I had been out of the military for years before I decided to submit a claimI was refer to Vet Comp & Pen Medical by a friendI must say it was the best decision I have ever madeThey are excellent, they follow up, the are prompt and very knowledgeableShara, worked with me, she reminded my of my appointment and walked through what I should expect, she made sure I was prepared and that any questions or concerns I had were answeredShara was excellent, I recommend asking for her by name

All in all, I believe that Vet Comp and Pen has the idea of the right business model Unfortunately, I feel as if their business vision is to help vets, then they should focus on that vision and not stray from the pathI started with this organization and filing for my disability in Because of the fact that they lost my documentation and did not follow up accordingly, my original intent to file did not count and expired I followed up with the company after months of no communication from them to find that my case was dropped and I had to start the process over Once I started it over they did not even put in another intent to file with the VA which they should have (The VA even stated) After all of this they awarded me a 30% rating which I had to pay $to them to see their doctors After following up with the VA on my own accord, the VA scheduled me another test that led me to getting a 70% rating instead! That is awesome right?! So I am very blessed to receive what I did, but now Vet Comp and Pen are trying to collect off of that 70% rating that the VA awarded me instead of the 30% their company got me All they did was file the paper work and did zero follow up and are giving me an invoice of $7,after promising me back pay from the VA which needed an intent to file which they did not even submit If they would have done their jobs correctly they would have given me $20,in back pay from when I originally filed but instead they are requesting a large amount of money Although I am appreciative of them getting me started, I do not feel like I should be charged for my own efforts in getting that second appointment and a higher rating They should be willing to own up to their own mistakes and work with Veterans if that IS THEIR TRUE DESIRE Very disappointed and taken advantage of Sorry to complain I even called the company to explain and they said they need the money

In my exhausted state of mind, I do not have the wherewithal, knowledge or time to even know where to begin in the process of evaluating my statusI simply always accepted whatever the VA gave meand was thankfulTime has taken its cumulative effect on me

Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend that all Veterans that are rated 90% or less that believe they are under rated by the VA seek out the their one of a kind capability to champion your efforts, just as they have seamlessly done with me
Having left the Army after years, multiple deployments, and only to receive a lowball rating by the VA because nobody could take the time to properly review my case speaks volumes
Within days submitting my claim, I have increased from 60% to 80% for my chronic pain, followed by a point increase kmonths later for my sleep apnea it's something I could not have done or would have taken years for service organizations to accomplish what they have in a very short time, in a highly professional matter !h
