The manager called me during business hours while I was working and I was not able to speak at that timeI kindly asked the manager to call me at or after pm that same day and he agreed, saying "absolutely." He did not call me at or after 6pm, and has not contacted me again sinceI am not available M-F from 9am-5pm because of my work schedule which I made very clear with the manager and he indicated that he understood and would call me outside of those hoursI feel that his lack of follow though has once again shown that this business does not take the situation seriously- never has and likely will attempt to gaslight me like the previous 24-hour fitness employees didCompletely unimpressed

[ received a call from a person named *** from the Corporate Office of hour fitness today (June 23) at around 1:pm PST *** can be reached at *** *** told me that she was calling me because she had received the complaint I filed with Revdex.com *** re-stated to me that there was a company policy change at the executive/CEO level of the hour fitness that it raised the membership fees for the members with annual membership, and there was nothing she could do to lower down my annual membership fee.However, when I told *** that when I bought this membership in July 2008, the staff at hour fitness who sold me this membership told me that once I had paid $849, it would cover the first years of membership, and then it would cost me $annual membership fee for the rest of my life I told *** that I was not given any contract with details to review prior to signing, I signed the contract solely based on what the staff (their salesman) had told me I have complaint to *** that since the staff who sold me the membership was hired by hour fitness to represent hour fitness, so whatever the staff had told me, hour fitness has the legal responsibility to honor However *** told me that she would only go by the company policy to raise my annual membership fee from $to $(more than 100% hike), and would not go by what the staff had told me back in as she was not there to listen to the conversation I have requested *** to find that staff who sold me the membership to verify what he had said to me back in July 2008, but *** didn't say she would do it and insisted she would only go by the company policy to raise my annual membership fee to $199, starting in July I asked *** if the hour fitness was lying to me at July when the staff who sold me the membership back then that my annual membership fee will be $for the rest of the my life, she didn't comment on that I have also told *** that I have friends who also bought the hour fitness membership back in at the same *** Super Sport location, which I bought this membership They were also told by the hour fitness staff that their annual membership fees (varying from $to $99) would be fixed amounts for the rest of their life time after they paid a huge lump sum upfront like me In fact, it was a well-known marketing practice of hour fitness at that time to ask people to join membership by paying a huge amount of money upfront for a 3-year membership and then will be paying a reduced and fixed annual membership fee for the rest of their lives When I searched the internet, a lot of people have experienced the same issue, like me, with hour fitness that they were told the membership would guarantee to be a fixed annual fee when they signed the contract but it got raised after a few years Here is one similar complaint from your sandiego.Revdex.com.org webite on 6/18/against hour fitness USA, text quoted from this complaint "Complaint: I joined hour fitness back in with my annual membership at $a yearI have been paying my membership every yearHowever this year they increased my annual membership from the $to $I called and asked whyI was informed they had conducted a market review and the rate was $My contract says they can increase my annual membership with advance noticeI indicated I had not received any such noticeThe contract indicates a 3% annual increase can be applied to persons paying monthly but does not give a percentage for persons paying annuallyI can see an increase being applied but not a 100%I am concerned they will continue to increase annual fees without explanation and no set formula."So it does look like that hour fitness does mislead people when asking them to sign the contract by providing incorrect verbal information I am also misled by the hour fitness too when I was given verbal information about the guaranteed fixed annual fee for life and asked me to sign the contract without letting me to read/review the contract I remembered I did ask the rep from hour fitness several times when I signed the contract to confirm that the annual fee of $was fixed and guarantee for life and each time I got a YES answer from the rep So I trusted hour fitness rep back then as it was a big corporation to me and I didn't anticipate that the rep would lie to me All verbal promise has legal implication as well.
