Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionWe take the customer experience seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address Ms***'s concernsWe should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely
facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThese sellers set their own prices based on their understanding of the current market climate, which means prices are not based on the original value, or face value--a fact clearly explained in our sales termsThe largest portion of any order goes to the seller, and OnlineCityTickets.com must instate a modest service charge to cover our operational costs, also clearly explained in our sales terms
OnlineCityTickets.com clearly labels itself as an independent company and a secondary marketplace that simply connects sellers of event tickets with customers looking to purchase those ticketsThe nature of our business is transparently described throughout our siteWe state the following on every page of our site "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue."
When Ms*** selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service and delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded textMs*** was then directed to review our terms and conditions--visible in a text box below this order total--and presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, she was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditionsI have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that she needed to click to continue with checkoutBelow this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Ms***'s case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $415.35, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms*** clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are finalAll prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds Ms*** was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our siteIf Ms*** has any further questions or concerns, we welcome her to contact us
Thank you,
OnlineCityTickets

I am rejecting this response because:I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on an extended hold, when I called to complain The associate did not acknowledge my complaint This is a scam company If I knew that I was on one of those type of web sites, I would not have bought the tickets
Sincerely,

Bought tickets for my father and I and for some odd reason we are not seated next to each other? I don't get that
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The business was aware of a problem with ***The representative said so which makes their statement about having all necessary information posted online about the sale a LIEThey should have had warnings posted that their emails old wind up in junk email and for customers to check that areaI specifically said their first email to me after the sale, which did not have tickets attached to it (They lied in their response) went to a inboxThis set up an expectation that the next email would also go normally to a regular inbox but they knew about the problem with *** and didn't post a warning on the website during the sake, nor in the email sent right after the sale that had no tickets attachedThey LIED twice in their response because NO EXTRA EMAIL WAS SENT JUST BEFORE THE CONCERT EVENT. They are a KNOWINGLY deceptive and disreputable company.

Thank you for your responseIn regards to Ms*** statement regarding the "face value," it should be reiterated that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsThe prices of the tickets are determined by the individual reseller based on a range of factors, including customer demandWhat is presented at checkout is the price of the tickets as they are at the time, not their face valueEvery ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage states: “We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue.”We have been in contact with Ms*** regarding this issue and have offered a courtesy resolution which Ms*** has rejectedIf Ms*** wishes to pursue the offered resolution, we encourage her to contact us directly, as our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that she may have at this timeWe have been consistent with our sales terms and consider this matter closed. Regards,Online City Tickets

I went to purchase presale *** *** tickets for Aug 13th at *** Stadium through the venue ***.com (***.com) min before the presale ended and it said no tickets available and I clicked on a link from that webpage and was directed to Online City tickets When I went to pick *** *** it went yo ** *** ***.com I still assumed it was through the Venue I selected what I thought to be good seats for this concert sec row seat 1- I assumed that the price was the face value of the tickets somewhere around $At checkout they charged me $for fees This was first time I purchased concert tickets for and event of this magnitude so I assumed it was normalMy final bill was $1434.90and then I noticed the seats said limited view Why would I spend so much on tickets with limited view! Once I got the tickets I seen that the face value was $ I called and spoke to a first line and was treated with disrespect and I asked for a supervisor She was rude and made me feel even worse I told her that I was deceived and I would like some compensation or I would write reviews of my experience She became angry and said let me speak I must give you the terms and conditionsI said I wanted a refund then I got the reseller storyShe offered me $courtesy credit I said I wanted more and she was just giving me more ammo for the bad reviewsThen she said that she couldn't give me the $because it wouldn't resolve the issue I asked to speak to her manager The manager started asking the canned questions in a rude tone, I asked him if he was updated by the supervisor he said yes and I asked him what he could do because I wanted more than just a $"courtesy credit" The manager raised his voice to almost yelling at me I tried to get a word in and he kept going I said I was done listening I told him that his supervisor offered the and then took it back I asked him if he would give it to me and he said yes I asked him if he could send me an email with confirmation or give me some confirmation number or transaction number He said no it would just show up on my cardThe ***.com reviews on their website shows all star reviews If you review all other website reviews they are not goodWhen you search onlicecitytickets.com through *** they advertise that they are A+ Revdex.com ratedI was deceived I thought I was purchasing through the venue, was not shown face value of the tickets, and was overcharged on the fees Customer service is horrible and treat customers with disrespectORDER #: *** ***

Thank you for providing this replyAs we previously clarified, we sufficiently notify customers that they are purchasing tickets from a resale marketplaceThe top of every page on our site states, "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue." Furthermore, customers must confirm they are aware of this by selected a checkbox in relation to the statement, "I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed aboveI understand that I am not purchasing directly from the venue box office and that tickets may be above face value."In relation to our customer's concerns regarding the price per ticket, each listing is priced by the seller of the listing, not Online City TicketsAs such, the listing which our customer selected clearly stated $per ticket which was reiterated on the checkout and review pages prior to submitting the order. As we have sufficiently addressed our customer's concerns and provided clarification, we consider this matter closedIf our customer has additional questions, we encourage them to contact our customer service department directly.Regards,Online City Tickets
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/09/16) */
We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Mr***'s concernsWe should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we
merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThis fact is noted at the top of every webpage including our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue."
While we understand that Mr*** contends he was purchasing tickets directly from the Giant Center, the above disclaimer and our branding clearly show that we are not affiliated with any venue or other ticket marketplaceAnd, while Mr*** takes issue with the fact that the prices of his tickets exceeded those advertised by the venue, our sales terms clearly state that prices may be above face valueMr*** also disputed this transaction with his bank.We have successfully disputed his claimsFurthermore, our checkout process gave him multiple opportunities to examine the full details of his order
When MrKerns selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service and delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded textMr*** was then directed to review our terms and conditionsvisible in a text box below this order totaland presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Mr*** clicked this button, he signified his acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed his order
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase processfrom a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are finalAll prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refundsWhile we understand Mr***'s frustration, he was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our site

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/09/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I'm disputing this case because I did not get the $worth of tickets I purchased which I selected from Online City Tickets websites available seatingI chose front row seats and understood and was willing to pay $What I received were e-tickets for the very top row of the stadium which were not the tickets I agreed to purchase at the cost of $I specifically purchased the tickets the same day they went on sale for that very reasonI wanted to sit close to the stageWhy would I purchase tickets on opening day of ticket sales to choose seats that were way up and in the back of the arena? I didn't have a chance to even view my e-tickets until one week before the concert which was when they were sent to my e-mailBy then, it was too late to get better tickets much less front row ticketsI trusted that the seats I chose and paid for were the same tickets I would receive
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/09/22) */
Mr*** claims that he did not receive the correct tickets he requestedHowever, this is inaccurate; when Mr*** selected tickets to his event, he chose tickets specifically for Section: XXX-XXX, Row: A-LThe ticket option displayed for Mr*** indicated that these seats are considered zone seating which means that tickets will be provided in the area parameters providedThe description of zone seating was disclosed to the customer when he was looking at this ticket optionTo elaborate further, the listing Mr*** selected specified that his seats would be located in section 201, 202, 203, or XXX (XXX-XXX) anywhere between rows A-LAnd in fact, the tickets Mr*** received were for seats in section in row H within the zone he requested when placing his orderAs indicated in our previous response, customers must explicitly agree to our terms and complete each part of the process; failure to do so prevents the order from being completedWe must enforce this policy and cannot issue a refundMr*** has disputed this charge with his banking institutionHowever, we have successfully disputed his claims
We now consider this matter resolvedIf Mr*** has any further questions regarding his order, we welcome him to contact a member of our management team
Thank you for your response regarding this matterThough Ms*** continues to press forward with this matter, Online City Tickets maintains that all pricing and order details are adequately presented prior to entering any payment, as no order can be placed without the customer being presented this informationAs we noted in our previous response, though Ms*** has filed this complaint and has been in contact with us, this order was placed by Mr***. As we previously clarified, Online City Tickets operates on the secondary market, which means we have no affiliation with the venue and operate on our own independent websiteFurthermore, this information is reiterated throughout the checkout processWe additionally explain on our website that customers may be paying above face value for ticketsDirectly on our website we clearly state, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venueTicket prices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue or box office.” As we previously detailed, after Mr*** navigated our website and selected tickets for *** ***, he was brought to our checkout screen where we displayed all ticket information and pricing detailsAs we have stated, this information is presented prior to entering any payment information though Ms*** has suggested otherwiseMr*** then agreed to our sales terms and conditions, where we state, “All sales are finalAll prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Online City Tickets has attempted to resolve this matter in the interest of customer service, though Ms*** has declinedMr*** placed his order on 12/6/and received his valid tickets on 1/5/for him to print and bring to his event taking place on 2/24/We have fully adhered to our terms and conditionsWe consider this matter closed, as we have sufficiently addressed all of Ms* *** concernsShould Ms*** or Mr*** have questions regarding this order, they are encouraged to reach out to our customer service department. Regards, Online City Tickets
I do believe that this complaint is, in essence, resolvedAs I had mentioned in my original complaint, I did acknowledge the differences between face value and actual price of tickets and I did agree to that upon purchaseHowever, I do believe that it should become policy to issue refunds when there is a significant difference between face value and the price actually paid regardless of statements put on the siteThat said, I acknowledge that Online City Tickets is not providing this service and I accept their decision regarding the matter.
Thank you for getting back to usAs indicated in our previous response, the listing Ms*** selected was clearly marked for Section: Bleachers 12, Row: A-CCThe following note was visible at multiple locations throughout the checkout process: "After you place your order and your order is confirmed, we guarantee that your tickets will be within the listed zone or section listed or one comparable and that you will receive these tickets in time for the event or your money back."Ms*** was provided with tickets in Section 12, Row BBAs such, Online City Tickets provided the exact tickets she chose, and has fully adhered to the sales terms and conditions that Ms*** agreed to prior to checking out.In response to Ms*** concern about the service fee, it must be noted that the service fee is the only revenue that Online City Tickets generates from a transactionBased on a range of factors, the service fee covers all of our operational expenses, from payroll for the in-house customer service center to the cost of finding ticket sellers and verifying that their tickets are authentic and valid.Due to the transparency of our checkout process, we maintain that Ms*** was not misled regarding the location of her ticketsThe tickets remain valid for entry, and we are unable to cancel or refund the orderWe did offer to provide a courtesy resolution to this matter, as part of our effort to assist Ms*** with this issue beyond what is required by our sales terms and conditionsHowever, Ms*** declined that resolutionIf Ms*** would like to discuss a resolution or has any additional concerns, she is welcome to reach out to our customer service departmentAs it stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets
So far it seemed simple and fast - I don't feel comfortable giving a full positive review until after I receive my ticketsAs for the purchasing of tickets it was simple and fast - which is always a positive
