk to someone after waiting 2 weeks to see the policy just to get your own money back is terrible business. I feel sorry for the short staffed folks answering the phone.

13.3333330154419px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">At our company, we provide vehicle service contracts based on the customers wants and need. We know our customers can have a change of heart at anytiime. All that we ask is that we are notified in a timely manner. We offer a 30 day, no questions asked refund to anyone who wishes to cancel the policy. [redacted] is correct in most of his statement. He was contacted on 04/03/2015. He was given options on a policy such as cost and coverage. He did elect a down payment of $395 to activate the policy. However in listening to our recordings (all calls are recorded for our safety and the customers) he was given our toll free number to give us a call at anytime. So I am not sure why the customer would dial a "713" number. Also the customer states that he did not receive anything until 05/07/2015 our records indicate that the policy was sent out via email and mail on the same day. We did not receive our first call from him until 05/07/2015, at which point the customer was beyond the 30 return period and thus would not be granted a refund. We have never had an issue giving anyone their money back and we never will. We pride ourselves on our customer service and making sure that everyone is treated with respect and we are more than courteous to everyone. Also we are very upfront about everything we do. When the customer called us we let him know that while he was outside of the 30 day return period (which was discussed with him during the initial call) we would still be willing to give him a full refund. We refunded the card immediately that day.  We processed the refund card ending in [redacted]. Unfortunately we recevied a response from our merchant saying that the transaction could not be processed due to an invalid card. We had no knowledge that the customer had cancelled his card. We have attached records to show that there were attempts to resolve this matter before it got to this point.
