Hi [redacted],Thank you for submitting a reply to our complaint response.I wanted to address some of your concerns listed in your previous response. RateGenius is not the company who originated your application. If you applied through a third party, they sent your information directly to rateGenius in order to complete a loan refinance. I was not able to find your information in our system in order to provide screenshots of your application, but I would be happy to if you are able to email me your APP ID to [redacted].Additionally, rateGenius has not decided that social security numbers are not required to submit a loan application, that is federal law. During the application process, there is an opt-in that asks if you are aware that you are submitting an application for the purposes of obtaining credit. Once that is checked and the next page is loaded, and application is considered complete. The additional questions are used to narrow down information about your credit history. Also, the government does allow for consumers to shop around for the best rates without multiple inquiries affecting their credit report. This means that you as a consumer are allowed to apply as many places as you like for a car or a house within 30 days. Therefore if your credit was pulled by 10 different companies for an auto refinance, your credit report will update to one single inquiry affecting your credit score. I hope this helps to address some of your concerns, but again I am happy to speak with you directly if you would like further clarification.Thank you for your time.[redacted]PR & Content Marketing Manager

She provided you with the phone number and reference number to speak with the company who provides your warranty. If you were unable to reach them, please let us know and we can try to get a direct contact for you. Again, the number is ###-###-#### and your agreement number is [redacted].Please let me know if there is anything further we can do to assist you. I am rejecting this response because: I am confused why I need to go out of my way to prove my innocence when it is your company that made the mistake of putting the fraudulent inquiry on my credit report and not verifying a person's identity. This is not how America operates therefore, I do not accept having to rectify your mistake and I need you to remove this hard inquiry from my credit report immediately.

concerns properly and completely. When the credit union's lien placement was processed at the DMV, an error to the customer's first name by the processing clerk was made. The DMV entered "[redacted]" instead of "[redacted]." Since the lien had been secured and the title was issued to the credit union (the lender), we were unable to facilitate the name correction because we did not possess the title—the lender did.We contacted the lender that we placed the customer with on September 16th and 17th and agreed to facilitate the process of correcting the name change in good faith. As the legal owner of the vehicle, it was up to the lender to determine how to proceed. The lender then requested the paper title from the state of California. After receiving the title on September 28, 2015, the lender informed us that they will be sending the paper title to us. After we receive it, our Titles Manager will work with the DMV to correct the name on the title for the customer. We will ensure that this error is corrected for the customer. We thank you again for bringing this to our attention and we hope that the matter has been resolved adequately. Please do not hesitate to reach out to rateGenius should you have any other questions or concerns regarding your application.Best Regards,[redacted]PR & Content Marketing ManagerrateGenius

Hi [redacted],I am writing in response to your Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted] that was submitted on June 17, 2016. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with our service and we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. I wanted to respond and provide a bit more insight...

into the auto refinance process. According to our records, you applied for an auto refinance through one of our partner channels websites. From their website, you authorized them, and their affiliates, to access your credit report for reasons of establishing credit worthiness. After your loan application was submitted, all of your information was sent to rateGenius in hopes that we would be able to find a lender that fit your needs. RateGenius Loan Services is one of the financing options offered through their service. In order to provide you with an accurate offer, it is necessary for us and our underwriting partners to review your consumer credit report. Again, through the application process, you gave authorization to pull and review your credit report. Unfortunately, once your application gets to us, your credit has already been pulled and we are not able to remove this inquiry since it does not involve identity theft. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us should you have any additional questions, I am more than happy to help.Best regards,[redacted]PR & Content Marketing Manager

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:RateGenius was absolutely aware that this was a lease to loan refinance because they were in contact with the lienholder ([redacted]) and I also was required to submit a copy of my lease to [redacted] as part of my paperwork package so it could be processed. What kind of company would only not admit that this was their error as I have a signed copy of the refinance package, but actually plead ignorance and LIE about it? All paperwork was signed off on and notarized as agreed. I have copies of everything. I have totally done everything right on my part and RateGenius needs to now step up and do the same. The paperwork was signed off in April and I have to day paid two payments on our AGREEMENT.

I am rejecting this response because: Apologizing do not resolve or take out the hard inquiries it was made on my credit report because you authorized them without my authorization.  Take Out the hard inquiries and this will be resolved. Also I have received two more letters from Rate Genius stating I am pre qualified for auto refinance with you, really?  I thought you said I didn't qualify.  Put your system and records together.  FIX THIS

Dear Mr. [redacted],I am writing in regards to your Revdex.com complaint #[redacted] that you submitted in February 2017. In November 2016, rateGenius received your request to cancel your GAP coverage that you purchased in October 2016. Your request was received within the allowed...

cancellation period. Cancellation forms were mailed to you on November 18, 2016, via USPS, with a letter explaining the refund process. We received your signed form on December 22, 2016, and processed the cancellation.  Our Products Administrator confirmed with your carrier that the warranty check was mailed out on February 3, 2017. January 8, 2018 Mr. [redacted], I am responding to your complaint #[redacted] submitted to the Revdex.com.  RateGenius Loan Services, Inc. (“RateGenius”) works with a network of over 150 lenders nation-wide to help consumers find the most competitive interest rate to refinance their...

vehicles.  RateGenius partners with certain lenders to send out mailers to potential new customers.  The "pre-screened" offer of credit is based on an initial assessment of limited information from a consumer’s credit report indicating that he/she meets certain criteria. The offer is not guaranteed, as indicated in the offer’s disclosures.  Once an application is completed and a full assessment is made, it is possible that a consumer does not meet the lender’s full criteria.  If you do not want to receive pre-screened offers of credit from this and other companies, call the consumer reporting agencies tollfree at [redacted](###-###-####); or write: E[redacted]. We apologize for any confusion.  A notice indicating reasons for the decision on your application was mailed out to your address on file.  RateGenius appreciates the opportunity to serve you and all consumers.  If you need any further assistance on this matter, please contact me at ###-###-####. Best regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: In the 2 phone calls I had with 2 differents representatives , I specifically ask to send my info ONLY to [redacted] both agents told me not to worry because the only works with  Credit Unions, not banks and because I requested they wont send it to nobody else. The second agent Mr. [redacted] ask me if I would like to allo him to find others lenders I told him NO, calls should've been recorded check it, Never authorized to send it to other lenders,THIS IS A SCAM!!!  Of course this is NOT SOLVED!  Regards,

July 31, 2017 Mr. [redacted], I am in receipt of your follow up to the response I submitted on July 21, 2017 to your Revdex.com complaint #[redacted].  As requested, RateGenius Loan Services, Inc. (“RateGenius”) is diligently working with the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (“ILDMV”) to get the issue with your title resolved.  Due to the inaccurate mileage you provided in the application and an error made when the ILDMV issued the title, the process of securing the title has taken longer than expected. I apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused during this process.  RateGenius appreciates the opportunity to serve you and all consumers.   If you need any further assistance on this matter, please contact me at ###-###-####. Best regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Rate Genius (???REALLY???) Did a hard pull on my credit report and based on that, made me an offer. I agree to said offer and Rategenius sent me the paperwork to sign. NOT fill in and sign, just sign. THEY filled in every blank required for the refinance and told me to SIGN. I signed everywhere required and EXECUTED THE CONTRACT, then sent back to them. They called after receipt and informed me they wanted to send more paperwork and up the interest rate. Either they are playing an illegal bait and switch or their name HIGHLY over-rates their capabilities.

Hi [redacted],Thanks so much for your reply in regards to your complaint. As a reminder, you entered all of your vehicle information and personal information and submitted your refinance application through their website. We did not personally take your social security information and run an application without permission. All of the information was collected, your credit was pulled, and then sent to us to find a lender. If you are still looking around for a loan, please note that all inquires on your credit pertaining to a refinance are lumped together and entered as only one inquiry within 30 days of application. This will not negatively affect your credit. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email me directly at [redacted]. Thank you.Best regards,[redacted]PR & Content Marketing Manager

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:My daughter and I combined our incomes, which should be more then sufficient. And income seemed to be the main factor(,for being declined) as I read in your reply. My daughter also called and gave all the requested information.Again we where told the loan was approved.(not per-qualified.)This is false advertisement and also damaged my credit score with a hard inquiry .My only consolation is that Revdex.com has this on file.So maybe other people can read my complaint.not make the same mistake I made.

Dear [redacted],This letter is being written in regards to the Revdex.com Complaint that was presented to our company on 10/24/2015 (Case #[redacted]).Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of rateGenius. your concerns properly and completely. We appreciate your patience while we attempted to find you a lower rate on your auto loan. Unfortunately, after the initial review of your loan application, we were unable to refinance your loan with one of our lenders because you misrepresented your income on your application. On your application, you said that you make $4,000 per month, but you could only prove that you make $1,600, as most of your income comes from tips. We tried placing you with a lender with no proof of income requirement but could not get you approved. Then, we tried adding a co-signer, but could not get you approved based on the co-signer's credit profile. Management reached out to you to see if we could find additional options, but none were available. We never recommend not paying your current auto loan during the refinance process because you are still under contract with your original lien holder. You are only free from that obligation once the loan has been paid in full.We thank you again for bringing this to our attention and we hope that the matter has been resolved adequately. Please do not hesitate to reach out to rateGenius should you have any other questions or concerns regarding your application.Best Regards,[redacted]PR and Content Marketing Manager
