Unfortunately we will not be able to do that. Once a dispute is filed those funds are taken out of our account until the disputes are closed out. At this point we need to wait for their determination in order to proceed. No additional funds due at this time.

We did speak with the customer and we have waived and cancellation fees for the refund amount .

We spoke with the customer and are sending him a check for $75

I am rejecting this response because: They only reimbursed $489.99 on 2/15/16.  I paid a total of $1469.97 broken up over 3 payments of $489.99 each on 10/16/15, 11/16/15. and 12/15/15.  They still owe me a reimbursement of $979.98.

The customers reimbursement check has already been mailed out and they should be receiving it within a few days. No additional funds due at this time.

The customer was advised that their policy had not been effective per the Terms of Agreement  See Below:4. Term. The term of Your service contract, as set forth in this Agreement, shall begin thirty (30) days following Select’s receipt of all outstanding payments and premiums due to Select...

are received by Select (“Effective Date”) please add an additional 5 days for credit/debit card payments. In the event Select does not receive all outstanding payments and/or premiums outstanding , for any reason, Your service contract term will not begin. Your service contract will begin on the Effective Date and remain in effect for one (1) calendar year following the Billing Date (“Termination Date”). Coverage waiting period may be expedited with proof of prior coverage's expiration date provided there was no lapse in coverage.  This information is located on our website and on the Terms of Agreement that was sent to the customer which they signed and initialed and sent back to Select Home Warranty.Select Home Warranty had advised the customer on 11/17/2015 at 4:54 pm, that we would dispatch a technician as a courtesy for the customer.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have been attempting to resolve this in...

a timely manner and I feel as if Select isn't attempting to resolve this in good faith. At this point there are 2 options to resolve this matter. They are outlined below:  1) My preferred resolution after dealing with this matter for 2 months, spending endless time on the phone, being forced to have a contractor come into my home to determine that the components are covered and still having to fight to have the claim paid per the contractor you retained is that Select pays the $835 to completely fix my garage door opening system as was outlined at the time of sale and continues to be outlined by their sales reps as being completely covered. If Select chooses this, I will cease filing complaints and follow up with the ones I have filed to date as "resolved". 2) Realizing that Select has largely been unwilling to pay for the total value of the claim despite the contractor Select hiring telling you the price, and your sales reps telling me all components are covered. I will settle with Select issuing me a check for the amount of $565. $505 for my policy + the $60 service fee. I believe this is fair since I would not have incurred the $60 fee had Select issued me a refund at the time I requested it (upon realizing there was no signed and valid contract.) If this is the resolution Select prefers, I will continue filing complaints and alerting government entities of Select's fraudulent contract practices,   misrepresentations at time of sale, unconscionable business practices and bad faith claims handling.   If neither of these options is acceptable to you, I will continue filing complaints with governmental entities to fully investigate your companies business practices. And if Select continues to be unreasonable in reaching a resolution, I will seek counsel. I have done a fair bit of case law research and have determined that according to N.J. Citizen Action v. Schering-Plough, Corp., 367 N.J. Super. 8, 12-13 (App. Div.), certif. denied. 178 N.J. 249 (2003). And N.J.S.A. 56:8-2 (fraud in sales or advertisements), I am entitled to legal, equitable relief, treble damages and reasonable attorney’s fees, and all I need to prove is unlawful practice (ie contract over $505 has to be in writing and signed, intentional misrepresentation, defrauding consumer, etc.) which caused me an ascertainable loss, IE $835 to fix my garage door opener and components that were represented to me as covered. If I have to seek legal counsel I will seek all of the above and punitive damages for the above referenced egregious acts.

Select Home Warranty has been in contact with the customer and have refunded an additional 125.00 directly back to the customers' card.

I never received the refund promised to me by Select Home Warranty. My last email to Revdex.com was to keep the complaint open until I received the check. It has been two weeks since they claimed to have mailed the check.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], but I would still like to keep this open until I have check in hand. I've had so many people at that company tell me whatever seemed appropriate at the time and not follow through. When I get the check I will let the Revdex.com know.

This customer cancelled their contract and received a refund for all payments made between the month of June-September. In addition, the customer filed disputes for all those installments as well. At the present time we can no longer assist this customer as dispute charges were filed. The customer...

had also received refunds on 9/18 & 9/20 for those terms. The customers contract has been cancelled and no additional funds are due at this time.

In order to process the reimbursement the form is required to be signed, and we will expedite the process

The customer has already been refunded and has also disputed with their credit card company.

The customer was contacted by Select Home Warranty and settle for an amount of 500.00, which should have been updated by the customer, they received a reimbursement form, signed it and sent it back. The check has been mailed as of 8/20/2015.

The customer spoke with two different representatives from our office today informing them of the process and time frame for authorizations. As soon as the authorizations department makes a determination on the claim the customer will be notified.

Hot water heaters that completely fail and leak are not covered.  select selects what they cover after salespeople sell everything being covered.  classic bait and switch. You think you are covered and then the fine print allows them to avoid responsibility. I don't expect them to change their party line that leaks aren't covered just warn any contemplating a home warranty company to select another one. They should be sued for bad faith. They violate the spirit of their agreement with clever rhetoric. I had american home shield that covered everything and was talked into select which is slow to act ,10days, but never covers anyway.  put your premium in the bank you can cover your own repairs  hopefully  we can use the electronic media to warn the unwary. Of their sharp business tactics.  thanks for your help and select. Another one.

The customer advised us that the issue began on 9/24/17. The customer purchased their warranty on 8/23/17 and are still withing the 35 day waiting period in order to have claims filed. The customers claim has been denied as the issue started before the customer was eligible to file claims. No...

additional funds due at this time.

Select Home Warranty has received the invoice and will update the customer on the status of the claim on Wednesday, November 25.

Revdex.com:
