[redacted] was taking care of on Sunday 2/ The customer was waiting on a Haven Motion loveseat that was on backorder As soon as we got the Haven loveseat back in we called [redacted] with the good news that his loveseat came in, so on 2/ [redacted] came in with the damaged loveseat and was exchanged for the new Haven loveseat
Customer was told when she was paying item off layaway that the item was discontinuedWe gave customer three options, Customer would have to reselect, could arrange for a driver to pick one up from another store if need be, but customer would be responsible for payment of driver to get from another store or we could refundShe did not want a refund at that time, Customer refused to pay extra for driver to go out of state to pick up and refused to reselectCustomer said she would talk with family member and would get back with usCustomer never got back with managerCustomer called me and asked if I could help, at that time the options were more limited as there was not a sectional available at the timeI explained that there are other options to look atShe said that would be fineWe made a appointment on a Sunday to come look at other optionsCustomer came in with another woman and demanded a refundAs I tried to decipher who was who tensions rose as the customer refused to identify themselvesI at that point explained the refund policy and explained to the two ladies that we would happily refund and oblige to the demandsCustomer began to curse and say nasty things to myself and other staff members because we refused to give cash to the customerCustomer left building saying they did not want a refund unless it was cash onlyWe processed the refund regardless and will call customer when check arrives at storeCustomer has still yet to identify herselfExplained to customer that in order to claim check customer would have to present a photo ID
After almost six weeks of waiting, speaking to the regional manager a few times, calling every store near me, after being quoted three weeks for delivery after purchase, I'm done Three thousand dollars was spent on total, and we still have not one piece of our five piece King bed set, or our mattress I'm [redacted] There has been next to NOTHING for communication, when I've reached out to the regional manager Cana, she gave me some half [redacted] voicemail in return, I've been sent in a wild goose chase to even find this woman Plenty of friends and even strangers are now aware of the [redacted] service that American Freight has to offer to anyone who actually makes them moneyAnd I am not the oneAlready done a review on their page with much more detail, but I'm sure it won't make it to the public because there's literally proof of my communication to them with nothing in return So Have fun getting out of the hot water on this one, American Freight Many people in Delaware and Dublin have changed their minds on the business they will be choosing to finish their homes

On May 14, I purchased a sofa at American Freight in [redacted] , **My salesperson was JakeThe store only had the loveseat in stock but Jake said he could order the sofa size for me and have it delivered to their [redacted] , [redacted] store where I could pick it upThis was a perfect solution since I live in [redacted] .Jake said it would take a maximum of weeks to arrive and the [redacted] store would contact me when it arrivedI agreed and paid for the sofa in fullI waited weeks and never heard from anyoneI called the [redacted] store and they said I was not even in their systemI called the [redacted] store and spoke with JamesHe checked and said a sofa "similar to the one" I ordered was delivered to their [redacted] , [redacted] storeI told him [redacted] and [redacted] were hours away from me on the opposite side of the stateJames told me the ONLY solution available to me was to drive to [redacted] and pick it up thereI asked why it could not be redirected to [redacted]
the layway was not cancelled by me which was cancelled by the store which lied about a man coming in the cancel the chair I talked with somone from corporate office which also stated chair was no longer available and provided me with another chair at whole price

American Freight receives their furniture from the manufacturer packaged and sealed and when purchased is made customer receives in the same packaging American Freight also sprays all their stores for bugs and rodents This customer has had this furniture for months, too much time has elapsed and furniture has been exposed to all elements American Freight is happy to give a 10% discount if this customer wishes to replace
Consumers should be protected from poor quality service delivered by this businessDelivery of broken furniture with damage to wood frame and damage to the framework of furniture should not be allowed to continue indefinitelyI have received broken wood and broken drawers on this bedroom suite on separate occasions and I think this business should have to be responsible for delivering unusable furniture on an ongoing basisThey should be required to implement some type of limitation on the number of unacceptable deliveries to their consumersThis business does not give consumers information that furniture will be delivered by an independent contractor that is not employed by their corporation and even though I was promised that the last delivery was going to be inspected thoroughly I still received unusable furnitureConsumers should NOT be responsible to inspect furniture delivered by this businessThey should be held responsible to honor their sales and make sure that their deliveries are acceptable when received by the consumer.This company should be held responsible to make all consumers fully aware of the limitations of their transactions since this information is not fully stated on the contract presented to consumers for final signature
I have spoken with this customer and apologized for the misunderstanding back in when she purchased the set about what the manufacturer and guardian both coverI ordered her new seat cushion covers at no charge to her to help her to take care of the issue
I would not recommend buying furniture here, but if you do, make sure to bring your own tape measure! Apparently they are difficult to useMy boyfriend and I came into the store one Friday and decided to buy a couch/loveseat set for our living roomI told the employee multiple times that it needs to be delivered in the afternoon the following day as Ill be at work and my boyfriend has a prior commitmentWe were told no problem; the store doesn't open until 10am and the drivers will call an hour or two in advanceI'm sitting at work (about a half hour from my house) when I receive a call from the delivery men that they are minutes away....its 9:20amI have to leave work, rush home & make the delivery guys wait for me to arriveThe delivery guys (contracted by american freight) explained that what the employee told me the prior day was totally incorrectThe STORE opens at 10am but they start delivery at 8amHow does he not know this? Anyways, the couches will not fit through our doorway and I have to return to the store for an exchange of smaller couchesLet's not forget, I just paid these guys $($+ tip) to not deliver anything I once again meet with the same employee and give him the dimensions that will fit through the doorwayHe agreed to exchange the first set for a sectional at no additional costThe width of this new couch is 27" according to said employee and will definitely fit through our doorOnce I get home, I receive a call from him concerned the couch might be too big after allHe states the width is more like 28" and that makes him nervousWhile I'm on the phone with him I measure the doorway...its 29.5" with the door on...shouldn't be a problemOnce again, the delivery men bring the new couch and IT WON'T FIT THROUGH THE DOORThe couch is 32" wide I have to pay them another $and our living room is EMPTYMy boyfriend gets on the phone with the employee who is pointing all of the blame at me -- "I told her they wouldn't fit, I warned her in advance." I had to explain multiple times that he gave me a dimension...that's why I told them to deliver the couchesHe measured the couches TWICE and was still off by 4"? I am fuming at this pointI go back to American freight AGAIN to get my full refund for the couchesSo basically I wasted my entire day and lost around $(hours missed at work + delivery fees)I called Corporate numerous times, trying to get at least one of the deliveries fees refundedThe customer service rep advised that delivery fees are nonrefundable, it says so on the receiptMeanwhile, one of the workers in the store told me specially to call and ask for a refund?? I am demanding to speak with someone elseThe customer service reps assures me the VP will call me to discuss the matterDo you think he ever called? NopeSave your time and money and go elsewhere
