The Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty which must be agreed to upon purchasing the engine clearly states: SWE will reimburse the repairer up to $50.00 per hour for the repair of a part or assembly. These charges shall not exceed (a) 100% of the part price as indicated on your original...
invoice, and (b) applicable numbers of hours derived from labor allowances from nationally recognized labor time allowance manuals. We apologize for the breakdown in communication. Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, we will be sending out a check to the customer for $420.00. This reflects the 8.4 hours shown on invoice submitted for the claim with the maximum labor amount allotted.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.100% refund as it was never in their possession according to their emails it never shipped and they were waiting to get it from where ever. They are brokers they never even see the engine they lied to me. I want 100% refund and my bank is working on it since I paid with credit card.

We would really like to help out Mr. [redacted], but he emailed us pictures of the whole engine disassembled and that voids all warranties. He agreed to our terms and conditions when he clicked the box that says I agree to the terms and conditons. click on this link http://engineshopper.com/warranty.php?vid=21012627

they have not refunded the money they owe me as they said they would!! Just like they said they would for three months prior to me contacting you!! I did not want to accept the offer they gave me thru you the Revdex.com because I knew they would not pay, and you would close the case thinking they would honor there offer!! They knew you would close the case and say it was resolved and just go on scamming more people! Apparently the Revdex.com does not follow up to see if the cases are truly resolved, they just close them and let these jerks go on about there business. This seams like a bad way of handling cases for the people that make complaints. Sincerely, [redacted]
The customer had the part shipped to them on 3-5-15. Under the Terms and Condition of the Free Warranty it states "The engine must be installed within 10 days of its receipt." and the customer must submit the warranty for activation. We require this due to the fact many customers will...
let the engine set in unknown conditions, such as damp conditions or uncovered, which could cause damage to the engine before installation. We did not hear from the customer until 9-14-15 with the complaints mentioned. The customer then attempted to submit the warranty activation on 9-22-15 well beyond the time allowed. The customer did not follow the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty and therefore was denied their claim accordingly. We strongly encourage all customers when making a purchase of this value to follow the Terms and Conditions as clearly and prominently detailed in every step of the process to avoid these situations. Had the customer followed the steps required, this would most likely not be an issue if qualified for a warranty claim.
Mr. [redacted] had purchaed a transmission from us for a 1996 Mercedes E-Class and it was sent out to him in a timely manner. He had then called us on March 5, 2015 to report thatt there was a hairline fracture in the case and that he wanted a replacement, so we then sent...
another transmission. He said the new transmission was not shifting properly so sent a 3rd trans. The 3rd trans is now installed and working well, Mr. [redacted] has been taken care of. Unfortunatly his labor claim was denied because he did not make it through the 2 week, 500 mile activaton period of the extended warranty, so therefore the labor was not covered.

The first engine never even ran I had to pay for installing a bad engine? the warranty states they will pay $65. a hour up to 10 hours. they should reimburse me for the second installation at least. They sent a bad motor from the start. They are clearly at fault.
I just checked Mr. [redacted]s account and he was credited, if he likes we will send him an email with the credit.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The transmission was purchased with a 1 year parts and labor warranty evidence of which was provided previously. Aside from originally sending the wrong transmission in the first place and then convincing the installer that it was an adequate substitute without my consent, the intalled transmission failed within days of the install and well within the warranty period. There was no warranty information provided to the installer by SW Transmissions as indicated on the installers invoice. The only method SW provided to initiate the warranty was through a web portal which was not accessible to me thus facilitating a call directly to SW Transmission by me to report the problem. SW said they would investigate and followed up with me as to what they needed from the installer to make a claim on the warranty. The information was sent and the correct transmission was sent (without prior notification that it was going to be sent) to the installer within a few weeks of the first failure. After the second install, I was presented another bill for $900 for the second install labor. I informed the installer that the labor was covered under the warranty and he stated that SW refused to pay. I inquired with SW as to why and they stated that I did not activate the warranty by using their on line method. I told them that that link did not work for me and that that's why I called to iniate the warranty process. They obviously felt that was sufficient at the time as they did send the replacement transmission without any problem and they said thatthey waived the shipping fee and that should satisfy the situation. I disagree, there would have been no need to ship a second transmission had they shipped the correct one in the first place so to say they did me a favor by not charging me for that is simply wrong. As far as the warranty registration, to only have one way to register the warrantyand that being through the internet, an unreliable technology that all purchasers do not have access to is not only bad business but probably illegal. I verbally registered the warranty with [redacted] in the warranty department when the issue came up and it was within the warranty period.

Mr. [redacted] had purchased an engine from us back on December 27, 2014 it was sent to him in a timely manner. He also admitted that he did not install it until April 27, 2015 when he called in. One of our strict regulations on our terms and conditions form that he had agreed to was that our engine...
must be installed with in 30 days of receiving the engine. By doing that he had voided all warranties. Even though he had voided all warranties we may still make an exception for him, all he has to do is make the engine available for pick up and we will send a replacement engine as long as it is with in 180 days of purchase.
The complainant is stating that we are not up front about or warranty Terms and Conditions which is the complete opposite. It is clearly stated on our website along with the receipt to activate the warranty. We have a specific page dedicated only to our warranty and its Terms and Conditions. Our Terms and Conditions also state, "EATW will not be responsible for any labor cost incurred by the customer." Each engine comes with its own warranty so even if the first engine had a warranty activated on it, which it did not, the 2nd engine that was received needed to have its warranty activated as well to be compliant within the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty. We hope this closes this matter and any issues going forward.
you are lying , we have a strict policy of selling direct fit parts. Stop putting blame on someone else. if you told us you had a 71 corvette we woul never sell it to you.
The complainant is requesting a full refund of $3480.00 as the engine he purchased had not yet shipped to the complainant. After further review a request to have the engine has been approved and a check will be mailed out to the complainant for the full...
purchase amount and the engine order will be cancelled. Due to the order being canceled and a check for the full amount of the engine being sent to the complainant, this should satisfy the complainant and fully address the resolution that the complainant was seeking.Tell us why here...

What expense? you got all your money back from your credit card company.
As the customer has stated in the complaint, the engine was ordered on 6-9-2015. The customer did not install until October therefore voiding the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty which clearly states: "Warranty must be activated within 10 business days of delivery OR ALL...
WARRANTIES WILL VOIDED. Falsifying information will automatically void your warranty." This can be viewed by visiting http://www.swengines.com/warranty.php. The Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon before ordering and are clearly stated on the site as well as during the purchase process. We cannot possibly know what condition the engine was stored in for more than 4 months and this is why we have this conditions as any engine improperly stored for a short amount of time can be damaged from the elements or mishandling. Furthermore, the customer called in on 10-22-2015 and Activated the warranty on 11/4 and proceeded to attempt to make a claim the same day. Unfortunately, the customer did not read or understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty when attempting to do so. We encourage all potential buyers to read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty before making a purchase.
The check was sent out on 5.23.16. We are not sure why this has been posted on the Revdex.com and request this bogus complaint be removed.
We are contacting Front Line Motors today and arranging to have both engines picked up and will resume talks once we receive them back and can inspect. Please make sure they are available for pickup and we receive full cooperation.
