I am rejecting this response because: As of July 18, 2015 no refund has been received.

We did reach out to the customer a few times but have not heard back. The customer has a issue with the shingles on the roof. Shingles are not covered under the terms.  Please see section 6.4.2 of the terms.This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts...

relating to roof leaks: (i) patios; (ii) porches, (iii) decks; (iv) metal roofs; (v) foam roofs; (vi) shingles; (vii) cemwood shakes; (viii) cracked and/or missing material; (ix) tiles; (x) tar and gravel; (xi) flat or built-up roofs; (xii) structural leaks; (xiii) asphalt; (xiv) gutters; (xv) downspouts; (xvi) skylights; (xvii) flashing; (xviii) patio covers; (xix) solar components; (xx) attic vents; (xxi) roof jacks; (xxii) satellite components; (xxiii) antennae; and (xxiv) chimney components.This Agreement does NOT cover repairs requiring partial or complete replacement of the roof. We did go above the policy terms and approve a good will reimbursement for the customer for $125.

The customer placed a claim for a ac. The diagnosis was a Freon leak in the coil. As part of the terms issues like this are not covered. Please see section 6.3.6 of the policy,  This Agreement does NOT cover window, wall or zone systems or portable air conditioning units. This...

Agreement does NOT cover (i) air filters; (ii) Freon; (iii) Freon recapture; (iv) geothermal systems; (v) gas or propane air condition systems; (vi) air filtration systems; (vii) humidifiers; (viii) registers; (ix) grills; (x) stands; (xi) jacks; (xii) condenser casings; (xiii) pads; (xiv) vents; (xv) flues; (xvi) clogged lines; (xvii) condensation leaks; (xviii) mismatched systems; (xix) damaged ducts; (xx) improper wiring; and (xxi) improper piping;(xxii)freon leaks;(xxiii)damage caused by freon leak.

The customer was refunded for both of their policies on 04/09/2015, the customer was issued a non-discounted, pro-rated refund as per the Terms of Agreement.

Non-EmergencyClaims. To make a claim for repair you must contact Select within 3 daysfollowing discovery of the malfunctioning and/or inoperability of the system orappliance.The customer placed a claim on their fridge and stated thatit was leaking, normally we do not send technicians out for leaks of any kind,as stated on the Term of Agreement, but, we try to go above and beyond toassist our customers.The technicians’ diagnosis was that the fridge was that thefridge had a drain clogged, leaking water and low on Freon, these are issuesthat, unfortunately, we do not offer coverage for.6.2.1 Refrigerator. This Agreement covers one(1) refrigerator located within the kitchen of the covered home. This Agreementcovers all modules, components and parts of the refrigerator necessary to thefunctionality of the refrigerator. This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules,components and parts relating to the refrigerator: (i) ice makers; (ii) icecrushers; (iii) beverage dispensers (iv)freezer parts and components which arenot essential to the refrigerator unit as a whole(v)Freon(vi)Freonleaks;(viii)damage caused by Freon leak(ix)leaks(x)sealed system.Select Home Warranty did offer the customer a 150.00courtesy payment towards the repairs for their stove, the repairs for thefridge fall out of the scope of anything that is covered in out Terms &Conditions.We have filled our contractual obligation regarding bothclaims, the customer may contact us regarding their cancellation request.

I am rejecting this response because: In the policy holder agreement in Section 6.2.2 Oven\Range\Stove Top, This Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the gas or electric oven, range and stove top necessary to the functionally of the oven, range and /or stove top. The oven door is a component part that is critical to the functionally of the oven.

Select Home Warranty has been in contact with the customer an resolved the matter.

I am rejecting this response because: was told this was done before I filed my complaint. Person telling me he was in management and had reviewed call when I questioned him on contents of call I realized he could not have listened to call.

We did speak to the customer and the refund check has been sent.

The customer placed a claim for and ac that turned out to be freon leak. The policy does these types of issues. We did try to contact the customer however they are demanding $4800 and they hung up on us.

Select Home Warranty has issued the full refund on 04/06/2015 back to the customers credit card.

It offers no clear resolution at this time.  I am gathering and sending service records.  However, it is unclear if we will find a positive solution.  "we did speak to...

him" is not a solution.  I was contacted today, only after and seemingly because I contacted Revdex.com (Revdex.com complaint was referenced).  The email and customer service I got on 7/23 and 7/24 are ask bad as this response.

We have spoke to the contractor

I am rejecting this response because:
I have been told that I cannot cancel my contract.Your story changes.  1) We'll send someone out, even though I told them when it broke.  For my protection, I don't tell people when I'm out of town, so I waited to call until after Thanksgiving because I was gone.2) A person came out, I spent $45 on his service call. He never came back or called, and you even tried to contact him with no luck.3) Let us find someone else for you, and you assigned the call to many people, all of whom either didn't service my area or brand.3) Find my own service company, we'll reimburse you.4) We can't cover the full amount of the claim because the claim was made less than 3 months into the contract. (It was more than 3 months).5) Now we can't cover it because the claim was submitted more than 3 days from when it was broken.If they are truly worried about the issue becoming worse, or breaking more (this was told to me on the phone) by my waiting for more than 3 days - why do they take so long to assign an able repair person?  Wait, they never did assign anyone capable of doing the job, I was on my own. They lie.  They snake their way through their ambiguous contracts to weasle out of paying for anything.  If they weren't going to cover it, they should have said so from the beginning.  I no longer want anything to do with this company.  I want to cancel my contract with them and receive a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: I will be calling the Florida Atty general on select home warranty. They are crooks, Eli promised me $65.00 over the phone when I called to complain about paying for this warranty and both things were denied. He said all I would get was $65.00 and now we get $8.00….BEYOND PATHETIC…..THEY ARE STEALING $$$ FROM HARDWORKING PEOPLE. NOT SURE HOW THIS COMPANY GETS AWAY WITH THIS HORRIBLE CROOK LIKE ACTIONS. I WILL NEVER EVER REFER THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. THEY COULDVE EARNED A GOOD REVIEW OF ME IF THEY WOULDVE AT LEAST FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH THEIR  PROMISES OF SENDING US OUR $65.00 BACK. INTERESTING HOW THEY DON’T HAVE A TAPE OF MY CONVERSATION WITH THE MANAGER ELI FROM CANCELLATION DEPARTMENT….I BELEIVE IN KARMA.
