I should not have to send them a copy of my credit report. I am wondering how they were able to put this on credit report in the first place. I gave them my ssn# and it was not the one they had on file. The place of residence was not the one on file. I answered all their questions. It is not right that a credit recovery company can just put wrong information on someone's credit report and it is not against the law. What law states that if this compant puts wrong information on my credit report it is my responsibiltiy to provide them with my personal information to have it removed?

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #[redacted]. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. I also want to add that if, for some reason, this collection agency has reported this to my credit report, they need to remove that as well. (I have not seen this collection on my credit report so far, but in case they have, please remove it). Thank you.

The letter sent to my home from this so-called collection company was address to Mr. [redacted], not Mrs. [redacted]. It also made no mention of whom they were representing or what the debt was in lue of, which I'm sure is illegal and violates a few consumer rights acts. So it seems incredibly unlikely that I nor anyone in my family was involved in this event which makes sending a bogus demand letter to my home a direct violation of the FDCPA collection acts and practices. I do not accept this response because the company is trying to deny ties to another division within its company hence trying to duck responsibility for sending out a bogus claim letter violating my rights as a consumer. So an apology letter to Mr. [redacted] is still in order!

I have already provided the account number of [redacted] twice. Once on the initial letter that was sent and again when this complaint was filed. Am I missing something here?
