Dear Revdex.com,     Thank you for allowing us to respond to this clients concern. We understand that there are always 2 sides to every story and we appreciate you allowing us to respond in a timely manner.   In regards to the clients concerns, I have attached a copy of our...

companies waiver signed by the client. The client was fully aware of the risk involved in the process of snaking a 61 year old pipe. The home was built in 1954 and all of the original pipe was in place. the average life of drain lines is 30 years , therefore this pipe was double its life standards. We gave the client options to repair the line to make it functional. Also please keep in mind that the client called us because they had a issue, they wanted us to resolve the problem. I would be happy to discuss this further with them, they can contact me at ###-###-####

Again thank you for allowing to clear this matter. We wanted to point out that the client reported that she did in fact speak to me. That is not a lie, her comments reflected this. I agreed that we did speak in length. I also informed her that my position at the  company is to resolve concerns, and therefore she would need to speak to me.  Her comments asking why we offered her the 500 savings and 5% Discount is simple. At that time we offered a client 5% to get Approved for finance prior to the field supervisors arrival. We also gave a 500.00 discount for any new purchase. I once again will revert back to the signed agreement between us and the client. This signed agreement is valid, factual, and sufficient in the state of Pennsylvania.  The client does not carry a warranty with Gillece at this time. They have not been able to produce any documentation of this claim, other than a piece of paper with some notes taken on it. None of which is signed by the client and or a Gillece employee. We have provided the client and the Revdex.com with a Signed contract to support our side of the story. We ask that the Revdex.com consider this matter resolved due to evidence and documentation  provided.

I wanted to fill you in our my recent findings. I did a home visit today with the Attorney General’s office. Agent [redacted] was the attending agent. After reviewing the case and the video provided by the client and also by Gillece it was determined that the pipe in question was not our pipe, it was completely different pipe. The client had [redacted] replace existing pipe not done by us. I would ask that you please put this up for review with the board to have it not reflect a unresolved complaint, as the client provided you with false information. 1-      He claims not to have a septic tank2-      He said that [redacted] redid our work. When you look at the work in question you will see that the pipe in question is terra cotta pipe, beyond our PVC clean out repair. The camera now shows that the terra cotta has been replaced with PVC pipe. Video from [redacted] that shows terra cotta follow link….Link for Video   user name is  [redacted]                password is : [redacted] Gillece Video Shows PVC – client admits Gillece would have used PVC- Only work Gillece did on that section was raise up clean out. Therefore Gillece is not at fault for this work, as it was not related to the contract. We should not be held liable for this complaint.

Last time Gillece said to [redacted], my wife that this document is signed by her and that is final and they cannot do any more.First: Here, [redacted] told Gillece plumber that she does not want to sign for air furnace and he said he will loose his job, and he said this money will be refunded by his office. This is a wrong information he gave to my wife. Per contract rules, no agent can influence customer by giving wrong information and make them to sign. My wife was afraid to confront him, his style of talking was not polite. It is tough for my wife to tackle a contractor whose intention is not to help but to rip off the customer. My next comment written below will explain their (plumber) unethical way of doing job. Second, nobody asked him to remove our air furnace, my wife said insurance will not cover the cost and we do not have money, hence do not work on furnace. Here, he could have disconnected gas line and plugged the hose for safety reasons but he removed and destroyed electrical + duct and made my family to stay in hot summer for one week with no AC. Please refer https://[redacted] The max temperature was 89 deg F. An experienced person will not cut air conditioning of the house, just unplug the gas line. I have other friends who have similar work, they said what they did is wrong. Unfortunately I was out of country and Gillece plumber was unfair with his work. In such case, if my family had stayed in a hotel because of no AC in our house during summer would have added cost, to avoid that we involved another contractor he charged few hundred dollar to install the same air furnace with no gas line and AC started working. If you calculate hotel cost for a week (we avoided going) and cost to re fix could have been more than  $1000, which we are not asking Gillece.Third, the most important is we recorded time to remove gas furnace by our second contractor, it took 15 minutes to 20 minutes. Any plumber/technician can verify this. Why they charged $940.45? Is this is a good business?  If you want I have contractor friends they can talk to you regarding the work done by Gillece and also the labor cost.

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for allowing us to respond to the client concerns. My name is Tom E[redacted], Operations Manager with Gillece Services. We no longer advertise Same day service, the client called in after 130 pm on the day she requested service. We were unable to meet that request, and as a...

customer service gesture we waived the fee for snaking..  We informed the client we would come out to do the service for no charge. We are doing our best to get a plumber out to her home, but we are restricted to after 430 service for this client. He response is , no normal person is home during the day. We could have got numerous plumbers out to her thru-out the day. So her suggestion of 38 hours is not accurate. At this point we feel that its best the client looks for another plumber who can meet her needs in a more timely manner. We do apologize for her inconvenience.

Dear Revdex.com,  Thank you for allowing us to respond, we understand that there are 2 sides to every story. My name is Tom Eshenbaugh, operations manager with Gillece Services. I did speak to the client while Eric was at his home. I offered him a credit towards the replacement of the old unit. In...

this case, the clients motor failed. WE gave the client multiple options, however we did not do a repair of the motor under the first contract. We did however give the client the option to have the unit replaced, as we explained that due to the age of the equipment and the lack of maintenance it may be in his best interest. This would have corrected his concerns today. He however chose a lesser option, and the unit failed. At this time our repair worked, our parts did not fail, we feel that a refund is not the solution. We also feel that the repair that we made is working correctly. As the customer stated his motor failed, and we made no repair to a motor.

Regards,
[redacted]I appreciate your offer, however, parts (not including labor) totaled the $97.11 plus $149.50 (noted on the receipt from Air Masters).  Total parts, excluding labor is $246.61.I would like to clarify what the Install Manager would be doing on his visit.  Your proposal states he would be coming to "evaluate" the a/c.  I would also want my a/c looked at to be sure it is running properly. Please give me an expiration date you are proposing on the Service Partner Program.  Is it one year from today or from the date in your proposal (at which this time it would be expired).Thank you for your time. Sue [redacted]

Ms. [redacted],   Thank you for providing us with a copy of the invoice. I am looking into this matter further. In our resource, I found that you did have a 1 year Gillece labor warranty which would have been up 02/07/2016. The only warranty that may be on this unit is with the manufacturer, and that would be strictly a parts warranty. That is a 3rd party and I am at no discretion to discuss their warranty procedures. After reviewing your complaint, I would like to extend for our Install Manager Ron S[redacted] to come to your home and perform a professional load calculation for the air conditioner. We will then evaluate what would be the best plan of action. As for the repair recently done, I can refund the amount of the part ($97.11) and extend 1 year of our Service Partner Program at no charge.   Thank you.   Best,   Amanda S[redacted]

In reviewing the attached invoice provided by the customer from [redacted] Cleaning Specialists, we first observe and note that we believe this invoice does not meet the guidelines and requirements under Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Law and therefore we believe is in violation accordingly.  Further, unless we are accidentally missing something, we do not see any paperwork from [redacted] that the work is guaranteed for 2 months and that the sewer line is not broken.Further and in general, if a a sewer line is snaked and/or hydrojet cleaned and is or becomes open, the sewer line may still have structural defects in which the sewer line may need applicable repairs or replacement.Individual companies establish their own pricing.  We provided upfront pricing and the customer accepted accordingly. As long as the customer desires, we would be more than happy to camera the sewer line again to further diagnose accordingly.

Once again, in the communication from the customer dated January 13, 2017, the customer communicates that the filters are no longer wanted.  Accordingly, an internal request had been made to process a refund of $159 for the filters. On the other matters as we communicated previously, we view this overall matter as potentially involving defamation on the part of the customer and potentially on the part of individuals/companies in the heating and cooling industry based upon the comments made by the customer. Accordingly, please have customer provide written information on the applicable customer's statements including "Later found out from their peers that they are one of the worst dealers in the area, and always in court" and "Buyer beware of this organization they came over to my house with a conman named Steve who is disguised as a technician with the purpose of conning me out of additional 9 thousand dollars.  Buyer beware Buyer beware, Buyer beware,Buyer beware,Buyer beware. Run from theses guys I am a retired sales rep and have never seen such unethical maneuvers."  In the most recent communication from the customer dated 1/17/17, additional potential defaming statements have been made such as "I have shared this situation with many of my friends and acquaintances and they all reply with the following statement: Why would you buy from these people they are know for those situations and high pressure tactics. And they overprice everything."  As of this date, the customer has not provided written information on the applicable statements made.  The warranty being referred to by the customer appears to be that of being through the manufacturer.  To expand, the labor warranty through Gillece Services has already expired and is therefore not active.  Any potential warranty remaining would be through the manufacturer. We believe that the Revdex.com has some responsibility in reasonably and adequately dealing with the potential defamation against our business by this customer, other individuals/companies in the heating and cooling industry, and friends and acquaintances of the customer.

Ms. [redacted]   I have reviewed the client’s response. As for the first complaint, there is no evidence proving our technician forced any signatures. Ron has been a member of our company for 8 years. Our policy has never been to scare or force anyone into something they do not want. The claims made against our technician are strictly hear say. In regards to the second complaint, Mrs. [redacted] signed our contract to remove the furnace. She was given the option to replace the furnace, which was declined. However, Mrs. [redacted] did sign our contract to remove the existing unit. If she did not want this work done, she had the right to cancel that work within the 3-days by using her Notice of Cancellation. Finally, it is my understanding that the Revdex.com cannot make any comment on price complaints. Gillece does provide upfront inclusive pricing in accordance to the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection laws.   Sincerely,   Amanda R[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com, Thank you for bringing our clients concern to our attention. We know that there are always 2 sides to every story, and we thank you for allowing us to clear up our. After further review of the clients needs I have found that the client had asked that we install their provided faucet....

Typically when the client supplies the materiel we do not have to provide any. We gave the client options to install our faucet with our warranty and they declined. They choose to go a much more inexpensive route. The client also had 3 days to cancel the installation of the faucet per HICPA laws.  We had to return because the initial faucet they purchased was defective, (not Gillece's product). Once it was found to be defective we returned and for no charge installed another client supplied faucet for them. Because we did reinstall their 2nd faucet at no charge, we do not feel that any refund is in order at this time.  We also have never advertised to be a low price company, we strive on service and that comes at a price.  Thank you for your time.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to one of our valued customers. We appreciate the hard work the Revdex.com puts in to make sure client’s issues are resolved. I have attached copies of our contract with the client’s initials next to all of the work that was performed that day....

Also, the notice of cancellation with the customer’s signature is included. This notice of cancellation gave the customer the right to cancel any work performed by our company until September 20th, 2017. Ron, service technician, was with the client for a total of 3 hours and 48 minutes. He communicated with [redacted] in person and John over the phone to make sure everyone was aware of the best solution. Ron followed the company policy for this situation.

I would like to reject the business's response to my complaint. I have reviewed the copies of the agreement they sent to you and I do not see anywhere on them where it specifically states as to whether it is a company warranty or a manufactures warranty, even on the certificate I have from them stamped with # 1254 specifically from Gillece Services and signed by Mark K[redacted] that says Congratulations 10 year parts and labor warranty, 5 year no lemon guarantee 5 year performance guarantee and 2 year money back guarantee, to which I have mailed the Revdex.com a copy of this, now however Gillece handles their manufactures warranties is up to them but when you give your customers a certificate stating that their parts and labor are covered for 10 years and they call with a problem with their furnace they are under the assumption that parts and labor are covered and when you tell them when they ask if it is covered and you tell them no it expired after 5 years surely you can understand our confusion when we have this certificate that states 10 years part and labor.

Dear Revdex.com,  My name is Tom E[redacted] (Operations Manager for Gillece), and I wanted to thank you for allowing us to clear up any concerns the client may have. I wanted to first point out that the client had us in his home on the 27th of March. At that time we inspected a unit that was over 20...

years old. Our technician Matt reviewed the complete system and use our state of the Art infrared camera system. This system is best in its class, and made specific for heat exchangers. There is not really a comparison when it comes to a white light versus a infrared system.  Infact we would be happy to make this offer to the client. We will at no charge to the client recamera the system, and if we do not find the blemish the tech found we will pay the fee of the other company. We would be happy to perform this task for our client. As we feel that we handled the customer in their best interest.

We would be willing to support the removal of the credit inquiry from the customer's credit report as long as the credit reporting agency is willing to grant this approval to the customer accordingly.

MY MAJOR COMPLAINT AGAINST GILLECE IS WHEN THEY BUILT A CLEAN OUT, THEY DID NOT MAKE A CONNECTION FROM THEIR CLEAN OUT PIPE TO THE SEWER LINE PIPE. IT DOES NOT MATER IF OLD PIPE, NEW PIPE, TERRACOTTA PIE, CLAY PIPE OR LEGO PIPE WAS USED THAT WILL NOT CHANGE THE FACT GILLECE DID NOT MAKE THAT CONNECTION FROM CLEAN OUT PIPE TO SEWER LINE PIPE. NO MATTER HOW GILLECE TRIES TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT AND I WILL USE A QUOTE FROM MR. E[redacted]: “ WE ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT PLUMBERS USE DIFFERENT LINGO WE UNDERSTAND THAT HE USES CITY SEWAGE AND NOT SEPTIC” THIS IS VERY CONFUSING, THEN STATE I AT ONE TIME HAD A SEPTIC TANK? GILLECE’S INCOMPETENT ACTIONS CAUSED FINANCIAL STRESS AS WELL AS PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS. WHEN I PURCHASED MY HOME IN 1988, THERE WAS NO WORKING SEPTIC TANK! TOO DATE NO WORKING SEPTIC TANK. WHEN [redacted] TORE DOWN GILLECE’S FAULTY WORK AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW CLEAN OUT, THEY USED NEW PVC, PIPE. WHEN YOU REPLACE CLEAN OUT PIPE YOU USE NEW PIPE,   ONCE AGAIN I AM CONFUSED? WHY WOULD YOU USE ANYTHING BUT NEW PIPE?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
