Saturday June 22, I went to the Tire Discounters store to resolve this issue. I spoke to the young man in charge at the time. I explained the problem and offered two solutions. I told him (1) we would bring the car back Monday, and they could replace the battery with a much cheaper one and refund the difference or (2) we would bring the battery back and get a full refund. First of all, he told me Tire Discounters did not offer a less expensive battery, and then he said it would be fine to bring the battery back for a full refund.
Monday, June 24, I returned to the store with the battery (I had taken it out of the car). I told the men in charge what had transpired and why I was there. First of all, they said I should not have taken it out of the car. I would not have done that if I had not been told that would be OK. Then, they told me that Tire Discounters sold three different batteries. Again, something we should have been told. After spending an hour and a half at the store explaining the problem, as well as several phone calls after getting home on Monday, we had no results.
Today, June 25, I returned to the phone to get answers. After being on hold for and hour and fifteen minutes, I hung up and called back. I finally got the answer that "they" had turned down because it was "electronic equipment" and wasn't in the car. This is still a new battery and would be put back on the shelf and sold as new and it would be fine. It was only used once to start her car to come home from the store. The car went nowhere else. They are NOT getting cheated, she is. We need your help in this matter.

Attached you will find a picture of the type of wheel bearing and hub in questionThe wheel bearing was replaced by Tire Discounters on 9/18/Premature failure of a bearing is common when the hub fits loosely inside the wheel bearingHub's begin to wear overtime causing play between the hub and the bearingTo respond to the allegations that the bearing was never replacedThe customer came in on 9/18/complaining of a noise in the front endIf the bearing had not been replaced the noise would have continued and the customer would have returned a lot sooner than yearsAs well as when a bearing makes noise it is at the end of its lifeIf the bearing was not replaced it would have failed before the current year markAgain Tire Discounters warranty is months milesThe customer exceeds that times overWe made the customer a deal that if he pays for the hub and labor we will pay for the bearingThat offer still standsHowever this is the only offer we are willing to give
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below According to the service manager at the Tire Discounter location that serviced the passenger side wheel bearing, he verbally stated I had a 12-month warranty on the wheel bearing I asked for clarification because the paperwork was confusing In addition, the car is still not riding smoothly, and the front right side feels like it is shaking In addition, when I turn right occasionally, the car acts like it’s going to stall At this moment, I do not have the ability to get the vehicle back to that location to have it inspected because I use the vehicle to transport my daughter to work, and to have in case of an emergency since I have disabilities, I have my disabled mother visiting for a week, and my son, who has high functioning autism and a few other medical issues The earliest I can bring the vehicle to be looked at will be Monday, May 29th As for the shocks and struts, we do have paperwork from Tire Discounters, Walton, which I will attach to this response The invoice # [redacted] , is dated 4/5/16, and it states, “FIXED BALL JOINTS A MONTH AGO RIGHT SIDE THOUGHT IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM HEARING THE NOISE AGAIN TEST DRIVE” and attached is the estimate for the shocks and struts Invoice # [redacted] , is where we returned the next day, after borrowing the funds from a relative to cover the expense This vehicle was pre-owned by a relative, and previously before that I have no evidence that shocks and struts were replaced prior to our ownership, but neither does Tire Discounters We were not shown the shocks and struts, and we were taking the word of the Tire Discounters employees that it was absolutely necessary to replace them In addition, I frequently stopped by asking them to look at the vehicle, and was even assured by GM Mike P**, that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle repeatedly for several months until September 2016, when he informed me that the front passenger wheel bearing and wheel joint were needing replacement, and that was when we contacted corporate and Susan took care of us As a result of presenting this evidence, I am asking for a full refund of $on the shocks and struts, because first of all, we were told that it would fix the noise that we continually kept bringing our vehicle back for (and this is what they documented on the paperwork), and second of all, we would never have replaced them at that time unless they told us it was unsafe to drive, because we did not have the funds to pay for it Since we have taken the vehicle to several locations and we are still having problems with the same issue, I will give the location off of in Florence, Kentucky the opportunity to diagnose what the issue is, why the front wheel bearing and/or joint is not operating properly, and allow them to repair it properly at no charge to me If Tire Discounters does not want to make the repairs, they can refund me everything I have spent at Tire Discounters since January 2016, and I will take my vehicle to another garage to get it fixed properly Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is expected and partially satisfactory to me addressing the refund for the two defective tires causing extreme vibrating and pullThey did refund my credit cardBut they did not address the dishonest business practices they engaged in.As for the Kenwood Tire Discounters telling me when trying to find out why there was extreme vibrating and pull--the fact that they covered up that their "new" two defective tires were causing the problem was dishonest On top of that they said that the issues ( a claim) was bad struts We have a written statement from [redacted] that Struts were examined ad fine and that the only issue was the defective tires Tire Discounters tried to sell us $1,job of new struts that were never needed at all An egregious lie to make more money and avoid culpability was never addressed in any of the responses So this answer is a partial acceptance I would prefer to have them admit their falsehood and fire the person named that was responsible Regards, [redacted]

We are sorry the customer has rejected the offer From the response and the refund request form that was attached there may be some clarification needed The form is simply a request the store generates to resolve a customer issue in a manner they feel it should be resolved In some cases, (as this one) the customer might sign the form indicating they accept the amount requested as well The form then goes to the Regional Manager who either approves, denies or revises the request Unless the RM denies the request, the form then goes to the Home Office where the final decision is made on the request In this case the Home Office made the decision to revise the request to the current offer that has been presented We apologize for the confusion the form may have created
Tire Discounters is willing to provide videos of Mr [redacted] 's vehicle from beginning to endTire Discounters is asking the Revdex.com be the middleman between the videosPlease provide us a way to send the videos since the response portion only allows Documents to be attached which cannot be videos
We reviewed the matter again and stand by our previous response The store did everything necessary to address the vehicle needs to prevent any question of necessary repairs The concern of the alignment being related to the brake line failing is unrealistic as the two are independent from each other But out of good faith we did not charge the customer for the labor to repair the brake line Please let us know if you need any additional information on this customer concern
Tire Discounters has investigated this damage claim, by the picture provided by you (***) in this Revdex.com claimTire Discounters denies any claim of damage to your exhaustThere are no signs of impact or lift damage to you vehicle or to the exhaustThe likely reason for your exhaust falling off seemed to be rustIn the pictures you can clearly see both ends of the pipe are very rustedTire Discounters would be more than happy to help assist you with repairing your exhaust (at the expense of the customer)Tire Discounters is not responsible for this damage
Attached is the customer's written authorization permitting her mother to file this complaint on her behalf
[redacted] [redacted] bought new Milestar MStires from Tire Discounters on Church Stin Murfreesboro, TN on Nov.1,On Dec17, one of her tires went flat She brought her car back to Tire Discounters, we took the wheel and tire off of the vehicle, were unable find anything wrong with the wheel or tire, we reinstalled and re-inflated the tire and put it back on the vehicle January 7th, customer went to work, came out and the same tire was flat again She had roadside service come and change her tire and returned to Tire Discounters Monday 1-9- Tire Discounters dismounted the tire from the wheel and noticed that the inside side walls of the tire were shredded do to the tire being driven on flat causing irreparable damage to the tire The regional manager, [redacted] looked at the tire and confirmed the damage was caused from her driving on the tire while it was going flat According to the customer, the tire light had been staying on due to the change in weather, however, the light only comes on when the air is below the recommended PSI threshold programmed by Nissan Tire Discounters has determined that the customer drove on tire while loosing air or flat which caused the irreparable damage to the tire Customer admits that the tire pressure light was on for a couple days and assumed it was because of the weather Tire Discounters assumes no responsibility for this claim
After reviewing the case and verifying the customer’s concern, it was decided to replace the tires that are the incorrect size at no charge to the customer It was also decided to offer the customer a free tire for the third wheel and have her pay for the fourth one The customer agreed to the price of $for the fourth tire The work was completed on 11/5/(invoice attached) Let us know if you need anything further to update this ticket or take care of Ms***
